Behind the Peel is a funky listening experience for your ears. Made up of 4 students from Birmingham City University, the podcast tackles social issues and current affairs from the defined angle of a student.
This particular episode tackles racism in a UK context, sparked by media coverage of the Black Lives Matter movement. It provides an interrogation into both institutionalized racism and white silence and how to best tackle it. We hear from Tianna Weir, Shannon Dullaghan and Jordan Hamilton with spoken word performances from Obike and Jemima Mitra.
