It's the end of an era, the final Dayton Disneyana. Carrie and Fran are sharing their experience at the event. They share what they bought, who they saw and how much FUN they had. Carrie and Fran are sharing part 2 of their trip to Walt Disney World! On this episode they are recording "on location" from their kitchen at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa. They talk about the arts and crafts they did, the parks they visited and BINGO! They did some different things on this trip and they're sharing what is worth doing on your next trip!
On their recent trip to Walt Disney World, Carrie and Francine started knocking some things off of their 2026 Bingo card. First up was staying club level, so they splurged for a night at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge.
In order to fully capture the experience, the ladies decided to try something new and recorded this episode "on location". With some fancy new microphones they recorded their thoughts about the lounge from the lounge itself.

Carrie and Fran had a lot of adventures inside one month! First the pair were off to the EarMarked conference in Disneyland. At the conclusion of the conference, Carrie headed off to explore Palm Springs! When she returned, it was time for Fran to head off to Florida for a sailing on Disney Cruise Line's newest ship - the Disney Destiny and then a few days in the parks. It was a busy month!

Carrie and Fran have been to Walt Disney World hundreds of times between them, but they haven't done it all! After a listener suggested a "never have I ever" episode they knew they had to do it. It's a bit crazy to hear what they haven't done on all their trips and if there are any they are going to cross off the list before the end of 2022.

The return to Walt Disney World was epic - but there was more to the vacation! The last week of vacation Francine sailed with Disney Cruise Line to the private island of Castaway Cay. He held a variety of roles from the Hercules Victory Parade, Fantasmic, the Americal Idol Experience and the Hoop Dee Doo Revue - and a whole bunch more. You may recognize Cam from his role as movie star Stone Granite during the live street performances as a Citizen of Hollywood at Disney's Hollywood Studios.
While Cam was unfortunately one of the 32,000 cast members who lost their jobs in 2020, he has not lost his desire to make magic! He is sharing with Carrie and Francine what he is focused on for the future and how he is still captivating audiences.

The Walt Disney Company did not disappoint fans during it's Investor Day presentation for 2020. On podcast episode 70 Carrie and Francine explore the Disney Renaissance era, did you know this was a thing? This 10 year period between 1989 and 1999 brought about a whole new generation of Disney fans who were first introduced via movies like The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin and The Lion King.
According to Wikipedia "The Disney Renaissance is the period from 1989 to 1999 during which Walt Disney Feature Animation returned to producing critically and commercially successful animated films that were mostly based on well-known stories, much as the studio did during the era of Walt Disney during the 1930s to 1960s."
While Carrie and Fran explore what it was like growing up during that time, guests Ashley and Cheryl share the life lessons they learned from the movies. It's a fun conversation about how they became Disney fans and how each generation views it differently.

With everything going on, it's exciting to see that Disney Springs has a phased reopening plan. Soon guests will be able to visit Disney Springs (even though it's limited), but it's a start!

A creative way to feel like you're in Walt Disney World - playing virtual hide and seek! It's a fun conversation as we try to find each other in the World. It's harder than you would imagine to ask Yes/No questions to narrow it down.
And for the record - this may have been the most challenging podcast to edit! At the 9:50 minute mark Carrie makes reference to how I'd have to edit and how hard it will be...and she was right.
