In this episode, Seth and Jay Mike sit down with former Major League Baseball Player and current ESPN commentator Xavier Scruggs. Xavier expounds upon the need for a plan of attack and a strong circle as we approach life's journey. Many times, we enter circumstances that seem to be exciting and others that carry a weight of fear. Our willingness to surrender our hearts and minds for the sake of kingdom work is a must. As we respond to Jesus' commission, we must strengthen our circle of influence as we strengthen ourselves.
If you would like to connect with Xavier, reach out to him at xoathletes.com. If you would like to see more of what he is up to, you can follow him on both instagram and Twitter @xavier_scruggs

Just like loyalty, we must extend love in order to receive love. Everyone has their own ideas of what true love is. In our current culture today, we often fantasize about the benefits of love and what it does for us. This is an extremely self-consumeristic mindset that must be defeated. When approaching the scriptures, we see love is clearly defined. Based on its definition, what are we sacrificing in order to experience true Biblical love? Have you experienced this before? Is your friendship fueled by what you gain or what you give? This is love.
Fear. Something that is present within the decisions we have to make while serving those we love the most. In relationships, honesty is a necessity. Empathy is what guides us to the destination of hope so that honesty can be presented. These two attributes of friendship must go hand and hand. Join us as we discuss these traits while offering our life experiences as examples of the power behind honesty and empathy! This is honesty and empathy.
The act of influence is unseen. The product of influence is undeniable. When we begin to take on the Biblical understanding of following Christ, we begin to take on the attributes of Jesus. Our influence in this world is vital. Not only is who we are important, but who we place ourselves around is just as impactful. We must carefully consider who we are influenced by in order that we continue to seek to influence others for the sake of His kingdom. This is influence.
Accountability is more than a, "How are you doing?" We are in need of it. Our faith requests and requires it. We have been blessed beyond measure with the abilities to set ourselves up to remain obedient in our faith. Although many speak of it, how are you actually being intentional in your pursuit of holiness? Who can you be authentic with? What guardrails are up in your life? What is your tendency? More importantly, what relationships do you have in place for the sake of growing together as you grow closer to the Lord? This is Accountability.
Trust. This is not something we naturally extend. It must be earned. There is a work ethic involved in order for trust to be gained. However, trust is a necessary attribute that must be present within our relationships. Join us as we discuss our experience with trust, share testimonies full of vulnerability, and offer ways in which we can prompt new perspectives with regards to growing stronger and stronger within our friendships. If your relationship is a tree, it must be watered with trust! Even when there seems to be no hope... like attending a playoff game with no tickets hoping to at least enter the gates of the park!
Two call systems and the term loyalty. The question is not, "What is loyalty?" The questions is, "Where is your loyalty?" Solid relationships begin with investments. Loyalty has to be present when you grow a relationship. Loyalty is the beginning of life! Who are you investing in?Who is investing in you? Where is your loyalty?
