March's Episode!! I recently took a break from all socials for a month and instagram is currently the only one I've come back to! I did this as a little self social experiment just to see if I could undo any self toxic habitual patterns I was doing! And I wanted to document what I noticed and how my relationship will be with socials moving forward as I honestly never thought i'd ever be off it lol xx

Welcome to Febuary's episode of The Kween's Speech Pod! I am SO excited to be joined by indie duo 'Collars' chatting all things making music! I wanted to delve into their process and the journey they've been on to get to the point where they can release music AND how and if their creativity has been affected by the pandemic! Their debut single 'Heart Beats' is avlaiable to stream now on Spotify, Youtube and more. This episode features a preview of their next single 'Hey Lizzie, Lay it on me' and to top it all off they have an EP coming out later this year. The first episode of 2021!! And the first of potentially many 'The Actor's Chat' where i'm joined by fellow creative friends and we discuss and compare our journeys that led us to the same point. Myself and Lucy train together at drama school but have both been on seperate paths to get there so why not have an open discussion! Lucy recently starred in the short 'Lost Bond' as a part of the Lost Bond Project and before drama school she wrote and starred in her own short called '1NS' which now doing the film festival circuit. A final episode of this year, I think it's fair to say we are all happy to see the back of 2020. Rather than focusing on what I did manage to achieve in this weird year and set goals for 2021 etc, I spent this episode reflecting on what I learnt this year. What we can take forward to 2021 and what we can leave behind this year. It's been such a hard year for everyone and big THANKU to the health care staff and key workers of this country that have had to carry on no matter what. Including my bestie Lara (a friend to the pod) who worked directly on the covid frontline ily. Follow @kweenspeechpod as we have some big changes and exciting new content next year, stay tuned and happy new year x
Such a surreal thing to be a topic on my podcast, but I wanted to follow on from my 'Making a Movie' episode where I chatted with the creators of the feature film 'Charlotte' as that has now been shot and I was a character in it! I wanted to share my experience of booking this job during my gap year without an agent or at this point, any formal training backing me, for anyone else who might be in my position! I also chat about how different it was to do screen acting for the first time and the process of shooting the film ! This was a dream come true to be a part of and i'm forver grateful, follow @thecharlottemovie on insta, @Charlotte_movie on twitter and @kweenspeechpod on insta for updates!
A little while ago, I sat down with Alice Muhley CEO and Founder of a new business called Face of Waste, which is a hub of all cruelty free and vegan cosmetics from some amazing sustainable brands avalabile to buy at the click of a button from one place, Face of Waste. All of the products come in sustainable pacakaging too which was actually the basis for this company, it started as a packaging idea and along with help from The Prince's Trust, Alice created Face of Waste. We also discuss personal struggles Alice had to face whilst starting her own business along with the pressures and scrutiny of trying to put it out there on social media and the pandemic delaying everything! Follow Alice on Instagram @littlemisspintsized and follow @faceofwaste for more updates! Glam without the guilt.
That's right guys, Lara is back!! It's been a hot minute since i've uploaded! Wanted to come back with a bang, so this week is myself and Lara being manic in a theme park, one of our fav things to do!! Myself and Lara have been friends for 10 years next year and everytime we are together it's just the best, so we hope you enjoy our chaotic behaviour! Follow Lara on insta @laraxjeffery and her makeup account for all her LEWKS @lxjmakeup and myself @alex_harrissx @kweenspeechpod for further updates on future episodes x
SERIES FINALE! What a special way to end Season 3 by having my own mum as my final guest!! My mum is one of the most amazing people in my life and has overcome so much, with her own personal battles with anxiety and depression. She had a complete job change and lifestyle change really and now runs her own business upcycling furniture in her own shop! Her story is very inspiring and she is proof that mental health issues can affect anyone BUT everything happens for a reason and lot's of amazing things can come from something negative! Follow her instagram @shellebellauk and her facebook page 'ShelleBella' to see all her amazing work!
This week is all about the drama school auditioning process! And the journey i've been on leading up to being offered a place on a course! I'm joined by my friend Izzy 'Izzy Alexander' on Youtube, as we share some of our tips and tricks on how to keep sane during this daunting but amazing process! We also share some of our auditioning experiences, just bare in mind they aren't the same for everyone! I hope this helps some people or may be of interest also x
Picking a route in life or a career path is never straight forward and it doesn't have to be either. I've talked about doing what's best for you on the podcast before and I get asked about career paths and ways into industry's and post school life a lot! So this week i'm joined by my friend William who is in a completely different industry to me to discuss the differences between them and the various ways to get in them. Society, schools and people in general can put pressure on us to follow 'normal' and conventional ways of education and careers but sometimes taking a step back or doing something that suits you, is the best thing you can do! So that's what we explore this week on TKS! Follow Will on insta @wxllxammcc
I wanted to do a follow up episode to my second ever podcast episode where I talked about the gap year I was about to embark on! Something I never thought i'd do and not exactly the year I had planned due to these unprecedented times. However I wanted to talk about what I actually did end up doing, what I learnt and how I worked on my mental health and have tried to better myself as a person. This gap year was like a self social experiment to see what can happen to one person in the space of a year.
Pride Special!!!!!! Join me as I discuss my thoughts about Pride, why we have it, the people that came before us and the people we have sadly lost that should be celebrating with us today. Even though we can't physically celebrate Pride this year like we usually do, I still wanted to communicate and celebrate with lot's of different people! So I got as many Kween's Speech guests as possible to share what Pride means to them! My guests have consisted of community members and allies so what a great way to summarise Pride on my podcast than to hear from the voices of The Kween's Speech Podcast! https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2018/obituaries/overlooked-marsha-p-johnson.html A very insightful article about the correlations between Black Lives Matter and LGBTQIA+ rights movements!
This week's episode is a super special and slightly surreal one!! I'll be interviewing the two creators and star of indie psychological thriller 'Charlotte' which i've been cast in as the character Ryan!! To think I started off this podcast as a way to keep productive but also put myself out there, and now i'm speaking to the two people that cast me in their film on it! It feels very full circle and i'm so so glad they agreed to join me on The Kween's Speech! Follow them on instagram & facebook @thecharlottemovie and on twitter @Charlotte_movie for all updates!!
After the recent events of the brutal murder of George Floyd, I really wanted to discuss #blacklivesmatter as i've discussed many social issues on here already. By now there is enough evidence going around of what we should and could be doing to help the movement and if you're a privlidged white person, how to be an ally. So I thought the most long lasting and powerful form of education would be for you guys to hear it directly from people of colour and their experiences. Join myself, Nkara, Shyanne, Toara and Thanaa for an open discussion. Listen, learn, share. Be an ally and use your privlidge to know how you can do more, what you need to work on, where you've gone wrong in the past and how you will move forward with what you should now know x
This week's episode is a chatty one, following on from a poll I did on my instagram 'Do many of you feel pressured to stay productive due to what others post on social media?' and I got a lot of responses! So I wanted to sit down and share my thoughts in regards to this as i'm sure it's something a lot of people think about. Social media makes it so accessible to contantly see what everyone is doing, that at times we are bound to compare ourselves and put ourselves down. Join me for the discussion and thankyou for your support x
The Kween's Speech 12th guest!! This week i'm joined by Rosie Fisher as we delve into the topic of Astrology which is a new found love of mine (encouraged by her) and something I want to know more about. Rosie is literally an astrology expert, so join me as I look into my birth chart and daily guidance on the app 'Co-star' and learn lot's of things from Rosie, all whilst having a manic time! Full disclosure, me and Rosie are very annoying together, so sorry x
I like to believe everything happens for a reason, we learn a lot from most situations. But ocassionally life throws curve balls where it's hard to see why and what for. This week i'm joined by Britney Paige (Britney Hodgkin) discussing her cancer diagnosis at 20 years old during her training in Musical Theatre and how she's managed to stay so positive throughout. We discuss what she has learnt from this challenging time and how she wants to help others. You can find Britney on Youtube 'Britney Paige' and Instagram @britneypaigex to follow her journey x
Hi guys! This weekend it's MY BIRTHDAY!! So i wanted to do an episode reflecting on what i've learnt in my teens (a part two to the teen years episode if you will) and what my goals are moving towards my twenties and also how i'm feeling at this stage of my life. I also got you guys to give me things you wish you could go back and tell your 19/20 year old self if you're in your twenties already. None of us know where we're heading but we just gotta keep doing us. This also features a brief cameo from a TKS veteran AND jannor is back for another jannor thinks! Buckle up, stick the kettle on and enjoy x
That's right the Queen of Mean is back (Disney Descendants reference she's actually a nice girl guys god) myself and Lara are continuing our nostalgia series on the pod by this time rating the High School Musical franchise as last time we discussed our real life HSM with what musicals we did at school, so we thought we'd discuss the real thing this time and why we are the real Sharpay and Ryan! We also answer some questions and topics at the end that were sent to us, so enjoy! Follow lara on instagram @laraxjeffery she's working so hard as a frontline health worker during this pandemic and I couldn't be prouder x
Oh god hey guys! A new episode and another Buzzfeed moment. This time i'm seeing which Sex and the City character I am following on from my obsession after binging all six seasons. I feel like Carrie Bradshaw low key having this podcast as it's my version of a weekly column!? I also just wanted to have a catchup on what this time has taught me as I do feel this podcast is a digital diary of my life! Follow us @kweenspeechpod on instagram for all royal updates!
The Kween's Speech is back!!! Really hoping to be a form of entertainment in this time and I hope everyone is well. This week I am joined by a fellow creative Ben A. Wolfin who is studying at the London Film School to fulfil his dream of becoming a film director. Ben has really interesting views on the world and various topics so i've wanted him on for a while, but join us as we discuss everything about his craft and what draws him to filmmaking. It was honestly really interesting to hear what he had to say as an actor but i'm hoping anyone will find what Ben has to say insightful. Follow him on instagram @werewolf_in and follow @kweenspeechpod and feel free to contact me anytime during this period x
Series 2 finale! The third installment of my podcast will be coming soon, however. I want to stay productive during these times and give you all something to listen to! In this week's episode I just wanted to summarise what is going on and what my situation is with all of this and how I will be personally utilising my time and trying to stay positive! Follow @kweenspeechpod on instagram to be notified of when new episodes are live and so we can stay connected during these times, Alex x
I’ve uploaded this weeks podcast at a time where we are in very different circumstances to when the last episode was recorded/uploaded so it’s just a short one this week and I’m hoping it can be a form of comic relief for anyone that needs it! I’m joined again by my sister @laraxjeffery (on insta!) as we do one of our fav things which is going to a drive thru and being annoying, hopefully our obnoxiousness can make anyone who is in isolation or people that have no choice to keep working, smile⚡️
This week I decided to do something a little different whilst recording the pod and bake a cake at the same time to really be creative and to be honest do something I never do which is bake! Along with sharing some embarssing and you guessed it, OBNOXIOUS stories from my life! Although these are all PG stories as some things are just better left unsaid. Buckle up and enjoy listening to me be Mary Berry/Aimee from Sex ed.
In this week's episode I explore spirituality, discussing my thoughtsd on angels and signs from the universe! I also discuss what some of my dreams have meant as I invested in a dream dictionary! This is something i've wanted to discuss for a while, so if it's something you're into, please listen! Remember to follow @thekweenspeech and @alex_harrissx on instagram to DM me if you have any questions, quereies or topics you want me to discuss on the podcast at some point!
This is part two of spilling the LGB-Tea! This week it features Bo who identifies as Aseuxal and Non Binary. I wanted to chat to Bo as they had a different coming out to me as they had a different sexuality along with cultural differences which made their jouney to being their authentic self different to me, and I thought it would be interesting to discuss that. I think this is a topic that not a lot of people understand particularly from older generations and I wanted to know more myself! Bo is so clear and inspiring in the way they explain things so enjoy!! You can follow Bo on insta @bonoffee_cake
Ello! This week’s episode is LIVE! This week I'm spilling my personal LGB-’Tea’ discussing my coming out story but then my thoughts and views on coming out in general, linking to current affairs! This week’s is just a little bit rambly I won’t lie, so put the kettle on or hop on over to starbies and listen to me running my mouth for a little bit. This is PART 1 and PART 2 will be put out next week where i’ll be joined by BO discussing their coming out story and journey as I think it will be insightful to talk to someone who has had different experiences to me and has a different sexuality to me. Stream now on Spotify and Apple Podcasts and share away!
Myself and Lara discuss doing the musical's at school and how it was literally our real life 'High School Musical'. We do always say we are Sharpay and Ryan. We did 3 shows at school, Little Shop of Horrors, Hairspray and Grease! We had so muxh fun doing them that we thought it would be amazing to reflect and indulge on the NOSTALGIA! Warning, me and Lara get very manic, annoying and obnoxious when we are together. Sorry headphone users!
Myself and my friend Janine a fellow Friends mega fan decided to unleash the basic girls within us and take a buzzfeed quiz to determine which friends character we are. This all came about after the latest instagram trend of the filters that tell you who and what you are from certain franchises or things, so we thought we would do an offical test aswell so we know for sure. Just girly things guys! You can find Janine on instagram @j9kettle but she also has @j9_finds where she posts all of her thrifting goodies!
Welcome back! The start of series 2!! This week to kick off the new season, i'm joined by the girls from @Sustainablesass as we talk all things fashion. From our fav designers, trends and icons to moments that we truly regret in terms of our own past syles. Follow the girls on instagram for all things sustainability including fashion DIY's and upcylcing! Also follow @j9_finds for thrifting moments!!
Surprise! I wanted to upload one more podcast before Christmas and the new year! This week I am joined with Izzy, one of my bestest friends who has had an incredible yet hard year herself. She is one of the bravest and strongest people I know so I can't think of a better person to summarise the year with me! We also get all festive as we get closer to Christmas!! Me and Izzy also share our goals for 2020, I just have a feeling it's going to be a good one x
SERIES FINALE! My first series of The Kween's Speech has come to an end! Thankyou from the bottom of my heart for the support, the shares, the downloads and the streams! In the final episode of series 1 I'm joined with Jannor who I met in London. Jannor needs no introduction so i'll just let you listen but this is the life of a South Korean actor studying in the UK. Life of Jannor. I set no questions, this is unfiltered with one of the craziest but best people I know.
Episode 7! We are almost there with Series 1! I've been really excited for this one and as these guys were one of my topic spoilers, this has been in the pipe line for ages! Cerys Wilson and Sophie Jackson are the founders and runners of @sustainablesass on instagram where they share recipes, DIY's and tips on how to live more sustainbly. This is something i'm trying to do but really want to know more about and hopefully this gives you all an insight as to how we ALL can do little things here and there to keep our planet green!
In this week's episode I am joined by the lovely Betsy @arose.garden on instagram! Who is a digital illustrator and artist who regularly creates artwork for the lovely Fearne Cotton, including the art work for Fearne's own podcast!! Beth has overcome massive hurdles with her mental health and has been on a huge jounrey to get where she is today. Her stories and what she has to say is incredibly insightful and I hope you all agree on that!
I have spoken about my year in London so much and I wanted to reflect on everything that happened and share some stories with you. London literally was my playground and has so much to offer, so there's a lot crammed into this week's episode but sit back, relax and enjoy.
Welcome to episode 4! In this week's episode i'm joined by pet and animal illustrator 'beemaiart'. She runs an etsy store selling her artwork and takes commisions too! I wanted to sit down with her to discuss running her business in the 21st century and how social media in her job role is influencial and important. As much as social media can be a super toxic and bad thing, it can also be amazing and is a platform to many. It's all about how that platform is used. I think bee uses it in an amazing way and you can find her on etsy and facebook under 'beemaiart' and her instagram is @beemaiart
In this week's episode I am joined by one of my best bisexual's Lara Jeffery, as we discuss everything Disney channel and reflect on those chilldhood fav's. We will discuss tv shows, movies and the soundtracks to our favourite Disney channel franchises. I talk about disney channel in every day life and wish I was on it eveyday as I did whilst growing up, so doing an episode on it is very on brand for me. lastly we get into Lara coming out and again like me, the realisation and coming out to herself and Lara's views on coming out in general.
I'm currently on 'a year out' so taking the time to reflect on how I can better myself and live a more fulfilled and positive life is very important to me. In this episode I talk all about this and how I'm attempting to do this! It also gives me an opportunity to explain what I'm up to. I'm not claiming to be super positive and the best kind of person as I'm not, but I can try! Lastly I talk about being a performer, my thoughts on that and where my mind is at for this coming year. Thank you all for the support on this podcast it means a lot, hopefully this episode is insightful to some people and maybe even relatable. I want there to be a topic for everyone at this podcast.
Welcome to The Kween's Speech, episode 1! Today I also have my very first guest as me and one of my bestest friends Rosie, discuss the good, bad and the ugly of being a teenager. As we leave our teens next year and enter our twenties what better way to start the podcast off by reflecting on our lives so far! BIG thank you to Chloe Irving from Warner Music who created my jingle for me!!
