Welcome to The Build Conference – a brand-new opportunity for people to come together around a common purpose. We believe that the next generation— the children being raised right now— will change the world. They matter—to God, to you, and to us. That’s why we desire to come alongside parents, grandparents, teachers, and educators to offer hope and practical help in their God-given task of raising the next generation of passionate Jesus followers.
What does it look like to raise children that will be gospel-goers? We will look at how to start early creating a mission-minded atmosphere in your home that will lead to setting a course for them to go to their Jerusalems, Judeas, Samarias, and to the ends of the earth for the rest of their lives.
What are the differences between what is expected teenage angst and hormones vs. something clinical, such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, etc.? Teens are dealing with their own life stressors; academics, extra-curricular activities, jobs, future plans, self-image, relationships, bullying, sexual pressure, developing independence while still being dependent, hormones, fear of failure, body changes, and brain development. What are realistic expectations I can have of my teen and how can parents help them navigate their life stress?
Entitlements are a force to be reckoned with in our culture and it fits hand-in-glove with the lack of respect. You will learn simple strategies to practice and how to teach your children to develop a much deeper appreciation for things and people.
We are born to connect. Our power to parent and influence the lives of our children comes from the strength of the emotional connection that we have with our children. This session will focus on key strategies for connecting with your children throughout childhood.
