They took an original idea for a cocktail farm where they grow a variety of commodities for use in their unique cocktail syrups. Cristina Rodriguez and Ellen Saline talk with Farm Bureau as they seek to answer more questions about this upcoming ag overtime rule and how farmers can expect it to impact them. Also, they share some helpful resources as to how best to navigate this issue in the months ahead.

The process in which this rule is being handled is very frustrating and could have negative repercussions that lead to much more regulation for agriculture operations.

We hear from our three WFB Officers about the recent AFBF Annual Convention, their goals for this upcoming year, and the efforts being made to reach out to members and connect with each county Farm Bureau.

We then discuss bills that are being considered that address things such as: net ecological gain, paid family leave. We also talk about this week’s SB 5172 and are encouraging Farm Bureau members to sign in to support this bill that would prohibit employers from being obliged to pay three years worth of retroactive overtime costs.
Bre Elsey talks with us again about the latest developments on the Ag Overtime ruling that came out last November, WFB’s Motion for Reconsideration, and the legislation that is seeking to address this. It is a very informative and insightful discussion that may answer some new questions on this issue.
