The Tabernacle as a whole was built and put together using precise details from God. In today's message, Pastor Jason Mckinnies wraps up the Tabernacle series with some explanation as to why it was built the way it was and how the placing of each piece played such an important role to the larger picture of the tabernacle as a whole. He shows how even in the building of the tabernacle God was pointing to the most important event in our lives as christians, THE CROSS!
What is the ark? In today's message, Pastor Jason Mckinnies goes into depth about the ark and the importance of the instructions given to the ones who built it.
The Ark was called many different things throughout history and scripture including the Ark of the Covenant, the Ark ofGod and the Holy Ark. In todays message, Pastor Jason McKinnies reminds us it mattered how they handled, or mishandled, the Ark. The items inside the ark were also important and God was specific in His instructions. What specific instructions has God given to you and have you walked those out in your life?
The Tabernacle series continues today with Pastor Jason McKinnies. As we continue our journey through the tabernacle, we are reminded that Christ is magnified, there is a pathway to mercy and it's a two-way street.
We continue The Tabernacle series with the Altar of Incense. God was very specific about the instructions for the construction, but He was adamant that there must be consecration before the instruction. God introduced Moses in the consecration of the priests prior to giving the instruction of the building of the Altar of Incense.
As we continue The Tabernacle series, we come to the table of the shewbread. The table was unique in that it was made of acacia wood and overlaid with pure gold and around the top of the table was a boarder, a crown of gold. Tables speak of fellowship and crowns speak of authority, power and protection. God invites us to come to His table.
The candlestick was made of one piece of gold. It weighed approximately 125 pounds. It had a definitive look and had accessories. It's a reminder that we are to keep oil in our lamps at all times. Pastor Jason McKinnies also shows us in this message how the lamp is the Lamb of God. As we continue the Tabernacle series, we are reminded of how the candlestick relates to us today!
In today's message, Pastor Jason McKinnies brings us to the laver in the Tabernacle series. The brazen laver stood between the altar and the tabernacle. You could not be cleansed at the laver unless you first made a sacrifice at the altar. You could not enter the Tabernacle unless you made a sacrifice at the altar and were cleansed at the laver.
There were seven pieces of furniture in the Tabernacle. Seven is the number of perfection and these seven pieces show us the perfect provision of God for us to fellowship an be in relationship with Him. In today's message, Pastor Jason McKinnies continues the journey of leading us through the Tabernacle and the first piece of furniture we come to is the Brazen Altar.
As we continue The Tabernacle series, we learn that everything down to the last detail, was ordered and ordained by God. It mattered WHO constructed the Tabernacle and God was also clear about how many areas were to be in the Tabernacle. The spiritual significance of the gate and even the fence is a powerful reminder that the fence was meant to be a form of separation by which man could not get into the presence of God, but there was a gate! In todays message by Pastor Jason McKinnies, you will be reminded that the gate, or the way in, is Jesus Christ.
In Week three of the tabernacle series, Pastor Jason McKinnies continues speaking on God's specific instructions to Moses about the positions of the tribes and priests as they camped around the tabernacle. He also addresses the uniqueness of the emblems flown over the four standard-bearing tribes and how they correlate with Jesus in the four gospels of the New Testament.
This week Pastor Michael Dupriest talks about the importance of being a watchman. He touches on three contributing factors to why we have allowed things into our lives and our family's life. These factors are having distractions, being spiritually asleep, and being blinded by the enemy.He ends with Jeremiah 31, how God uses the watchman to blow the trumpet. It was a sign of restoration for the people of Israel and that God wants to do the same for us so we can be the watchman that God has called us to be.
In week two of the tabernacle series, Pastor Jason McKinnies focuses on how God was specific when He instructed people to make all things according to the pattern He laid out. Often, in our lives, we want what God has promised but we struggle to follow His directions. But if we desire God's provision then we must trust and follow His pre-vision. God was also very specific about the "positions" of the tribes and priests in correlation to the tabernacle. Be sure to listen for the word "faces" in today's message.
What do types and shadows, the passover, the third day and a priestly tribe all have in common? Those are just a few of the things Pastor Jason McKinnies touches on in todays introductory message in our brand new series, "The Tabernacle". You will also discover that God's Pre-vision made provision and how the biblical principle of giving willingly hasn't changed.
This week, Pastor Jason goes into depth about what the bible says about baptism and the importance of it. He touches on the two ordinances of the church and the how we most often talk about "The Lord's Table" and its meaning but leave the subject of Baptism untouched. He Speaks on the history of Baptism and how it became such an important part of our Faith. He also speaks on the commitment that is made when you partake in Baptism and the symbolization behind it.
Accountability is defined as taking responsibility for our actions, the obligation to explain or report our actions. It's the ability to give an account for ourselves. Pastor Jason Mckinnies concludes our Straight A's series with a message about accountability verses responsibility and how inaction is an action. Using the story of Adam and Eve, he lays out how the "blame game" has been on parade since the beginning of mankind. We often have a million excuses, or reasons, to avoid responsibility God has given us. In 1 Peter 4:7-11, God has given each of us a responsibility for which we are accountable for unto God. So, what's your excuse?
In accordance with Ephesians 3:20, we believe that God is able to do superabundantly more than we realize! In today's message, Pastor Melissa McKinnies challenges us with asking if we have an expectation of God, can God have an expectation of us. Is it a reasonable expectation? She tackles what happens when we have unrealistic expectations in this life and what it means to need a perfect gift from God. Lastly, you will be encouraged to change your order because often, our prayers limit God. This message is a reminder that we ask God for absolutely anything and everything because He is able!
What has your attention? Who has your attention? In a day and age of social media, 24-hour news, influencers and what feels like non-stop commercials, where is your attention? In today's message, Pastor Melissa McKinnies reminds us that we shouldn't be like gnats, that we should "pay attention" and that God desires and deserves our full attention. You'll laugh for sure because there's an object lesson you don't want to miss!
One of the oldest manuscripts of the bible, the Sinaiticus, doesn't title this book of the bible, "The Acts of the Apostles." Instead, it simply titles it "The Acts." Throughout this book of the bible you will see Acts of the Holy Spirit, the Acts of Jesus Christ, and through the power of the Holy Spirit, you will see the Acts of the Apostles. The book of Acts has no formal ending because the story goes on. The Lord isn't done yet!
In today's message, Pastor Jason continues our Straight A's series with Taking Authority over Athaliah. You just might be wondering who that is so we'll give you a clue. You might know all about her mother! Just remember, the enemy has one plan and one goal for your life and it is up to us to take authority over him, including the spirit of Athaliah.
In Ephesians 2:10, the bible tells us that we were created in Christ Jesus for good works. We have a purpose, we have an assignment on this earth. Society seeks meaning and purpose from various places and things including achievements, relationships, work/career and hobbies to name a few. But in order to fulfill our purpose in the kingdom of God we will find the advancement into our divine assignment is arduous. In today's message, Pastor Jason McKinnies touches on character development, isolation, crisis management, and communion caused by crisis. He will remind us that it is God's will that we advance in our assignment that God prepared for us.
When you were in school, straight A's might have been a big deal. For others, eh, not so much! We feel you, we really do, either way! But in church, straight A's mean something a little different. Find out how in today's message!

Jesus was set apart for a special purpose and service, and He was committed in carrying out His purpose. Through His commitment and consecration, we have been given a choice to commit and be set apart for a service and purpose. In today's message, Pastor Jason McKinnies uses the story of Naaman to show us that it takes a simple act of obedience in presenting yourself to God and that simple act can change the course of your destiny!
We are called to communion with Christ. Jesus called the disciples. He also called Lazarus but there was a difference in the call. Lazarus was physically dead, the disciples were spiritually dead. It's one of our favorite days of the year at SIWC; it's Vision Sunday 2.2! Before we can ever be a church on purpose, we must first know our own purpose! We are a church on purpose because nothing happens by accident! We will be on purpose across the aisle, across the street, and around the world! We will, along with God's help, build the church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it!
Pastor Jason McKinnies explores the three levels of doubt that David and Jesus had to overcome in their lives. He explains how both overcame those doubts and went on to destroy the giants in their lives by fulfilling their purpose. David served those around him, and in the end it was a victory for the kingdom. When Jesus destroyed His enemy, we became His inheritance!
Our first service in our new auditorium is proof positive that God will bless the work of your hand. May 1st is what many deem as May Day. It's the celebration of the return of Spring. It's to celebrate that the cold, dark, and gloomy days when growth has been stymied are over. Pastor Jason McKinnies reminds us that the May Day of the church is celebration but the Mayday of the lost is a cry of distress. Our May Day (growth) hinges on our response to the word's Mayday (distress)!

He asked Pilate for permission to take down Jesus' body and he buried Him in his new tomb. In today's message, Pastor Jason focuses on how Joseph of Arimathea begged for, how he took, how he prepared and how he positioned the body of Jesus.
"Jesus is coming soon!" Maybe you've heard this your entire life. By the signs of our times all around us we are reminded that the promise of His coming is nearer now than we first believed. We may not know the exact timing of the coming of the Lord, but Pastor Jason McKinnies reminds us that if we look at the signs, clues and the condition of our world, we can see that we are closer to His coming than ever before!
So often we go to natural solutions thinking that’s how you fix a spiritual problem. We have a misdiagnosis and we need a remedy! This week Pastor Jason McKinnies reminds us we need “salt”! In the Old Testament, salt was used whenever a covenant was made. In the New Testament, Jesus Christ made a new covenant with us. Jesus came to break the curse of sin and death through the new covenant! Jesus reverses the curse for all who believe in Him and that’s why the covenant trumps the curse!

This week Pastor Jason continues the series Hope Has a Name with a message about how the beginning came at an ending! It was at the ending of the Garden experience that the first prophetic mention of our hope was declared. Join us as we learn how the enemy’s plan was thwarted, God remains victorious, and we are overcomers all because Hope has a name. His name is Jesus.
Isaiah’s words nearly three thousand years ago, still ring true. For unto us a child was born and a son was given. It was all for us. The plan of Heaven, to give us hope. For God so loved that He gave, to us, Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ according to the New Testament was rich and yet became poor! He did this so that we who were poor could become rich! He is our HOPE and His name is Jesus!
One of the most famous hymns of all time is "It is Well With My Soul". The story behind the hymn is life changing. The writer lost his fortune, his son, and four daughters all within the same year and on his way to comfort his wife, he wrote the comforting hymn "it is well with my soul". Not only is the backstory life changing but the numbers it represents is as well! "It is Well with My Soul" = 8 4 7 and 8 4 7 = new beginning, creation, complete and perfection. Upon salvation we are given a new beginning as a new creation made complete and perfect in Christ Jesus!
This week Pastor Jason wraps up the Operation series with a message on Wide Open Spaces. We enter the wide open space through the narrow door mentioned in Matthew 7, but if we’re not carful we can end up in a narrow place! Pastor Jason continues the Lacking Nothing series discussing the importance of fruit, gifts, and armor to our lives. The Fruit of the Spirit makes us alive, His gifts cause us to thrive, and we are given the armor to survive. May the Fruit of the Spirit be evident in your life, the Gifts operating in your life, and may the Glory of the Lord be your rear guard!
As we continue the Lacking Nothing series, Pastor Jason McKinnies brings us the story of Gideon. A man who was called by God, but found hiding in a wine press, led 300 men to victory over the Midianites with just a horn, torch, pitcher and a shout! You might feel unqualified, inadequate or outnumbered and even the least of these, but God has called you to fulfill His purpose! Remember, you are lacking nothing when God calls you to do something for Him!
As we continue our series on “Lacking Nothing”, Pastor Jason McKinnies uses a story found in the Old Testament about a woman named Jael. The story of Jael teaches us five lessons of how we should use the resources that God has given us to bring glory and honor to Him. Jael’s actions may not have made sense in the moment, but she ignored all the fear and the “what-ifs” about the situation and ultimately, did what God was asking her to do.
In the Bible, we are instructed to put on the whole armor of God! Today's message is focusing on what we should have strapped to our feet, which is the gospel of peace in preparation so that we can face the enemy with firm-footed stability and be ready to produce the good news!
In spiritual warfare, it can often feel like we are losing the battle and drowning in the fight. From a biblical perspective, Pastor Jason McKinnies answers the question of why we war and lays out three principles to keep in mind while we are in the fight. He reminds us that warfare is normal and warfare is not defeat! He also challenges us that spiritual warfare is a sign we are winning! "Does the fire still fall?", asked the little boy to his dad while at a well known national park. His dad eagerly replied, "Yes, son, the fire still falls." In this encouraging and challenging Father's Day message, Pastor Jason McKinnies talks about how the fire still falls, why the fire still falls and what we can expect from the fire falling in our lives, in our homes and in our churches! The fire of God is a consuming fire and it is symbolic of His presence! The fire of the Holy Spirit will give you direction, revelation and confirmation!
"According to recent polls, 81 percent of adults in America believe in heaven, and 80 percent of adults in America expect to go there when they die. By comparison, 61 percent believe in hell, but less than 1 percent think it’s likely they will go there." Pastor Jason McKinnies finished up the Foundations series by focusing on the sixth element found in Hebrews 6:1-2, which is eternal judgment. He challenged every believer to not be dull in hearing the Word of the Lord, but instead be found ready when the day of judgment comes!
Have you ever wondered if there is “life after death”? Have you questioned if man can “live again”? Pastor Jason McKinnies dives deep into these questions during this week’s message as he continues our Foundations series. He touches on four areas that the Bible in both Testaments, promises us about how the dead will rise: directly, symbolically, prophetically and by the resurrection of Jesus Christ! Pastor Jason McKinnies continues the Foundations series by introducing the fourth foundation in this week's sermon, the laying on of hands. He talks about Jacob switching his hands in the Old Testament while blessing Joseph's sons and goes on to give us several New Testament examples including when Jesus healed a blind man. Through biblical text and scriptural explanations, combined with personal testimony, Pastor Jason definitely lays a foundation in this message that we can build upon!
In this Pentecost Sunday message, Pastor Jason McKinnies continues our Foundations series with Doctrines of Baptism! With an emphasis on building a solid foundation regarding the baptisms found in the Bible, this message goes through the law of first mention, what a dove represents biblically and the sermon Peter preached in Acts chapter 2. You will also learn about the three verbs found in Acts 2:37-39 and the Pentecostal pattern! Pentecost or Pentecostal, biblically speaking, isn’t a denomination but rather a celebration of the birth of the Church on the Day of Pentecost.

There are many ways to worship God but there will come a day and days when all we can say is "Hallelujah".
