True North founder Candice Malcolm takes to the airwaves to talk about the latest headlines, conduct in-depth interviews and dive into stories the mainstream media won't touch.
Be it resolved, don't trust the mainstream media. That was the subject of a recent Munk debate in Toronto which saw audience members thoroughly reject the half-hearted defence of legacy media. A majority of the audience went into the evening against the resolution – declaring their trust in establishment media. But by the end of the evening, 39% of the vote had shifted and the room overwhelmingly sided against legacy media. Also on the show, CTV News repeats Chinese propaganda about Zero Covid, a legacy media journalist gets triggered by the sight of the word "freedom" on a sweater and CBC Comedy publishes an insanely cringeworthy piece of content.Tune in to Fake News Friday with Andrew Lawton and Harrison Faulkner!Learn more about your ad choices. Last week, True North reported on how the Edmonton Downtown Business Association’s Holiday Light Up event won’t have a giant Christmas tree and how the City of Edmonton is refusing to step in to provide a tree due to the environmental impact. In response, the Canadian Press is reporting how the association and the mayor are now victims of “racist attacks.” The only problem? Nobody knows what these “racist attacks” actually are. Plus, Global News is freaking out about how Shopify is refusing to cut ties with online organization Libs of TikTok because the group doesn’t align with Global’s preferred political views. And, the Globe and Mail publishes an op-ed about how socializing after work is not inclusive of women and other marginalized groups. Such bravery. Another international trip for Trudeau, another embarrassing moment for Canadians. This week, Chinese president Xi Jinping publicly criticized Prime Minister Justin Trudeau for allegedly leaking details of their conversation to the media. While international media outlets are reporting the incident accurately, those in Canada’s legacy media are rushing to defend Canada’s prime minister – even going as far as suggesting the public incident means “Trudeau is doing his job.” Plus, a Toronto Star columnist wants to hear more about “racism and hate crimes” during the Emergencies Act hearings. And, Canada’s state broadcaster claims crosswords are now racist. Yes, you read that correctly. True North’s Sue-Ann Levy joins us for our favourite time of the week – it’s Fake News Friday! Here are this week’s awful takes, skewed coverage and the worst examples of fake news in the legacy media. Elon Musk has taken over Twitter and some Canadian media members are having a complete meltdown over the idea of paying $8 to become a verified user on Twitter. One journalist even went as far as suggesting Musk should pay him to stay on Twitter. What a time to be alive! And as the Emergencies Act hearings continue, Canadians can depend on the legacy media for their skewed coverage of the inquiry. Plus, as teachers in Ontario refuse to do their jobs and defy the Ford government’s back-to-work legislation, the legacy media suddenly cares about the Charter of Rights and Freedoms. Where was the media’s outrage during the pandemic? It’s Fake News Friday with Andrew Lawton and Sue-Ann Levy! Tune in now!

After a tight race, Winnipeg elected a new mayor this week – Glen Murray! No wait – Scott Gillingham! CTV News Winnipeg incorrectly declared Murray as the winner. After realizing its mistake, CTV had to retract its tweet after pushing literally fake news.
Plus, Ontario Premier Doug Ford gets caught with his pants on fire after it was revealed the Public Order Emergency Commission repeatedly requested that he testify before the Public Order Emergency Commission.
And to cap the show off – the legacy media loses their minds about RCMP officers wearing a Thin Blue Line patch. Yep, you guessed it — it’s racist or something.

Reuters tries to fact-check a video reposted by True North where a Pfizer executive admits that its Covid vaccine was not tested for its ability to prevent transmission before hitting the market. The Public Order Emergency Commission is well underway and so far nothing has been brought forward proving the government needed to use the Emergencies Act… but that hasn’t stopped the legacy media from having the worst takes possible. Lastly, Pierre Poilievre is in the news again… this time because he doesn’t want to attend a dinner party held by the Parliamentary Press Gallery. Yup, the same press gallery who never fail to spin his words or heckle him during pressers. It’s no wonder he doesn’t want to go. After Danielle Smith vowed to protect the rights of unvaccinated Albertans, journalists, politicians and academics slammed her as a "toddler", and as "racist". On this week's episode of Fake News Friday, Andrew Lawton and Harrison Faulkner dive into the very best of fake news in Canada this week. CTV News published a story earlier this week quoting a UN Climate official who said that the war in Ukraine is a "blessing" for climate. The Toronto District school board is cancelling halloween this year. It's very important not to trigger anyone with the word "halloween" given how awful it is. It’s Fake News Friday and once again the legacy media is hounding Pierre Poilievre more than they appear to be holding the government to account. Global News wrote an entire news story about Youtube tags used in Poilievre’s videos in an effort to make the case that Poilievre is appealing to “male supremacy” and “extremist” groups. Not to be outdone, the National Observer wants Canadians to know that when Conservatives “stand with farmers” over Trudeau’s fertilizer reduction scheme, Conservatives and even True North are actually just pushing disinformation. The CBC has once again given Canadians something none of us asked for – a new program called Lido TV focused on colonialism, racism and privilege. At first glance, it appears to be a children’s show, but apparently the producers at the CBC think a talking tomato discussing colonialism will appeal to Canadian adults. To wrap up the show, the once-funny CBC program ‘This Hour has 22 Minutes’ announced that for the show’s 30th season they will be addressing racism and inflation. How exciting!

Surfs up, dudes! It’s National Day of Truth and Reconciliation Day! To commemorate this special day, several “Indigiqueer” artists have decided to perform drag shows for reconciliation. Yep, you read that right. Plus, this week, legacy media journalists rushed to defend Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s planned payroll tax, claiming that it isn’t really a tax even though it really looks like a tax. It’s a retirement savings plan, apparently. And what do the Iran protests, Quebec’s Bill 21 and the election of Italy’s Georgia Meloni have in common? They’re all examples of oppressive patriarchy according to one Star columnist. …What? Lastly, we’re being accused of being “far right” again. The legacy media’s knives are out for Pierre Poilievre since winning the Conservative leadership race less than one week ago. From heckling the Carleton MP during his first presser to criticizing his move into the official residence of the Leader of the Offical Opposition, it’s clear Poilievre Derangement Syndrome is back with a vengeance! This week on Fake News Friday, Andrew Lawton and Harrison Faulkner look into the legacy media’s most ridiculous takes on Poilievre’s win and their rush to defend Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. Also on the show, the legacy media rallies behind the need for King Charles II (not III) to address colonialism and reparations. It’s Fake News Friday with Andrew Lawton and Harrison Faulkner! This week, the CBC attempted to debunk the “conspiracy theory” that a London facility was producing crickets for human consumption. Unfortunately for the state broadcaster, the facility’s developers acknowledge that crickets are in fact being made for humans. Whoops –another failed attempt by the CBC to debunk a “conspiracy theory.” Next up on the cancellation block is – surprise, surprise – Winston Churchill. According to an op-ed in the CBC, the leader who defeated the rise of fascism in Europe has “outdated views” and should no longer be commemorated as per the standards of 2022. Lastly, news that really matters to Canadians – do Nanaimo bars have flour in them? This week, Conservative leadership candidate Pierre Poilievre was blasted for promoting the story of a baker who’s expenses for flour, eggs and butter has risen due to inflation, making it harder to bake Canada’s national treat: Nanaimo bars. On this week’s episode of Fake News Friday, Harrison Faulkner and Rupa Subramanya look at Global News’ deep-dive into the alleged threat of the “far right” in Canada. Their journalisming revealed that everybody is “far right” apparently. From a single photograph between Pierre Poilievre and a controversial podcaster, Global News has concluded that Poilievre is actually a far-right politician in disguise. Not only that, but Global News claims that podcasters are “dangerous sources of misinformation” and are apparently a threat to democracy. On a sillier note, Wendy’s is siding with Lisa LaFlamme. It’s Fake News Friday! This week, True North’s Harrison Faulkner hosts the show and is joined by Rupa Subramanya! This week, instead of reporting on news that matters to Canadians, so-called journalists in the legacy media made themselves the centre of attention. The Canadian Association of Journalists (CAJ) released a list a of demands to the police after allegedly receiving online threats. Threats are of course unacceptable, but where was the outrage from the CAJ when independent journalists were being assaulted by police during the Freedom Convoy? Why isn’t the CAJ up in arms about the fact that two-sitting elected officials attacked Rupa for uncovering the government’s political vaccine mandates? After a month of criss-crossing the country for photo opportunities while simultaneously increasing his carbon footprint, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced that he is taking a two-week vacation in Costa Rica. This is of course a legitimate news story, but according to some in the legacy media, we should just leave Trudeau alone and let him deserve his “well-deserved” break.
Plus, the legacy media continues to ignore a bombshell story by True North’s Rupa Subramanya, which revealed that the Trudeau government’s travel mandates were based on politics, not science.
The CBC published an op-ed, arguing that electric vehicles are not enough to address climate change. We will now have to get rid of cars altogether. When will the climate madness end?

This week, the Trudeau government and the legacy media were up in arms about a flag being draped over the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, calling it an act of “desecration.” Where was the outrage when statues of Sir John A Macdonald and Queen Victoria were toppled and vandalized by radical activists?
Plus, remember that time when the Freedom Convoy protested Pope Francis when he was in Canada? Us neither. Although the media claimed it was going to happen, it never actually happened in reality. That’s literally fake news!

In Canada, travellers on commercial trains are still required by law to wear a mask at all times. However, if you’re the prime minister participating in a photo-op on a train, no mask is needed. Does that make sense to you?
Probably not but as Canadians have been told since the start of the pandemic – trust Trudeau’s ever-changing Covid science! Plus, Joe Rogan blasts Trudeau, calling him a “creepy dictator” and of course, the Tru-Anon gang comes to the defence of Canada’s prime minister. The state broadcaster gives Canadians some timely financial advice as inflation hits a record-high 8.1% – just ask for a raise or get a better job. Stop being poor, obviously.

It’s Fake News Friday on the Candice Malcolm Show! This week, Candice and Harrison Faulkner discuss why Canadians no longer have trust in our national institutions and why the blame should be put on the institutions and the legacy media – despite their best attempts to convince you otherwise. The legacy media and other government institutions have failed to hold government to account and failed to serve the interests of Canadians. Also on the show this week, some MPs are too afraid to walk outside because of mean tweets – so much so that they are now requesting “panic buttons” to be able to alert local authorities to come to their aid if they feel they are in danger. Why didn’t MPs need “panic buttons” after a terrorist stormed parliament? Why have our politicians become so meek and mild? Finally, a CBC op-ed writer whines about the fact that men can no longer compete in women’s swimming competitions and believes that Canada is “excluding” men from competing against women in sports. The majority of Canadians did not vote for Justin Trudeau in the last election. In fact, the Liberals won with the smallest share of the vote in Canadian history. It’s clear many Canadians do not approve of Trudeau running the country – this means the next Conservative leader has a very good chance of beating Trudeau in the next election. However, the same was said during the last three elections. Conservatives have come very close in every election since 2015 but have fallen short in dethroning Trudeau. What’s the path to victory for the Conservatives? In recent weeks, we’ve started hearing the same failed strategy from the failed backrooms of the party. They argue that the party should become more like the Liberals and NDP – embrace leftist progressive ideologies in order to win. They think the Conservatives should be fiscally prudent and socially woke. These strategists are wrong. We just need to look at how poorly Erin O’Toole performed in the last election to see that this strategy did not work. On this episode of The Candice Malcolm Show, Candice is joined by pollster Hamish Marshall to discuss why the Red Tory/Blue Liberal strategy just doesn’t work, why O’Toole failed despite his best attempts to woo leftist voters and what the next Conservative leader needs to do in order to win.

It’s Fake News Friday on The Candice Malcolm Show! Guest host Andrew Lawton and True North producer Harrison Faulkner discuss this week’s most egregious examples of fake news in the legacy media. By now, most Canadians know the Trudeau government relied on the CBC’s misleading reports to justify invoking the Emergencies Act to quash the Freedom Convoy. This week, during the committee on the Emergencies Act, Conservative MP Larry Brock grilled Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland for relying on the CBC’s fake news but Freeland repeatedly refused to answer questions. This exchange went viral, but instead of apologizing for misleading Canadians – the CBC published an editorial and stood by its faulty journalism. Plus, Heritage Minister Pablo Rodriguez repeats the Trudeau government’s mantra – “Everyone who disagrees with me is pushing misinformation!” As the government rushes its online censorship bill through committee without debate, Rodriguez claims Conservatives are pushing misinformation about Bill C-11 – despite the fact that the CRTC confirmed the online censorship bill gives the government the power to regulate user-generated content. And as more Canadians tune into independent media outlets like True North, trust in the legacy media is at an all-time low. Instead of criticizing the legacy media for its out-of-touch journalism, Justin Trudeau’s former top advisor Gerald Butts relies on a Twitter thread by an unhinged leftist activist and attacks True North. Tune into Fake News Friday! We’ll be discussing these stories and much more!

Every day in the news, Canadians see reminders of the fraying and social decay of our civil society. Unfortunately, our leaders in government are drawing all the wrong conclusions.
Today on The Candice Malcolm Show, we discuss an issue that represents this social decay in Canadian society – death, suicide and our government’s role in not just facilitating, but expanding and advocating for euthanasia.
Canada is among a handful of countries in the world to offer euthanasia services, and now – after 2 years of the Covid-19 pandemic which has resulted in a growing mental health crisis – the Trudeau government wants to expand doctor-assisted suicide to those suffering from mental health conditions.
Joining Candice on the show today is Angelina Ireland, the president of the board of the Delta Hospice Society (DHS), a non-profit organization that promotes life-affirming palliative care. In 2020, the DHS refused to offer doctor-assisted suicide despite the BC health authority making the practice mandatory at all publicly funded hospice centers. The BC government eventually pulled DHS’ funding and seized the Irene Thomas Hospice and the Harold and Veronica Savage Centre for Supportive Care where the DHS had been operating since 1991.
Angelina has been an outspoken advocate against doctor-assisted suicide and is a defender of natural end-of-life values. She joins The Candice Malcolm Show to discuss the DHS’ tumultuous fight against the BC government, why she’s personally opposed to euthanasia and why this issue should matter to all Canadians.

The legacy media hasn’t stopped criticizing Pierre Poilievre’s promise to fire the Governor of the Bank of Canada. Even one of Poilievre’s own caucus colleagues, Ed Fast, jumped on the media bandwagon to criticize his comments. But is Pierre Poilievre right about the Bank of Canada?Turns out, even the Bank of Canada admits that their policies have led to inflation and economic instability — the heart of Poilievre’s critiques.Without skipping a beat or acknowledging they were wrong about inflation, the media has pivoted its critiques to the broader Conservative Party. The media is now questioning the party’s membership numbers and criticizing the leadership candidates for even reporting their own numbers.Dr. Ian Brodie, the chair of the Leadership Election Organizing Committee and former Chief of Staff to Stephen Harper, joins Candice on the show today. When the Trudeau government invoked the Emergencies Act to quash the peaceful Freedom Convoy, they made a number of wild claims to rationalize its use of the never-before-used act. Since then, Trudeau’s narrative about why the government needed these unprecedented powers has crumbled – the convoy was not funded by foreign donors or terrorists, the protesters had nothing to do with the arson attempt in Ottawa and to this date – not a single police force has confirmed the government’s claim that the police requested the government to invoke the act. This week, Public Safety Minister Marco Mendicino’s deputy minister says Mendicino was “misunderstood” when he repeatedly said law enforcement requested the government’s invocation of the Emergencies Act. Fortunately for the Trudeau government, they can count on the legacy media to cover for them. Plus, Poilievre Derangement Syndrome reaches a new level as the Poilievre campaign announced it signed up over 300,000 members. Unsurprisingly, the legacy media is not covering this news in the same celebratory way they covered Trudeau’s leadership run in 2013. Further, the Treasury Board of Canada wants you to use proper pronouns when composing emails . Forget about out-of-control government spending or the inflation crisis – this is the top priority for the government! Plus, some exciting developments from True North as we launched two new podcasts this week AND some personal news from Candice Malcolm! It’s Fake News Friday on The Candice Malcolm Show! The membership cutoff for the Conservative leadership race came and went last Friday, and the numbers are staggering.
The party has announced that over 600,000 Canadians are now members of the party and eligible to vote in the upcoming leadership race in September. Front-runner Pierre Poilievre’s campaign claims that over half of those – 311,958 – were purchased on his campaign website.
These numbers are unprecedented in Canadian history.
For comparison, 174,404 Canadians voted in the 2020 CPC leadership race.
In the 2017 CPC leadership race, 141,000 Canadians voted.
And, the last time the Liberals held a leadership race – in 2013 when they selected Justin Trudeau – 104,552 Canadians voted. At the time, the media were celebrating Trudeau’s ability to recruit members and giddily invoking “Trudeau-mania.”
On today’s episode of The Candice Malcolm Show, Candice is joined by pollster Hamish Marshall to break down the numbers, cut through the media spin and talk about how this is very, very bad news for the Liberal-NDP coalition government.

On June 6th, 1944, 14,000 Canadian soldiers would take part in one of Canada’s most impressive – and consequential – military operations – D-Day. Canadian soldiers from 4 regiments – the Queen’s Own Rifles in Toronto, The Royal Winnipeg Rifles of Manitoba, the North Shore Regiment from New Brunswick and the Regina Rifles from Saskatchewan – would form the 3rd Canadian Infantry Battalion tasked with securing Juno Beach in Normandy, France for the Allies. 359 Canadian men made the ultimate sacrifice in the fight for freedom on that day, and many more Canadians would die in battle in the following months of intense fighting.
One man managed to survive it all — Mr. Jim Parks of the Royal Winnipeg Rifles. Mr. Jim Parks was part of the very first wave of Canadians to land on Juno Beach, having had to swim ashore without a rifle after his landing vehicle exploded. Parks and his fellow soldiers would successfully take Juno Beach and push the Germans back through Normandy having to face multiple waves of German counterattacks. Parks would play a key role in the liberation of the Netherlands and eventually find himself in Germany, having successfully pushed the Germans back all the way from the Western coast of France into total defeat by the war’s end.
On this special episode of The Candice Malcolm Show, Jim Parks – a true Canadian hero – tells his story.
Jim discusses what it was like to land on Juno Beach, the details of the fighting that would ensue after the landings and what it was like to return home and settle down into normal life. Jim ends the podcast with a special message to young Canadians.

The legacy media has a double standard when it comes to covering protests in Canada. According to the media, protesters on the political right are “angry and racist” but protesters on the left are righteous and worthy of interviews. Plus, a Liberal MP delivers a speech in the House of Commons celebrating “vaginas and vulvas,” but doesn’t say “woman” once in her entire grotesque speech. But this isn’t the first time the Trudeau government has failed to define what a woman is. And amid alarming stats that Canada’s fertility rate is declining, the legacy media celebrates and claims “it’s better for the society and the planet.” It’s Fake News Friday on The Candice Malcolm Show! Trudeau began the week by imposing a sweeping ban on handguns in Canada, which specifically targets law-abiding firearms owners. Finally, Trudeau extended Covid travel restrictions and refuses to acknowledge that the pandemic is over. They also discuss whether decriminalization of hard drugs is the right approach to combat the drug crisis in Canada.

Over the past two years, Canadians have suffered through some of the strictest lockdowns in North America. While some restrictions have been lifted, many Canadians are trapped in Covid purgatory. Unvaccinated Canadians aren’t able to board a plane or a train, many have lost their livelihood and the federal government refuses to lift travel mandates that have caused chaos at Canada’s airports. While Canadians continue to feel the chilling effects of heavy-handed government measures, the elites remain maddeningly out of touch with the concerns and anxieties of Canadians. How did we get here? What can be done to rebuild our civil society? On today’s episode of The Candice Malcolm show, Candice is joined by Dr. Matt Strauss, the acting Medical Officer of Health for the Haldimand-Norfolk region in Ontario. Candice and Dr. Strauss discuss the unreported stories of the pandemic in Canada, the unintended consequences of the government’s lockdowns and pushing back against the lockdown authoritarians.

It’s been one year since the Kamloops Indian Band made a shocking allegation — that it had “discovered” 215 unmarked graves that belong to children who had attended the local residential school. This allegation set off a whirlwind of events: exaggerated headlines, erroneous claims of mass graves, accusations of genocide, international shame and contrition, more discoveries from other bands, genuine remorse and sadness from all Canadians and eager progressives competing over who could use the most hyperbolic anti-Canadian rhetoric.
But is any of this true? Has any of the claims been verified, corroborated or confirmed?
On today’s episode of the Candice Malcolm Show, Candice is joined by professor Tom Flanagan who has been diligently researching this topic for much of his career. His recent research is in direct conflict with the media narrative, and he maintains his position that the story of the unmarked graves is “the greatest fake news story in Canadian history.”
Dr. Flanagan breaks down all the facts of the case, explains everything we know about the school — including the fact that most of the teachers were First Nations — and discusses how this narrative got so removed from the truth. You won’t see a conversation like this anywhere else in the Canadian media.

The Trudeau Liberals invented a news story that “racist slurs” were being hurled at attendees of a Trudeau fundraiser in Surrey, BC. Unsurprisingly, the legacy media immediately ran the story. There was only one problem – it was never true. Countless legacy media outlets had to backtrack and change their news stories after being called out for fake news. Plus, it’s been one year since the apparent discovery of unmarked graves found near residential schools and the story still hasn’t been verified. But that hasn’t stopped leftist activists and politicians from continuing to falsely accuse Canada of committing “genocide.” And in the wake of a horrific mass shootings in the US, the left in Canada is exploiting tragedies and importing US culture wars for their own benefit. Conservative Party members had their last chance to watch the leadership candidates debate each other, as they gathered on Wednesday night in Laval, Quebec. Unfortunately, many Canadians didn’t bother tuning in because it was in French. Despite the fact that half the candidates aren’t fluent in French and that Quebeckers traditionally don’t vote for Conservatives, the party went forward with this spectacle and continues to give equal weight to French and English languages. On this episode of The Candice Malcolm Show, Candice goes over the highlights of the French debate, debunks the idea that a Conservative leader has to be bilingual and argues that the idea of a separate French debate is a huge disservice to Canadians.

World leaders, CEO’s and the global elite are in Davos, Switzerland to lecture others on how to live their lives. Panellists at the World Economic Forum (WEF) are discussing a wide-range of issues, including how to fight climate change, promoting equity and other leftist causes.
There have been a lot of discussion about the WEF in recent weeks, including its impact on Canada. But rather than take the concerns of Canadians seriously, the legacy media has characterized any criticism of the WEF as a conspiracy theory – including Conservative leadership candidate Pierre Poilievre. Over the weekend, Poilievre told his supporters that he would ban cabinet ministers from attending the WEF. Journalists in the legacy media immediately descended on Poilievre and accused him of pushing conspiracy theories.
What’s really going on at the WEF? What are the conspiracy theories and what are the facts?

“Poilievre derangement syndrome” has taken hold of legacy media reporters this week, as they attempted to tie Poilievre’s support of the Freedom Convoy to the horrific Buffalo shooting. Poilievre’s rivals, Patrick Brown and Jean Charest, couldn’t help but pile on. The Brown campaign even went as far as to alert all Conservative members that a “high-profile” Poilievre supporter used “alarming language” that closely resembles the idiotic “white replacement theory.”
But it doesn’t stop there. The legacy media also attacked Poilievre over holding and publicly disclosing his cryptocurrency assets while promoting the benefits of decentralized currency during his campaign. The problem for the legacy media is that not only was it not a secret that Poilievre held crypto assets, it is entirely legal and there are actually more Liberal MPs that disclosed crypto assets than Conservatives.
Plus, the format of the Conservative Leadership Debate continues to make headlines but for all the wrong reasons. This week, a Globe and Mail columnist complained that the candidates do not consume Canadian arts and culture. Have you ever watched Canadian TV shows such as “Call My Agent!” or “Orphan Black”? Don’t fret – nobody has.
Candice and True North producer Harrison Faulkner discuss these stories and more.

Jason Kenney has stepped down as leader of the United Conservative Party and announced his intention to step down as Premier of Alberta after an incredibly close leadership review vote. Kenney technically won the vote: 51% of members voted to keep him in place as leader and Premier. But Kenney knew that wasn’t enough support and that his personal unpopularity was dragging down the party. He did the honourable thing, and resigned to make way for a new leader. On today’s episode of the Candice Malcolm Show, Candice breaks down the details of how Kenney lost control of his own party, provides analysis of the four major reasons why Kenney lost, and discusses how this is bad news for Alberta and the conservative movement across Canada.

Life in Canada is more expensive than ever – inflation is at a 31-year high, gas prices are out of control and the cost of goods and services continues to increase. As it looks more likely Canada is heading into a recession, it doesn’t seem like our politicians care as they continue to spend on frivolous and expensive programs and refuse to reduce spending or taxes.
On this episode of the Candice Malcolm Show, Candice is joined by Michael Campbell, the host of Mike’s Money Talks podcast to discuss Canada’s precarious economic situation.
Candice and Mike discuss the root causes of Canada’s sky-high prices, the fact that almost half of Canadians are $200 away from insolvency and what Canadians can do to hunker down and make smart financial decisions.

Politicians and pundits are all talking about cryptocurrency — some are calling it “magic internet money” and alleging that it’s a risky investment. Meanwhile others, such as Conservative leadership candidate Pierre Poilievre, claim crypto will enable Canadians to “opt out of inflation.” Who’s telling the truth?
As the Canadian economy becomes more uncertain, Canadians want to know what the future holds for decentralized digital currencies.
On this episode of the Candice Malcolm Show, Candice is joined by Matt Spoke, the founder and CEO of Moves, a financial app for gig workers.
Candice and Matt discuss the future of cryptocurrencies in Canada, the ongoing debate among conservatives surrounding the value of Bitcoin and why governments around the world are planning to create their own digital currencies.

It’s Fake News Friday on The Candice Malcolm Show! This week, Canadians tuned into the Conservative Party’s boring and uneventful leadership debate. We don’t blame you if you tuned out of the debate, but you may have missed the media scrum with candidates after the debate, in which independent media journalists ran circles around so-called reporters from the legacy media. While the legacy media pushed their favourite pet cause – climate change – independent media asked candidates thorough questions to help Canadians get a better understanding of the candidates.Plus, Candice dissects a Canadian Press article about Bill C-69 getting stuck down by an Alberta court and shows you everything wrong with the legacy media’s fake news. And of course, the CBC publishes more awful op-eds to push their far-left world view. Candice and True North producer Harrison Faulkner discuss these stories and more.

On Wednesday night, Conservative Party members had another opportunity to hear from leadership candidates and their vision for Canada. Unfortunately, the format of the debate resulted in a boring and largely uneventful and many disappointed viewers. Not only were simplistic and uninspiring questions about the candidates’ favourite books and TV shows asked, the perceived frontrunner Pierre Poilievre was forced to remain silent for nearly half of the debate. Further, candidates were given very short time periods to provide answers to complex issues. There were no winners in last night’s debate, only losers — thanks to the Conservative Party. On this episode of the Candice Malcolm Show, Candice reacts to the disappointing debate, the format chosen by the party and the media’s unanimous disapproval.

It’s Fake News Friday on The Candice Malcolm Show, coming to you from the fake news capital of Canada! With Roe v. Wade set to be overturned in the US, the Liberals and the legacy media jumped at the opportunity to use the issue of abortion to demonize conservatives and virtue-signal – despite the fact that there are no abortion laws in Canada. Plus, the Trudeau government celebrates World Press Freedom Day and touts the importance of an independent press. Meanwhile, the government continues to subsidize legacy media outlets and attempts to silence independent media in Canada. The Trudeau government has approved a massive oil project in Eastern Canada, while at the same time, blocking energy projects in Western Canada. Meanwhile, Quebec has become the first jurisdiction in the world to end all oil and gas exploration – but of course, they’ll still benefit billions from Canada’s equalization program courtesy of the West. On this episode of The Candice Malcolm Show, Candice is joined by seasoned entrepreneur Michael Binnion. Michael is the President and founding shareholder of Questerre Energy, a public oil and gas production company operating in Quebec. He is also the Executive Director of the Modern Miracle Network, whose mission is to encourage Canadians to have reasoned conversations about energy issues. Candice and Michael discuss Quebec’s controversial decision to ban oil and gas, the Trudeau government’s anti-Western Canadian bias and what the oil and gas sector is doing to lower emissions and much more.

While the Trudeau government attempts to use Roe V Wade to virtue signal and achieve cheap political points in Canada, a real conversation about family policy is desperately needed. Canada’s birth rate is declining at a concerning rate because fewer families are having kids. Ginny Roth, the Vice President at Crestview Strategy, believes this is an opportunity for Conservatives to step up. Ginny argues that the Liberal approach has failed and that “a conservative feminism should drop labour-force participation as the only measure of gender equality.” On this episode of The Candice Malcolm Show, Candice and Ginny discuss the Trudeau government’s $10/day child care agreement, how the Liberals are portraying the program as “women’s liberation” and what a Conservative family policy might look like.

The COVID-19 pandemic exposed the frailty of Canada’s government-run healthcare system and the lack of leadership in Canada.
Canada’s healthcare system didn’t have the capacity, the flexibility, the innovation or the robustness to handle a novel virus that disproportionately impacted the very old, the very weak and the very sick. Meanwhile, Canadians witnessed a colossal failure in leadership across the board – politics, government, media, business and even academia.
Dr. Julie Ponesse joins The Candice Malcolm Show to discuss Canada’s totalitarian approach to the pandemic. Dr. Ponesse recently walked away from her academic career after refusing to comply with Western University’s vaccine mandate. She says we are “living through a pandemic of coercion and compliance.”

Peckford served as the Progressive Conservative Premier of Newfoundland from 1979 to 1989. He is the last living signatory of the Charter of Rights and Freedoms. While many Liberals unabashedly celebrated the 40th anniversary of the signing of the Charter of Rights and Freedoms last week, many Canadians were left wondering: if the Charter couldn’t protect our freedoms during Covid, then what good is it?

Candice and John discuss the purpose of the Charter, its history and its many shortfalls. It’s Fake News Friday on the Candice Malcolm Show! Candice looks at the latest developing fake news story line in the legacy media, which is that Pierre Poilievre must be racist because he appeals to too many “white people.” Rather than critiquing conservatives on substance, lazy journalists would much rather simply hurl insults because apparently having “white people” at your rally is a bad thing. One substantive critique of Poilievre did come from the CBC – where “experts say” that contrary to Poilievre’s critique of government borrowing and printing of money, the real cause of inflation has little to do with government. “Government spending is one of many factors pushing prices up — but it’s a relatively modest one,” said one left-wing economist defending Trudeau. “It really doesn’t matter what Canada’s government spends,” said another. You can’t make this stuff up. Another CBC article goes even further in defending the Trudeau government, telling us that the “pick-up truck tax doesn’t exist” – this despite the tax being listed in a government report released by Trudeau’s Environment Minister. The CBC may not understand basic math, economics, civics or how laws are passed, but they do understand where their bread is buttered: they exist for the sole purpose of defending Justin Trudeau.

Buried deep in a Trudeau government report released last month was a proposal to slap a new tax on pick-up trucks – by far the most popular vehicles in Canada. The recommendation attached to Environment Minister Steven Guilbeault’s climate change report called for a tax of anywhere between $1,000 and $4,000. On today’s episode of the Candice Malcolm Show, Candice is joined by the researcher who found this buried tax proposal and exposed it – Kris Sims of the Canadian Taxpayers Federation (CTF). Remarkably, after Sims broke the story, Guilbeault went on the attack and called her factual news report “disinformation” and “fake news.” This is the same minister who first drafted Bills C-10 and C-36 that seek to censor and ban so-called disinformation. The Trudeau government’s loyal CBC stenographer Aaron Wherry was quick to repeat Guilbeault’s talking points in an article that accuses Sims and the CTF of criticizing a “Truck Tax that doesn’t exist.” Candice and Kris talk about the bizarre world of federal politics where Trudeau government officials deny facts that are published in their own reports, where journalists hold government critics – rather than government officials – to account, the growing cultural divide between the laptop class and the working class, and the brewing culture war over pick-up trucks.

This year, Canadians saw Trudeau introduce $56 billion in new spending, with an annual deficit of $52 billion and total debt reaching $1.2 trillion – or about $31,000 for every man, woman and child in Canada.
Without a hint of irony, Trudeau’s loyal band of government-funded journalists told Canadians this budget was “modest”, “prudent” and even “conservative.”

True North is pleased to welcome our newest journalist and contributor Sam Sey!
Today on the Candice Malcolm Show, Candice welcomes Samuel to the podcast and to True North. Sameul is a scholar and writer living in the GTA who focuses on critiquing and exposing Critical Race Theory and so-called anti-racism.
Anti-racism sounds innocuous, but, as Sam explains, it is a racist and pernicious force that insists that race and group identity matter more than a person’s character or abilities. It seeks to divide our society and promotes hate and resentment rather than cohesion and pluralism.
Anti-racists advocate in favour of racist discrimination, and go so far as to accuse Civil Rights champions like Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. of being “white supremacists.”
Canadians need to learn the facts about Critical Race Theory so we can stop it from seeping into our education system and prevent awful bills, like Bill 67 in Ontario, from being passed into law.

Today on the Candice Malcolm Show, Candice is joined by journalist and columnist Barbara Kay to discuss Ontario’s Bill 67 – which seeks to steep the education system in a radical leftist ideology. Bill 67 focuses on Critical Race Theory, contending that Canada is a white supremacist society and the only way to make things more fair is through so called “anti-racist” discrimination. According to Barbara, this explicitly racist ideology will punish and divide all students while fomenting hate and resentment amongst various groups. The worst part of all is that this bill was introduced by Doug Ford’s Conservative government and even originally endorsed by an independent conservative MPP. This demonstrates the broader problem – that the bill is a wolf in sheep’s clothing. It sounds innocuous and reasonable, but the opposite is true. Canadians need to pay more attention and get more involved to ensure that racist divisions aren’t imposed into our schools. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau used to talk a good game about protecting the Charter Rights of all Canadians – even when it’s unpopular. He threw those values out the window during Covid, when he suspended many charter rights and regularly scapegoated and dehumanized the unvaccinated. There’s a new category of people who have been “de-personed” in our society: Russians. Today on the Candice Malcolm Show, Candice is joined by National Post columnist Rupa Subramanya to discuss the recent attacks against Russians in the West and in some cases the lifting of their basic rights and protections. They also discuss the media climate where politicians like Trudeau and his deputy PM Chrystia Freeland face next to no scrutiny from the legacy media. Why don’t journalists question Freeland’s political activism in Ukraine? Is her role with the left-wing World Economic Forum a conflict of interest? Instead of investigating and asking tough questions of our leaders, too many legacy media journalists play defence for our leaders. Candice and Rupa discuss the negative impact this has on our democracy.

The legacy media in Canada is every bit as dishonest and corrupted as you and I suspect. Last month when True North broke the story of Deputy PM Chrystia Freeland holding a Nazi banner at a Ukrainian rally in Toronto, a handful of legacy media reporters picked up our scoop.
Most wrote their stories according to Freelend’s Liberal spin – that Freeland had done nothing wrong, the any critics of the Liberals were spreading “Russian disinformation” and that True North’s journalists were to blame for writing this story.
So much for holding a powerful politician accountable for her reckless actions.
The legacy media didn’t even bother to point out the hypocrisy given that the Liberals accused the Conservatives of “standing with those who wave Swastikas” at the Trucker rally.
One rare and honest legacy media story came from iPolitics, who accurately recounted the events and blamed Freeland for her blunder.
Interestingly, a few hours later, iPolitics issued a “correction” and changed the tone of the story to reflect the legacy media groupthink. Blame should not be aimed at the powerful woman holding the Nazi banner, it should be aimed at those talking about it!
True North has learned that the “correction” was issued after interference from Freeland’s office – who “pressured” iPolitics to change the story.
The Liberals said “jump”, the legacy media ask “how high?”
This caused the reporter who wrote the original story, Rachel Emmanuel, to resign out of principle. She now writes for the independent outlet the Western Standard, and she wrote an opinion column describing the ordeal.
Today on the Candice Malcolm Show, Candice is joined by Rachel Emmanuel, who recounts the story and talks about the fundamental problems facing the media and why trust in journalists is at an all time low.

Modern leftist feminism is one of the most perverse and harmful forces in our society. It tells men that they are “toxic” and need to be more like women, meanwhile, it tells women to be liberated and act more like men.The result?
Both men and women – but especially women – are self-reportedly more miserable and less fulfilled than at any previous time, according to comprehensive meta data studies.
On today’s episode of the Candice Malcolm Show, Candice is joined by one of Canada’s leading public intellectuals, retired professor Janice Fiamengo.
They discuss the many, many problems with modern leftist feminism and discuss alternative advice and guidance for young people. They also talk about the strange phenomenon of women’s college swimming superstar Lia Thomas, who has shattered pool records this year. Lia, as you may know, has the distinct advantages of being a biological male. Dr. Fiamengo clearly explains how we got to this bizarre place in our society.

It’s a special LIVE edition of Fake News Friday on the Candice Malcolm Show! Candice is joined by True North journalist Harrison Faulkner to break down all the worst media spin and dishonesty of the week. They talk about how many legacy media journalists have turned on the Canadian flag – admitting that they feel triggered seeing it and that it now represents the Freedom Convoy (apparently that’s a bad thing). Meanwhile, many of these same journalists have no trouble rallying around Ukraine – changing their profiles and adding the Blue and Yellow flag to their Twitter bios. But, unfortunately for these journalists, we keep seeing more and more ties to neo-Nazi groups embedded inside the Ukrainian military.

For the past week Justin Trudeau and three of his senior cabinet ministers have been touring Europe, taking lots of photos and lecturing the world about “democratic values.” In the UK, Trudeau was met with massive protests and negative press. In Latvia he was oddly grinning ear-to-ear while standing next to Canada's military. And, in Germany, Trudeau told world leaders that in a democracy, people need to listen and have respect for those who hold "different political views." On this episode of The Candice Malcolm Show, Candice breaks down the unbelievable gaslighting and very worst moments of Trudeau's European photo-op tour.

The Trudeau government has stuffed the pockets of Canada's legacy media over the years by providing them with bailouts and other taxpayer handouts that have destroyed the objectivity and credibility of some of Canada's biggest media outlets. For Canadians to get a real understanding of what's happening, they have to look to outlets like True North or the foreign press. On today's live episode of The Candice Malcolm Show, Candice will discuss how Trudeau successfully bought the media and Candice will also be taking your questions.

So many Canadians were disheartened and dismayed by the doxxing and firing of donors who had financially supported the Trucker Convoy. Today on the Candice Malcolm Show, Candice is joined by a Conservative Member of Parliament trying to change that. Alberta MP Garnett Genuis introduced a private members bill last week to amend the Canadian Human Rights Act to protect Canadians from discrimination due to political beliefs or actions. The bill would create federal protections for those fired or harassed by their employers or the government for engaging in a political protest or donating to a political cause. They also discuss the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, and Garnett’s perspective as a member of Canada’s Parliamentary NATO Association.

Manning says the Trucker Convoy was a “legitimate, bottom-up political protest” and that the Trudeau government’s handling of it was “an extreme overreaction and a deliberate misinterpretation of what they were trying to do.” “There is rumbling in the federal Liberals already that Trudeau has to go,” said Manning in regards to his overall handling of Covid and unwillingness to adapt to the rapidly changing political environment.

It’s Fake News Friday on the Candice Malcolm Show, and Candice and True North journalist Harrison Faulkner break down the worst of the worst of biased media and pro-war propaganda. While the legacy media insist the situation is black and white, and that anyone saying anything skeptical of the news coverage or about any Ukrainian is a Putin-shill or pushing Russian KGB disinformation. We reject that idea. Two things can be true at the same time. Putin is an aggressor, a tyrant and a war criminal. Also. Ukraine has sketchy elements that shouldn’t be ignored and that Canada’s Deputy PM Chrystia Freeland shouldn’t support. The legacy media continues to show Canadians that they cannot be trusted to report the truth.

Just how far will the legacy media go to defend Chrystia Freeland and the Liberals? Freeland recently posted – and then deleted – a photo of herself at a Ukrainian rally in Toronto holding a black and red flag representative of a militant Neo-Nazi movement in Ukraine. The banner represents the Bandera movement – Bandera was a literal Nazi who helped carry out Hilter’s holocaust in Ukraine by murdering over 100,000 Jews and Poles. The legacy media didn’t cover Freeland’s colossal misstep – True North did. But now, three days later, multiple legacy media outlets finally got around to covering the story. But, get this: rather than holding Freeland accountable for this reckless move, instead these articles seek to hold True North accountable for the crime of reporting it. They smeared us as “unwittingly participating” in Russian disinformation. The lowest of the low was the National Post, once considered Canada’s last bastion of conservative thought in the legacy media. I kid you not, the National Post quoted some “expert” minimizing and whitewashing the concept of “blood and soil” – the most prominent and despicable Nazi slogan. You can’t make this stuff up. What a sad, pathetic new low for Canada’s bailout media.

On today’s episode of The Candice Malcolm Show, Candice cuts through the propaganda and does a deep dive on what’s really going on in Ukraine. A major part of Justin Trudeau’s appeal to progressive voters in Canada is his international reputation as a liberal golden boy. But Trudeau’s use of war-time measures to crack down a peaceful working class protest has shattered that image. It made him look weak, hypocritical, petty and mean. How can Trudeau lecture serial human-rights-abuses in countries like China and Iran when he used force and froze the bank accounts of political dissidents at home? Those countries are already mocking him and pointing out the double standard. On today’s episode of the Candice Malcolm Show, Candice is joined by lawyer and human rights activist Kaveh Shahrooz to discuss just how badly this damaged Trudeau’s reputation – abroad and at home.

It has been almost one week since the trucks left Ottawa and Justin Trudeau’s fake emergency concluded, but the media isn’t finished trying to smear the Canadians that peacefully protested Justin Trudeau’s mandates.
This week. the media highlighted anti-trucker voices to mislead Canadians into thinking the convoy was an “occupation,” journalists obsess over an outspoken character to smear the entire movement and legacy media elites call the protesters “anti-social yobs” and “half-wits.”
It’s Fake News Friday on the Candice Malcolm Show, and Candice is joined by True North producer Harrison Faulkner to discuss the worst examples on fake news this week.

There was never an emergency that warranted the use of the Emergencies Act. Trudeau just admitted that by revoking the order less than two days after it was approved. By the time he declared the “emergency”, the border blockages were already removed. By the time his government received approval to use the act by the House of Commons, the police had already cracked down and removed the peaceful protest. So what changed between Monday evening when the Act was passed and Wednesday afternoon when Trudeau revoked it? Nothing. Other than a new poll showing Canadians oppose Trudeau’s handling of the situation and nearly two-thirds of young Canadians side with the truckers. On today’s episode of the Candice Malcolm Show, Candice says that’s very bad news for Trudeau, and no amount of media spin will make it go away.

The Trudeau government used excessive force and violence to remove a group of peaceful and unarmed protesters in Ottawa. They created a No-Go Zone. Police explicitly told journalists to leave the area, and they threatened to arrest anyone found walking down the street in Ottawa. How is any of this legal? It isn’t. The Canadian Civil Liberties Association has condemned this behaviour, saying that: “time and time again, Canadian courts have ruled against exclusion zones and other limits on the press.” On today’s episode of the Candice Malcolm Show, Candice is joined by journalist Andrew Lawton who was on the ground reporting all weekend for True North and was himself the victim of police brutalization. They discuss what happened, what it means and what’s next.

Why did the Canadian government pass the Emergencies Act last night? There are no border closures, no road blockades, and thanks to a weekend of police brutality and excessive force, there are no protesters or trucks left in Ottawa. Trudeau passed the Emergencies Act to crush dissidence and punish his political foes. And the worst part is, the legacy media are giving him a free pass, parroting and pushing his propaganda and cheering him on. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has ordered the arrest of political dissidents, the freezing of their bank accounts and a complete shut down of downtown Ottawa to end a peaceful, non-violent protest. Why did Trudeau give himself the most drastic and sweeping powers available to a Canadian prime minister? What was his justification for weaponizing war-time measures against peaceful protesters? The short answer is because he hates the truckers. He is using the full power of the state to quash his political enemies. This set’s an incredibly dangerous precedent and marches Canada down a dark path. On today’s episode of the Candice Malcolm Show, Candice is joined by lawyer Ryan O’Connor to discuss what this means for Canada and our liberal democracy.

Why did Justin Trudeau invoke the Emergencies Act? Did the Trucker Convoy movement really warrant drastic and sweeping new federal powers? Ontario, Quebec, Manitoba and BC have all announced lockdown measures to curb the spread of Omicron. 2021 was a great year for our organization! We broke big stories, exposed corruption and abuse in the government, travelled around the country to tell different stories and interviewed the top newsmakers and elected officials in the conservative movement.
On top of all this, we massively expanded our audience and hired several new reporters, producers and contributors. At a time when the legacy media is failing, laying off journalists and begging the government for bailouts, True North is growing at a serious clip!
That’s because, unlike the legacy media, we’re willing to criticize the Trudeau Liberals, fight back against Woke insanity, expose excessive government overreach and tell the other side of the story – no matter how politically correct it may be.
It’s also because we have the best audience in Canada!
On today’s episode of The Candice Malcolm Show, Candice is joined by True North’s Andrew Lawton to discuss the high points of 2021 and give a preview of what’s in store for 2022.

They each chose their top news story, the biggest story the legacy media ignored, and the biggest fake news narrative of the year, and they discuss each one in-depth on this special episode.
The legacy media gets so many things wrong, it’s hard to pick the worst examples! Tune in to see if your choices match Candice’s and Andrew’s, and let us know in the comments if you agree.

Will Premier Jason Kenney survive a leadership review and lead the party into the next election? Or will he be ousted and replaced by Brian Jean, Danielle Smith or someone else?
And will the UCP split back into old rivalling factions – the corporatist and often-corrupt PCs versus the gaffe-prone and unelectable Wildrose?
Or will they remain united and strong in the face of an extremist left-wing NDP rival?

Here are the top ten worst moments, plus honourable mention to one gaffe-prone US politician.

On a special Christmas edition of The Candice Malcolm Show, Candice is joined by Rev. Majed El Shafie. Majed is a refugee who survived torture and persecution in Egypt because of his Christian faith. He now runs One Free World International, a Canadian human rights organization that saves persecuted Christians.
Christians remain the most persecuted religious group on the planet. So why do politicians like Justin Trudeau and the legacy media ignore their plight?
Majed has some choice words for our Prime Minister -- he says it’s time to ditch political correctness, stop pandering and start defending our values and helping people in need, regardless of their creed or faith.
We encourage all of our listeners and viewers to support Majid and the important work that he does. Learn more here: https://ofwi.org/

We’re living in post-modern, post-nationalist times. The secular value of the separation of church and state has been taken to an extreme in Canada -- and has led to the complete removal of religious symbols, concepts and festivities in the public square.
Why do Christians get criticized and denigrated, ignored and erased?
Can we completely erase Christianity from our modern society? Can we divorce our values, our norms, our morality from their Judeo-Christian roots? Should we? The political left enthusiastically says ‘yes,’ but there is also a growing appetite for learning more about the traditions, norms, values and attitudes that help build our modern day society.
For a special Christmas week edition to The Candice Malcolm Show, Candice is joined by Ray Pennings of Cardus to discuss the importance of Christmas and the value of Christianity in modern times.

When it comes to reporting on COVID in Canada, the legacy media are failing Canadians.
Journalists don’t report the facts, they only push a narrative – even if it means burying important facts. The result is that journalists sound like government propagandists and their reports look like vaccine infomercials.
Today on The Candice Malcolm Show, Candice is joined by Toronto Sun comment editor and columnist Anthony Furey to discuss the media groupthink when it comes to COVID.
Throughout the pandemic, Furey has been willing to go against the grain, report inconvenient facts and push back against media nonsense – and as a result, some legacy journalists have attacked him for it.

It often doesn’t feel like Conservative parties in Canada are very good at articulating, defending or preserving conservatives values and principles – things like limited government, freedom of speech, economic freedoms, religious freedoms and defending our way of life, our values and the rule of law.
Why does it always seem like the Conservatives are conceding rather than opposing, and embracing Leftism rather than fighting against it?
Today on The Candice Malcolm Show, Candice is joined by former Conservative Party Leader and Saskatchewan MP Andrew Scheer. They discuss the state of the conservative movement in Canada, the big tent conservative coalition and the important issues all conservatives can rally around.

Bill C-4, the ban on so-called Conversation Therapy, passed with the unanimous support of all parties in the House of Commons.
But it didn’t just ban therapy for children and adults confused about their sexual orientation – the bill also applies to children and adults suffering gender dysphoria and considering going through the irreversible medical procedure of transitioning genders.
On today’s episode of the Candice Malcolm Show, Candice is joined by sex neuroscientist Dr. Debra Soh. Soh says that Canada is going in the opposite direction of other Western liberal democracies who have mandated psychotherapy before transitioning and banned dangerous puberty-blocking drugs to those under 18.
She says that clinical therapy is essential for children suffering from gender dysphoria, and banning it is cruel and anti-science.

Thousands of Canadians have lost their jobs, their education, their livelihoods and their well-being as a result of vaccine mandates.
They’re the one group of Canadians that our politicians openly degenerate, demean and scapegoat. And the legacy media insists on vilifying them rather than telling their stories.
True North is different. Today on The Candice Malcolm Show, Candice is joined once again by a friend of the program, Samuel Sey.
Samuel has done a tremendous job telling the stories of the unvaccinated, and reporting on how heavy-handed vaccine policies have ruined so many lives.
He also points out, as few in the media or in politics do, that many unvaccinated are black and Indigenous Canadians – the same people the political left claims to be helping.

Critical Race Theory (CRT) teaches children to view everything through the lens of race and power. It teaches children that race is more important in their lives and to their future accomplishments than their own hard work, dedication, intelligence or character.
It’s the exact opposite of progress. And yet, the Left in Canada is embracing this racist nonsense faster than in the US – and with much less resistance.
On today’s episode of The Candice Malcolm Show, Candice is joined by independent writer and thinker Samuel Sey. Samuel is an expert on CRT – he’s been tracking and documenting this growing menace on his website www.SlowToWrite.com.
Samuel says it’s time for Canadian parents to wake up and push back against this divisive woke left-wing ideology before it’s too late.

All the major political parties in Canada used to talk a good game about protecting our ancient liberties.
The Liberals used to boast to frequently remind us that THEY are the party of the Charter, and they therefore guard it more fiercely than their political opponents. The Conservatives used to hold up freedom as their top moral value. Free markets, freedom of speech, religious freedoms – these used to be core conservative values. Even the NDP was once the party of civil liberties.
But in the era of all powerful public health officials and heavy-handed health edicts, champions of our rights and freedoms are few and far between. On today’s episode of The Candice Malcolm Show, Candice is joined by True North’s newest journalist, Dr. Harley Sims. They talk about the importance of being vigilant to protect our civil liberties and what Harley will be doing at True North.

CBC loves dividing Canadians up by our race and pitting us against one another. There were two glaring examples this week from CBC’s Being Black series.
First, they published a story about the words CBC would like banned from the English Language because they sound like other words that could be racist.
Second, they published a story about how great it is to work from home because Black employees don’t have to deal with “microaggressions” from well-meaning but racist Canadians.
If these are the worst examples of “racism” in Canada, then, as Candice Malcolm says, we’re doing just fine as a country!

If you listened to the legacy media, you would think the most pressing issue in the country is…medical exemptions and the vaccination status of Conservative MPs.
As the House of Commons finally reconvened this week and MPs came back to Ottawa, the legacy media were obsessively preoccupied with pestering CPC MPs about their vaccine status and the validity of medical exemptions.
Legacy media journalists repeated – verbatim – the partisan talking points of Liberal MPs.
So rather than asking substantive questions of the Liberals about an economic recovery, out-of-control spending, rapid inflation or the sky-rocketing cost of living, all we heard about was the invented “scandal” of CPC vaccination status.

Why do legacy media reports on this topic look like infomercials for pharmaceutical companies?
Today on the Candice Malcolm show, Candice exposes the biased legacy media and their unapologetic advocacy on behalf of vaccinating little kids.
What she presents may surprise you: including that only SIX children under the age of 14 have died from Covid over a two-year period.
Or, that the National Advisory Council on Immunization does not advocate for kids to be vaccinated. Contrary to what activists in politics and the media say, these scientists say, “it is not justified to vaccinate children only to benefit others.”

This may seem like a silly question.Of course we are, some may say. But if we pause for a moment and think about the erosions of our basic rights and freedoms during the pandemic, or think about the hateful attitude many hold for the unvaccinated — up to and including our Prime Minister — you may start to think that Canada doesn’t feel Canada anymore. Today on the Candice Malcolm Show, Candice is joined by Travis Smith. Smith is a professor at Concordia University and a political theorist who earned his PhD at Harvard, where he studied the politics of medicine. Conservative Leader Erin O’Toole is attempting to quash dissent and silence his critics by booting Senator Denise Batters out of caucus, in response to her petition calling on the party to hold an early leadership review. Whether it’s O’Toole’s flip-flop on the carbon tax or treatment of pro-life caucus members, O’Toole has alienated so many members of the Conservative base. It’s no wonder he doesn’t want a leadership review. Things are not looking good for the Conservative leader. Conservative leader Erin O’Toole and the elites running the party may be finally forced to face its base – and the Conservative base is not happy. This week, Conservative Senator Denise Batters launched a petition calling on Conservative members to review O’Toole’s leadership within the next six months, ahead of the party’s planned 2023 convention. According to Batters, O’Toole flip-flopped on core policies without input from members and caucus, and he lost the last election by every measure. In response, pro-O’Toole MPs and activists are desperately trying to defend the Conservative leader but are coming off incredibly weak and disingenuous. Candice Malcolm says if the Conservative base wants a leadership review, the base should have a leadership review. It turns out Canada sent the largest delegation to COP26 out of all G7 nations – including the host of the conference, the UK. The legacy media is trying to manufacture a scandal against the former Liberal PM.
Despite months of hysterical woke rhetoric from the legacy media and the far-left mob – declaring that Canada committed genocide and cancelling anyone who says otherwise – Chrétien dared to challenge this narrative on residential schools.
He defended his decisions, defended the philosophy behind the schools, and even defended his 1969 proposition to abolish Indian Affairs and eliminate Indian status altogether.
