After an unacceptable couple of weeks away, a sin when starting up a new podcast, I'm back and out in the sun around Henley. This week sharing some of my experiences working on events and being part of this year's Henley Royal Regatta. It's an event I've worked closely with over the last few months and now it's underway I'm in my element. Plus my visit to Facebook HQ and why I didn't record a podcast when I went paddleboarding the other day.

Hi again, or even for the first time, it's me Danny Rambling. A podcast where I get to talk to no one in particular whilst out on my evening rambles. Attempting to impart some knowledge and wisdom as I go and will be covering a range of topics over the coming weeks.
This week - week one proper - is me talking about why I really really love podcasts and what that is all about. Plus a bit about my background to help explain what has led me to this point. Over the last three years I've found audio to be the most intimate and fun to both work with and just enjoy as a listener. I've listed out below some of the podcasts I regularly listen to so hopefully you can enjoy them too.
So far I've found it hard to find many people who share my passion for creating and listening to podcasts. It's a different group of people than the network I've built up over the last 9 years through my work in social media in sport, so I guess I'm starting off from scratch again.

It's the start of something that could be good (I hope so) as I take my three years of podcast experience and turn it into something new. Up to now my work has taken the form of interview style shows, where my input has been kept to the intro's and important, well thought out questions (sometimes). So now it's time to just talk about things that are important to me; some will be serious issues and others will be fun and lighthearted... playing to my hidden silly side. Where this will go? Who knows. What will the first episode be? No idea...yet.
