This seminar provides church leaders with some basic orientation and skills for helping individuals and groups engage in evangelism across cultural, ethnic, and racial difference. Participants are given tools to deepen their self-awareness and to help guide church leaders in thinking about how to grow a faithful multiethnic witness.
Parenting as a church leader is filled with amazing opportunities and some unique challenges. We have to parent in a goldfish bowl, navigate the needs of our family and our churches, deal with confidentiality, the pressure of congregational expectations and more.
The good news is that church leadership is a context where our families can thrive, not simply survive. Based on years of research and the book "Parenting as a Church Leader", this seminar empowers parents in ministry leadership to help their children thrive at home, in church, and in their own connection with God. With foundational and practical approaches to parenting in ministry, this seminar will hopefully leave you feeling affirmed and more confident in your parenting for the long haul.
We live in an increasingly anxious society where lives often feel so overstretched and burdened with expectations. This seminar explores a Biblical understanding of anxiety and helps us in developing a practical Biblical resilience and resistance to anxiety by understanding that our minds can be an arena of conflict where many battles are won and lost.
In this seminar John Wright explores the topic of deliverance. He demystifies some of what being influenced by evil spirits might look like, how to discern whether someone is troubled spiritually, or in some other way, and practical tips on how to minister to someone needing deliverance.

How do we practice neighbour love and witness to gospel truth in this deeply contested cultural moment? How might a church community proactively engage in local and national political conversations, staying steeped in prayer and courageous in action?
In this seminar, we dive into 2 Kings 5 to explore the postures and practices of faithful cultural and political engagement.

Spiritual formation for leaders is framed in the pursuit of healthy leadership. Alexander first describes the importance of healthy leadership for integrity and longevity in fulfilling one's call under God. That has three constituent parts: spiritual formation, psycho-emotional healing, and personal growth. Alexander then focuses on spiritual formation: what that means; why it is critical for leaders; and how we 'do it'... with the heart motivation of learning to lead as Jesus would if he were you.
Leadership in God's Kingdom is leading like Jesus led, which implies intentional spiritual formation toward Christlikeness.
We know that leadership takes its toll on marriage. There's nothing like ministry to test and expose weaknesses in marriage. The goal is healthy marriage, not only for personal fulfilment, but for integrity and longevity in leadership. Healthy marriage energises ministry and leadership. Dysfunctional marriage comes out in forms of dysfunctional leadership.
Alexander & Gilli approach healthy marriage in leadership by defining love, the essence of the marriage bond in God. Then they unpack four stages of love in its development toward maturity in marriage. So, this seminar examines the four kinds of growth in life-long-love that matures us to love as God loves.

Jesus assured his followers that he would both equip and empower them to pray for the sick to be healed. BUT he also insisted that they would need to go and act on such assurance. It really is possible to be trained to pray for the sick and to see supernatural things happen in a delightfully natural way.

Closing Cause 2023, Ele spoke about how the Gospel gives us a cause to live for, and the Holy Spirit transforms us, empowers us and equips us to live out our calling. She shared some learnings and takeaways of life with Jesus, and commissioned a generation to go out and do the stuff in the power of the Holy Spirit.

His Kingdom comes when we take risks, step into the unknown and willingly say yes to Jesus.

Steve Nicholson opened The Cause to Live For 2023 by sharing how an encounter with the power of the Holy Spirit changed everything. From that moment he was willing to give up everything and take every risk in order to follow God. What are we willing to lay down to find the treasure?

As well as Harmony Smith, Jon Solway and Olu Meduoye, we were privileged to welcome Eddie Espinosa to this panel. Eddie is a Vineyard worship leader who worked with John Wimber in the early Vineyard churches in California and recorded worship songs through Vineyard Music Group.

Sharing stories from Asbury and our own nations here in the UK & Ireland, Debby Wright and Steve Nicholson share what they've been noticing in the under 25s - that there is a deep hunger in our young people and the Spirit is on the move. Laying down your life for God's Kingdom and his cause — the adventure of pioneering and church planting.
In the book of Acts, Luke describes the incredible story of the explosion and expansion of the early Church. The apostles are accused of 'filling the city of Jerusalem with the teaching of Jesus' and 'day after day, in the temple courts and from house to house, they never stopped teaching and proclaiming the good news'. Empowered by the Spirit, this small group of disciples turned a city upside down and began a movement leading to church after church being planted across region and beyond. Pioneering and church planting is at the core of our DNA as movement, training and planting new churches every year to turn villages, towns, and cities upside down with the God news of Jesus. Mike continues the multiplication conversation.

In the final session of the Vineyard National Gathering 2021, John & Debby shared stories of how God has been working throughout this pandemic and how Christians everywhere have stepped out to be Jesus’ hands and feet. As we look to the next leg of our race, they encouraged us to take our place, putting our hope in Jesus and having confidence that he will give us the strength that we need in order to advance his Kingdom.
"We all want to see God do something remarkable and beautiful in the world, but what if that must first be preceded by God doing something remarkable and beautiful in our own hearts?"
On the second evening of the Vineyard National Gathering 2021, Chuck unpacked three desires that he believes Jesus wants to place into our hearts; a longing to be with him, a hunger to obey him, and a desperation for our world to encounter him. He urges us to look up and see that we are in a moment of opportunity where the harvest is ripe and must be gathered in right now.
"We need to lean into the spirit of God and ask him to drop the scales from our eyes. It may feel like a valley before we reach the mountain top."
To open up day two of the Vineyard National Gathering 2021, Debby Wright interviewed Jo Saxton. Sharing from some of her own story, Jo talked about issues of race, gender, burnout and the importance of having a good community.
"Your call is not to succeed, it's to try. Faith is trying."
On day two of the Vineyard National Gathering 2021, Jordan Seng spoke on 'the life of try'. He encouraged us that if we want to see the Kingdom come on earth then we must build a culture of trying in our churches; we must step out even at the risk of failing.
"We are not called to make converts, church members, or 'good, pure, Vineyard Christians'. We are called to make apprentices of Jesus; people who intensely and passionately pursue Christlikeness to become just like the King in his Kingdom."
Speaking on The Great Commission found in Matthew 28, Alexander urged us - during this pandemic - to stop and renew our sense of vision and commission that Jesus has given us as his followers. That we must see him rightly, worship and adore him, be baptised in his spirit and go and make apprentices of the King, in his Kingdom.

On the final morning of the Vineyard National Gathering 2021, Jo Saxton addressed those who are experiencing, or feel on the verge of, burnout. Using the story of how God attended to Elijah, she reminds us that God cares for our physical, mental and relational needs, and encourages us that we cannot and should not do this journey alone.
"It's time, perhaps as never before in any of our lifetimes, to ascend the hill of the Lord. It is time to climb."

Are we all entrepreneurs? Mark shares how we can easily create barriers for ourselves as we don't look like the "typical" entrepreneur, but reminds us that we have all been made in the image of the number one entrepreneur, God. To step into entrepreneurialism we must first recognise that we are image-bearers of God and then steward what he's put in our hands to see our ideas come to pass.

Paul & Steph Lowe from Manchester Vineyard closed The Cause to Live For 2018, reminding us that there is no other name; that this life and everything in it should be about Jesus and Jesus alone.
They challenged us to not only declare it but live out the reality that we are to spend our lives passionately extending his Kingdom together, everywhere, in every way.
On the second morning of The Cause to Live For 2018, Simon Ponsonby, from St. Aldate's Church, spoke on the fear of the Lord. He said that if we’re to see a real revival then we’ve got to have a renewal of our understanding of God and the relationship we have with him.
The fear of the Lord is not the same thing as being afraid of the Lord. It is to convey the sense of awe, wonder and delight, and loving your beloved so much that you’d be afraid to hurt him.
On the first night of The Cause to Live For 2018, Paul Cruchley from Vineyard Church Cardiff spoke on truth and lies. He opened by saying that one of this generation's greatest battles is the battle between truth and lies. He shared the implications of living in a post-truth world, where all truth can be subjective, and how we must be a generation who stands firm to the truth.
"The danger for our generation is that Jesus becomes just another option on the menu of truth where we think that all of the meals are good for us."
In this short insight, Jon Tyson explains the process of training leaders that his church uses, and gives us some helpful advice.
