Reading Your Way to Heaven is a podcast where we take the best (and not so best) literature the Catholic Christian world has ever given us and cover it chapter by chapter. We'll be reading everything from theology, to philosophy, biographies, historical, magisterial documents, fantasy, non-fiction, fiction, and everything in between! It's Friday which you know what the means...you get "Friday" Gabe (and jason)! We talk about what it takes to be truly worthy of heaven, the problems one faces if they stray little children, and we dive into one of Jason's favorite parts of the Catechism. Gabe and Jason discuss chapter 16 of Matthew. They talk about the establishment of the Church, standing for Jesus as the Christ, the Son of the Living God, and the consequences of doing so. Speaking of believing in Jesus, the Catechism talks about coming to know Jesus through reason and faith sense God is the one who gave us the ability to have reason and understand that he can exist! We hope y'all enjoy this episode!
This episode is pretty short and sweet. We talk about our history of crossing guards and being narks on our peers in elementary school. We then get to understanding our judgment and to be ready now so that we are not caught off guard when we face Jesus Christ.
Francis de Sales make us contemplate our deaths and we share the first time we understood or mortality.

We go through chapter 14 and the miracle of the feeding of the 5,000 (yes Jesus really multiplied the loves and fish!), the death of John the Baptist, and Jesus walking on water. We then go through the first part of Pillar 1 of the Catechism that being the Creed.
Francis de Sales pushes us to recall our sinful past and doesn't let us off the hook! Get ready for some hard truths to reflect on for ourselves.

In this episode we cover the Catechism and then dive deep into Chapter 10 of Matthews Gospel. Jason had a lot to say on how this personifies discipleship within the modern ministry world.
It's The Ocho (Part deux!) Gabe realizes he has to get down into the nitty gritty of even those near occasions of sins and doesn't like Jason for calling this to his attention.
