When you think that life couldn't be worse, then listen to the story of Castanita Fitzpatrick who at the age of 5 was already on the road to being sexually traumatized which would continue on for 31 years.
But then, a miracle happened after she hit a pole head on and she walked away without a scratch she knew it was her "daddy God" that saved her. Castanita is working on getting her degree in Social work. She is the House Manager at Shepherd's Inn where she helps young women to put their lives back together. She is a certified Peer Recovery Coach and has been winning awards for outstanding community service and is recognized by the courts in Dallas for her work with other women seeking to get out of prostitution. My husband was spit at and physically injured by a meth addict a couple of days ago and it was like watching television. She also spit at the police when they got there and it was just a week ago, watching television when we saw a man with an underlying mental illness was high on drugs and he too spit on the police. He also had to have a spit hoodie put on him. After all we are in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic!. Unfortunately he ended up dead. Addiction gets the best of all of us at one time or another. Whether it is food, drugs, social media, sex , television, gambling, work or something else, it all starts with a mindset. We just need to change our thinking and decide. Are you ready to change?

There is nothing more inspiring than a 97 year old World War II Veteran Marine who spent most of his life serving our country continuing to do so by writing children's books that bring joy, laughter, unity, love and peace to the world. His life lessons of growing up in MIssissippi during the great depression with his best friends being "colored folks" has led him to desire to inspire others to become "color blind." His book "Oscar The Mouse" was written before the unfortunate racial tension escalated in America began but it will be an asset for parents and teachers to use to help children overcome their fears of what they don't understand and have judged based on what they see rather than who someone is.
