Gin brings a no fuss three-hour package of next level, genre-free tunes to the bFM spaceship. Broadcast from Auckland, New Zealand on Tuesdays from 1pm.
We kicked off with the playful Slim Levy, a couple from the brilliant new Alek Lee album and some wonky goodness from Metal Sound! From the One To Four vault we played some Arthur Russell and Soul Family Sensation, some more recent heat from Alewya, Bella-Monae & Machine Baby and rounded out with
Roberto Lodola and Lady Shaka. Plenty more where they all came from... Thanks to the Claddagh Irish Pub and Garden Bar!
We float in enveloped by the aural warmth of ALIA, Rizomagic and Hanson St. Dub before taking a detour via Think of One and Conjunto Media Luna ft Turbo Sonidero, both from the brilliant Global Riddims presents: Beyond the Algorithm Volume 1 compilation. Plenty more new tunes and old faves, as is our chosen remit. Thanks to the Claddagh Irish Pub and Garden Bar!
unkle G loves to ride his bike to the studio, which is what a mid-Winter scorcher like today demanded! Another of his monikers featured in the form of Gavsborg & ItA. Two of my 2026 faves, Alewya and Esaïa, led us through the first set before Surf Friends took us outside to Princess Chelsea's Forest. Thanks to the Claddagh Irish Pub and Garden Bar!
We ease in with Alek Lee, Barry Briggs and Olodum before getting wavy with Devon Rexi & John T. Gast, Noda & Wolders and Girls Chat Room. Locals get repped by the likes of LEAO, TL Stamp and the still superb Shaft. Plenty, plenty more as per. Thanks to the Claddagh Irish Pub and Garden Bar!
A mix of new and old featured on this week's show as we dipped into the bOttomless well of bFM bAngers. Whodamanny, Sensible Soccers vs. Mad Professor, Mr. Fingers and Shin Watanabe bEamed in from bEyond our bOrders while Hallelujah Picassos, Jazmine Mary, Kong Kasi and another selection from the stunning new Junny EP repped the locals. Plenty more bEsides.
Thanks as always to our bEsties The Claddagh Irish Pub and Garden Bar!
We played a bunch of new tunes this week that've already become firm faves! Spotlit artists incl. DJ Plead, PT Music, Gush, Slim Levy and Sandy B & Sofa Elsewhere. We have plenty of locally grown goodness too with The Sour, Disasteradio, Jonathan Bree and Rachel Clarke just some of the class acts featured. Donzig, The Stooges and Make A Dance shook the cobwebs out to finish.
Thanks to our pals The Claddagh Irish Pub and Garden Bar!
This week's show celebrated Aotearoa's immense talent with 100% local artists. Whether they're living here or spreading their greatness in far away lands as individuals or as part of intl. collectives, it's always an absolute honour to shine a light on what makes our music such an integral aspect of our place in space. Featured artists included Stereo Minus One, Kaishandao, Current Bias, adam tukiri, Romi Wrights and Phoebe Rings. Of course bFM elevates our culture on the daily but celebrating a week of NZ music is always a nice touch for Te Marama Puoro o Aotearoa.
Handclaps to our sponsor The Claddagh Irish Pub and Garden Bar!
Princess Chelsea joined us in the studio to play a bunch of hawt tunes. It was fun. VB was enjoyed.
I was away for this episode but you're in the capable hands of Eli, from the Thursday One To Four Show.
The one where for the first 20 mins I have the volume so loud the speakers nearly blow! Forever the rookie people, forever the rookie.
We were joined in the studio by Patrick Gower & Jonny to talk about the documentary Patrick Gower: On All The Drugs.
