This lesson concludes our study of Al Aqeedah at Tahaawiyah
We do not believe in the diviners or fortune tellers Or anyone who claims anything contrary to the Quran, Sunnah and the consensus of the ummah. We consider unity (Jama’ah) right and correct and we consider division deviation and punishment. Allah’s religion is one in the heavens and on earth. It is the religion of Islam Allah the most high Says; “Indeed the religion in the sight of Allah is Islam”. Allah also says; And I have approved for you Islam as a religion It is a middle course between excess and negligence; Between tasbih (likening Allah’s attributes to the creation) and ta’til (divesting Allah of his attributes) Between Fatalism (jabr) and the denial of Qadar And between the loss of fear (of Allah’s punishment) and loss of hope (of Allah’s mercy) This is our religion and belief, outwardly and inwardly. We dissociate ourselves from anyone who opposes what we have said and explained here We ask Allah to make us steadfast upon the faith and to allow us to die upon it And to keep us away from the many inclinations and diverse opinions. As well as the evil doctrines; Such as those of the Mushabbihah The Mu’tazilah The Jahmiyyah, and the Jabariyyah The Qadariyyah And others who have gone against the sunnah and the Jama’ah (united community), and allied themselves with error. We dissociate ourselves from them, and to us, they are astray and evil. And Allah is our saviour and helper.
taught by Abu Muadh Taqweem
A few points regarding the hereafter are covered in this lesson;
Whoever speaks well of the companions of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and his wives, pure of any defilement, and his sanctified progeny, he is innocent of any hypocrisy The scholars of the first generation who preceded us and those after them among the successors, the people of virtue, tradition, understanding, and insight, they are not mentioned except in a gracious way. Whoever mentions them in an evil way, he is on a path different from their path We do not prefer any of the saints of this nation over any of the prophets, upon them be peace. We say that a single prophet is better than all the saints put together We have faith in what has come of their miracles and what has been authenticated in their narrations from trustworthy narrators We have faith in the signs of the Hour, such as the appearance of the False Messiah (al-Dajjāl), and the descent from the heavens of Jesus the son of Mary, upon him be peace. We have faith in the rising of the sun from the west and in the emergence of the Beast from its place in the earth
taught by Abu Muadh Taqweem
A few points regarding the hereafter are covered in this lesson;
Who exactly are the companions? We confirm that the first rightful Kalifah (caliph or successor) of the Messenger of Allah (ṣallā llāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) was Abu Bakr because of his superiority to the entire Ummah; then, Umar Ibn Al-Khattab; Then Uthman; then Ali ibn Abu Talib. These are the Kulafa al-Rashidun (the rightly guided caliph) and the rightly guided imams We believe the ten the Messenger of Allah (ṣallā llāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) named and promised paradise will be in paradise, according time to the testimony of the messenger of Allah who spoke the truth. They are: Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, Ali, Talha, Al Zubayr, Sa’d, Sai’d, Abdul-Rahman ibn Awf And Abu Ubaydah ib al-jarrah, the trustee of this ummah. May Allah be pleased with them all
taught by Abu Muadh Taqweem
A few points regarding the hereafter are covered in this lesson;
When living make dua and give charity for deceased, this benefits for them Allah answers the dua of the people who call upon him Dua is one of the strongest means to bring goodness and remove evil from you. A person who doesn’t make dua to Allah, then this angers Allah All things are under his dominion, and he is under the dominion of none Nothing is independent of Allah, even for the blink of an eye He who thinks himself independent of Allah for the blink of an eye has disbelieved and has become one of those who will be destroyed Allah is pleased with companions of the prophet We love the companions of the messenger of Allah But we do not exceed the limits in our love for any one of them Or says anything other than good about them. We only speak well of them Loving them is conviction, Faith, and kindness, and hating them is disbelief, hypocrisy, and transgression
taught by Abu Muadh Taqweem
A few points regarding the hereafter are covered in this lesson;
Whoever he wills goes to paradise out of his grave and whoever he wills goes to hell out of his Justice Each person acts for whatever has been decided for him and will go to the place for which he was created Good and bad have been decreed for all Action is only obligatory after ability. The ability that is associated with Allah’s decree and that cannot be ascribed to man exists concurrently with action. But the ability associated with health, physical competence, capability, and wellness exists prior to action. The obligation to fulfil the command is related to the latter ability, as Allah says: “Allah does not charge a soul except (with that within) it’s capacity.” 2:286. Man’s actions are the creations of Allah and the works of man Allah does not obligate them to do except that rich they are able And they are only able to do what he obligated them to do This is what it means to say “La Hawla wa-la quwatta illa Bi-llah” (There is neither change nor strength but from Allah). We say, there is no ploy or movement for anyone, and no one can turn from Allah’s disobedience, without Allah’s help; and there is no strength for anyone to obey Allah and be steadfast upon doing so without Allah’s grace Everything happens according to Allah’s will, knowledge, decree and predestination His wills prevail over the will of all others And his decree prevails over the ploy of all others He does what he wishes, but he is never unjust. He is pure from every evil and free from every flaw “He is not questioned about what he does, but they will be questioned” (21:23) As for the dead, they will benefit from the prayers and Sadaqah (Charity) of the living
taught by Abu Muadh Taqweem
A few points regarding the hereafter are covered in this lesson;
We believe in the angel of death, who is appointed to take the souls of the people What exactly is the soul? The punishment of the grave, is for both the body and soul In the questions posed by Munkar and Nakir in the grave about their lord, their religion and their prophet, according to the accounts related from the messenger of Allah (ṣallā llāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) and the companions The grave is either one of the gardens of paradise or one of the pits of hell We believe in the Resurrection and judgement on the day of Judgement. We believe in the Ardh (When men are presented before their lord) the Hisab (when their deeds are tallied) and the book being read. We believe in the reward and punishment, the Sirat (path) and the Mizan (Balance) Paradise and Hellfire are both creations that shall never perish nor die out And we believe that Allah created Paradise and Hellfire before creating mankind, and he created people for them
taught by Abu Muadh Taqweem
Some beneficial points covered in the lesson
We love the people of justice and trustworthiness, for love of the people of justice is among the perfection of faith. We hate the people of injustice and treachery Wiping over leather socks during travel or residency We say, ‘Allah knows best,’ regarding matters the knowledge of which is unclear to us We accept wiping over leather socks in ablution, for the traveller and the resident, as has come in the narrations We have faith in the noble recording angels, for Allah has appointed them over us as guardians
taught by Abu Muadh Taqweem
Very important points covered in this lesson
Those who commit major sins among the nation of Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, may be in Hellfire but will not reside there forever, if they die while they are monotheists, even if they have not repented. After they meet Allah knowing faith, they are subject to His will and His judgment. If He wills, He will forgive them and pardon them by His grace, as mentioned by the Almighty in His book, ‘He forgives whatever is less than idolatry for whomever He wills, (4:116) If He wills, He will punish them in Hellfire by His justice. Thereafter, He will bring them out of Hellfire by His mercy and the intercession of intercessors among those obedient to Him, then raise them to Paradise. This is because Allah the Exalted is the ally of those who recognize Him and He will not deal with them in the two abodes as if they were the people who rejected Him, who failed to follow His guidance and did not earn His guardianship. O Allah, Guardian of Islam and its people, keep us firmly upon Islam until we meet You. We perform prayer behind every Imam who prays towards Mecca, whether righteous or wicked, as well as the funeral prayer over those who have died. We do not declare any of them to be in Paradise or Hellfire. We do not accuse them of unbelief, nor idolatry. The people who pray towards Mecca are not excommunicated, nor accused of hypocrisy, as long as they have not openly demonstrated anything of that. We leave their inner-secrets to Allah the Exalted. We do not raise the sword against anyone from the nation of Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, except against those whom it is necessary to fight (such as violent rebels). We do not rebel against our leaders or those in charge of our affairs, even if they are tyrannical. We do not supplicate against them, nor withdraw from obedience to them. We view obedience to them as obedience to Allah Almighty, an obligation, as long as they do not order disobedience to Allah. We supplicate on their behalf for righteousness and wellness. We follow the Sunnah and the majority community, committed to the Sunnah and the majority community. We avoid strange opinions, differences, and sectarianism.
taught by Abu Muadh Taqweem
A few points are discussed in this lesson
All of what is authentic from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, of the Law and clear teachings are true
Faith is one and its people are equal by default. The virtue of some over others is due to the fear of Allah, righteousness, opposing lowly desires, and adherence to the most important matters
All believers are allies of the Most Merciful and the noblest of them to Allah are those who are most obedient and who best adhere to the Quran
Faith consists of belief in Allah, His angels, His books, His messengers, the Last Day, and providence, its good and its evil. The pleasant and unpleasant are both from Allah the Exalted
We have faith in all of that. We make no distinction between any of His messengers. We accept all of them as true in what they brought
taught by Abu Muadh Taqweem
A few points on emaan are covered
All the authentic legislations and teachings of the messenger of Allah are the truth Proofs that emaan increases and decreases The one who’s truly fear Allah are the ones who have knowledge as they understand who Allah is and the punishment etc.
taught by Abu Muadh Taqweem
A few points covered in this lesson
We hope that Allah will pardon the good-doers among the believers and admit them into Paradise by His mercy. We cannot guarantee it for them and we cannot testify that they will be in Paradise. We seek forgiveness for the sinful, we fear for them, yet we do not despair over them Guarantee or despair (of entering Paradise) both remove one from the religion of Islam. The way of truth is between them both regarding the people who pray towards Mecca No servant is expelled from the faith except by disavowing what made him enter into it
taught by Abu Muadh Taqweem Aslam
A few points covered in this lesson
We name the people who pray towards Mecca (ahl al-qiblah) as ‘Muslims’ and ‘believers’ as long as they remain upon what was brought by the Prophet (ṣallā llāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) recognising and confirming as true everything he said and reported We do not speak vainly about Allah, nor do we argue about the religion of Allah We do not excommunicate anyone who prays toward Mecca due to a sin, as long as he does not claim it to be lawful, nor do we say sins do not harm the faith of those who commit them
taught by Abu Muadh Taqweem Aslam
A few points covered in this lesson
He encompasses all things and is above them and Yet his creatures are unable to Encompass him We say with faith, belief, and acceptance, that Allah took Ibrahim as his khalil (beloved) and spoke directly to Musa. We believe in the angels, prophets and the books revealed to the messengers; and we testify that they were upon the clear truth
taught by Abu Muadh Taqweem Aslam
4 points are covered in the lesson
The Arsh (throne) and the Kursi (footstool) are true He is not in need of the throne or which is beneath it He encompasses all things ask is above them Yet his creatures are unable to encompass him
taught by Abu Muadh Taqweem Aslam
Several points are covered in the lesson including
There is nothing that He has created in either the heavens or the earth that can contradict it, or add to it, or erase it, or change it, or decrease it, or increase it in any way. This is a fundamental aspect of belief and a necessary element of all knowledge and recognition of Allah's oneness and Lordship. As Allah says in His Book: "He created everything and decreed it in a detailed way." (al-Furqan 25: 2) And He also says: "Allah's command is always a decided decree." (al-Ahzab 33: 38) So woe to anyone who argues with Allah concerning the decree and who, with a sick heart, starts delving into this matter. In his deluded attempt to investigate the Unseen, he is seeking a secret that can never be uncovered, and he ends up an evil-doer, telling nothing but lies.
taught by Abu Muadh Taqweem Aslam
Several points are covered in the lesson including
A summary of what is needed by one whose heart has been given light, one who is among awliya (allies) of Allah, the most high
Faith is only affirmed by accepting the knowledge that Allah has taught us and not seeking the knowledge that he kept hidden from us
We believe in the preserved tablet and the pen and all that was written on it
If entire creation got together to prevent something occurring that Allah the most high has written to occur they would not be able to do so and vice versa
The pen has dried having written down all that will take place until the day of Judgement. What someone did not receive was not meant for him, and what has come to him would never have passed him by
Allah’s slaves must know that he already knows everything will happen in his creation

Everyone is eased towards what he was created for and it is the action with which a man's life is sealed which dictates his fate. The only will that people have is what He wills for them. What He wills for them occurs and what He does not will, does not occur He gives guidance to whomever He wills, and protects them, and keeps them safe from harm, out of His generosity; and He leads astray whomever He wills, and abases them, and afflicts them, out of His justice All of them are subject to His will either through His generosity or His justice

A few points covered in this lesson
He causes death with no fear and restores to life without difficulty He has always existed together with His attributes since before creation. Bringing creation into existence did not add anything to His attributes that was not already there. As He was, together with His attributes, in pre-eternity, so He will remain throughout endless time It was not only after the act of creation that He could be described as "the Creator" nor was it only by the act of origination that He could he described as "the Originator." He was always the Lord even when there was nothing to be Lord of, and always the Creator even when there was no creation In the same way that He is the "Bringer to life of the dead," after He has brought them to life a first time, and deserves this name before bringing them to life, so too He deserves the name of "Creator" before He has created them This is because He has the power to do everything, everything is dependent on Him, everything is easy for Him, and He does not need anything. "There is nothing like Him and He is the Hearer, the Seer." (al-Shura 42:11) He created creation with His knowledge He appointed destinies for those He created

Lum'at ul Itiqad - Part 8
From the explanation of Shaikh Shaikh Zaid al Madkhaly read/taught by our brother Abu Muadh Taqweem
Why do we stick to the understanding of the as-salaf as-salih? Everyone has their opinions on the deen but the correct opinion is what the early Muslims were upon. They learnt it from the best source, Muhammad صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم. This is the correct understanding of Islam, as they witnessed the revelation. We follow this path not the path of others. Even if others beautify their statements with their eloquent or beautiful speech.
Don't follow the social norms, stick the correct and true understanding even if the people reject you. You know you are upon that which is pleasing to Allah. Eventually people will be pleased with you, they will accept from you because they know you are sincere to your lord.
Bidah is something that a person makes up himself, that was never in the revelation from Allah, never taught by Muhammad صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم in the first instance. It is something that a person makes up himself, claiming its from Islam.
