Bill Hobbs, Founder of Urban Youth Impact, sits down with the Power2B show to discuss is journey of faith. Knowing God was calling him to minister to inner-city youth, Pastor Bill Hobbs left his professional golf career in 1988, which included working for Jack Nicklaus, to work with at-risk youth in Palm Beach County. In his desire to serve at-risk youth, Hobbs began bringing sports equipment and the Bible during his visits to children living in the housing projects along the Tamarind Avenue corridor. He noticed that the same 25 boys would come every week to hear about Jesus, how He loved them and how He had a plan for their lives. Because of his consistent compassion for the community, Bill became a trusted friend and father figure to the residents of Tamarind Avenue – one of the highest crime-ridden neighborhoods in the county.
He is also the author of “My Longest Drive, One Man’s Passion for the Urban Poor.”
Veronica Mitchell sits down with Dr. Byrd to discuss how a family tragedy shifted her focus and how God guided her through it all.

Dr. Byrd sits down with Kevin and June McCalla, husband and wife team, that shares their journey of God guiding their paths not only to Him but to each other and towards prosperity. Kevin, a barber of more than 20yrs from Toronto Canada became a barber at a young age because he wanted to make money to help his mom. By the age of 22, he had destroyed his life in many states, Canada, and Mexico. He did not know he had a business mind until years later after giving his life to Christ while in prison. June, is a cosmetologist serving Palm Beach and surrounding counties for over 12yrs, originally from West Palm Beach. She didn’t know she would be a stylist, she was thrusted into this position at a young age because she never liked the hairstyles she was given as a child. Growing up in a cycle of abuse, she ended up in the same cycle until she later heard the voice of God say "I love you!". You see unless you have felt that type of void, you can't begin to understand how powerful hearing those words are! Together, they both provide beauty and grooming services in a space of their home, they have turned into a salon. They are the parents of 3 beautiful children.
It is a blessing and inspiring to see the work that's been given to you touch so many lives. That's what Sylvia and Mark experience often through their works published under ChiChiMa Productions.
Mark and Sylvia own and operate a gospel theater company ChichiMa Productions pronounced chee-chee-mah, which is a combination of both of their names. “ChiChi” is Sylvia’s childhood nickname and Ma is the first two letters of Mark’s name. To date, Sylvia has written more than 50 plays with many being performed throughout the United States. They present a gospel stage play at least once a year where hundreds come and experience the spirit of God and his power and ability to save and set the captives free!
