This is a gathering place for men to discuss the topics of the day and help each other become better men. Hosted by Ryan Mortimer. A lover of mens health, fitness, fashion, and all things men. This will be a weekly episode.
In this episode of Manners Maketh Man, host Ryan takes on a crucial but often overlooked topic—Masculinity and Mental Health. For far too long, men have been conditioned to stay silent about their emotional struggles, but the truth is, mental health affects us all.
Join me as I explore the stigma surrounding men and mental health, the cost of staying silent, and how we can redefine strength by embracing vulnerability and seeking help when we need it. With practical advice on how to take care of your mental well-being and support the men in your life, this episode is a powerful reminder that acknowledging mental health is not a weakness—it’s a strength.
If you’re ready to break the silence and start talking about mental health, this conversation is for you.

In this episode of Manners Maketh Man, we’re exploring one of the most undervalued yet powerful aspects of modern masculinity—emotional intelligence. As men, we’re often taught to suppress our feelings, but true strength lies in understanding, managing, and using our emotions wisely.
Join me as we dive into the five key components of emotional intelligence—self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy, and social skills—and why they’re essential for men navigating today’s world. We’ll challenge the outdated stereotypes that emotional intelligence makes you weak and instead reveal how mastering it can make you a stronger partner, leader, and man.
Whether you want to build deeper relationships, stay calm under pressure, or lead with empathy, this episode is packed with practical tips and insights that will help you unlock a more thoughtful, emotionally intelligent version of yourself.
In this episode of Manners Maketh Man, we take a deep dive into what it truly means to be a gentleman in today’s world. We explore “The Gentleman’s Code,” where honor, integrity, and kindness are not just ideals but guiding principles. We discuss how these values shape modern masculinity and why they’re more relevant than ever.
But it’s not just about how we treat others—it’s also about being kind to ourselves. We talk about the importance of self-respect and self-compassion as crucial elements of the code. Join us as we reflect on how these timeless virtues can help us navigate life with dignity and purpose, proving that true masculinity is defined not by strength alone, but by the strength of character.
In today’s episode of Manners Maketh Man, we’re having a real conversation about how masculinity has changed over the years. We start by looking at what many of us grew up with—the idea that being a man means being strong, stoic, and the provider. But times are changing, and so is what it means to be masculine. Now, qualities like emotional intelligence, vulnerability, and adaptability are becoming just as important. We’re breaking down these shifts and exploring what they mean for all of us today. It’s about understanding where we’ve come from and where we’re headed.
