You are listening to our midweek Bible study. We are currently making our way through Paul's little letter to Philemon of Colosse. Our theme for this letter is- -How To Be A Profitable Christian.-
We are currently in a series called The Great Gospel Words of the Bible. Most of these words end with -tion- and are related to the major theme of Salvation by grace through faith if Christ alone. Sanctification is the latest addition to our vocabulary list.
The touchstone of the reformation was justification by faith, i.e., to be declared righteous before a holy and all-seeing God. Wonderful and glorious is Christ our Saviour- We are justified by faith in him apart from the works of the law.
This is a dispensational approach to the book of Acts. Moderate Dispensationalism is authorized by scripture and is the only way to correctly understand the word of truth. The Bible harmonizes perfectly when rightly divided -2 Tim. 2-15-. Should we pray for a Pentecost experience- Am I supposed to -speak in- tougnues- Do I have to -speak in tongues- to be saved- Answers to these questions and more. We invite you to follow our study of the book of Acts.
This message is a basic overview of the restoration of Israel as found in the pages of the Bible. The basic prophetic outline is two-fold- -1- the regathering of Israel to their land and -2- the conversion of Israel to their Messiah.

We often think of -the law of sowing and reaping- in a negative sense, that was certainly the case with unfaithful Israel, but we should also consider it in a positive way. We can sow in righteousness and reap in mercy. Israel and Judah were yoked up together to plow wickedness. They both reaped a harvest of judgement for their Idolatry.
Chapter 9 contains another threat of judgement from the throne of God against the Northern ten-tribe kingdom of Israel. They had deeply corrupted themselves. They brought judgement down upon their own heads. America closely resembles that backslidden nation of long ago.
God's love is a love that gives. It comes from God, it is taught to men and is freely offered to all.
In the eighth chapter of Hosea, the LORD gave at least 7 reasons for bringing judgement on the Northern ten-tribe kingdom.
In this message, Hosea zooms into the future to a time in the Great Tribulation when Israel will return to her covenant God. God's punishments in this world are remedial.
In this message we deal with the subjects who are on trial during the Great White Throne Judgment, the place, the timing and the results. There is no chance for a second appeal. Come to Christ now before it is too late-
This is a highmark in our study, a great mountain peak of truth in the Bible. Our Lord came from Glory to a village called Bethlehem, from Bethlehem to the Garden of Gethsemene, from Gethsemene to the cross. Christ always did the will of His Father.
The Judgement of the Nations should not be confused with the Kidgement Seat of Christ or the Great White Throne Judgement. They occur at different places and times.
The LORD's controversy with His people. The LORD, no doubt, has a controversy with America too.
In chapter 2, Paul gives us an exhortation to humility and the best example of humility, our Lord and Savior.
Trust in God's redeeming grace. There is mercy for backsliders. Are you wayward and weary- You can be restored to God. Believe it- If you are living and breathing, it is not to late to come back to the LORD.
This is the Judgment of the believers works and should not be confused with the judgment of ours sins which occurred at Calvary.
The nation of Israel -and I don't mean the church- will be restored. They have to be. What are you gonna do with all those unfulfilled prophecies in the OT- Hmmm-

The so called -minor prophets- are some of the most overlooked books in the Bible. Join us as we study this book together. Hosea has 14 chapters, 197 verses, and 5,174 words. He prophesied in days of apostasy and national declension. He watched his nation, the northern kingdom of Israel, as it was -turned into hell.-

The church is not going through the Great Tribulation, also called the time of Jacob's Trouble. We are the church, not Jacob.

This is the beginning of our study of the fifth and final vision of Daniel. From our perspective, we covered an overview of the -historical- portion of this prophecy.
Paul prayed for healing three times, but the healing never came. He got an answer to prayer, but it wasn't what he wanted. This is a practical lesson about imparted grace for serving.
Daniel was strengthened and encouraged by the angelic messenger, Gabriel. He was given an introduction to the fifth and final vision of chapter 11.

We need to get to know the God of the Bible. The more we know Him, the more we trust Him. For instance, we need to understand why the Lord allows trials in our lives and how He can use them to purify us. God is preparing His children for eternity. We can't learn it all here, but we can learn in this message that our faithful God will only teach those who obey Him.
What made this centurion a man of great faith- I believe we can find the answers in this passage and in a parallel passage. Let's pray and ask the Lord to make us people of great faith.

If someone wanted to arrest you for being a Christian, could they find enough evidence to convict-
In this passage, Paul predicts what people will be like in the last days. Things are not going to get better before the Lord returns, they are going to get worse. We need to brace ourselves for it and we need to continue in the word of God.
A Christian cannot lose his salvation but he sure can lose his inheritance and rewards.
We finished chapter 4 looking at the things we must -put on- in order to walk worthy of our calling. The principle of replacement is clearly seen in this passage. When you remove something bad from your life, make sure you replace it with something good. The void in your life must be filled with something good. This is a day by day process of change. It doesn't all happen overnight.
One of the reasons we doubt God is our -little faith- or our want of a strong faith. We must take the necessary steps to build and strengthen our faith in the Lord.
In this message we learn about the severity of God's judgment upon proud men and nations. One can't help but compare America to Babylon.
Do you struggle with assurance of salvation- Are you afraid that maybe you have lost it or maybe you never where saved- In this message we give 6 signs of life. These will be true of a genuine believer. We pray that this will be used of God to help you get it settled.
There is perfect, spiritual unity in the body of Christ and in all that God does. We have learned about the ideal of this unity, but there is also diversity in the body of believers. We are gifted individually to serve the body of Christ. Each member is uniquely gifted and each is important.
The unity of believers in Christ should be on full display in the fellowship and the ministry of our local church. We will not be perfect, but we should endeavor to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
Nebuchadnezar was an egomaniac. He wanted to be worshiped as a god for his great accomplishments in Babylon. God deflated his ego and Neb gave God of heaven and earth the glory in the end.
We didn't get very far in this one. So much that could be said about the word -therefore.-
Water baptism by immersion explained and defended. This is for the benifit of our members and anyone seeking truth. The attitude that we are right and others are wrong is not becoming for believers.

We are children of Abraham by faith and we should walk in that faith. Abraham is a great example for us. He got up early to pray, we should get up early too. We should start our days alone with the Lord.
