When the search kicked off and the team started to grow - we quickly realized we needed some sort of home base - someplace where we can hang our hats and drop some roots. Over the next while you will find articles / posts from all the team members across a wide range of technologies and topics - all related to the IT Operations space. Part of our job as Advocates is to connect with the IT Pro / Ops audience, listen to any comments or concerns you may have and provide feedback to the product teams. We act as your advocates during product review meetings with senior leadership. How can you get your feedback in front of us? Do you have a question or a comment or just want to say hi? Personalize and add new features to Microsoft Edge with extensions. Starting with build 14291 for the Windows 10 Insider Preview (https://insider.windows.com), a selection of extensions is now available for Microsoft Edge.
When fully released to mainstream builds of Windows 10, extensions will be available via the Windows Store. Until that time, you can help us test extensions by downloading and adding them to Microsoft Edge by following the steps in this video.
What happens when three identical devices run on different browsers? The Microsoft Edge team wanted to find out. This experiment showed that battery life on a PC running Microsoft Edge lasts 70% longer than Chrome, 43% longer than Firefox Firefox, and 17% longer than Opera (with Battery Saver enabled).

On this episode of the CANITPRO Connection I am joined by Ed Borne, Sr. Technical Solutions Architect and Evangelist of Blackberry. While at Blackberry's offices in snowy Waterloo Ontario, Ed and I walk through the deployment of the Blackberry Enterprise Service (BES) on Azure via Azure Marketplace. Traditionally, the installation of BES is performed on premise on a Windows Server 2012 R2 implementation. This video however shows how Azure Marketplace can cut BES deployment time to just 20 minutes.
