Finely Clicked

Hello and WELCOME to Finely Clicked- the podcast where we discuss business, leadership & personal development. My name is Margaret Smith, I’m the Director of Operations for Pickett Street Properties, a real estate team out of Bothell, WA- and I’ll be here every week with our Owner & Team Leader, Jesse D. Moore. We’ll be digging into ideas & concepts that have helped us both personally and professionally. And you’ll also get a chance to hear from local and national experts that we know provide massive value to get to the point where it all finally clicks.

Finely Clicked is pausing.
2805 days later.
Or 7 years, 8 months, 6 days.
Or 92 months, 6 days.
Or 67,320 hours later.

We're pausing for a moment.
This COULD be the final episode of Finely Clicked, we're not sure.

(this is Mo 👀).
You know. There's this concept I've learned about life in the last 2,805 days---> and it's said best in this quote that I heard almost every time I was sweating my ass off in hot yoga:

"In the end, only three things matter: how much you loved, how gently you lived, and how gracefully you let go of the things not meant for you." -Budha

For the first 30 years of my life I had THE HARDEST time letting go of people, places, moments, experiences, dreams- all of it. I wanted it to last- I was afraid to let go. I had no idea that it was a lesson I was meant to learn- so the universe CONTINUES to throw things at me where I am forced to:

Pause.
Experience what it throws.
Reflect.
And then gently let it go.

I am an emotional being, I won't ever let that go. I have a sensitive heart, that won't go either. I'm also striving to be the best human I can be- in order to best serve the planet- that is NOT going anywhere.

In this episode Jesse and I shared:

  1. The 3 things we have learned while working together about ourselves.
  2. Two things about each other that we have witnessed/learned.

To our Finely Clicked Listeners- thank you for taking this journey with us.

👉LISTEN. STAY CURIOUS. What does it actually mean to listen deeply?

A poem I wanted to share:

Deeply Listening
When someone deeply listens to you
It is like holding out a dented cup you have had since childhood
And watching it fill up with cold fresh water.

When it balances on the top of the rim
You are understood,
When it overflows and touches your skin
You are loved.

When someone deeply listens to you
The room where you stay starts a new life
And the place where you wrote your first poem
Begins to blow in your minds eye.
It’s as if gold has been discovered.

When someone deeply listens to you
Your bare feet are on the earth
And the beloved land that seemed distant
Is now at home within you.

It feels a little bit like we're in the eye of a tornado right now.  The idea that there's a center to a storm, a place in the midst of chaos where the intensity is a bit lower, but only for a moment- until you step back into it. To try and work through it.

This week an ASMR + Tequila episode felt like what we needed to do. My stomach has been churning this week, the energy is high. Lets sit in this discomfort together.

I have sat here, in my office, staring at my computer screen for what feels like hours. I have no idea what to title this, how to write it- and so I’ll do what I have learned to do while “Doing Life Together” here at Pickett Street, I will begin.

It’s time for me to leap.
LEAP: to pass abruptly from one state or topic to another. My word for 2020.

Right now, I’d like to start with a thank you.

Thank you to my forever friends at Pickett Street. Every member that has passed through the door has very literally changed my life. I entered the doors at Keller Williams Bothell at 31 years old, dressed in a simple black dress with no idea what I was walking into- and how drastically my life would change in 8 years.

Every time I step into the gray area, wander around and find my way- I come out a better human. There is discomfort in the in-between, and it is in that discomfort that I have found my comfort :)

I have Pickett Street as a company, Jesse D. Moore, Keller Williams, and every member of Pickett Street Properties to thank for helping me find my way to the loveliest, grayest area of life- where I can say with total passion and excitement- THIS, THIS is where I find my joy.

I have no idea what I’m going to do- and I have never been more excited for the journey.

There will be more to come from me on this topic.
But for today, I would just like to sit with this news for a moment.

If you don’t mind.

I never imagined I would be in a place where I would be sitting here, at my computer, writing to a community of people that have watched me grow in such a vulnerable, authentic and real manner.

Thank you for all the love, support, compassion and empathy.

I see you. Thank you for seeing me.

xo,
MO

How resilient are you?

On this episode Luke shares openly about the business that he lost and his journey to discovering who he is and what means the most to him. The loss of ego and gaining the insight to what it means to be truly happy.

❤️ We’ll let Aristotle speak for Luke. ”You are what you repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.” What Luke repeatedly does is build relationships, find the best people for his teams, lead by example, and treat others as he would like to be treated.

We're on our 3rd week of quarantine here in the Seattle area, at least for us here at Pickett Street. And we're beginning to see a different cycle take place.

This week we welcomed another group of listeners to watch us LIVE as we recorded this episode on Zoom. It's a welcome change to see the faces of your friends + listeners as we discuss the strange environment we're currently in.

👉Kathleen Metcalf from Vermont- a coach, speaker & trainer for Admin & Agents in Real Estate commented during the episode:

"The 5 Stages of Grief: Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Sadness, Acceptance. Everyone will go through these stages in their own way in their time. It seems each state in the USA is going through these stages too."

The truth in that comment still springs to my mind today almost every hour.

This week in the Seattle area some of us are starting to show our true colors, and they're not always displayed with the most grace, care and love.

We are doing what we can through this podcast and through "Operation: Tungsten Light" (facebook page) to provide you all with a taste of normalcy, connection and community.

Reach out.
Talk to people.
Insert boundaries where needed.
Settle into yourself. Journal. Go inward.

“Going inward. That’s the real work. The solutions are not outside of us. Get to know who you really are, because as you search for the hero within, you inevitably become one.” Emma Tiebens

Hi friends, this is Mo.

We recorded this episode on Wednesday, March 11th 2020- prior to Sarah Troske and I leaving WA state to teach in Minneapolis, MN. So MUCH has changed in just the last 3 days.

In this weeks episode (really and truly its an ASMR & Whiskey episode with a large part of it focused on the COVID-19) we discuss the changes that are taking place in the Seattle area- and how the economy is already beginning to see an impact.

1. If you need assistance, reach out to me
2. Please meditate/pray/sit in silence and breath for a minimum of 5 minutes every morning + evening.
3. Follow the facts, continue to pay attention to your health & wellness.

I hope this episode makes you LAUGH. We are here to bring you our perspective, and what we're learning on the daily from our friends & colleagues in the medical field and all industries and communities that are being impacted.

Lets get together on this.

🗣The 10X Rule:
"Regardless of what you want to do or be- whether it is to lose 10 pounds, write a book, or become a billionaire- your DESIRE to reach these points is an incredibly important element of doing so. Each of these goals is vital to your future survival- because they indicate whats within your potential.
Regardless of the goal you are striving to accomplish, you will be required to think differently, embrace a die-hard level of commitment, and take massive amounts of action at 10 times the levels you think necessary- followed by more actions. Almost every problem people face in their careers and other aspects of their lives- such as failed diets, marriages, and financial problems- are all results of not taking enough action."

Last week we lost a former team member, Armin Saee. My heart broke in half for him and his family & friends. In honor of our friend, we are dedicating this episode to Armin.

"Friend, you are so missed.

For every time you made us laugh.
For every time you walked into our office with that strut and a joke on hand- shoes on point.
For every time you came by for a handshake and a high five, beaming.
For the time you came into our lives and business- it had a purpose, of that i am sure.
For every time you said I needed to stand my ground and find a man that would treat me as they should.
For every time we spent talking about life + love.
For every time you heard my laughter and couldn’t help but join in.
For every time it was so clear to me you had a heart and spirit of sunshine.
For every time you brought 💯 support and love to those around you.
For every time we saw you happy.
For every time you were vulnerable.
For every time we will not be able to see you and hug you again.
For every time that we wanted you to see how amazing you were and the potential you had overflowing.
For every time you showed us photographs of your beautiful children and family, beaming with pride.
For every time we will think of you.

Friend, you are so dearly missed and loved."

"100% Human"---> Mo's making new shirts, who wants one?

In this episode we invite Special Guest, Daniel Wessel to join us in the studio. Daniel is our Investor Specialist. He started out as a client of ours, and now has been working with us for almost 4 months! He is a big fan of this book, The Infinite Game by Simon Sinek- and thus took copious notes. We wanted to invite him on to today's episode because he has truly taken to heart what we hope every member of our team does when they join---> the importance of reading and looking at the big M.....E.... as Matthew McConaughey says ;

🗣I'd like to share this quote with you from the book:

"In business, the resistance tends to come from a different place. Leaders of companies tell me that business is supposed to be professional, not personal. That their job is to drive performance, not to make their people feel good. But the fact is, there is no avoiding the existence of feelings. If you've ever felt frustrated, excited, angry, inspired, confused, a sense of camaraderie, envious, confident or insecure while at work, then congratulations, you're human. There is no way we can turn off our feelings simply because we are at work."

🔥🔥CHALLENGE🔥🔥
Challenge from Mo & Jesse to YOU. Get your team to read this book. In the next month (by December 31)- purchase the books and let us know. Post a pic here on social media + tag Finely Clicked. And your name will be entered into a raffle for a super cool price (decided on by Jesse. Who knows, maybe shark fins or tendrils?

👉Oh lord, in the studio today we had a VERY special guest: Kevin Kauffman from EXP Realty + Group 46:10.

😎 Episode 60: Nonsense + Special Guest: Kevin Kauffman

The 411 on Kevin:
Realtor, Podcast Host and Entertainer 😉

"I have developed a career and a lifestyle by doing things that are difficult –not because they are difficult, but because they often seem to be the best things to do. In 2007, the height of the housing bust, I started a career in the real estate. I faced opposition from every side. My family was nervous, my friends said I was nuts.

I believed that I was seeing was an opportunity, and while I appreciated their care for me and I knew they had my best interests at heart, I chose to follow my instincts. The market was terrible and the economy was unforgiving. I took from this rough beginning an experience that I now know to be invaluable. I learned that I possess the confidence, work ethic, will, and drive to be successful in spite of a down market. At a time when all of the “experts” were running away from real estate, I ran right at it. During my first year working in real estate, I was named “Rookie of the Year” and have ranked consistently near the tops of all production charts since.

In February 2008, my business partner, Fred Weaver and I formed Group 46:10, now the Group 46:10 Real Estate Network, with eXp Realty. The Group 46:10 Real Estate Network has taken on a bold path of expansion, moving into Denver in 2014, Nashville in 2015, and finally into a total of 5 markets in 2018. Before expanding our real estate sales team I was the majority owner of Keller Williams Realty Phoenix, a struggling franchise in 2013 on the brink of shutting down. I was able to help resurrect the brokerage, and once it was thriving in 2016 I sold it so I could focus on the expansion of The Group 46:10 Network.

Group 46:10 has received favorable write-ups in The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, and MarketWatch, among other highly regarded publications. Group 46:10 has consistently been named by Real Trends and the Wall Street Journal as one of “The Thousand” A-list of the top producing real estate agents and teams in the country."

Mo first ran into Vanessa via the internet- where she connects with many :) When Jesse sent her an email from PRO REA Staffing, he thought she might be someone good to connect with.

Mo reached out- and the rest is history.

Prior to co-founding Pro R.E.A. Staffing, Vanessa Rosenblum ran a successful recruiting firm that specialized in placing administrative level staff with real estate professionals throughout the Los Angeles area. In addition to sourcing and placing candidates, she developed custom training programs for real estate teams and consulted with real estate agents to help them strategically grow their businesses. She was inspired to expand that business model and launch Pro REA because she saw the need to provide a higher level of training, support, flexibility and leverage to agents and their team members.

Vanessa brings fifteen years’ experience working with small businesses and coaching entrepreneurs to Pro R.E.A. Staffing including four years’ experience in the real estate industry as the manager of a business coaching company. She has a track record of proven success in helping businesses achieve higher efficiency and stronger communication within their teams and with clients.

You can email Vanessa at vanessa@proreastaffing.com or give her a call at (800) 353-5644 EXT 101.

Tune in to this episode for some awesome stories- if you can imagine some of the things that Vanessa is privy to hearing :)

Today we are STOKED to share this episode with special guest, Anese Cavanaugh: author, leader, speaker & overall game changer!

🗣Anese Cavanaugh is a leadership and collaboration advisor and thinking partner to some of today’s most creative organizations and business leaders in the world. Top innovators and executives in companies like IDEO, Zingerman’s, Cooper, Joie de Vivre, Fitbit, Nike, Vistaprint, Kaiser Permanente, IBM, and others have engaged with Anese to strengthen team health, maximize leadership impact, and improve company culture.

Clients, often deeming her body of work “the secret sauce” missing in their leadership, sales, and communication processes, and referring to her as a “game changer” and “miracle worker,” say she “builds creative leaders,” “gets people having honest conversations,” “brings love back into corporate,” “deprograms robots to humans,” and “unlocks potential.” Individuals and teams who go through her training programs consistently call them transformational — not only professionally, but personally as well — as they learn to show up more intentionally and work together more cohesively.

As a leading voice on Intention, Energy, and Presence (“IEP”) in leadership and culture, she created the IEP Method® to enable people to gain greater access to their own secret sauce for showing up more powerfully, collaborating more inspiringly, creating more openly, intuiting more bravely, and leading more joyfully and effectively.

We've decided to break down each of the 5 steps in Jesse's class (5 Steps to Building a Top Producing Team in 18 Months) in our podcast- we're on the final 2 steps- follow the model & diversify your business!

🗣"I didn't find a way to make a lightbulb. I found a thousand ways not to make one."
-Thomas Edison

In this episode we discuss WHY you don't need to reinvent the wheel. There are models out there that are already proven. Don't let your ego run the show.

Models + a foundation first---> then PLAY!

Jesse's 3 tips for getting closer to the model:
1. Read the Millionaire Real Estate Agent
2. Find Leverage (like Closer Pros) to handle your TC work.
3. Go outside of your state and shadow someone.

If you've been to Jesse's class IRL (in real life), you know what an impact these steps made on our business.

Share this with someone in business or life that would benefit!

Have you ever considered the idea that there might be ONE SOLUTION that could end a war? Bring opposing parties to the table for a purposeful conversation?

Today we had the opportunity to speak with Mara Gleason, author of the book, One Thought Changes Everything. And- we're still spinning from the conversation.

Much of what Mara speaks about will remind you of pieces that we heard from Gary John Bishop & EnMay Mangels. Tune in. We can't wait for you to hear this.

The 411 on Mara:

Mara Gleason Olsen, Co-Founder and Director of One Solution, has enjoyed working with all walks of life throughout her career, including MIT-trained physicists, UN directors, US Marines, NHL players, Microsoft managers, prisoners, the Chicago PD, and teens from Southside Chicago and Gaza.

Prior to founding One Solution, she co-founded and directed One Thought, a NYC and London-based company that trained hundreds of organizational leaders from around the world. She’s also the bestselling author of One Thought Changes Everything.

Mara graduated with a Master’s degree from Columbia University in 2006, and currently lives in Chicago with her husband and co-director, Eirik, and several plants that she works hard to keep alive, despite their frequent travels.

👂Did you hear? NEW episode just hit the streets! 👀

Would you consider yourself a GOOD or a BAD listener?
Well. It's time to throw that concept out the door.

One of our previous guests- Monique Helstrom, former Chief of Simon Sinek, graciously referred us here at the Finely Clicked Podcast to Dave Momper. And when Monique refers someone to us- we listen, and we take action.

So this week we are thrilled to introduce you to someone new AND a new concept & assessment (we know how much you LOVE assessments).

🗣The 411 on Dave:
Dave Momper is the founder of Thrival Concepts, a leadership consulting firm that helps executive-level leaders to approach the act of listening as a strategic business function so that they can build conscious growth-minded cultures, and high-performing teams fueled by intentional, authentic communication. Dave accomplishes this by showing leaders the cognitive listening habits we each have, and providing a unique leadership-communication framework that prompts a transformation of awareness, action, and performance.

Dave is also the host and executive producer of CreativeMornings/Denver, which is one of over 200 chapters around the world that produce a free monthly breakfast speaker series on creativity.

His passion for leadership, creativity, life-long learning, and community fuels his personal and professional endeavors. Dave has lived in Colorado for over 30 years and when he's not working with clients he's usually up in the high-country savoring the woods and the mountains!

👉At the end of the episode David mentions a SPECIAL deal for our Finely Clicked Podcast listeners. Instead of his usual $250 consultation and assessment fee- he is giving it to our listeners for $100!

Here's the consult link:

Every human has a story.
Something we're obsessed with here on Finely Clicked is people- and their story.

This week I interviewed Ada Alvarado right here in the Finely Clicked studio in Bothell, WA.

Ada is the Director of Operations for the Springboard Home Team out of Bellevue, WA. We met probably 8 months ago when she walked in the PNW Admin Mastermind at the KW Bothell Office- and I (Mo) was like, I need to meet that girl.

She is bubbly, glowing, and I could tell that she listened with intention- that always catches my eye.

Ada was diagnosed with Stage 4 Hodgkins Lymphoma in January 2015. I asked if she would share her story with our listeners- and she agreed.

Tune in for some inspiration, and share her story with someone that needs to hear it.

🗣Just a MOment: Leading + The 411
👉Lets talk about a tool we can and should be using for LEADERSHIP.

Hands down, one of the things I hear MOST often: "Mo, how do you get weekly meetings with your direct report? We only meet when there's a fire, or maybe once per month. I don't feel like I have any guidance or support."

It's time to meet with your people. Drop the mic 🎤

We hear all the time it's often the simple, boring things that we DON'T want to do that will get us the FARTHEST.

"It's not easy, but it's simple."Taking the time to meet with your people will save you hours, provide them with support/guidance, and ultimately build your business.

Tune in for this short MOment with Mo on how to use the 411 as a tool to meet with your direct reports and help keep them accountable to both their business and personal goals in life.

Hi 👀 welcome to the first "mini" episode of Finely Clicked.
I'm calling it "Just a MOment".

1. I'd like to directly address questions, ideas, HOT topics that our listeners have in quick 10-20 minutes episodes. What would you like me to address for you? Email me: Margaret@pickettstreet.com

This first mini MOment I took the opportunity to address a question that I've received so much in my life: "Margaret, how have you created and MAINTAINED this positive attitude in your life?".

I'd like to dedicate this mini episode to Quinn Hubbard, 5 year old daughter to two friends of mine: Jessica & Kalan Hubbard out of Joplin, MO- they run a successful real estate team and have been teaching Quinn how to say her "good things" every night. And Mallory- 13 year old daughter of Elizabeth Grace Marty- my good friend that is an Agent out of Reno, NV.

These 2 young ladies are on a quest to start their lives with a positive mindset- and they inspire me.

Below is a sneak peek. Tune in, its 18 minutes long.

“Strength does not come from winning. Your struggles develop your strengths. When you go through hardships and decide not to surrender, that is strength.”
—Arnold Schwarzenegger

This week we interviewed our very own, Sarah Troske. She has been the Team Admin + Transaction Coordinator for Pickett Street for the last 5 years.

She chose sobriety in January 2017 and has never looked back. In May 2017 she woke up, rose from her bed, and proclaimed her goal to be a bodybuilder- and she met that goal with a fierce fire 🔥

Tune in to this special episode to hear her story from sobriety to strength. Jesse + Mo could NOT be prouder of Sarah and the graceful way in which she has evolved over the last few years.

This July- Sarah will leave to become a full time trainer and body builder. Are you kidding me? Does life get better?

One of my favorite memories of Sarah will always be sitting in our office, Command Central, and talking with her about empathy, grace, generosity, love, kindness and the adventure of life. We have learned a ton from each other.

Tune in.

Tim Long: Executive Assistant to Gary John Bishop

YOU GUYS! This episode is 💥 Tim has been the EA to Gary for almost 2 years now. His story is one that will inspire you. I can't wait to hear what you think :)

The 411 from Tim:
"I Grew up in Thailand, Yes, I know I don't look Thai and that would be because I am not. I lived there for 15 years with my family and returned to the US when my parents divorced. From there, I became heavily involved in the arts and humanities, my local church and I began studying people and sharpening my mental disciplines.

Many years later I suffered a divorce, job loss, bankruptcy and attempted suicide. This was one of the darkest periods of my life and it was also one of the most important.

It was during this time that I made a choice. I made a choice to do something with my life. I chose to work on the problems of the world. I chose to make a difference wherever I could.

I found my way into working for a development company where I quickly grew and soaked up everything I could about training others, and most importantly, myself.

Now, I have pooled all of my talents to help people navigate their communication and mastery 4 distinct areas: Relationships, Communications, Technology & Photography."

Today we were thrilled to speak with Monique Helstrom- former Chief of Simon Sinek. Monique is a builder, a solutions expert, an enthusiastic and intelligent human.

From Monique:
"There’s no doubt about it - I’ve had plenty of miscommunications and mistakes, “aha” moments and “ugh” moments, and periods of growth as well as periods of decline. These challenges have helped me think beyond the box and become a catalyst of change. The struggle has been real. I’ve learned how to build – and, more importantly, how to maintain – the mighty union between visionary and those who work in their service so that all ships can rise together.

After serving for nearly a decade as the Chief of Simon Sinek, New York Times Best-Selling author and TED celebrity, I’ve had unparalleled opportunities, unique experiences, and perspective shifts. With the tools I’ve accumulated in my own successful career as the primary support person for one of the most influential thought leaders of our time, I can teach you how decipher and disentangle the common - yet underrecognized - issues plaguing this indispensable partnership. This last weekend The 3rd Annual PNW Operations Retreat took place in Cle Elum, WA with 33 Operations Gurus from around the country in the Real Estate Industry.

"Purpose & Mission of Retreat: Build community, be a resource and help fellow Admin realize their value and full potential in order to disrupt the Real Estate industry.”

From Mo:I decided to organize the retreat because I realized we needed an event where we had more than a few hours together, and I also thought it would shine a light on the need. There are many events, conferences and retreats organized for Real Estate Agents- there are very few if any for Real Estate Admin/Operations.

My goal with this retreat is to show them just how powerful they can be, and help them learn how to share their story effectively. Through networking, hard work and persistence- they have the ability to take control of what they want in life and go after it. Many Admin have a lot of fear over talking to their Team Leaders/Boss about what they want or think they deserve and what they're capable of. Thus, much of this retreat is all about personal development. By working on ourselves first- much of what else we need will follow. And you'll see your business begin to take off!

In this episode you'll hear some of the "aha's" that came out of this weekend. Something very special happened- and the magic that came with this years annual retreat- well, we're gonna see the ripple effect :)

xoxo,
Mo

Today we had Gary John Bishop, author of the book Unfuck Yourself. I believe we used the word "dazed" to describe how Jesse & I felt after recording this episode. Gary very much read Jesse's book at the beginning of this episode- and ended it by reading mine.

Gary was born in Glasgow, Scotland. He's a coach, speaker, author, and one very authentic human being. The Admin at Keller Williams Bothell decided to read this book for our monthly meetings- and once done, we decided to reach out and ask him to speak at the PNW Operations Retreat.

From Gary: "In very real terms we are all Philosophers in one way or another, that is we all, from time to time, engage with thinking about life and it's greater meaning. I've spent the last ten years of my life engaging with some of Philosophies most thought provoking and challenging ideas and discovering whole new ways to deliver them to people to use in their real, everyday lives. Urban Philosophy is real world answers for real people to use in their real lives."

We look forward to hearing what you think about Gary's perspective- be prepared- it's like staring straight into the sun.

This is part 3 of a 3 part series: Self-Awareness, Authenticity & Boundaries.

Now that we've discussed self-awareness and authenticity- lets talk about how you use those tools to create boundaries in your personal and professional life.

Definition of personal boundaries: Personal boundaries are guidelines, rules or limits that a person creates to identify reasonable, safe and permissible ways for other people to behave towards them and how they will respond when someone passes those limits.

You need to know yourself and what you value- in order to know when to draw the line. And then HOW do you draw that line? What do you say?

Mo & Jesse break down some examples as to how they've done this in the past and why they value it so much now.

This is part 2 of a 3 part series: Self-Awareness, Authenticity & Boundaries.

🎧 How do you define authenticity? What does that look like? "Sincere" is one synonym for authenticity - and if you break it down by its Latin roots:

Sincere= Without Wax

When sculptors were working on their art, they would often use wax to hide any of their mistakes. If they didn't use wax- they would hang a sign outside their shop that said "SINCERE". Thus, potential customers would know their final piece was authentic and without wax.

As Simon Sinek has said: "The things you say, and the things you do- you must actually MEAN".

Tune in as we break down this concept, and your ears will tingle as Mo has her FAVORITE MOMENT YET of the entire podcast.

Today we're dropping Episode 5 of "Finely Clicked" with a phenomenal first guest- someone who is not only making waves in the art world, but in the business world as well. One of our favorite quotes or ideas from this episode: The obstacle IS the advantage. Iris Scott has been featured in Forbes, Barron's, Business Insider, USA Today, NowThis, CBS New York, and American Art Collector Magazine. Several galleries carry Iris's originals, her collectors have included Microsoft, Coca-Cola, Children’s Hospital, and Swedish Medical Centers. In contrast to much of the contemporary art scene scarcity model, Iris’ prints are intentionally accessible because she believes withholding affordable prints is not aligned with the collective conscious of art history’s future. Iris Scott- an Artist that paints with her FINGERS, from a small farm near Seattle, WA. Themes from this week's episode: 1. Set limitations and work within them. 2. Follow the script, then deviate. 3. Enjoy it, have an audience, FOCUS on that. 4. The obstacle is the ADVANTAGE. 5. Iris talks to herself everyday- affirmations. 6.
