Welcome to The Even While Podcast, a gathering place for those longing to live life fully in the midst of waiting.
We are all waiting on something: a prodigal child to return home, a marriage to be healed, a long dark season to be over, (fill in your own blank________________).
If we’re not careful we end up losing our self in the waiting. Forgetting to live, we become oblivious to the fact that even in this season God has a purpose and a plan. He has called us to live the abundant life!
Stick around, friends, pull up a chair or turn the volume up on your heads phones and together we will not only discover life but live it, even while waiting well. Here's to cheering you on as we love God, live fully, and learn to dance in a season of wait!
Are you a caregiver for your parents? Or, perhaps that season is approaching but not quite here?
Maybe you are the parent and wondering how you can best help your child(ren) prepare.
Judy Burkle is bringing us a conversation that is a first for The Even While Podcast.
Since 1999, Judy has worked with thousands of caregivers in their homes, hospice, nursing homes, assisted living centers, and hospitals.
As a clinical social worker and one who also cared for both of her parents, Judy knows the difficult journey and

Have you looked in the mirror recently only to realize you don't recognize the woman staring back at you?
When your waiting season began, you started praying in faith and believing. Now you ask yourself: "How did I get here?" "Is this wait ever going to end?"
Weary in hope, depleted of joy, and wondering if God even cares, you find yourself veering off course and living your life on autopilot. Instead of living in response to God, you are now moving in reaction to the circumstances around you.
In this episode, you will be encouraged to take inventory of where you are and begin to move toward who God created and purposed you to be, in spite of your waiting.
This week, Carol Feil is sharing some of her yellow boot wisdom on The Even While Podcast.
This waiting season seems awfully long for many of us but what if there is something we can be doing to prepare us for the other side of wait?
Listen into the conversation with Melinda Patrick and Carol Feil. In this episode you will gain:

You awaken to the bold aroma of your coffee filling every room of your home. Making your way to the liquid sunshine, you spy the cute mug you placed beside it the night before just waiting to be filled. The clothes you need to wear for the day? No worries, they are prepared and ready to be put on. (Can you just hear the soundtrack from Cinderella playing in the background?) All seems right in your world.
And then, if you're like me, it all comes to a screeching halt as you wake up and realize it was only a dream.
Unfortunately, I am usually scrambling to finish things from the day before and rushing late into the new day.
Can you imagine starting your day already prepared? What would that feel like? Or, does it all seem too good to be true?
When the subject of taking care of our future selves came up, I knew the perfect friend to have on The Even While Podcast, Kathi Lipp. She is the Queen of Clutter Free and a great example of how to live life in a way that cares for your future self and your family. Through her books, speaking, and podcast 'Clutter Free Academy', Kathi teaches others how to have more life.
Join us as we discuss:
*why regular maintenance isn't just about cars
*mornings go better when they start the night before
*a different way to meal plan that could also save you money
PLUS there is a Christmas bonus that will help to minimize your holiday stress AND a BOOK GIVEAWAY!
-> To be entered into the drawing for the book giveaway, leave a comment here, in the show notes, on one thing you will be changing in your holiday traditions for this year. Is there something you will be adding? Have you decided to take something away? On OCTOBER 27, 2020 I will be picking a name from the comments and mailing the winner the 'Christmas Project Planner' book written by Kathi Lipp.
