"After years of discussions, USA based artists Joman and Tonal Space finally get together in the studio, putting their meticulous production techniques to work on the superb Scorpio, which marks their Bonzai Progressive debut. Joman is a very much established and respected artist and he has been producing electronic music for many years, he is self-taught and to date, he boasts a plethora of releases on several labels. Tonal Space is a relative newcomer on the scene who joins his friend on this release and there is definitely a chemistry there which has resulted in a top-notch track.
The Original Mix opens the release with a smooth, Summer coated vibe. Warm basses and Balearic inspired keys combine for an uplifting experience that will keep the floors busy no doubt. Narik returns on remix duties, just a few short months after his last effort, Albafica. Narik is passionate about electronic music after listening to New Beat and House music. Here, he continues a fine run of tracks, injecting his own brand of progressive house into the mix. The upbeat vibe is retained, with a driving bass at the core which is joined by some sublime, melodic synths. Top-notch stuff."

Lyrics: I was driving down I-95 A young man was walking on the side I decided I'd give it a try So I turned the wheels And they burned and squealed I got a taste for blood Yeah And I'll come back for more someday I got a taste for blood Yeah And I'll come back for more someday
I was on a boat on Biscayne Bay The rich man, he turned and walked away I decided I would make him pay So I pulled back his head Turned his white blazer red I got a taste for blood Yeah And I'll come back for more someday I got a taste for blood Yeah And I'll come back for more someday
I was on the corner of the street The policemen they saw me on the beat I decided I would move my feet They said get on the ground And they shot me down They had a taste for blood Yeah And they'll come back for more someday Very soon I'm sure I've got a disease For which there is no cure I've got a taste for blood
Happy birthday and congratulations on your first release in 10 years, Orange Peel Moses! I am happy to have contributed a remix for it in which I went surgical; re-processing the vocals, adding vocal layers, singing backing vocals myself, modifying the existing instruments and adding new melodies and progressions not found in the original mix… to say the very least, the works. I am both proud of my friend, and proud of the work I was able to contribute for this.
Press Release:
“A rare character.” – The Onion.
Orange Peel Moses has been a fixture in the Mile High Denver club scene for 15 years. As a musician, he has hit elevated notes on Red Rocks' upper terrace with now-defunct “Best Club DJs” Friends in Stereo for Global Dance Festival. As a stilt performer, he has cavorted onstage with Top 40 pop stars including LMFAO and Will.I.Am at world-renowned EDM events like Ultra and Electric Daisy Carnival. As a singing telegram, he has introduced Colorado Senate candidate John Hickenlooper and ambushed 9 News Denver anchor Liz Kotalik—in a diaper and wings—on live TV. As a music journalist, he has interviewed artists from Bassnectar to Henry Rollins. In his 15 years as a full-time creative, he has performed in Brazil, Canada, China, Costa Rica, England, India, Japan, Mexico and all over the United States, including Puerto Rico.
“Butterflies,” Peel's first single since 2010's “Pussy Whipped” on Velcro City Records (available on Spotify), is an intimate, insect-infused confessional inspired thematically by Cirque du Soleil's Ovo and musically by UK duo The xx. Peel has been fascinated with bugs since he studied entomology in 4-H as a kid, and has been an ‘entomophagist’ – an avid edible insect connoisseur – since stiltwalking at a 2013 Denver TEDx event featuring Rocky Mountain Micro Ranch founder Wendy Lu McGill.
The original mix of “Butterflies” was helmed by Nigerian producer Daniel Iyere and features Ghosthouse Studios' Rich Goldberg on guitar and vocal production from San Francisco-based Casey Collins. Remixes are courtesy of Axis of Youth and a Denver producer/vocalist who occasionally delivers singing telegrams on Peel's behalf – Joman.
The “Butterflies” EP is available everywhere digital music is sold.

The music inside of Rickety Cricket's drug-addled mind comes to life. Video with lyrics: https://youtu.be/k0CtjtJe-wA Painting by TKO Paintings: https://www.taylorkampa.com/
Beginning in August, I was asked by "TKO Paintings" to do a new "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" remix centered around the theme song ("Temptation" by Hans Kiessling), the character "Ongo Gablogian," and 'art' in general, incorporating the whole Gang, to help promote her newest series of paintings leading up to the premiere of Season 14. This is that remix. Enjoy.

"With this EP, I wanted to appeal to two different audiences: those looking for heavy-hitting club tracks, and those looking for songs that are more substantive and personal. "Fuckup" and "Slide" are both tracks I arranged in Reason when I was a teenager that were hits among my friends, so I decided to give them a fresh coat of paint by re-mixing and mastering them, and introducing them to the greater world for the first time. "Fuckup" is a unique blend of Industrial and House, with my teenage self pelting his angst in the vocals, whereas "Slide" sits somewhere between Shpongle and Skrillex, in a category of its own. Similarly genre-bending is the brand new track, "Make Weird Cool Again," which mixes House with Melodic Funk, overlaying an appropriately nostalgic theme. The repetitive vocal sample, "we need to bring back the 90s" (also recorded by yours truly) should evoke memories of the Big Beat sampling boom at the turn of the millennium. Last but not least is "These Dreams," a floaty half-step anthem I spontaneously wrote a couple months ago that every tortured artist out there should find relatable; I shared a preview of the project on my fan page, and the response was so strong that I determined it had to be released. All-in-all, I'm satisfied with this EP, mainly because of its clear, intentional duality. I wanted headbangers and heart-wrenchers, and I feel I successfully accomplished that mix in as few as four tracks."

Walked out of my History class after discussing the Salem Witch Trials. Heard this music box melody in my head. Decided to turn it into a dark Complex Electro track. Spooky October/fall vibe just in time for Halloween, intro-outro format suitable for DJ sets. Enjoy a free download of a high-quality 44.1khz 16-bit .AIFF file. Feel free to use in mixes with credit given.
