Jason and Anna will be watching all 193 episodes of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle cartoon series and recapping each one! Jason is a super-fan, Anna is watching them for the first time… this will be fun.
This week we break down the season 5 primetime special premiere "Planet of the Turtleoids". In our longest episode records so far, we break down the hour special and bring you the details on how this aired originally and the impact it had during that time. Also, this special had a record number of new toys introduced including Groundchuck, Dirt Bag, and Chrome Dome.

This week we break down the season 4 finale "Unidentified Flying Leonardo". We talk about the finale episode of our long road of season 4 as Leo goes to upstate New York and is mistaken for an alien. And the villain of this episode wants to make the vegetables much larger to disrupt the eco system.
This week we break down the episode "The Foot Soldiers are Revolting". We get introduced to Alpha-1 as he takes over the Technodrome and plan to put the entire Earth's population in there instead. Also, this episode is plagued with a lot of animation and logic errors. Not one of the finest honestly. Jason and Anna give their review of Mutant Mayhem as well

This week we break down the episode "Beyond the Donatello Nebula". Donatello is determined to find turtle aliens, forgetting that he found them in an earlier episode. This week we break down the episode "Raphael Drives 'Em Wild". What the kids in the 90s wanted in their cartoon shows - MORE GANGSTERS!! Here, Raph and cab driver Oscar switches bodies as a turtle is now driving taxis while a human is hanging out with the Turtles. All this because Vinnies puts their pizzas into fancy boxes like cakes. Also, Anna tells you about her rude cab driver she had at one time.

This week we break down the episode "Splinter Vanishes". Splinter leaves the turtles a video tape saying that he is left and they have to move out of the sewers. This week we break down the episode "Funny, They Shrunk Michelangelo". So the big mystery about this episode is that in the title, Michelangelo's name is spelled correctly, but during this time frame, his name was spelled "Michealangelo". Jason and Anna have a great time talking about this episode, as Anna calls it if Miyazaki and Hanna-Barbera worked together. The bath scene alone makes you wonder how it got through standards and practices. We also talk about the Turtle Tips segments that used to air in between the episodes of the show.

This week we break down the episode “The Big Blow Out”. Part 3 of the 3 part season 3 finale. We discuss how the animation team pretty much got tired from animated 46 previous episodes and gave us a subpar result for the finale. But animation aside, it is a very solid finale and just like seasons 1 and 2, the writing treats it more as a final episode than a season finale. Also, we go into Anna’s recent accomplishment of being an American citizen, as this episode misguided kids into thinking that Mount Rushmore is within driving distance from New York City.

This week we break down the episode “Mister Ogg Goes to Town”. Today’s secret word is Ogg. AAAAHHHHHHHH It’s obvious with his popularity at the time with children, the writers and show runners wanted to somehow get Pee-Wee Herman into the show, as Mister Ogg is a cross between that character and Mr. Myxlplyx from DC Comics. The portal generator makes a return and did Shredder actually succeed in his plan in this episode? Jason and Anna also go over the cartoon shows they grew up with as well.

This week we break down the episode “The Grybyx”. The episode itself borrows heavily from the 80s movie Gremlins as we have a cute creature turn into a monster if you innocently feed it food. Also, Rocksteady actually has a different personality than Bebop in this episode. Additionally, Jason and Anna might’ve figured out the mystery of how Mikey loses his nunchucks at the end of this season canonically!!
