Don't get me started on real estate headlines today. The sky is not falling, and we are not heading into a foreclosure crisis - unless every single underlying number is wrong on its face. Time to get real. Don't listen to the pretenders.
Some mornings I feel an awful lot like Don MacLean in American Pie..."bad news on the doorstep/I couldn't take one more step..." It's no longer worth comparing the current market to the previous markets. At this point, it's a little bit like comparing different eras in MLB; same rules but completely different games.

I've been beating up on the Fed a bit lately, but the truth is the market is doing pretty well, all things considered. There are still buyers for homes. There appears to be both a price floor and a price ceiling. That might not be a bad spot to be in at the moment.
Demand from buyers is exceeding inventory and low inventory is going to make for a strong spring selling season. Also, the Fed needs to stop raising rates.
What's up with interest rates? I'm all in on a bull real estate market this spring...American Canyon is unhappy with the Napa Cove Apartments
The Hill ran an article at the beginning of the week titled - more or less - Americans surveyed don't know sh*t about real estate. Ya think? Debunking the idea that there will be another crash (even if we're in a bubble) and that mortgage rates haven't been this high ever...or at least in the last 15 years.

I (try to) write a weekly, light-hearted blog on what's going on in real estate. It's a labor of love...as well as a vanity project. There's more that I can do with it and so I'm trying something new. No reason no to use existing resources. Maybe, for once, I'll find the consistency that I've been looking for, eh?
