Our Boxing Day 2018 Podcast features a conversation with LA-based @astronomywriter, Richard J. Bartlett. Chris talks to Richard about the origin of his love for the night sky at 6 years old, some of his discoveries through self-publishing his books in digital and physical format, a new book project combining music and the stars, and how anyone can get started in exploring the skies. Richard's first website, StarLore, was featured in Sky & Telescope magazine in early 2001. Following that success, he freelanced for Astronomy, reviewing astronomical websites and software in his monthly Webweaver Picks column. Additionally, he has moderated on the UniverseToday forums, operated his own astronomical message-board and still tweets the latest in space and astronomical news. Now living in the suburbs of Los Angeles, he still stops to stare at the sometimes smoggy night sky through the city's light-pollution.
