Does God actually like me?Many of us know the “right” Christian answer: God loves us. But deep down, we may still wonder whether God delights in us, welcomes us, and wants us near. We may carry an inner voice of shame, accusation, criticism, or self-condemnation that feels louder than the voice of God.In this message, Pastor Steve Huber looks at 2 Corinthians 13:14 and the blessing Paul gives to a messy, broken church: “The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.”This sermon explores what blessing really is, why broken people can receive it, and how the grace of Jesus, the love of the Father, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit begin to rewire the voices of shame inside us.📖 Scripture: 2 Corinthians 13:14🏠 Covenant Church DoylestownThe blessing of God is not empty religious language. It is the strengthening goodness of the triune God, given to His people through Jesus Christ. __________If you're new let us know & visit https://www.covenantdoylestown.org tolearn more about us and how you can get connected.Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/covenantchurchdoylestownInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/covenantdoylestown
What do you do when life leaves you without answers? In Psalm 98, we're invited to sing a new song because of God's faithfulness—but this invitation runs much deeper than simply celebrating after a victory. Throughout Scripture, we discover that God's people often worship before they see their breakthrough. In this message, Josh traces this powerful theme through King Jehoshaphat, Paul and Silas in prison, and ultimately Jesus Himself, who sang a hymn before walking into Gethsemane and the cross. If you've ever wondered how to trust God when life feels uncertain, this message is for you.In this message you'll discover:• Why worship changes our perspective• What Jehoshaphat teaches us about trusting God• Why Paul and Silas sang in prison• Why Jesus sang before the cross• How worship becomes an act of faith before circumstances changeIf this message encouraged you, we'd love for you to subscribe and share it with someone who needs hope today. __________If you're new let us know & visit https://www.covenantdoylestown.org tolearn more about us and how you can get connected.Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/covenantchurchdoylestownInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/covenantdoylestown
What does it mean to live a life well?Psalm 90 is a prayer that speaks honestly about the shortness of life, the seriousness of sin, and the pain of living in a broken world. It reminds us that God has been the dwelling place of His people in every generation and invites us to pray, “Teach us to number our days, that we may get a heart of wisdom.”In this message from the Invitations From God in the Psalms series, we explore how Psalm 90 helps us face life honestly. Our days are limited. Our world is broken by sin. Our pain is real. But God is eternal, faithful, merciful, and near. This sermon looks at God’s eternal nature, our fallen nature, and the hope of redemption in Jesus Christ. Psalm 90 ultimately points us to Jesus, the second Adam, who came to reverse the curse of sin, defeat death, and begin the restoration of all things.📖 Scripture: Psalm 90🎧 Series: Invitations From God in the Psalms🏠 Covenant Church DoylestownIf you’ve ever wondered how to live wisely, how to face suffering with hope, or what it means to number your days, this message is for you. __________If you're new let us know & visit https://www.covenantdoylestown.org tolearn more about us and how you can get connected.Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/covenantchurchdoylestownInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/covenantdoylestown
Where do you run when life feels unstable?Psalm 71 gives us a picture of someone facing affliction, accusation, aging, weakness, and uncertainty. The psalmist asks God to be a “rock of refuge” to which he can continually come. In other words, he asks God to be his home. This message explores how we often build homes for our anxious hearts through control, success, family stability, reputation, finances, or the dream of a life that cannot be shaken. But when affliction and accusation come, those homes cannot hold. The good news of Psalm 71 is not that Christianity promises an easy or stable life. It does not. The promise is that when life is not steady, someone is holding you. Jesus became the ultimate homeless exile, took the affliction and accusation our sin deserved, and opened the way for us to come home to God.In this sermon, we explore what it means to run to God as our refuge, to trust His righteousness, to hope in Christ, and to praise Him even in the middle of hardship.📖 Scripture: Psalm 71🎧 Series: Invitations From God in the Psalms🏠 Covenant Church DoylestownWhen affliction and accusation come, let them drive you to God. What do we do about our grief, sorrow, and pain?In this message from the Invitations From God in the Psalms series, we look at Psalms 42 and 43 and God’s invitation to lament. These psalms give language to the experience of feeling spiritually dry, emotionally overwhelmed, and far from the comfort of God’s presence.Biblical lament is not faithlessness. It is faith bringing grief, confusion, anger, loneliness, anxiety, and pain honestly before God. The psalmist cries out from a place of deep need, asks hard questions, remembers God’s faithfulness, and repeatedly speaks hope to his own soul: “Hope in God, for I shall again praise him.”This sermon explores why lament is a sign of faith, how lament helps us know God better, and how lament helps us understand our own hearts more honestly. We also look at how Jesus Himself prayed the Psalms and entered into lament on the cross, showing us that God welcomes our honest cries and forms us through them.📖 Scripture: Psalm 42 and Psalm 43🎧 Series: Invitations From God in the Psalms🏠 Covenant Church DoylestownIf you feel overwhelmed, forgotten, spiritually dry, or unsure how to pray through grief, this message is an invitation to bring your whole heart to God and learn to hope in Him again. __________If you're new let us know & visit https://www.covenantdoylestown.org tolearn more about us and how you can get connected.Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/covenantchurchdoylestownInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/covenantdoylestown
Why is prayer so hard? Many Christians believe that God hears us, loves us, and welcomes us, but our actual prayer lives often feel distracted, awkward, inconsistent, or strained. Psalm 28 gives us a deeply honest picture of prayer. David cries out in desperation, asks for mercy, wrestles with the wicked, and eventually moves into praise and confidence in God.This message explores how Psalm 28 invites us to pray honestly and expect transformation. God does not invite only polished, eloquent, spiritually confident people to pray. He invites real people with messy hearts, scattered thoughts, fear, anger, doubt, and need.In this sermon, we look at why prayer is difficult, how Psalm 28 gives us permission to come honestly before God, and how prayer transforms us as we look upward to the Lord. Because of Jesus, we can come to the Father not as strangers, but as beloved sons and daughters.📖 Scripture: Psalm 28🎧 Series: Invitations From God in the Psalms🏠 Covenant Church DoylestownIf prayer has felt hard, awkward, or distant lately, this message is an invitation to come home to the Father who hears you. __________If you're new let us know & visit https://www.covenantdoylestown.org tolearn more about us and how you can get connected.Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/covenantchurchdoylestownInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/covenantdoylestown
What do you do when you feel like you are sinking?Psalm 130 begins with a cry from the depths and becomes an invitation to wait for the Lord. This psalm teaches us how to pray honestly when we are overwhelmed by sin, sorrow, regret, or the brokenness of the world. It reminds us that if God kept a record of sins, none of us could stand, but with the Lord there is forgiveness. In this message, we explore what it means to wait on God with hope. Waiting is not passive resignation. It is active trust. Like watchmen waiting for the morning, we wait because we know the dawn will come. This sermon also points us to Jesus, who waited faithfully in the wilderness and trusted the Father where Israel failed. In Christ, we discover that God’s redemption is not scarce or reluctant. It is plentiful.📖 Scripture: Psalm 130🎧 Series: Invitations from God in the Psalms🏠 Covenant Church DoylestownIf you feel overwhelmed, stuck, guilty, anxious, or tired of waiting, Psalm 130 gives you words to pray and a hope to hold onto. __________If you're new let us know & visit https://www.covenantdoylestown.org tolearn more about us and how you can get connected.Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/covenantchurchdoylestownInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/covenantdoylestown
How can you know that you have eternal life?In the final message of our Abide series, we look at 1 John 5:6–21 and John’s closing words about Jesus Christ, the Son of God. John writes to believers who may struggle with doubt, guilt, fear, and uncertainty, and he reminds them that eternal life is found in Jesus. This message explores why Jesus’ humanity matters, why His death on the cross was necessary, and how believers can have confidence before God. John reminds us that whoever has the Son has life, and that those who belong to Jesus are heard by God, protected by Christ, and helped by the Holy Spirit in the fight against sin.In this sermon, we explore what it means to know that we have eternal life, how to pray with confidence, how to intercede for brothers and sisters caught in sin, and why John ends his letter by warning us to keep ourselves from idols.📖 Scripture: 1 John 5:6–21🏠 Covenant Church Doylestown🎧 Series: AbideIf you’ve ever wondered whether God really loves you, whether your sins are truly forgiven, or whether you can have confidence before Him, this message is for you. __________If you're new let us know & visit https://www.covenantdoylestown.org tolearn more about us and how you can get connected.Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/covenantchurchdoylestownInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/covenantdoylestown
What does it really mean when the Bible says, “God is love”?In 1 John 4, we’re invited to see love not as a vague feeling or cultural slogan, but as something rooted in the very being of God. What does real love look like?In 1 John 3, we are given two powerful examples: Cain, whose self-love led to death, and Jesus, whose sacrificial love brings life. This message explores what it means to love one another not merely “in word or talk,” but “in deed and truth.” Love is not just a feeling, a rule, or a religious idea. There's 2 BIG things that we learn from digging into the 6th commandment this morning. 1 - Some of us haven't broken it and we think, "Ok. I'm good. done." Barrabas was exchanged in Jesus' place. The perfect one changed for a murderer and insurrectionist. Let's explore the deeper connections to the larger narrative of scripture this morning as Paster Steve continues in our Lent series into Holy Week this Easter.

Being called "Judas" is a common term in our society when someone betrays us, switches teams, sells out their friends, etc. But There's a lot more to Jesus and Judas' relationship. Jesus knew of Judas' betrayal beforehand but still included him among the disciples. What do you think this reveals about Jesus' attitude toward forgiveness and acceptance? How does this challenge our own attitudes toward those who have wronged us? Let's explore some of that this morning.
We conclude the REACH series this week by exploring how God prepared for us in advance to be a part of what He is going to do in the world.🙏 If you would like some prayer please reach out, we would love to pray with you. https://www.covenantdoylestown.org/prayer🚗 Join us In-Person: https://www.covenantdoylestown.org/visit/🔴 Our broadcasts will start at 8:55am & 10:40am every Sunday.📖 Read Along: Exodus 36:2-7 2 And Moses called Bezalel and Oholiab and every craftsman in whose mind the Lord had put skill, everyone whose heart stirred him up to come to do the work. 3 And they received from Moses all the contribution that the people of Israel had brought for doing the work on the sanctuary. They still kept bringing him freewill offerings every morning, 4 so that all the craftsmen who were doing every sort of task on the sanctuary came, each from the task that he was doing, 5 and said to Moses, “The people bring much more than enough for doing the work that the Lord has commanded us to do.” 6 So Moses gave command, and word was proclaimed throughout the camp, “Let no man or woman do anything more for the contribution for the sanctuary.” So the people were restrained from bringing, 7 for the material they had was sufficient to do all the work, and more.Ephesians 2:17-2217 And he came and preached peace to you who were far off and peace to those who were near. 18 For through him we both have access in one Spirit to the Father. 19 So then you are no longer strangers and aliens,[d] but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, 20 built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone, 21 in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord. 22 In him you also are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit.

Steve continues in the REACH series by looking at 2 Corinthians 9:6-9 and how God loves a cheerful giver and sower!2 Corinthians 9:6-9 6 Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. 7 Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. 9 As it is written:“They have freely scattered their gifts to the poor; their righteousness endures forever.”
What is at the heart of generosity? Spoiler alert: Its the Gospel! This week our special guest Bob Thune joins us from Nebraska to dive into 1 Corinthians 8:8-15 to look at how the Gospel of Jesus is the starting point for being generous and how to grow even more!Download The REACH workbook: https://www.covenantdoylestown.org/reachFollow Along: 2 Corinthians 8:8-158 I say this not as a command, but to prove by the earnestness of others that your love also is genuine. 9 For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you by his poverty might become rich. 10 And in this matter I give my judgment: this benefits you, who a year ago started not only to do this work but also to desire to do it. 11 So now finish doing it as well, so that your readiness in desiring it may be matched by your completing it out of what you have. 12 For if the readiness is there, it is acceptable according to what a person has, not according to what he does not have. 13 For I do not mean that others should be eased and you burdened, but that as a matter of fairness 14 your abundance at the present time should supply their need, so that their abundance may supply your need, that there may be fairness. 15 As it is written, “Whoever gathered much had nothing left over, and whoever gathered little had no lack.”Our broadcasts will start at 8:55am & 10:40am every Sunday.#church #sermon #generosity

Steve Huber concludes our Sacred Sex series by looking at the Apostle Paul's teaching on Sex in 1 Thessalonians 4. Paul gives three warnings about sex outside of its God-given setting. Resources Mentioned Can be found Here: https://www.covenantdoylestown.org/disciple/1 Thessalonians 4:1-12 1 As for other matters, brothers and sisters, we instructed you how to live in order to please God, as in fact you are living. Now we ask you and urge you in the Lord Jesus to do this more and more. 2 For you know what instructions we gave you by the authority of the Lord Jesus.3 It is God’s will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality; 4 that each of you should learn to control your own body[a] in a way that is holy and honorable, 5 not in passionate lust like the pagans, who do not know God; 6 and that in this matter no one should wrong or take advantage of a brother or sister.[b] The Lord will punish all those who commit such sins, as we told you and warned you before. 7 For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life. 8 Therefore, anyone who rejects this instruction does not reject a human being but God, the very God who gives you his Holy Spirit.9 Now about your love for one another we do not need to write to you, for you yourselves have been taught by God to love each other. 10 And in fact, you do love all of God’s family throughout Macedonia. Yet we urge you, brothers and sisters, to do so more and more, 11 and to make it your ambition to lead a quiet life: You should mind your own business and work with your hands, just as we told you, 12 so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anybody.
This week we celebrate Baptisms, Membership, & Communion and explore the relationship of the church to each other as brothers and sisters in Christ.

Andrew Poe takes us into Colossians 4 to explore some aspects of some instruction and requests.Colossians 4:2-62 Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving. 3 At the same time, pray also for us, that God may open to us a door for the word, to declare the mystery of Christ, on account of which I am in prison— 4 that I may make it clear, which is how I ought to speak.5 Walk in wisdom toward outsiders, making the best use of the time. 6 Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person.
Let's jump into a very hot topic this week in Colossians 3:17-25 and talk about the Gospel should transform virtually every one of our daily relationships with our Spouses, Parents, Children, Bosses, and Employees.Colossians 3:17-25[17] And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.[18] Wives, submit to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. [19] Husbands, love your wives, and do not be harsh with them. [20] Children, obey your parents in everything, for this pleases the Lord. [21] Fathers, do not provoke your children, lest they become discouraged. [22] Bondservants, obey in everything those who are your earthly masters, not by way of eye-service, as people-pleasers, but with sincerity of heart, fearing the Lord. [23] Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, [24] knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.
