The Deep Dive with Adam Roa: Recent Episodes

Adam Roa

THE DEEP DIVE is not your normal podcast because, well, there are no rules. The aim of the show is to give an authentic look into the minds of the thought leaders and game changers of today by allowing the audience to be a “fly on the wall” for an hour-long conversation. It is my hope that this level of authenticity will allow people to see that being successful isn’t about WHAT you think, but HOW you think.

Can men and women co-exist in a healthier way?

When we begin to understand the feminine and masculine dynamics in ourselves, we start to see ways that we’ve been dropping the ball a bit as a society and a culture. For years, this polarity has been misunderstood and even exploited causing major wounding, and generation trauma. This week, I’m chatting with Kevin O, an intimacy coach and thought leader in the relationships space who has views that some might see as triggering, until you really understand the message beneath.

Do you think you’re good with money?

We all develop stories around money. Whether it is a lack or scarcity mindset, or an appreciation and value of money as an energy, it seems that we all in some way experience a journey around money that develops throughout our life. So what is needed to properly move to the next chapter of our financial journey?

This week I talked to Michael Dash, an entrepreneur, best selling author of Chasing The High, recovering addict, retreat host, community leader and philanthropist. After a six year lawsuit with a former business partner, he sold his recruiting company of 11 years in 2018, and has had an incredible journey of peaks and lows in the financial game.

What does it mean to be a mystic today?

This week I chatted with my good friend, healer, thought leader, and modern mystic, Luke Kohen, about what it means to be mystical in today's day and age, and what that means for the dynamics around wealth and business. As I continue to navigate my own journey of wealth development, and my spiritual self, this conversation was insightful and provided some new perspectives on the importance of balance and unity, especially when it comes to the subject of money.

Do you think psychedelics can be beneficial?

It’s a study that has been getting more and more prominent in the medical field in recent years, how the use of psychedelics like cannabis, psilocybin, and even substances like MDMA and Ketamine can actually facilitate healing when used properly. But there are still a lot of taboos around the subject itself, and a lot more to be discovered.

For this conversation, I had the pleasure of chatting with my friend and licensed sex therapist Dr. Cat Meyer. Dr. Cat has been exploring the world of psychedelics specific to her field of healing sexual trauma and creating more openings in dynamics within partnerships.

Is it possible to leave our past out of new relationships?

Though being able to move into a new relationship without baggage or trauma from the past sounds nice, the fact is that it’s quite rare. Because we are emotional beings, we feel a lot and carry our experiences with us; good or bad. So how do these past traumas affect our new relationships? And is it possible to move into a new dynamic and have a healthy experience without doing the work to heal?

For this conversation I had the pleasure of speaking with Nadine Lee, thought leader, educator, and author of Sex Priestess, her new book about activating your Eros and sexuality in a new, and very healing, way.

Why is healing so hard?

We have heard a lot about trauma and the path to healing. If you’ve been a listener of this podcast then you know it’s a subject I touch on a lot, and have been more than open about my own experiences with trauma and the journey that is the path to healing. I’m still on it, and even with some deep work and amazing resources and information, I can still find it challenging.

This week I’m excited to be chatting with my good friend Zahara Zimring, an incredible human who I’ve grown with and healed with. Zahara is a coach and has worked to help many people open themselves up to the possibilities of deep healing, and the journey it can be.

Are you going through a life transition?

Life is a journey of seasons. Change, challenges, transitions, good times and bad, are all a part of our story as we navigate the human experience, and from all of these come great lessons for us to carry with us as well as many things that we get to let go of. I am currently experiencing my own time of introspection and transition, and I got a lot out of my conversation this week with Ben Brown. Ben is a former professional kayaker, youtuber, and now a well known coach and influencer, who was the perfect person for the conversation about phases of life and what we can learn about ourselves as we journey through them.

What can we learn from our ancient history?

The mainstream narrative that we’ve been accustomed to tells us that we have been a society of humans populating the earth for a certain amount of time, and that we are the most advanced that we have ever been. But does the evidence of our history really support that story?

This week I had the pleasure of talking to Matt LaCroix, an author and researcher who dedicates his work to studying and understanding the true history of our ancient humanity, in an effort to help us to learn more about what we have accomplished as humans, and what we are truly capable of.

Are you aligning yourself with your true path?

Sometimes it can be hard to discern between our own unique frequency and voice, and the voices in our heads that are not ours. These voices have been picked up and stored over the years from external sources, and it can be hard to realize that they aren’t even ours; unless we are willing to really find out what alignment looks like for us and learn adjust our behavior in a way that is in integrity to that goal.

Check out this week’s episode with an incredible human, content creator, and host of the Know Thyself Podcast, Andre Duqum. We dive into his process of finding his center, staying aligned with his goals, and some of the challenges he’s moved through to do so.

Do you recognize patterns?

Many will argue that science and God have nothing to do with each other. But what if science, geometry, and mathematics are actually the language of God? This week I had the opportunity to interview Robert Edward Grant, who you may remember from the past episode “Who Built The Pyramids And Why?”. Robert is a philosopher, brilliant mathematician, and thought leader who is working to expand what we know about our own history, and teaching his perspectives of spiritual expansion and human evolution through the mediums of mathematics and science.

What changes when we bring life into the world?

Becoming pregnant is not only about the birthing moment itself. It’s about the physical, spiritual, and mental work that happens in the process of creating life, and preparing ourselves for the stewardship of it. This happens not only with the mother, but with the father as well, and this perspective could potentially be talked about and explored a little more.

This week, I have invited Vuja Deus who at the time of this recording is about a month away from receiving his own child into the world. We are diving into a conversation about relationships, fatherhood, and the work that can be done in the process to ensure a healthy experience for all involved.

Does consciousness have a place in business?

As the world continues to shift and change, we begin to look more closely at not only our own personal development, but how to incorporate that awareness into the way that we do business both personally, and professionally.

This week I am chatting with entrepreneur, business owner, and also someone devoted to her own personal development and growth, Dom Farnan.

We talk about:

  • Dom’s experience of how her own spiritual awakening has affected her business and professional life.
  • The challenges of the journey from unconsciousness to self and spiritual awareness.

  • What it means, and what was learned in the process of learning how to run a conscious business in today's world.

What does it mean to be wealthy?

There is something interesting that happens when the subject of money comes up in conversation. Some lean in with willingness to learn or share, and some retract or even sometimes can become defensive or closed off. It is a somewhat polarizing conversation, and it is in this dichotomy that I believe some of the keys lie to actually making money in the first place.

This week I talked with one of my best friends, an inspiring entrepreneur and coaches who I have the pleasure of creating and working with, not to mention someone who became a millionaire at 24 years old and has not only a deep understanding of money, but a desire to always be learning. Gerard Adams and I have had many conversations about wealth and money, and this week I invite you to join us in this conversation of wealth and what we have learned on the path to financial freedom.

We talk about:

  • Gerards inspiring back story of making his first million at a young age, and what he learned as he reflects back now.
  • The mindset that it takes to attract wealth, and how it can sometimes take more than we bargain for.

  • Some of the ways we can not only become more of a match to wealth, but actually prepare ourselves for it.

Is there a gift in your shadow?

We face it every day in big and small ways. Our shadow is a part of us, and all too often something that we try very hard to avoid. The key however, is not to avoid our shadow but to really understand it and how to embrace it in a healthy way. This can be the key to living a healthier life, and having a healthier relationship with ourselves and those closest to us.

This week I am honored to be speaking with Richard Rudd, who many know as the founder of Gene Keys, and has studied with great teachers in the East, traveled through the Himalayas, the Pacific, the Americas and the Arctic in search of better understanding a vast synthesis exploring the miraculous possibilities inherent in human DNA. Thus, Gene Keys was born; as this latest, very special episode with Richard Rudd.

We talk about:

  • Understanding Gene Keys, and specifically how this understanding of ourselves can help us understand our dynamics in relationships.
  • How, sometimes, breakups themselves can result in a beautiful process of rebirth.

  • The difference between sharing for validation, and sharing for the purpose of allowing others to experience their own healing.

Can transparency on social media be unhealthy?

You know me; I’m all for vulnerable shares and honesty, and I have made it a point to be as raw and authentic about my experiences as possible. No subject has been off the table for me, as I believe that when we can be real and honest about what we’ve gone through, or some of the challenges we face, it has the ability to create healing in others that might be going through similar experiences in their life.

This week I am excited to be chatting with Matilda Carrol, who is a powerful medicine woman, tantra instructor and naturopath, and also an avid and tasteful presence on social media. I’ve been inspired by her message, and have always admired her ability to be so raw and truthful on her platform, and on this episode we talk about that level of vulnerability and if it is always healthy to be so real.

We talk about:

  • Some of the deep experiences that have come from medicine ceremonies, and what can be shared.
  • Our own personal perspectives of what is sacred about our own experience, and when it’s valuable to share with others.

  • The difference between sharing for validation, and sharing for the purpose of allowing others to experience their own healing.

Are you frustrated with dating?

I’ve heard this a lot lately, that there are not enough conscious men out there in the dating pool. Well, considering myself a conscious man as well as a single one; this question has confused me. The fact is, I know a lot of conscious and really amazing single men and have been impacted a lot in my own view of dating and sexuality because of the men I choose to surround myself with. So, where are they all?

For this conversation I am chatting with sacred sex and tantra instructor and astrologer who leads retreats around the globe, Cat Caitlinn. The topic of consciousness and spirituality in the dating world, and its role in the masculine and feminine dynamic has been one that I’ve wanted to dive into for a while, and I think I may have found the perfect person for the job.

We talk about:

  • Astrology! In fact, I even get a little reading from Cat in this episode…
  • The personal development industry and why it is apparently feminine dominant.

  • The difference in sexuality inside and out of the conscious community, and how it is affecting dating and relationships.

Do you lose yourself in romantic relationships?

If you answered yes to this question, don’t worry; you are normal. In fact, most of us experience this especially in the beginning of a new partnership or in the midst of falling in love. It’s easy to do. New love is a dopamine hit that is unlike anything else, and relationships themselves often become a very safe space that can be easy to find shelter in when dealing with a relatively uncertain world. These aren’t necessarily bad things, but when left unchecked can actually create unhealthy codependency and actually put a lot of strain on any relationships; romantic, business, and otherwise.

This week my guest is Charles Clay; a high level coach, husband, and father of 2. With two new lives to be responsible for, he and his wife get to experience the sometimes challenging dynamic of keeping their sovereignty in what can be a very busy and demanding experience; and he has some amazing tips and tricks on how to do so.

Should purpose ever give way to responsibility?

Most of us are aware of a higher purpose for our life, or at the very least on the search for a deeper meaning. Whether it is through our art, our health, finding love, joy, or hope; purpose is what keeps us moving forward and even gets us through challenging times. But how do you balance the responsibilities of life with the greater search for meaning?

This week’s conversation with Eka Darville was one of my favorites. As an actor, Eka is no stranger to the work and dedication it takes to find success in Hollywood. As a husband and a father of three young boys, he is also no stranger to the beautiful responsibilities that life can throw our way and how they can intersect with our personal goals and dreams.

Is the healing process ever complete?

Healing has been an important topic in my life and one I try to touch on often on this podcast. It is a beautifully intense process of really opening, being willing to be seen and see yourself, and also ready to step into the work that it takes to move through some of the traumas and woundings that hold us all back.

This week, I brought on Tim Morrison; an artist, healer, and facilitator who has experienced his own profound healing journey and has also worked with so many in their own processes to find deeper levels of themselves and their truth. I found that Tim and I had a lot in common, and I think you will too. After all, healing is kind of a collective thing is it not?

We talk about:

  • Some of our own personal journey of healing.
  • The work it can take to recognize patterns of trauma and start the work.
  • The importance of healing work, especially in today's day and age, and how healing ourselves can be a collective effort.
  • The depths of sexual trauma, and the mountain it can be to process and move through something that happens too regularly to both men and women.

How long are humans actually supposed to live?

We’ve heard stories of long lives, in some circles even legends of immortality. And as science continues to blow our minds with its advances, the Biohacking craze has been taking off especially in the personal development and health and wellness communities. And why not? If there was a way to live longer, healthier lives; why wouldn’t we want to know everything we can about how?

This week’s guest is Chervin, the founder of Cymbiotika, an innovative wellness brand whose supplements have become a part of my routine and lifestyle. He has studied the subject of longevity and health in Eastern and Western medicine, orthomolecular medicine, epigenetics, physiology, nutrition, detoxification, biodynamic agriculture, and philosophy and brings a boat load of insight and perspective to this week’s Deep Dive question.

We talk about:

  • The science and misconceptions behind aging.
  • How understanding your body as “electrical” can change how you see your health.
  • The history behind the sciences involved in BioHacking and longevity and how they are helping people live longer and healthier lives.

Live long and prosper, and enjoy the episode.

What does impact does spirituality have on dating?

I find it hard to define WHAT the spiritual community actually is. Whether it's conscious, woke, spiritual; it seems that there is a common thread in this community; relationships seem to be difficult to maintain. It's no secret that there seem to be more short term relationships than long term, at least from my perspective. But why is that? Shouldn't spiritually aware couples have an easier time understanding each other, or relating with one another in supportive and sustainable ways?

For this topic I brought in my good friend, who is a coach and has specifically focused a large part of his energy and research towards masculine and feminine dynamics in and out of romantic partnerships.

In this episode we talk about:

Why longer term "conscious" relationships seem to be struggling

The effect that the healing of the wounded masculine, and the rise of the divine feminine, is having on polarity.

Key take aways for couples looking to experience more polarity, more connection, while continuing to find deeper levels of spirituality both separately and together.

It doesn't have to be either/or. But as always, it's the awareness and intention that counts when it comes to dating.

Do you want to nurture your creativity?

I say it all the time; we are all capable of creative expression and expansion. Humans ability to create from new ideas and find inspiration in the world around them is a divine gift that is really at the core of everything we have created as a species. Every statue, monument, book, painting, building, idea, good or bad, all of it has been born of the creativity and ingenuity of human beings. It is a beautiful power that spans the scale of complexity and simplicity and can represent the soul of a person like know other medium of communication can.

This week, I’m so excited to have the opportunity to talk with someone who has actually inspired me as an artist for many years. Allie Michelle is a fellow spoken word poet, two time best selling author with another book of poetry on the way, breathwork facilitator, and so much more; and is no stranger to the ebbs and flows of the creative process. As I continue to move through the creation of a new project in the form of an in-depth breakup course, Allies words and insights are medicine for me and I hope they can be for you as well.

What is holding you back from your creativity?

So many of us have amazing ideas and powerful offerings that we want to bring to the world. I believe that we are all creative beings, and that if we were able to get to the core of our blocks and our resistance around actually bringing those powerful and creative ideas to life we would be living in a completely different world today.

This week, I want to share with you as much as I can around my own creative process. Through the lens of creating a new course on breakups, I want to share vulnerably how I am moving through my own wounds and resistance to bring this to life and prove to myself that I’m capable of diving into something I’ve never done before.

Why is death so scary to people?

We know that death is a part of life. It is that one, last great adventure that we all get to go on at some point in this human experience. Its inevitability doesn't make it any easier to lose ones that we love, and definitely doesn’t make the mystery of death any easier to comprehend. But for some, the fact that we are all going to die actually invites them to live a more purposeful life.

Branden Collinsworth is one of those people. This week I had a conversation about life and death with a friend, coach, mentor, speaker, and founder of Warrior Retreats, who recently experienced the loss of his mother; and has some pretty amazing insights on this topic because of it.

On this episode we talk about:

  • Brandens perspective on death after losing his mother.

  • Can finding meaning in life be a crutch?

  • How to go all in and still keep the balance of Yin and Yang.

  • What death can actually teach you about living.

What makes art healthy?

We often consider expressing ourselves as a healthy thing to do, and what better way to do that than through art and communication? That being said; there are two sides of art. The creation, and the actual sharing of it.

This week I Dive Deep with artist, wordsmith, and intellectual Lily Fangz about the process of creation of art, as well as releasing it, and where the lines of it being healthy or unhealthy can be drawn.

Does art really have anything to do with business?

We’ve all heard the term “starving artist”. I don’t necessarily know when the term was coined, but I still hear it referenced all the time; almost as an ok title. An artist struggling to make ends meet seems to make sense to a lot of people, which for a culture that relies SO heavily on art and the artists that devote their life to the mastery of what they do, has always perplexed me. Why do we value art so much in this society, yet see so many artists struggling financially? And what effect would it have on our culture if artists were able to focus less on making money, and more on the devotion to their craft?

For this topic, I brought someone close to me and close to this subject. Nate Stein, aka Equanimous is a devoted artist, and DJ who has navigated his way through all of the stories around art and money, and come out the other side now helping other artists to thrive in what they do and share their message with the world. For you artists and creators out there wondering what steps to take to make a profit from your passion, this one is definitely for you.

What is the deal with Web 3.0?

If you are asking that question, you’re definitely not alone. As cryptocurrencies and NFT’s become more and more of a popular topic of conversation, many are being left with more questions than answers. For some, this has them leaning into a new learning curve and dedicating themselves to understanding this new technology and what benefits it might have for them. For others, it can be a little daunting and can often turn off any desire to learn before it starts.

This week, I brought on my good friend Ramaayan who is a modern day wizard, a scholar and entrepreneur, and one who is incredibly studied in the world of decentralization and Web 3. We discuss what this new world of technology looks like for all creators, especially artists, and why all of us should care a little more about Web 3.0 and the potentials it carries with it.

Is art still relevant?

As an artist, I have dedicated most of my life to the path of inspiration, dedication, and creation of my expression through artistic mediums. Poetry, music, even cooking for me carries an intention behind it, and I strive to make everything I do artistic. The search for truth and authenticity behind what can be incredibly vulnerable and challenging at times, is to me what art is; and I believe that the world needs more of it.

This week, I’m speaking with Nick Onken who has also been an artistic devotee in his life and explored it (quite successfully, I’ll add) in a number of different mediums. We are discussing what art looks like in 2022, how the world of social media, algorithms, and instant access has changed the game, and whether art is still relevant and important as a medium for societal change.

What is the source of abundance?

You won’t find me disagreeing with the concept that money is energy. I do believe that it is something that can be attracted to us, or pushed away from us consciously or unconsciously. In the spiritual world it can be a confronting and sometimes controversial topic, as we continue to navigate the adage that money is the root of all evil, a concept that a lot of us grew up hearing. But can you be wealthy and still be spiritual? And what does it really mean to be wealthy in the first place?

For this discussion I decided to dive deep with my friend Mia Magik; an influencer and entrepreneur herself, who is also a witch and devotes her work and energy to bringing a deep understanding of the abundance that the earth provides and how it translates into all different aspects of our life. We discuss the source of abundance, the purpose of wealth, and a little bit of our own stories of our journeys there.

Does the spiritual community have a narcissism problem?

We are all in search of answers. Answers to the higher purpose for our life, to the truth about God or consciousness, and much more. The problem with humans is it seems that the closer we get to what we consider to be the answer, the more entitled and invested we become to the “knowledge” itself. Narcissism is an interesting trait, because it almost carries with it the tendency to close our minds and hearts to further growth, or information. When we pretend, or even believe, that we know more than others around us; we run the risk of halting our own growth in the process.

I see this happening in the spiritual community, as it continues to become more trendy and “IG-worthy”. That’s why I brought my good friend Luke Kohen on to talk a little about his own experience of spiritual growth, and if he sees a risk of narcissism in a community whose core intention should truly be about inviting growth and change for all of us. Luke is an artist, entrepreneur, and someone who I have a high level of respect for because of the journey and work that he’s done in his own spiritual walk.

How would a near-death experience change your life?

It doesn’t happen to everyone, but for some of us; life can completely change in an instant. We’ve all heard stories of people who have had near death experiences, a sudden accident or illness, something that can change the perspective of what’s really important in life. We hear these stories of the heroic recovery, the dedication and passion for life that is needed, and the new outlook that comes from some of these experiences. But, does that happen for everyone?

My guest this week is Aren Bahia, a Canadian entrepreneur and coach who has made his life in Bali all about empowering people and businesses. Aren is a pillar for his community, and a beacon of light for those around him, and 8 months ago was hospitalized after a motorcycle accident, unable to walk and almost dying. I’ve been fascinated with Aren’s outlook in general, but wanted to dive a little deeper with him on what has changed for him in the process of his recovery and if there have been any major revelations around purpose or just life itself after such a traumatic experience.

What does it take to really grow?

A few weeks ago I led a retreat with my good friend Gerard Adams in the jungles of Peru where we Dove about as Deep as one can go, in my opinion, and sat with Ayahuasca. Though I have sat with the medicine many times in my life, this experience itself was a first for me in that we were actually guided through the process of harvesting and making the medicine. The connection that this provided was powerful for everyone in the group, and though it was a beautiful and expansive experience, it left me in a place of deep integration that has been challenging.

This week I want to talk about my experience not only with the plant medicine, but also what it has brought up and why I have found it one of the more challenging integrations after a ceremony that I’ve been through. These types of medicine journeys are always confronting, healing, and particularly when we are going through times of transition in our lives they can bring to the surface much more than we might know is actually going on within us. Let me tell you all about it, on this week’s episode.

Is it even possible to find love on a dating app?

Love them or hate them, but dating apps seem like they’re here to stay. The “swipe culture” of modern dating has changed a lot about the way that we interact in today's dating scene and in a lot of ways is a mirror for our society today. But do they work? And are the incentives to swipe right or left based on surface level motives, that can create more harm than good?

This week my guest is Mia Lux, an entrepreneur, comedian, and Co-Founder of Lavette Social Club, which describes itself as a vetted, virtual, social club for self aware singles. As we Dive Deep into the topic of dating in today’s modern age of apps and technology, we also find ourselves discussing a lot about our own stories of love and how they have (or haven’t) found success on today's virtual platforms.

Check out my first experience of using a dating app after 10 years of being in a relationship, on this episode of The Art Of Choosing Love. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nLgWrIqIXF8

What is money actually worth?

Most of us are familiar with the term “money makes the world go round”, and it’s pretty hard to argue with it. We tend to lean towards the adage that “love is all you need” which can seem contrary to the belief that money is something we need. AND, some amazing things have come from the resource and the energy that money can also represent. Technologies and resources, new innovative ideas coming to life, art, education, and more; when used with intention, money has the potential to make big changes.

My guest this week is no stranger to money and the ability it has to make an impact. Jack Delosa is the founder of Australia’s largest training institution for entrepreneurs, The Entourage, which has a community of over 500,000 and continues to grow. Behind anything man made there is an entrepreneur and the resources needed to see that idea come to life, and Jack believes that because of this, entrepreneurs are one of the most important vehicles for change that we have today.

Is violence ever the answer?

It may seem that we are surrounded by violence in this world. Shootings, war, terrorism, violence in movies and games, tv shows and songs; it’s impossible to deny that there is violence in this world. It’s a complicated topic, because violence itself is sometimes reactionary; meaning that there are two sides to it. The conversation of whether or not violence is necessary or not, can be a triggering one to some but an important one nonetheless. It’s also important to recognize that we are currently living in one of the safest times in human history. It may not always seem like it, but I believe we are making progress towards a more peaceful world.

This week, who better to have this conversation with than former member of the US Special Forces, turned personal development coach and founder of The Art Of Masculinity and The Wildman Experience, and fellow podcast host, Johnny Elassaser. His perspective based from experience of what violence really looks like, really takes, and the power it gives as well as the effect that it has, offers a deep insight into the topic.

Can art make a difference?

What a statement; “the pen is mightier than the sword”. Its meaning is somewhat straightforward, that the power of communication and human interaction is more influential than any weapon and more powerful than physical force. But, is this still true today?

For this weeks episode I talk with author, poet, creativity teacher, and meme-artist James Mcrae, who as someone who expresses his art through the written word as well as teaches it, has some amazing perspectives about the power that still lies in the “pen” in our world today.

What role do artists play in society today?

For thousands of years art has been arguably one of the most important parts of our culture as human beings. Art breaks language barriers, and connects us and our history in a way that nothing else can. We have used art to communicate our history and the truth of our human experience, and in many ways the art is what paints the picture (pun intended) of what our own story and history looks like. It is also one of the things to be subjected to censorship in times of upheaval and transition.

This week I virtually sat down with Canadian hip hop artist, journalist, filmmaker, and some would say artistic activist, Matt Brevner. Matt provides a lens on his own experience of “the global pause button of 2020” and how it has shaped how he’s using his art and why. The ability for artists to speak from a place of truth is one of the most valuable things that we have in our culture, and also one of the most fragile. Enjoy this week's conversation.

What makes a great leader?

It's in times like this, when the world seems to fall further and further into confusion and division, that we look to our leaders for the answers that we need. Throughout history, leadership in times of crisis has made legends out of sometimes relatively normal human beings who, in those moments, were willing to stand firm in their values and guide others to do so as well. But, in a world where the gray area between right and wrong continues to grow, what does it actually mean to be a leader?

This week I talk leadership, and masks, with Nathan Kohlerman. Nathan is an amazing human who is a health and wellness wizard, founder of NeuIntention, and advocate for sovereignty who has spoken his truth about the need for masks during this time, and comes from a place of strength when it comes to his own values and his why. At a time when good leadership is of the utmost importance, one thing I believe good leaders should be doing is opening up these subjects for conversation. Enjoy the episode.

Have you heard the news?

It says something about the state of our culture when I would legitimately be equally as surprised if you said you hadn’t heard about the war going on in Ukraine, or the fact that Will Smith slapped Chris Rock at the Oscars. Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has had it’s fair share of shocking discoveries, and it’s a major topic of discussion today, but nothing shocks the world more than a good old celebrity scandal; and that came this month in the form of one of the more beloved celebrities of our age being overcome with shadow, and choosing to react in a way that has blown up the internet.

This week, on another episode of WTF Is Going On? I want to weigh in on some important takeaways from both of these issues and share a little bit of my perspective. It’s easy to jump to our own opinions, and react in whatever suits the emotion; but in these times I feel like it has never been more important to really step back and observe not only the events themselves, but why we feel the way we do about them. Enjoy the episode, and I look forward to hearing your thoughts.

What does it mean to be a man today?

Ok, be honest. Were you triggered when you read the title of this week’s podcast episode? I get it. Two major topics in today's culture (especially in the personal development space) are the rise of the feminine and mens work, and the line between the two can be a little blurry. The truth is that women have been silenced, objectified, and straight up mistreated in our culture (and others) for way too long and it’s refreshing to see the rise that is happening and the power that is being claimed. What I am noticing however, is how confusing this is making it to be a man today.

Where is the line between toxic masculinity and embodied kingship? What do women actually want in a man?

For this touchy subject, I chatted with coach, mentor, and speaker Brenden Durell. Brenden has worked with numerous men and women, and was also featured as a coach on the popular Netflix reality series, Too Hot To Handle. The subject of what it means to be a man in today's day and age is an important one, and a very confusing one as well. I believe that we get closer to a healthy answer to that question the more that we open our hearts to the conversation.

Do you believe in our youth?

The world can seem like a pretty crazy place sometimes, especially when dealing with all the hustle and bustle of being an adult in today's day and age. We have responsibilities, stresses and worries, relationships, and are all navigating through it in a world that is changing every single day. Sometimes, especially if we don’t have children, it can be easy to forget how the world today is affecting the children growing up in it. To have a bright future, it’s important to empower our youth with information and guidance. But, what may be unexpected sometimes is how much we can actually learn from our youth and to see how much perspective they already have on the problem in our world and what they might do differently. Were we the same way when we were kids?

This week, I decided to do something a little different. For the first time, I brought on 13 year old Benji Gonzalez, accompanied by his father Edwin, to talk about the world from the perspective of the youth. Benji stands out as a young teen who is hopeful for the world and focuses his energy on spreading a message of love and acceptance, rather than how to be cool or to fit in. Could this be the start of a world where tolerance and love for each other is the new cool? Enjoy the episode, and to follow along with Benji and Edwin check them out on Instagram at @benji.o_0 and @iam_edwin_gonzalez

Do conspiracy theories even exist anymore?

Remember not so long ago, when conspiracy theories or conspiracy theorists were seen as crazy tinfoil hat wearing nut jobs that spent too much time preaching about doomsday events, ufo’s and government cover ups and that sort of thing. Well, after the last two years of witnessing the world deal with a global pandemic and how it’s been dealt with, as things that were previously covered up come to light, should we even consider these theories anymore? It’s becoming more and more apparent that we are not exactly privy to all the information out there that really decides how we live as a society, or the systems that dictate some of the most important aspects of life today. One of the major questions of the last two years; What is actually going on here?

For this conversation I brought entrepreneur, farmer, and story teller Marc Angelo Coppola into a conversation examining the root of what a conspiracy is, are people inherently evil, and what lies underneath this movement of polarization that we’ve seen grow so radically in recent years on our planet.

Are you pushing yourself to your edge?

Life is full of edges and boundaries. Figuring out the difference between the two is a great way to explore and grow in a way that is healthy and helps you to continue discovering how to live as authentically as possible. But pushing yourself to your own edge is not easy, and by no means comfortable. It’s a process that will inevitably have you facing off with your fears and with parts of yourself that often go swept under the rug. This is where real growth lies, where real expansion can have a truly profound impact on your life and your reality.

This week I invited my good friend, and “edge pushing addict” Zahara Zimring, to have a real conversation about boundaries versus edges, and what benefits can come from being open to exploring both. Do we need to be constantly pushing our edges, or is it healthy sometimes to just exist in contentment and in containers we feel safe in? Is feeling safe an edge in itself? Let’s dive deep.

Is it wrong to want pleasure?

It may seem like a weird question, like who doesn’t want to experience pleasure? But it’s actually pretty surprising how many of us, and predominantly men, think that pleasure is a sign of weakness. Self love, pleasure practice, inner work, etc, these (to some) embody feminine sides of us, and for a lot of men who are caught up in a somewhat wounded version of what the masculine is, this can be confronting. Often when we think pleasure, we think sex. But pleasure is something that is experienced in so many ways in our life, through every single one of our senses, and learning more about how to find pleasure in all aspects of your life is a secret to a generally healthier overall experience.

For this week’s episode I was honored to have this conversation with Cam Fraser, an amazing sex coach as well as a certified Sexologist, counselor, and among other things; host of the "Men, Sex, and Pleasure" podcast. I myself have been a fan of Cam’s work, and followed along with his message for years, which is why I thought he would be perfect to discuss the topic of male sexuality, and the purpose of pleasure in the healing of masculinity. Enjoy the episode.

Are you staying up to date?

It’s ok if you’re not. Let's face it, there is SO much going on in the world today that the thought of keeping yourself in the know is somewhat overwhelming. We are currently seeing a state of being around the globe that is, I would say, unprecedented in our human history. So much so that there are things going on in this world, important and transformational things, tragedies and events, breakthroughs and accomplishments, that we will never even hear about. What is rising to the surface, especially on a mainstream level, are things like the pandemic, vaccines, protests, and the narrative is somewhat controlled depending on where you are getting your information from.

This week I wanted to update you. Not as an expert or a correspondent, but as a human being who has access (for the most part) to the same information that you do. I want to update you on a few issues from the last month that I find extremely important to be aware of, and what my perspective on it is. I hope it provides some insight, some value, and at the very least some awareness to some of the important stories of our current reality.

How do we remember who we are?

If we are to look at ourselves as a stream of consciousness, a soul or spirit, then we naturally must acknowledge that there is something bigger at play than just these human bodies and our short time on this earth. Many belief systems or spiritual practices acknowledge the possibility, for some the reality, that there are other dimensions and other lives that we have navigated before (and after) we ever embody these human forms. So where do we really come from, and what knowledge might we have stored in the deepest chambers of our consciousness?

For this question, there was no better people to discuss with than Ahaumna and Alex Tarris. You may remember Ahuamna from the episode “Is New Age Spirituality Syphoning Energy For The A.I Matrix”, and it was one that frankly blew a lot of minds and raised some deep questions about the current state of our planet and what the reasons and intentions behind it are. This week, I believe, will be no different; as Ahaumna and Alex continue the conversation and bring in further perspectives and clarity on their take of what’s going on cosmically and universally to bring us to this current timeline here on earth.

If you’re scratching your head already, prepare yourself for a Deep Dive on this week’s episode.

Is something missing in your life?

Not everyone feels called to finding a romantic relationship that lasts a lifetime. In fact, not everyone even believes that the idea of a soulmate is actually a real thing. The way we look at relationships and partnership has shifted and expanded over the years and in a way has become more customized to the individual and no longer needs to look like the conventional relationships that may have been the norm in generations past. But if you’re like me, there is a part of you that believes that “the one” is out there. That each experience, each partnership, and each breakup or transition, is a lesson and a stepping stone leading us closer to that person that is a fit for what you both are looking for in this life. As I continue to open myself up to the possibility, the knowledge, that my person is out there looking for me too, I realize that the work it takes to really have a supportive and lasting relationship begins well before you ever find each other. The time we spend single and sovereign is a time to get to know ourselves so authentically and honestly that we actually become an energetic match to that type of partnership.

This week my guest is Bibi Brzozka, a certified sex, love, relationship coach, teacher and facilitator, who has helped so many men and women alike become more embodied in their life, their sexuality, and their relationships. Our exploration of the topic of soul mates is one that you might relate to, know matter where you are in your journey, because I think that in a way we have all wondered it before. What is a soul mate, where are they, and what is the next step in calling them into our life? Enjoy the episode.

Are you being intentional with your sexuality?

I talk about it a lot on this podcast, and have been so blessed with some of the amazing guests that have come on the show to talk about sex and sexuality. It is an important topic. We’ve grown up in a society that teaches some very sideways things about the truth of what sex is, and now more than ever I find it so important to not only seek for myself, but share knowledge about the deep truth behind what true sexuality is and what we can access from it. The energy that sexuality is can be incredibly healing, or deeply damaging depending on how we are using it and what our intentions are behind it. That’s why I believe it is so crucial to really understand the power that we hold in our sexuality, and how to use it for love.

This week my guest is Juanpa Barahona. An amazing coach, facilitator, speaker at MindValley, and among many other things, a student of tantra and conscious spirituality; Juanpa’s energy and knowledge around this topic was felt from the moment I met him. Join us in this conversation around sexual superpowers, how to access them, and how to use them to spread love to ourselves and those around us, and may it open up some new perspectives for you to explore in your own experience of sex and sexuality.

What is your relationship with abundance?

There is a spin that can be put on the pleasures of life that isn’t always positive. As human beings who are working towards more love, more acceptance, and over all a less complicated experience of life; the belief that a desire for money, sex, or power, is actually harming our society, our planet, and ourselves. I totally agree that the unbalanced use of these energies has been detrimental to many aspects of our history and our current experience, and like any other addiction, when left unchecked these can be extremely damaging and harmful to ourselves and others. Balance is the key, and also true understanding of what these energies mean and how they can be used as a tool. To experience abundance, we first need to understand what an abundant or prosperous mindset really is.

For this conversation, I invited my friend Ali Katz: lawyer, entrepreneur, mom, and a good friend of mine who has experienced many levels of what it means to be abundant. The conversation around money, sex, power, and especially the desire for it can seem to bring up resistance, and as I had this conversation I even noticed that type of programming still present in myself. But if you aren’t willing to explore the topic of this type of prosperity mindset, is it possible to ever really experience it?

What does it mean to be a Goddess?

We’ve all heard the term applied to the women of our time, and is no more prominent anywhere than the conscious community. The modern, self-proclaimed title of “Goddess” has somewhat swept our culture and if you're like me, it’s becoming harder and harder to grasp the concept of what actually defines a goddess and what qualifies the title. Does calling yourself a goddess on your IG handle mean you are truly self actualize, or enlightened? Or is there more to the equation, and a deeper meaning behind what it means to truly embody the qualities of a divine being?

This question was perfect for a conversation with my friend Taylor Simpson, an incredible coach, podcast host, motivational speaker, and thought leader especially in the space of women empowerment and actualization. Taylor has her own perspective, and even her own triggers around the modern goddess movement, and offers a somewhat refreshing perspective on the subject. We dive into this topic to discuss some of the benefits and potential pitfalls of what may be turning into a fad, but is rooted in a truth that is so important as we continue to work towards healing the feminine and masculine dynamics, and empowering women to really own their truth.

How has 2022 started out for you?

On last week’s episode of The Deep Dive I talked about some of my tips for journaling and why this style of writing can be an integral part of setting clear intentions and moving intentionally into the new year. It’s an amazing tool that can be used to not only set intentions, but even discover new ones and parts of yourself that may be present whether you acknowledge them or not.

This week I decided to keep it short and sweet, and continue the conversation. This time, I want to talk about the different styles of journaling that I actually do. An important part about writing in any fashion, is that it is meant to be creative. When we allow ourselves to communicate through pen and pad, our writing becomes an art form and therefore can be incredibly healing. That’s why I want to share with you some of these tips, and let you in on the 4 different styles of journaling that I use.

My Ebook, “Treat Yourself Like Someone You Love - 3 Tools To Make Self Love Easier”, is all about how to really uplevel your self-love game, and I’ve laid it out in 3 easy steps. Go to: https://adamroa.com/pages/welcome

Have you set intentions for 2022?

It has been another crazy year. I don’t think I’m alone when I say that I really thought 2021 was going to be a little more “normal” than 2020, but it was hard for anyone to really be able to foresee everything that came our way in the last 365 days. Now, no matter how things have changed around the world or how people around you have changed, it actually makes it more important to be very intentional about HOW we are moving into the next year and clear about what we are calling in.

This week, as I prepare myself for a new year, I wanted to share with you one of the ways that I do that. Journaling has been a huge part of my life, and I would go as far as saying that I wouldn’t be where I am, or who I am, today without the dedication I’ve developed to this practice. I want to walk you through some of my own intentions for 2022, as well as offer some advice on how to set your own and really reflect on the last year in your life. This one is all about taking the wheel in 2022, and continuing to move closer to living the life that you want to live. Enjoy the episode, and I want to wish you a very happy New Year.

Are you willing to say no?

If you listened to the last episode, you know that I recently attended a retreat in Costa Rica that was all about tantra, connection, and for me was about understanding myself deeper and ultimately healing some of the sexual wounding that I still feel has played a part in my ability to really open up and authentically relate in new romantic situations. If you’ve been following my content for a while, you know that sexuality and healing is a big topic for me and I continue to challenge myself to step outside of my comfort zone so that I can dig deeper into my own shadow and wounding so that I can continue to level up and discover new levels of what I consider showing up in my highest. That means that sometimes, in fact quite often, I will put myself in situations and scenarios that are meant to make me feel uncomfortable, and learn from the process of moving through that discomfort to understand myself in deeper ways.

It’s not easy work by any means, and this experience at a very sexually charged tantra retreat was no walk in the park. Last week in Part 1 I shared some of my intentions, thoughts, and fears as I prepared myself for a week-long experience of pushing my boundaries. This week, I want to share some of my takeaways and reflections on the experience itself. I can tell you this; it was an opening, healing, difficult, and ultimately fun experience that allowed me to explore my own boundaries and ultimately really feel into what felt true for me, and when to really understand my own sacred no.

How far are you willing to go to heal?

This week it’s just me. Vulnerable and from the heart as I sit in Costa Rica preparing for a week long retreat that will undoubtedly push me to the edge of my comfort zone and probably dig up a lot. I’m heading into what is described as a “spiritual, sexual, shamanic retreat” that is all about sexuality, tantra, intimate connection, and ultimately; authenticity and healing. If you’ve never experienced or entered into this type of work, I can tell you, often it’s not as fun, playful, and self expressive as you might think. Sexual work is hard. It will push you to your edge, and force you to face off with beliefs and wounds that you might not even know you had.

As I prepare for this experience, this week I wanted to share with you my intentions going into it. There will be a follow up episode on my reflections and take-aways, and for now I want to dive into what I’m hoping to discover this week. What boundaries am I exploring? What fears or preconceptions are present? Sexuality is a deep topic for all of us, and as always, I want to give you a very real and very authentic look into my mindset going into what very possibly could be an expanding and healing experience for me.

Are you uncomfortable with nudity?

The topic of nudity is an interesting one and even a triggering one, even for me sometimes. In our society we have built up these social constructs around when and where being naked is appropriate, how much nudity is appropriate, and who it is appropriate to see or be naked with. I have always been a bit on the modest side (when it comes to nudity at least) and have noticed specifically in my past romantic relationships that there is a level of discomfort with being naked around other people. I’ve explored where this has come from, and done some work around what fears come up or what I’m making it mean to be nude around friends or even strangers. And going deeper, is it ever appropriate to be naked with or around another friends romantic partner?

Well, on this week’s episode I pushed the boundary to get to the bottom of this subject. I literally got naked with my good friends girlfriend, Abergale Bremner. Abergale is also a good friend of mine, and is a next level coach, facilitator, and entrepreneur in the space of woman's work and sexuality who decided that if we were going to discuss the topic of nudity and comfortability around it, we might as well be naked while we record the podcast. Truly a first on the Deep Dive.

Enjoy the episode as we dive deep into the… naked truth about nudity.

Are you exploring different truths?

I’ll start by saying this; you may want to listen to this one twice. For some of you this topic may be confronting, even triggering, especially if this is a new topic that you haven’t had an opportunity to research. For others, this conversation will only be familiar to you if you’ve done some pretty deep exploration and spiritual work, and opened your mind up to the possibilities of the world around us and further into the cosmic reasons for our being here on this earth and in this reality. This week my guest introduces herself as an alien from the future, also known as a walk in, who is dedicating her time in this body to being a guardian for the evolution of humanity at this time. Ahaumna is also a friend of mine who, among normal human experiences like hikes, visits, and events, also was a part of something that I have never really touched on publicly on this podcast; my experience with an exorcism.

This world, and especially this time in history, is full of information and misinformation that we all have the choice to either believe or disregard. This week I ask you to open your mind to some of the potential truths that may not have been available to you just yet, and allow yourself to feel into what feels true to you. Myself, I’m still in the inquiry of what I believe around this topic. But Ahaumna provides a light into a space that is deep, cosmic, and maybe closer to us than we really realize.

The virus of our time may not be what we think it is. Go deep with us on this week's episode, and I truly am excited to receive your thoughts and your own experiences regarding this disruptive, fantastic, and for some; unbelievable topic.

How sacred is sex?

I haven’t had sex in a while. It’s been intentional, and it’s honestly been such an amazing experience of introspection and even healing, but I’m not going to say it’s been easy necessarily. Now I acknowledge that my idea of “a while” may be different than yours when it comes to being physically intimate, but one of the interesting topics of personal inquiry that have come out of this time of celibacy has been in actually recognizing how sacred it is for me to connect with and even share my energy with someone.

This week I decided to talk about sex and sexuality with one of my favorite human beings on the planet, as well as a highly qualified person to discuss this topic with, my friend Dr. Cat Meyer. Dr. Cat is a licensed marriage and family therapist specializing in sex and trauma, as well as alternative relationship styles. Her platform Sex Love Yoga helps to evolve the relationships we have towards sex and to our bodies, and over all enhance our experience around sexuality. Join us for a deep conversation about the importance of understanding your own sexuality, how it can impact yourself and your sexual partners, and what it is you are actually seeking through sex in the first place.

When is all this inner work actually done?

I don’t think it would be a stretch to say that if you’re a listener and fan of this podcast, you have spent at least a little time in your life learning about and focusing on personal development work. Because this work is one of the most important inquiries in my life, and something I have very much dedicated my practice to; personal development and inner work has naturally become a topic of a lot of different podcast episodes as well as a big part of my work in the CREATE Community. It’s all about how we can continue to heal and up-level so that we can really live life as the highest versions of ourselves.

But how much inner work is too much? When do we actually get to claim healing, or is it a perpetual journey of deeper layers? As always, it’s another Deep Dive question that for this episode, I felt the perfect guest would be my good friend as well as a high level coach in the personal development space who brings with him an amazing story of inner work and personal development triumphs, Jason Goldberg. Two men who have a LOT of time in doing inner work and studying the world of personal development, discussing whether there is a point of diminishing returns, where that level of deep inquiry into our human experience can actually become too much. Enjoy the episode.

How important is integration?

In a pretty fast paced world and a culture that often relies on being busy to be successful, we end up with an incredible amount of experiences in our lives. So much so that I would go as far as saying that we probably only really notice and acknowledge a small portion of them, and therefore sometimes fail to see how these experiences affect our realities and our lives in general. I believe that this is often due to a lack of understanding the importance of integrating these experiences, slowing down and really being able to reflect on a time in your life or an experience you’ve been through (or even just your day) and feel into what effect these unique experiences are really having on you and the reality around you.

This week I want to share with you some of my thoughts about integration and why it has become such an important part of my life and my practice. The topic comes to me after an incredible trip and time in Egypt, where I experienced more than I could really explain and if I’m being honest; haven’t yet had the time or the opportunity to truly integrate. That time will come, but for now I would like to open up the conversation and share some of my experience, in this week’s episode of The Deep Dive.

Where do you find inspiration?

In my podcast I have always stressed the importance of creativity in our lives, and how it can benefit and impact a healthy experience. That being said, as a creator I am also an entrepreneur. Beyond my podcast there is my platform and online coaching business called the CREATE Community, my artwork and poetry, and numerous other projects that take a team and operations, content calendars, schedules, meetings, and on and on. I love all of it and always find myself on the path of my highest excitement in the process, but in the midst of all of it, I can definitely find it hard to find inspiration sometimes.

Recently I experienced one of these inspirational blocks, and in this week’s episode I wanted to share with you how I chose to move through it and get myself back to a place of creativity and artistic creation. Are you going to sit back and wait for inspiration to find you? Or are you ready to go out there and actively create inspiration, and allow an inspirational container into your life?

I hope this one inspires you to find inspiration, express yourself, and create something beautiful.

Does spirituality have a place in a relationship?

Trigger warning; this may be a difficult question to grasp at first. But in my last couple years of travels, whether they are physical travels, astral, or relationships, I’ve noticed that there is a level of spirituality that can be supportive of healthy relationships and one that also seems to repel it. During some of my time in Austin I’ve had the opportunity to connect with some brothers and leaders in the conscious community who work specifically with men and masculine healing, and when the topic of dating and relationship has come up there has seemed to be a similar theme. Are men sick of dating “spiritual women”?

Now, this question is meant to be a Deep Dive. What does spirituality actually mean? How does it benefit a relationship, or does it? And what is the core of truth behind the rise of the divine femenine and how does it match with the true masculine that also gets to be supported? I was grateful to have this conversation with Stefanos Sifandos, who among all of the work he has done in relationships and mens work, I consider to be a real human and a real man within this community. We dive into the topic of relationships, consciousness and spirituality, and how these affect (positively or negatively) a relationship, and the conversation is one that I think will add value whether you are in a relationship or out of one.

Enjoy the episode.

Is casual sex healthy?

Intimacy is an amazing thing. Whether it is a physical romantic connection or an emotional one, becoming truly intimate with another is the most vulnerable and authentic way that you can show up in a relationship. But, it can be terrifying. As we grow and learn things for the first time, we become guarded to experiences that cause us to feel different because it can feel uncomfortable and even make us feel isolated. We may not realize it at the time, but looking back, it is those experiences that allow us to accept the parts of ourselves that are unique and therefore valuable to a collective that can only be benefited by those gifts and experiences that only you can bring.

This week I invited Matt Cama, a superstar coach of relationship and sexuality, to talk about the topic of sex in and outside of relationships. What is casual sex, and is it healthy? Though this question has many answers and opinions, I valued the perspective and the conversation that was brought up in this episode and hope that it might bring new insight into your relationships with others, and with yourself. As always, it comes back to self love.

Enjoy the episode.

Do you prioritize your personal health?

Mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual; being aware and focused on our health is more important now than it has ever been in our lives. Personally I have been on my own journey with this, and I’m sure many of you have too. I’ve worked hard on my health in many ways. I fast, I work out, I meditate, journal, pray, and continue to allow my mind to accept new perspectives and possibilities to allow myself to continue to expand and grow. The balance can be difficult, and can become harder when something unexpected happens that can potentially shake confidence and trust. For me, I experienced this very recently when I experienced a certain… bug that has been going around. To put it bluntly, it got real.

This week I want to talk about not only my experience with this very talked about, and very famous virus and pandemic; but I want to talk about what it brought up for me personally. I have committed myself and my platform to being open and sensitive around this topic. Through podcasts and poetry I have tried to address not just my own, but the collective concerns about this time in our human history in a way that reminds us to continue to choose love. So when I experienced it personally I was able to gain a new perspective and reality that I would like to share with you in the hopes that it might allow more awareness, and most importantly compassion.

Here is my experience, here are my thoughts, and here is my perspective. Enjoy the episode.

What does “holding space” mean to you?

We have been witnessing a huge shift in the dynamics between the masculine and the feminine in our generation. Over time, we are coming to the realization that a lot of our concepts of what it means to be man or woman, in life or in relationships, have been deeply affected by ideas that don’t necessarily hold value to the world we live in today. We continue to love, we still pursue relationships and connection, and we still seek understanding in what it means to be in our power and balance within the masculine and feminine within us. But, should we be more committed and aware of the change that needs to happen?

On this week’s episode of The Deep Dive I chat with Sheleana Aiyana, founder of The Rising Woman which has over 2.4 million followers on Instagram alone, and has created a platform where she coaches and encourages women to become more empowered and aware of their strength and power in relationships and life. For any of you who may be looking to understand more about what it means to be divinely feminine and an empowered woman; this is a special episode that I don’t want you to miss.

If you could ask me one question, what would it be?

I believe that part of being in a community of like minded people is being able to have open dialog and conversations with each other, to communicate and ask questions, and share insights and perspectives. Especially with this podcast, a lot of the topics and guests I bring on can leave the audience with further questions and I want to be able to open up the floor, so to speak, and make sure that you feel heard.

This week’s podcast episode is a new idea and a concept that allows YOU to get involved in a unique way that is the first of its kind on The Deep Dive. A Q&A. This week I invited the members of the CREATE Community’s Facebook group (which is free to join) to ask me anything, and we got a great response. Though I couldn’t answer all of them, this episode has a few questions that you might have wondered as well, and I answer them to the best of my ability. Enjoy the episode and I look forward to your questions on our next Q&A podcast.

What do we actually know about our own history?

For many years, the subject of our ancient cultures and their societal structures has fascinated me. What is interesting to me isn't necessarily what we know about these people and these times, but what we don’t know that has been locked away in the pages of time and how this knowledge might actually change the way we live today. In 2017 I was invited to join a group of thought leaders, scientists, and evolutionary thinkers, to explore one of the world’s most impressive and mysterious wonders; the pyramids of Egypt. To say this experience was enlightening and inspiring would be an understatement, and though it taught me so much about this place and these amazing structures it also left me with many questions; and with one question in particular that continues to stand out.

Who built the pyramids, and why?

On this week’s episode I was joined by Robert Grant, who among his detailed resume as a CEO, President, and Chairman of multiple companies and projects; is the Founder, Chairman and CEO of Crown Sterling Limited LLC, a next-generation Cryptography company based on discoveries from his work in geometry and mathematics. I met Robert on that same trip to Egypt and this week wanted to talk with him about the experience, what it has taught him and how it has changed his life, and a little about an exciting adventure that we are about to embark on in the near future to see what more we can discover about the ancient wonders that are the pyramids of Egypt.

Are you having great sex?

I’ve always found it interesting that one of the most common and amazing parts about being human is also one of the most taboo and mis-understood. Perhaps it’s a bit of a personal subject, but sex is a hugely important and very normal part of our human experience. Sex is an art, and like any other art form it’s beauty stems from the fact that it is not something that can be mastered. It is continually learned through practice, education, and dedication to it.

This week I want to talk about one of the most important, yet often overlooked parts about intimacy that I believe can help you to experience better sex and better connection with yourself and your partner. Though my answer may sound simple, the concept behind it is one that we talk about a lot on the podcast and one that I believe can be applied to many growth areas of our lives. No matter how “good” you may think you are, when it comes to sex there is always room for growth.

Do you understand cryptocurrency?

It’s been a pretty huge topic of conversation in the last few years. The emergence of alternative currencies that are aiming to decentralize what the banking system currently controls. Money. It seems like even though it can be a bit of an up and down investment experience, those that know about cryptocurrencies are confident that it is an innovative opportunity to take power back and put the control of our financial system in the hands of the public.

So why isn’t everyone investing in crypto?

This week I’m joined by Oto Gomes, an expert in the crypto space as well as a heart centered entrepreneur who brings awareness to the foundations of crypto and helps us to understand a little more about why we should at least know what cryptocurrencies are offering, and why so many people believe that they are the future of finance.

Are you really in control?

It’s a bit of a crazy global climate that we’re living in currently. It seems that for the last while we have been experiencing a period of division and confusion that I wish I could say was the first of its kind. The problem is however, that we’ve seen it before. For most of human history we have been controlled, directly or indirectly, by agendas that may or may not be known to the public yet carry a huge impact on our livelihood and most importantly, our freedom. It’s intriguing and sobering at the same time to witness this pattern playing out before our eyes in today's day and age whether it is in business, entertainment, politics, or global health and wellness, and no matter what opinions you hold it’s hard to disagree with the notion that it seems that our portrayed level of control over our own lives is at a relatively all time low in recent history.

So what do we do about it?

This week I want to share with you some of my own thoughts about the times we are in, and our ability to be an influence in our own experience of it. To become aware of new perspectives is to give yourself choice in old ones, so I invite you to listen with an open mind and share your thoughts with me by heading to the new Deep Dive Instagram page. Enjoy the episode.

What does it mean to be masculine?

So much progress has been made in these last few years around the subject of gender dynamics and making sure that we are all included and acknowledged for both our masculine and feminine energies. We all have both, and neither of these dynamics are tied to one specific gender. Masculine energy is strong, stable, and self-confident. It is decisive, and loves direction and a purpose. The feminine energy is caring and nurturing, creative and collaborative, grateful and receptive. Understanding these traits within ourselves is an important part of living life with balance, and being our true selves.

But what happens when we are not allowing ourselves to seek this balance? In a culture where we are often told what it is supposed to look like to be a man or a woman, we can sometimes avoid the energies and dynamics of our yin and yang energies so that we can feel like we fit in, like we are “normal”. That’s why this week I decided to invite Connor Beaton on to the show to discuss what it looks like when men (specifically) are out of balance with both their feminine and masculine sides. Connor is the founder of ManTalks which is an international organization focused on men’s health, wellness, success and fulfillment, and I thought he’d be perfect to help me dive into the question, “Have Conscious Men Become Too Soft?”

Do you love yourself?

I know. It’s a tough question to answer. Self love is a somewhat trendy term and concept these days but the root of it has never been more important. At a time where there is a pandemic of confusion and misinformation, it can seem like a bit of a struggle to really look inward and find the power in ourselves to create and dedicate ourselves to an abundant reality that is beneficial to ourselves, our planet, and the people around us. I believe that abundance is not just something that we are born into, but something that we are capable of learning and applying to our lives no matter where we come from.

Myself, I have struggled with the concept of loving myself. It’s taken me tons of work, more than I wish upon anyone, to discover my own worth and how I can help others to see theirs. But because of that work and my own personal journey, I have discovered that it is available to anyone willing to open themselves to it. So what is the secret?

This week, I want to share my secret to self love with you. It’s not just a switch, or some key that you can find, but more a perspective shift to the somewhat momentary experiences we have in life that can make the most monumental differences.

To go deeper and learn more about my journey with self love and how to apply it to your life, I have written a book and journal that I believe can help you to experience more love and self worth in your life starting today. Go to https://adamroa.com/products/treat-yourself-like-someone-you-love-journal and I look forward to hearing from you.

Are psychedelics the only hope to save humanity?

Even though it is estimated that over 40 million people in the USA alone use some form of psychedelic substances today, it continues to surprise me how taboo the subject still remains. I have been completely open about my use of psychedelics and the impact the work has done in my life, and my intention behind sharing this part of me has been to break some of the stigma behind these types of medicines and allow people to make more informed decisions about the use of them. I fully believe that when used responsibly and properly, they can offer true healing and deep spiritual connection, and science is starting to come around to actually back up that theory.

On this episode of The Deep Dive I was excited to feature Psychedelic advocate, author, and international speaker Laura Dawn, who has been leading transformational retreats for over 10 years and inspires people to wake up to greater possibilities in their lives through the study and exploration of psychedelic medicines and experiences. The question this week; Are psychedelics the only hope to save humanity? And while the question may come off with a touch of humor attached to it, we go deep into the state of the world today, the people in it, and how we can start to look at alternative ways to heal the hearts and minds of our planet and ultimately create more love and understanding.

Are you creating enough space for creativity?

If you’ve been following me or this podcast for a while it may come as no surprise to you that I consider myself a creative. In fact, I’ve pretty much dedicated every aspect of my life to creativity, to strengthening that muscle that allows me to think outside of the box and really create. Now, even though much of my life and my work may come off as quite extroverted, I also consider myself an introvert in a lot of ways; perhaps, a “creative introvert”. I believe that to be artistically creative there is a certain amount of space and seclusion that we need in order to foster an environment that is conducive to uncensored creation.

This week I want to dive into some of the reasoning behind this concept and how I’ve applied it to my work and my art. As always, there is a bit of a deeper meaning in this that doesn’t just apply to art. We are all meant to be creative in our lives; in our day to day, our work, our play.

So are you giving yourself enough time to truly sit back, take the space, and allow creativity to happen?

Do you grow more in relationship or when you’re single?

For those of you who have followed me for a while you know that to say I’ve experienced the relationship game would be somewhat of an understatement. I was in a 10 year relationship, very quickly moved into another relationship that lasted for about a year, spent some time single, then was at it again for a brief period. What can I say? I have enjoyed being in partnership, and have learned so much about myself from my partners. My own personal growth has definitely made it a little difficult at times to fully open and surrender to love, but as I’ve learned more about myself and what I truly want I’ve found it amazing to see where the lessons come from. Especially those that pertain to love and relationships.

Though I've learned a LOT from my former partners, the partnerships themselves, and the transitions out of them, I want to share with you some of the things I’ve learned from my time being single. At this place in my life I find myself feeling more empowered, more aligned, and honestly more excited about life, and it’s something I don’t think I would be experiencing on the same level if I hadn’t made an agreement with myself to spend some intentional time in my life outside of partnership, sovereign, and single.

Are you over your ex?

This was a vulnerable podcast! In fact I would say this is a vulnerable topic for anyone who has been in, and out, of a meaningful relationship. No matter how tumultuous or amicable a relationship transition (or breakup) may be, there always seems to be an element of sadness or heaviness that follows. It’s natural. During relationships we experience deep connection, some would say an emotional addiction, and it can be very difficult to navigate the end of it.

But does that difficulty last forever?

I’ve been intrigued by this question, and I’ve also been interested in the perspective that my friend Chelsey Jo Huntsman might have on the topic. Chelsey is a coach, spiritual guide, pleasure priestess, and among other things an amazing human being who I had the opportunity to interview on this week’s episode. Do we really ever get over an ex? Does that feeling ever actually fade? Join Chelsey and I in this week’s Deep Dive question and I’m looking forward to your perspective.

How important is creativity?

I’ve done a lot of different things in my life, and worn a number of different hats. I’ve been a wrestler in college, a personal trainer, an actor, an entrepreneur, and so much more; all of which has brought me to where I am and created who I am today. It’s always interesting when we look back at who we have been and the experiences we’ve had that have influenced our current experience. Does it ever feel like you’ve lived 10 different lives? Through all of mine, I believe that one thing has really shaped my experience and has been a catalyst in continuing to expand, grow, and live with intention.

My dedication to creativity.

We are all creative, and actively creating the reality around us whether we know it or not. On this week’s episode I share my thoughts on why I believe that creativity has been one of the most important driving forces in my life and how I continue to use creativity in my day to day, my businesses, my relationships, and every other aspect of my life.

What does medicine mean to you?

There’s an interesting shift going on in our generation. A shift of the understanding of what plant medicine is compared to the gateway drugs we’ve heard about growing up. A change in the way we see the potentials of the products of the nature around us, and a growing curiosity of what healing benefits they might hold. The same way we’ve been told that normal, over the counter medicine can heal different things like coughs or colds, I have been a student of the way that plant medicines can help us to heal from past traumas and actually grow into higher more aligned versions of who we are.

So I’d like to tell you one of those stories from my experience.

I recently attended a experience in Mexico that had me in a somewhat intense, but enlightening, Deep Dive into the medicine space. Though this was not my first experience, and though all of the work I’ve done in this space is unique and heart opening, I wanted to share my thoughts and experiences from this recent and very powerful time in the jungle.

Enjoy this weeks podcast and let’s open up a conversation about the power of medicine, nature, and our own spirits when we decide to look a little deeper.

Are you part of a community?

It seems as if there has never been a more important time for us to come together as a community. In the past year we have seen so much divisiveness and have almost been forced into having to choose sides that we don’t really know that much about. It’s affected the way we live personally, but it’s had a major effect on the way that we live together. Human beings have always thrived in community with one another, learning from each other and expanding and growing together has been the secret sauce that makes us so different and so special.

So, what is happening to our sense of community?

This week I decided to ask my friend Virginia Salas Kastilio (a hyper-connector, crypto investment advisor and serial entrepreneur who was named one of Inc. Magazine's top 26 Women to Change the World) another Deep Dive question about the essence and important of community and how we build a thriving and abundant container to thrive together.

Is it a loving choice to keep people out of your community?

In this episode we talk about what it really takes to not only build but maintain a community that is beneficial to ourselves and our planet; and with years of dedication to creating connection I felt like Virginia would be the perfect person to ask.

Do you feel a little out of place?

I understand the feeling. The last three years I have been all over the world, nomadically exploring experiences, people, and countries with one goal in mind. To get to know myself better. After a breakup with someone I spent ten years of my life, and countless moments with, I decided that what was needed in the next chapter of my life was to find out how to love myself. I needed it. And as I dove into deeper trust and surrender, I realized that it was something the world needed too.

To understand how to love ourselves.

This week on The Deep Dive, I want to give you an update from the last three years of my life. Though I know I’m not unique in this, I’ve personally been through a lot, and these experiences have been kindling on a fire of discovery in my life that has allowed me to grow into and find acceptance for the man that I am today. From the jungles of Peru to the Dead Sea outside of Jordan and what seems like everything in between, I have been continually brought back to the understanding of the one thing that seems to matter the most. Choosing love. The more I travel, the more people I meet and experiences I have, I am continually inspired by the way we as a collective continue to choose love and share it with the world in our own unique ways. So, I decided to share a little of my story in this week’s episode “Life Update: Lessons From My Three Year Nomadic Journey”.

Are you worried about the vaccine?

I don’t think I need to clarify which vaccine I’m referring to, it seems to be on everyones mind these days and it’s hard to go anywhere without overhearing conversations about it. The question on everyones lips; are you, or are you planning on, being vaccinated. This is a huge topic today! And what we are starting to see, which unfortunately isn’t really a big surprise, is that it is starting to cause division all over the world. Yet again we find ourselves in the middle of a battle of opinion and there doesn’t seem to be a peaceful middle ground. Our health and our bodies are the most important things that we have, and I do believe that we are all choosing love in our opinions around this topic.

But are we doing enough to educate ourselves and come together?

This week, I’m answering a question that I’ve been asked over and over on social media, in my emails, and pretty much every where else. While I have admittedly been avoiding the topic for the most part due to the opinionated whirlwind that is the vaccine, I decided to face the question head on and share some of my thoughts. I invite you to listen with an open heart, and remind you that this is just my opinion. I respect yours and invite your feedback and conversation about this. After all, how can we continue to grow together if we don’t allow ourselves to learn from each others perspectives?

Should women be held accountable for sexualizing themselves?

Well, yes I’m aware that this title should come with a trigger warning and I don't find it hard to guess where a lot of people’s minds might go when they read this question. It is a complicated topic over all, especially in today's age of social media and selfies. In a culture where women are stepping into their power more and more, owning their sexuality in more healthy and expressive ways, and truly claiming their worth and their healing, it seems to be a topic from a feminine standpoint where pretty much anything goes. Women have been repressed for so long and in so many ways that it’s easy to not only see why, but encourage and applaud the freedom and permission that the feminine is giving themselves more and more in our culture.

So is the sexualization of women becoming healthier?

This question was actually brought to me as a result of my last podcast interview episode where myself and Aubert Bastiat explored the question “Are Men To Blame For All The World's Problems?”. I was reached out to by my friend Makenzie Marzluff, a heart centered entrepreneur, founder of Delighted By Desserts and (among other things) co-founder of my favorite cacao brand “Kakao”. Seriously, I take this stuff everywhere I go. Makenzie was inspired by our conversation around men and wanted to explore the other side of the coin based on her experience, and though the question itself can sound a little controversial, the conversation she and I had was inspiring and I believe her perspective is a valuable and important one.

Enjoy this week’s episode and I absolutely completely invite your thoughts and reflections.

What’s wrong with men?

I’ll start by saying this; Mens work is real, and mens work is necessary in this day and age. As a man I know that I’ve been affected by the trauma of a wounded masculine dynamic, I know many brothers that have been as well, and I can’t help but wonder how far this wounding goes back and how it continues to effect our world today. Men have been mostly to blame for the violent crimes, human violations, and over all problems (physical, spiritual, even financial) that are present in our human history; our past and present.

So what is the cause of this wounding?

This week on The Deep Dive I speak with my friend and brother from the Sacred Sons gathering I recently experienced; mentor, trainer, facilitator, husband, and father, Aubert Bastiat. Aubert has dedicated his life to mens work, an exploration of how men and masculine energy can truly show up in their place on this planet to do the good work that they, and we, were meant to do. So this week I ask him another Deep Diving, almost unanswerable question.

Are men to blame for all the worlds problems?

Yes or no, masculine or feminine, I believe we all get to connect and grow together a little further. I hope this podcast, and this conversation with this incredible leader of the work, will help to get us all further to the answer an the solution.

Do you believe in absolute truth?

On the surface this topic is already a pretty complicated one. But if you start to peel away the layers around this question, I promise you, it starts to go much deeper. It depends on who you talk to, it depends on their experiences, beliefs, religions, and on and on. So what is truth?

I’ve started something new on The Deep Dive, something I’m excited about. I want to ask my guests questions that are somewhat unanswerable and dive into a conversation that exposes not only the unique perspective of the individual, but also the expansive nature of the answer. This week, I was so excited to interview Kevin Walton; transformational coach, speaker, and all around inspirational thinker and motivator. I recently had the opportunity to hear him speak at Sacred Sons, a weekend of mens work led by some of the front running explorers of the subject, and was drawn in by his take on truth and what it means for our evolution and growth. So I decided to ask him the question on this week’s episode; Does absolute truth even exist?

What do you think? Enjoy this week’s episode and join in the conversation by heading over to The Deep Dive Instagram @thedeepdive.

We’ve all heard the saying; Money can’t buy happiness. It’s an age old debate centered around the value of material wealth verses peace and contentment. The idea that money not only can’t buy you happiness, but in fact distracts from true happiness, is an interesting topic that I think deserves more discussion. It’s been called the root of all evil, but is that really the truth?

This week I dive deep into another discussion around a question that probably doesn’t have an answer, with a respected entrepreneur and new close friend of mine Gerard Adams. I found a lot in common with Gerard, not only from a place of being financially successful in our lives but also from a similar experience of our journey to find self value and true self love.

There’s been an element of experiencing financial freedom that has allowed the two of us to feel creatively free as well, and this week I thought that it deserved a discussion about where we draw our value and how we use the wealth that we accumulate in our lives, whether that is financial or otherwise.

Where do you find your wealth?

I invite you to join the discussion with myself and Gerard Adams on this week’s episode of the Deep Dive. Are you still holding on to something that doesn’t serve you?

I talk about relationships a lot on this podcast. Lately you may have noticed that the subject has been around breakups and healing, moving on. No surprise there, I’m pretty committed to shooting from the hip on this podcast and being vulnerable and transparent about the things going on in my own life. My hope is that parts of my experience might offer some support to what you might be going through in your own life.

This week, I want to share some tips with you on how to move through times of change and transition faster and with more ease and grace. It maybe surprise you how simple this one is at first, but how difficult it can be to really apply to your life and implement in your experience. Try it out, join the conversation, and if you got something from this episode I’ll invite you to share this with someone who might need to hear it too.

Are you finding it hard to trust and surrender?

It’s discussed in different spiritual practices and pretty much any religion; how to surrender and have faith in a higher intention for our life. Some of us call it a Gods path or will, some call it destiny, and the debate of whether we are part of some divine plan or it’s all a random experience of our souls independence is on that is age old.

So this week I decided to take the podcast in a bit of a different direction. For my interview with international speaker, transformational coach, and author of the new book “The Magic of Surrender” Kute Blackson, I wanted to move away from the usual interview format and ask a question that doesn’t even really have an answer; Can you fully surrender while still holding on to your desires and the things you want to manifest in your life?

While it may bring up a ton of opinion, I believe this one is hard to answer. Kute and I definitely try to make sense of it in an in depth conversation that I would love to invite you to be a part of. It’s question that takes us to the core of many beliefs and core values that have a huge effect on the way we live our life and what we’re able to call in, definitely a deep question.

But after all; this is called The Deep Dive.

Enjoy the podcast, and for more from Kute Blackson or to get your hands on a copy of his new book go to www.kuteblackson.com

Do you really know what you want?

Everyone has their tips and advice on manifestation. How to do it better, what not to do, or what to avoid. It’s a deep process, one that has been studied and talked about much longer than we know. Calling in the reality that you desire, the job, partnership, abundance, health, etc is something that takes awareness and a level of personal understanding that takes a life time of exploration. So are you aware of the reason your not seeing the things you are trying to manifest? What blocks might be in the way that you may not even be conscious of?

In this week’s podcast I want to share a little manifestation hack that I believe can help you develop a smoother process of calling in the reality you truly want to experience. It has to do with naming your fears, understanding the root of it, and moving through them so that you can clear space for all of the massive abundance that the universe is ready to provide to you.

Are you ready to start seeing your dreams show up in reality? I hope you enjoy this weeks musing and I’m excited to hear how it might begin to work in your life.

“Do in need to invest in myself through pain, agony, sadness, and defeat,

In order to allow myself the sweet taste of victory? “

This week I’m releasing another freestyle. Spoken word, poetry, straight from my heart and my own personal experience. I’ve been giving myself permission these days; permission to accept myself more, to forgive myself, and love myself. To experience the life around me with a new perspective.

And, this poem feels that way…

Do you notice the difference?

As always, I’m inviting you to listen to this poem as an inspiration for your own artist expression. Maybe one that get’s to be released after such an incredible year. I also hope that you are inspired by the growth that you, and I , hear in myself through this poem. That it can be a reminder that through art and vulnerability, we are able to heal deep wounds that can allow us to continue to create amazing things not in spite of, but because of our experiences.

Enjoy the this freestyle, and I look forward to your reflections.

Do you trust yourself?

Trust is truly one of, if not the most important thing you can build if you want to have a healthy relationship. Now, most of us equate trust as something that we have with one another. Your partner, your boss, your parents, your friends; really how positive can these relationships be if we don’t trust each other?

But what about building trust with yourself?

We make commitments, big and small, to ourselves almost daily. “I’m going to eat healthier, I’m going to get up early today, I’m going to call that friend that I’ve been wanting to reconnect with”… but what happens when we don’t honor those commitments? It’s as easy to break this trust with ourself as it is to lose it, or have it broken, by someone else. It just may not be as apparent unless we are looking for it.

On this weeks podcast I want to share with you an exercise consisting of three ways to not only understand the ways that you’ve broken trust with yourself, but rebuild it. Just like any relationship, trusting in YOU is very possibly the most important thing you can do if you want to live a healthy, happy, and empowered life. And as always, it starts with awareness.

Are you ready for a trust fall? Join me in this exercise this week and let’s up level together.

How much responsibility do you take for your breakup?

Yep, that’s a tough question and probably a bit of a touchy subject. But it’s an important one, especially if what you want is to heal from the often uncomfortable and painful experience of transitioning out of a partnership. We sometimes tend to avoid the painful truths of our own part in what went “wrong” because, let’s face it, it’s so much easier to pass the blame then face the shadows in ourselves. However, when we do this we actually miss a huge opportunity for growth and expansion, as well as healing and forgiveness.

In this week’s podcast, I talk about why you SHOULD blame yourself for your breakup. Though it may sound a little off when you first hear it, I talk about how to face the responsibility you have in the end of a partnership and how it can help you actually acknowledge the growth that you’ve done by just realizing your part in it.

Do you desire to move more smoothly through painful relationship experiences? I invite you to listen in on this weeks episode.

Is your partner experiencing the best version of you?

Sexuality is more than just…sex. It’s an energy that exists in us that can be harnessed as an amazing tool to experience more joy and passion in all aspects of our life. I’ve been talking lately about the masculine/feminine dynamic and the role they have, especially in our relationships. I’ve learned a lot and been humbled in my own relationship experiences, and one of the lessons that continues to be more present is that I’m able to show up in my highest for others when I’m feeling safe being fully myself. This includes understanding the shadow, the wounding, and that inner child that can so often cause us to react in ways that don’t feel in alignment with who we are inside.

This week I was honored to connect with my friend Nadine Lee in a conversation around the beautiful and sometimes challenging dynamics of knowing ourselves properly in a relationship, and the work it takes to show up in our highest for partner and for ourself. Nadine is a teacher of the feminine tantric arts, feminine embodiment coach & nutritionist, and founder of Tantric Alchemy. We dive in to her work in the tantra space we also talk about the importance of further understanding our sexual energies, not just in the bedroom, but in our life in general.

If you want to hear some amazing wisdom and tips on how to make love to life and get the best from your experiences and relationships, check out this weeks Deep Dive interview with Nadine Lee.

Do you think that men are really ever going to be enough for women?

I realize right off the bat that this question might be an immediate trigger for some, but I hope you’ll hear me out. There are many different views and understandings on who, or what energies, embody the masculine or the feminine. But there is a natural dynamic between the two, and even though sometimes this dynamic can bring up challenges, it can also be a beautiful opportunity for growth.

In this week's podcast I discuss WHY men not only will never be enough for women, but why that is a good and natural dynamic for relationships to continue to thrive. Love is not about comfort, it’s about growth and seeing the opportunities in yourself and your partner to continue expanding.

Are you willing to let your partner be the best version of themselves? Let’s tackle this topic together on this week's episode of The Deep Dive.

“You asked, how can I know you love me?

How can I trust in us?

I said don’t you worry my dear,

I will give you the heavens above,

I wanted to give you the moon,

But you said it was not bright enough,

So I tried to give you the sun,

But you said it was too hot to touch.“

This growth journey can sometimes be an intricate dance between emotion and heart, head and reason. It may not make it easy, but it sure does make it exciting. Relationships take a lot of self awareness. Whether you define your own experiences as successful or not, it’s hard to deny that they all come packed full of opportunities for growth.

This week I’m sharing another poem. Rather than freestyle this time, I have decided to share a poem that was written and premeditated. One that I think sheds further light on the emotional experience of the relationship, love, and loss, that I have been both challenged and blessed by in the last year.

I believe the title exemplifies the complex nature and the simplicity of love and partnership. I call it “Us”.

I have an exercise that can help you shift your negative thoughts into positive ones.

Let me start by saying, it’s not your fault. We experience so much in this life time that it’s hard to not be influenced by the thoughts in our mind that may fall into the negative category. This is because our negative experiences, reflections, or assumptions, can potentially carry a heavier emotional charge than we might be consciously aware of. We have learned to survive from fear and being overly aware of our physical, emotional, and spiritual surroundings so that we can ensure that we have a pleasant and “safe” life experience.

But are these thoughts natural? Or is there a way that we can shift our negative thoughts and see them in a different light, one that might actually be beneficial?

In this weeks episode I decided to actually let you in on an exercise that I’ve used, not only with my clients but with myself, on how to take negative experiences or thoughts and change them into positive learning experiences that will allow you to change the lens your looking through. I’m a huge stand for practicing self love and authenticity, and changing the way you experience negativity is a great way to start to shift the way you see yourself, others, and the world around you. This is an exercise in becoming more magnetic to the experiences you wish to have in your life.

Grab a pen and pad, and enjoy the episode.

Do you believe in the “honeymoon phase”?

It’s likely that most of us have experienced it on some level; that period at the beginning of a relationship where you feel drunk in love, passionate, and committed to being your best self for your new partner. For some it fades and the intimacy of a relationship begins to involve more compassion, self work, and communication, for some it seems the honeymoon never ends. But, have you ever thought about what is actually happening in the physical body, in the brain and the heart, that causes those feelings? Is there maybe a way to reprogram our own tendencies to allow for more passion and joy as relationships grow?

On this weeks episode of The Deep Dive I’m joined by my good friend Dr. Cat Meyer for a conversation that ended up being about the science of relationship and connection. Dr. Cat is a licensed sex therapist studied in EMDR, energy psychology, yoga, and modern sciences as well as the host of the Eat. Play. Sex. Podcast. She works to bring awareness to the many different aspects of healing, not just the mental or physical and how communication can be a game changer in how and why relationships might succeed or fail.

Do you want to experience more passion, fun, play, and overall freedom to be you in your relationship?

My conversations with Dr. Cat are always insightful and bring up new perspectives that I believe can really benefit the way we see ourselves and our partner in relationship. Whether you are new to it, new in it, or have been with your partner for a while I highly recommend diving in this week with Dr. Cat Meyer and I on this weeks vulnerable and highly informative episode.

What does it take to really live the life of your dreams?

Everyone has their own definition of the “dream life”. For some it’s a comfortable life with a couple kids and a loving partner, for some it’s a location based dream like living by a beach somewhere warm, for some it’s a high paced stimulating life of flash, fame, or fortune. No matter what the dream is, it takes clear intention and often the right amount of effort and energy to accomplish. Whether you’re a stay at home mom or an entrepreneur seeking high stakes and high returns, it’s common for us to neglect the self care that is often necessary to stay present and manage the stress or different situations that may come up in the process.

On this weeks episode of The Deep Dive I’m joined by my good friend Jenna Phillips Ballard who has taken on an inspiring journey in her life, and is nothing short of a super hero. A former personal trainer for celebrities, Jenna is a proud mother, loving wife, CEO, and entrepreneur, and somehow juggles all of this while putting in the work to create balance as well as the self care she needs to stay in her highest. We talk about her experience juggling motherhood, marriage, and business, her tips for self care when going for a dream, and even the effect that your in-laws might have on your experience of being in partnership or being a parent.

Are you interested in unleveling your practices around self care and experiencing more abundance while accomplishing your goals? I highly recommend listening in on my conversation this week with Jenna Phillips Ballard and getting to know more of her inspiring story, and her next level perspective that has helped me personally to move through difficult times and stay focused on my own path.

“Part of you desperate to let go, the other part desperately holding on.

In some moments you’re dodging a bullet, in others you’ve made a mistake,

Sometimes you’ll smile and it’ll be genuine, sometimes you’ll know that it’s fake.

But the tears are always real, you can tell by the salty taste,

But in order to put your heart back together, you must first allow your heart to break.”

This week I decided to share something from my poetry journal. Yes, I have a poetry journal. In this poem I share some of my thoughts and insight about my own experience of the process of moving through one of the hardest things we experience as human beings;

Heartbreak.

There is reconciliation, growth, and redemption available in every experience we encounter. Allowing ourselves to feel is an important step in the process of moving on and into new and higher versions of ourselves. It’s not easy, and honestly I don’t think it’s supposed to be.

But I do believe it’s worth it.

Are you really aware of the effect your parents had on who you have become?

It seems simple enough. Whether you’ve always had a good relationship with your parents, a challenging one, or like so many; maybe didn’t even get to have a relationship with one or both, most of us will spend a lot of time thinking about how that relationship (or lack thereof) has influenced our life. Negatively or positively, it’s pretty hard to avoid carrying a lot with you from what is often the most influential of relationships we have growing up.

But as we grow, shift, and change in our lives shouldn’t our relationship with our parents as well? Is it possible to really heal and move on from patterns that are still at play or wounds that have been left unhealed? Or is the safety we may have experienced in a family dynamic holding some of us back from taking risks and chances that might provide new opportunities or a fresh perspective?

Its a big, broad topic and I want to acknowledge that every single family dynamic is unique in its own way and presents different opportunities and challenges. Each member of a family, big or small, is their own unique ingredient in the one of a kind flavor that is family and upbringing.

On this weeks episode of the Deep Dive “An Impactful Conversation With My Mom”, I want to let you in on part of my own family dynamic and introduce you to one of the most important people in the world to me. My mother.

The last few weeks have been all about being vulnerable. This week I take it up another notch as I interview my mother Vickey Roa about our dynamic as I grew up, some of our family challenges, and who we are to each other today. Enjoy this special episode, this very special guest, and as always I would love to hear your thoughts.

“What is it about me that needs to know?

Looking for certainty in a world that’s so uncertain,

Lurking behind every corner there’s something that you can’t see,

And yet there's this part of me that feels incomplete,

Or maybe just scared, if I don’t know whats out there….”

For this weeks episode of The Deep Dive, I decided to release another freestyle spoken word poem. This piece came from a place of vulnerability and honestly, heart break. It came from a need to be myself in the face of scrutiny, which is maybe a feeling that we all experience at times.

Art is medicine for me, and when I feel like I’ve done as much as I can to pick myself up and commit to my self love practices, art and creation is where I usually go to next. This style of spoken word poetry is the most vulnerable for me because it’s straight from the heart and totally freestyle in the moment. This allows what's really going on under the surface to come out, and that (in my opinion) is the healing and therapeutic part of any type of artistic expression.

Do you express yourself in an artistic way? My hope is that this poem inspires you to reach in, let it out, and allow the world see the real you however you choose to release.

Do you find dating difficult?

Unless it’s that rare “love at first sight” story, dating is an integral process to finding partnership, romance, and ultimately love. There are thousands of books, podcasts, or movies, all stuffed full of advice on dating (not to mention your friends, family, parents) but why when it comes down to it, is finding authentic connection through dating still so hard?

In this weeks podcast I’m joined by Chicago based writer, podcaster, and recording artist Case Kenny in a conversation about the dynamic world of dating and relationships. From the importance of communication to the subject of one night stands, Case and I navigate our thoughts on the whole process based on our own experiences of dating and share in some new perspectives that opened up the topic for us in a brand new way.

If you desire to find the “one”, dating and exploration is pretty much inevitable. So, do you want to experience more ease and grace in the process? I hope my conversation with Case Kenny can be beneficial in moving towards more self awareness and in turn, an easier and more enjoyable experience of dating.

Are you afraid of being yourself in relationship?

Being aware of who we are is so important in all aspects of our life, and its a journey of discovery. But, it’s so important when we’re in a relationship. It can be easy to lose ourselves in the idea of what we “should be” when we are trying to please someone else’s vision of partnership. We want to love fully, we want to show up for those that we care about, so where do we draw the line between ourselves and the expectation of who we should be?

This week I decided to talk about what it means to be in a conscious relationship. A term that gets thrown around a lot, but has immense value in the effect it can have on romantic partnership.

Are you allowing yourself to be fully seen? Furthermore, are you allowing yourself to really SEE your partner? I believe that both lead to an elevated understanding of what it means to be in relationship, especially a romantic one, and I would love for you to join me in the conversation on this weeks episode of The Deep Dive.

What is the difference between anxiety and excitement?

Have you ever noticed that the reaction to both is quite similar? Our heart rate may go up, or our palms may get sweaty, and we definitely start thinking ahead. But where anxiety is mostly recognized as a negative experience, excitement is generally associated with something good coming.

Though they are quite similar feelings in a lot of ways, but they are very different. This is apparent more in the effect it has on the body and the mind, and guess what? It can be shifted.

In this weeks Deep Dive Musing I talk about not only the difference between anxiety and excitement, but how to actually shift your an anxious experience to a positive and exciting one. You guessed it, it all depends on your perspective.

Are you creating abundance?

Experiencing abundance in our life comes in many different forms. Abundant relationships, experiences, and even abundance in our wealth dynamics. But are you actively creating it?

It’s been interesting to me to notice the little acts of service that actually end up creating abundance in my life. I used to hold so tightly to my money, until I realized that giving to others started creating more wealth in my life. That the feeling of scarcity around my finances or my relationships actually created a wall in front of me that held me back from building more abundance in those areas, and many others.

During this holiday season, especially in this interesting year of 2020, I encourage you to look at the ways you are not only creating abundance, but sharing it with others. It’s time for us to realize that giving is receiving. That sharing your experience, your time, your wealth, with others is actually something that pays back in abundance to your own life.

Do you want to create more abundance in your life? Dive in with me this week as we talk about how I personally went from a scarcity mindset to an experience of abundance on this weeks Deep Dive Musing.

Have you felt rejected before?

Rejection comes in many forms, whether it’s that job you wanted but didn’t make the cut, that audition you had that you didn’t land, or that “one that got away” that you’ll never forget. That feeling is always hard, and can trigger deeper wounds of not being enough or being unworthy that unless we deal with properly we end up carrying with us.

In my musing this week, I dive in three ways that I’ve dealt with the feeling of rejection, that you can start even if you’re in the midst of it. I also talk about the importance of allowing ourselves to really FEEL, even when the feeling is sometimes unwelcome.

Do you want to move through the feeling of being rejected in a healthier way? Lets talk about it in this weeks musing.

Have you ever thought about the reason why we fall in love?
We all know the feelings and attraction associated with feeling love for another person, but why do we as humans actually desire that connection?
Perhaps there is something deeper to the need for connection then just romantic connection, like an inquiry into our makeup as a person that we can learn and grow from.

In my Deep Dive this week with Kute Blackson, we talk about the human dynamics of relationship and how whether it lasts one month or ten years we can still see the experience as a success if we choose to look at it in a different way.

Do you believe in manifestation? Or that the way you show up in the world actually has an effect on your physical reality?

It can be so easy for us to disregard other people’s opinions, especially if they hold values or views that you don’t agree with. But, what if we changed the way we listen?

In this weeks Musing, I go deep on the effect that compassion, and especially compassionate conversation, can have on your ability to manifest and create your reality. If we choose to listen to understand, not to respond, we open ourselves up to a new world of possibilities that ultimately help to shape the way you see the world, in turn effecting the reality you live in.

Manifesting anything is a deep process, with many layers and ingredients. Find out why compassion is an important one in this weeks episode of the Deep Dive.

If you experience conflict with your partner, it means something is wrong, right? But did you know for every five positive interactions, you need to have one negative interaction? This has been shown to be a minimum requirement for a successful, happy relationship.

And when you have conflict, do you believe you need to fix the problem? But did you know 69% of problems don’t actually get resolved? In long-term relationships, these problems go unsolved because they are based on the differences in who they are as a person.

Believing there shouldn’t be any conflict in your relationship, and if there is conflict you need to solve it, are two of the most common relationship myths. And in this Deep Dive Musing, I debunk them both, as well as provide you with a clear understanding as to why they are myths and how to actually navigate through the two to ensure your relationship thrives.

I believe art is a technology. And when we create art, it becomes a catalyst for our own evolution and growth. The process of creating forces us to face off with so much of ourselves, from our fears, our doubts, and our limitations. But this face-off presents us with two choices: Do we work through what we’re facing or do we allow it to stop us? In this Deep Dive Musing, I've broken down the artistic process into the five D's you must venture through in order to not only emerge with art but also emerge as a higher more expanded version of who we're here to be. Ultimately, I describe how sticking to the process can become a personal development time capsule and how this process has gown through me when creating my latest single, Chase Me. Before tuning in, I highly recommend checking out my song, Chase Me, first to give you more context as to what I’m discussing in this Deep Dive musing. Tune in now, here.

We all are climbing the mountain we think that will make us the happiest. But how do ensure we don’t get to the top of our “summit” and realize we aren’t fulfilled? How do we ensure we are living a life that is so deeply connected to ourselves, those around us, and our real purpose that we actually enjoy the journey along the way? How do we ensure once we get to the top, we feel actually feel the sense of fulfillment we have been working for? Most of us don’t realize how disconnected we are from everything around us, including ourselves. We either live subconsciously or live purposefully in avoidance of what is. So how do we release the avoidance and live more consciously? There is this idea that attachment is bad and we should let all our attachment go. But in reality, attachment is extremely important. We are designed to get attached to things for our own survival. And by learning our attachment style, we also learn so much about ourselves, how we operate and what our needs are. So what’s your attachment style? In this Musing of The Deep Dive with me, Adam Roa, I unravel attachment, specifically attachment theory. It’s a very complex theory, although I bring you a simplified version to ensure you build a basic understanding of your own style of attachment. Plus, I explain ways you can spot attachment styles in others, as well as how you can actively shift your own attachment style (yes, you can change it!). This episode is inspired by my single, GO, because after writing it, I realize much of my attachment was woven within it. Baby will you come back home, I’m dying. Let’s chat about attachment and the effect it has on our energetic bandwidth. There is a level of romanticism around being so in love with someone that you will hold on through thick or thin, no matter what. It’s a beautiful Hollywood narrative, however it creates unrealistic expectations for what we are supposed to do when we are in love with someone. To be honest with you, I used to think holding on no matter what was the healthy thing to do in a relationship. Now, I’ve learned that holding on to something that once was, prevented me from receiving what I was trying to call into my life. My attachment was taking up my energetic bandwidth and there was no space left for what I actually wanted. In this Musing of The Deep Dive with me, Adam Roa, I explain why being attached to what was, instead of what is, takes up our energetic bandwidth and what we can actively do to ensure we are creating space for new people and opportunities to enter into our life. Because, if we have the desire for something new to enter, we must create the space for it. What you’ll learn: * How your energetic bandwidth works * What is stealing your energy and taking up your energetic bandwidth? * The effect attachment has on what is/isn’t entering into your life * Why you need to create space before you can have more * How to empty your energetic bandwidth and create more space * How you are preventing yourself from experiencing new opportunities

We idolize the idea of being fearless. There is this idea that fear is bad and we should do everything we can to avoid it. But the funny thing is, it’s unavoidable because fear is the other side of the coin to love. It’s always there – it’s apart of us. Fear is the virus and it’s already inside us, but it lies dormant as long as we keep letting love guide us. And in each moment, we have the option to live from fear or to live from love. In this episode of the Deep Dive with me, Adam Roa, I unpack a line of poetry on fear, share my thoughts on living out of fear, and give you an actionable practice for overcoming your fear and leading your life from love. You’ll leave this episode feeling empowered to navigate through your fear to keep letting love guide you. What You’ll Learn: * Why fear is always present * How to let love, not fear, guide you * A simple practice for overcoming your fear

Why are we so afraid to have different views and opinions than each other? And why do we feel like we need to attack one another for our different perspectives? We are all so different, so of course, we are going to view the world differently. With that in mind, why can’t we just have some real conversations to discuss and understand these differences without the need to attack another or defend ourselves? And to dive deeper, how do we hold space for everyone’s beliefs, opinions, viewpoints, and prospectives, and not just our own? How do we fully express ourselves in the world and while simultaneously being aware of how it will make others feel? And where is the line between owning our truth and censoring ourselves for the sake of others? In this of the Deep Dive with me, Adam Roa, guest Henry Ammar and I dive deep into answering these questions. After listening, I have full faith you will have a better understanding of how to listen and engage with opposing views in a constructive way. Henry is an International Life Speaker, musician, and Entrepreneur who hosts the podcast, “Making It Happen with Henry Ammar.” The podcast hit #1 in the Training Category and #6 in the Education Category on the Apple Podcast Charts. Is it okay for me to go up to a woman I find attractive and tell her she is beautiful? The funny thing is, if she finds me attractive, it’s flattering, but if she doesn’t, it’s sexual harassment. And why in movies is it romantic when a guy continues to chase after the girl because he believes they are “meant” to be together, but in real life, women think it’s “creepy”? And why are there all these misconceptions when it comes to the masculine heart, like it is unsafe to be the object of a man’s sexual desire, a man’s sexual desire causes pain, men don’t cry and don’t have feeling, and men aren’t capable of love? Men are confused. And to be honest, I have been confused! What should we do? In this episode of the Deep Dive with me, Adam Roa, I dive into the topic of the masculine heart–our sexuality and sensitivity. Let’s break down the misconceptions around the masculine heart, understand the masculine perspective on love, and learn to differentiate between honest and harmful intentions. Are you carrying the wounds of your parents? As children, many of our parents dumped their wounds, baggage, fears, and insecurities onto us, and many of us believe we need to continue to carry this baggage for the rest of our lives. It has turned into an outlined curriculum or pattern that we continue to follow, yet we place blame, hold grudges, and never take responsibility. Their baggage may have been passed onto us, but is our responsibility to work through it and turn it into our greatest gifts. But in order to do so, we need to first understand the baggage we are carrying, look at it through the eyes of compassion, and release the blame we are holding onto. So how do we end this loop of ancestral karmic wounding and finally take ownership of how our lives unfold? We need to find enough compassion within ourselves to forgive our parents. And in this episode of the Deep Dive, I chat with singer/songwriter Julie Price on her experience working through the wounds she carried from her parents, how she was able to understand the "why" hidden within the wounds, and how she set herself free through forgiveness. Julia is a Good Morning America featured songwriter who was featured in the NY Times as a “booming creative.” She built a personal online presence and community with over 470,000 followers across multiple platforms, including Vine. With a unique skill-set that expands beyond music, she also tours as an international speaker, hosts corporate heart-centered workshops, and consults high-level executives with an emphasis on female-founders, while also specializing in community building, managing campaigns, producing events and panels for start-ups to Fortune 500 Companies. Julia continues to create content for her own brand as well, as a published writer, influencer, and songwriter. Her purpose is to help others find and stand in their authentic voice in every situation they encounter. What we discuss: [00:07:08] Julia's unhealthy past romantic relationship dynamics [00:08:18] How Julia’s unhealthy relationships stemmed from her father [00:09:37] How Julia began her healing process [00:11:32] How do you forgive someone who never apologized? [00:13:51] The impact of having been taught to shut down emotions [00:15:52] What is the alternative to forgiveness? [00:17:29] Different forgiveness dynamics: Romantic vs. Parental [00:18:03] Julia's process of forgiving her father [00:20:18] How psychedelics helped Julia enter into a place of compassion [00:21:23] Honoring boundaries in every relationship [00:22:31] Do we ever fully heal or will we always carry our wounds? [00:23:50] Ending the loop and becoming medicine for our parents though forgiveness [00:26:36] How our wounds determine how we move through life [00:29:26] Julia’s healing patterns through awareness, effort and attention [00:32:33] Holding on to blame vs. taking responsibility [00:33:30] The shift that happens when you take responsibility [00:34:34] How accepting Julia's father created true change in their relationship [00:38:50] Adam's process of forgiving his abuser in his Ayahuasca ceremony [00:42:42] Why you need to understand to forgive [00:45:11] Using your 'negative' emotions as a tool [00:48:33] The reason Adam openly shares his story [00:55:36] The importance of listening to opposing views [00:58:02] Julia’s best advice for songwriting Find more from Julia: Instagram: @juliapricemusic Website: www.juliapricemusic.com Join my Write From Your Heart 4-Week workshop co-hosted with Lindsey Ell! Do you believe everything happens for a reason? Or do you believe everything happens because of the choices you’ve made? I bring this thought up in my latest single, Voices, where I say, “Am I choosing this or is this simply destiny?” What do you believe? To me, destiny implies that no matter what, you are destined to arrive at a certain point in reality–that you have no control over what happens. But, who determines what's meant to be? And what does that even mean? In this episode of the Deep Dive with me, Adam Roa, I discuss why I believe we need to get rid of the idea of destiny, fate, and “meant to be”, and instead take ownership of our reality. Ultimately, if you don’t believe you create your own reality, then there are aspects of yourself that will never be able to change. And if you do take ownership of your reality, every possibility opens up to you. You can shift anything. So, which do you choose? P.S. Be sure to check out the CREATE community here.

And in this episode of the Deep Dive with me, Adam Roa, I chat with the unbelievable Nicole Gibson on how we can come to the realization and fully embrace the idea that what we see in others is what we also see in ourselves. Do you believe forgiveness is weak or an act of strength? This is a question I battled when I learned the person I loved most betrayed me. I kept asking myself over and over again, “Do I forgive? And if I do, is that weak, or is that devotion?” The conclusion I came to is that forgiveness is devotion–devotion for myself. We need to learn to forgive because the pain, jealousy, and resentment we are carrying aren’t affecting the person who hurt us–the only person it’s affecting is ourselves. I know arriving at a place of forgiveness isn’t easy and that’s why in this episode of The Deep Dive Podcast with me, Adam Roa, I share three essential steps that will lead you to forgiveness. What You’ll Learn: * Why you need to forgive * Why it’s important to feel your emotions * How to see the situation through a new perspective * How to understand and relate to the person who hurt you * The next step after you arrive at a place of forgiveness

There is no right or wrong when it comes to love, but there is always a more loving choice for us to make. The issue is, how do we know what the most loving choice is? Should we forgive? Should we say no? Should we stand up for our boundaries? The loving choice isn’t always clear, especially when you have been deeply hurt, and it definitely isn’t always easy to make, so let’s talk about it. In this episode of the Deep Dive podcast with me, Adam Roa, I challenge you to change your perspective on your relationships by asking you this question: How can you show up as love, no matter how others have treated you? I personally desire to live with my heart open, and I know you do, too. So let’s make the loving choice. What you’ll learn: * Love is unconditional, yet relationships are full of conditions * How to search for love in all actions and circumstances * Why it’s important to actively make the loving choice, no matter how hurt you feel * When making the loving choice, you are doing it for you, not for them

The Deep Dive Podcast with me, Adam Roa, is back and I couldn’t be more excited to re-join you on your consciousness journey. With this season, I am more motivated than ever to bring you content that grows your awareness, expands your consciousness, and challenges you to become the person you desire to be. And that’s why in this episode I challenge you to become aware of the things you’re reading, watching, and listening to. We are living in a society where it’s easier to numb than to feel. So the ultimate question I want to ask you is: Is the art and media you are exposing yourself to daily expanding your mind or numbing your feelings? Are you using it to grow or is a distraction from your growth? Think about the movies and TV shows you watch and ask yourself, what are they really saying, and how are they evolving you? And what about the music you listen to? In what ways are you growing from what you're receiving? Art can be entertaining, fun, dope, and sexy, but it can also be expansive and a part of your personal development. So tune in to this episode now to expose yourself to art that is empowering you, not numbing you. What You’ll Learn: * How society is built to numb us * How hiding from discomfort is at the root of our unhappiness and unhealthiness * How most of society is using art and media today * How to use art and media as a permission slip to feel * How to use art and media to expand your consciousness and growth

Are you tired of the mask you are wearing? No not the one that we have been putting on recently. The mask I am talking about is one that hides your anxiety, depression, sadness, heartbreak and the truth of what is going on beneath the mask you wear. I’m talking about the mask that won’t allow you to create authentic connection. My motivational spoken word poetry, in this video, was created so you know it is okay to finally take off that mask. It is the work we talk about in personal development on how to overcome depression, beat the anxiety, and create authentic connection so we can live the life we truly want to live. This is why you may be feeling stuck, but it’s just one phrase way to start your journey; I’m not okay. That’s all it takes, let people know how you are feeling with the relationships that mean the most. Let this piece of poetry inspire you to your authentic self and adjust your frequency. Let this inspirational spoken word poem inform you that you are enough. Choose love, choose yourself.
