Research conducted by Naoufel Mzoughi in 2014 found that organic farmers reported higher levels of life satisfaction than conventional ones.
_
Moreover, the positive relationship found also holds true for recently converted and earlier converted farmers. The findings also showed that subjective well-being is positively associated with income, profitability, satisfaction at work, social recognition, and good health.

The 23rd edition of the world of organic agriculture is OUT. A huge thanks to IFOAM Organics International & FIBL for making this amazing document consistently available for the organic movement.
_
The report looks at the consolidated data from 2020, which shows organic food sales reached 120 billion euros. Double-digit growth rates were recorded in many advanced markets for organic products. Organic farmland grew in many countries, and the total organic area increased to almost 75 million hectares, representing 1.6 percent of agricultural land worldwide, managed by more than three million producers.

A research conducted by Naoufel Mzoughi in 2014 found that organic farmers reported a higher levels of life satisfaction, compared to the conventional ones.
_
Moreover, the positive relationship that was found also holds true for both recently-converted and earlier-converted farmers. The findings also showed that subjective well-being is positively associated with income, profitability, satisfaction at work, social recognition, and good health.

At BIOFACH, we joined sessions and looked for individuals who were looking to converse on the topic of health, health claims and the importance of health as a key factor in 'pushing' Organic and vegetarian production and consumption.
After attending several sessions and discussing with many other individuals, we settled to have a conversation with Thomas Roland who is the Corporate Social Responsibility Manager of Coop Denmark (Danish Consumers Cooperative Society).
The Coop Danmark is the second-biggest retailer of consumer goods in Denmark, with a market share of 40% and 1.4 million members. With this background and huge reach and access to consumers, it will allow us to have an insight of the consumers role in contributing to holistic health.

Ethiopian Airlines announced that it has finalized its preparation to serve only organic food for passengers starting from February13, 2021.

the airlines said the measure is helpful to promote indigenous Ethiopian farmers’ products that Ethiopian Airline uses for on board services while providing all enhanced nutritional, healthy and sensorial quality meal for its passengers.

Furthermore, it will play a vital role in promoting the products harvested in Ethiopia with organic farming systems thus increasing the demand in the international market through building the brand “Organic grown in Ethiopia.” I break all down what this means!

Brazil and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) football star Neymar Jr. has signed a three-year global deal with Superdry to front its new 100% organic underwear and sleepwear collection.

Superdry has pledged to become a “100% organic cotton brand” by 2030, and is currently supporting 400 farmers in India in its transition to organic farming as part of the brand’s “Grow Future Thinking” initiative.

In this particular adventure, i had the pleasure of having an in-depth conversation with Kenya biodiversity coalition national coordinator Mrs. Anne Maina about biodiversity and GMO’s!
She has been very pro-active in articulating on why we need biodiversity at the same time saying #NoToGMO’s where she actually played a very critical role in the government’s decision to outlaw GMO’s back in 2012
I started off by first understanding what biodiversity is, and why we actually need it. We also delved deep into the controversial topic of GMO’s where she helped us understand what GMO’s are, what their effects are, what we can learn from the African countries already growing them and whether we actually need them!

This lets you adore and appreciate how beautiful and magnificent our country Kenya can be! On arrival at his home, you could tell how different his home was from the typical home. Where as in a typical home you could find a well cut compound with just a few plants here and there, his was different!
He allowed various plants to continue to grow, NOT even trying to trim them down, but rather to let them thrive! Why? All this plants have medicinal value! So get ready to be mesamarised on what plants can do!

This is after She dveloped interest in organic farming when she had child who had been affected by autism and she realized that every time she fed him regular foods, the effects on her child’s autism level were high as compared to when she fed him local food she had grown by herself!

Well, if this is the first time you are about to see him speak, don’t worry, you will have a glimpse of what he is like, very passionate in whatever he does and especially on organic, music and veganism and truly shows you how committed he is to what he does.
Just to back up this claims, he has been a vegan for a whopping 24 years and counting, A musician since he was 13 years old and a beat boxer since he was 12years old. With the mantra you are what you eat, I dare you to guess his age.
When he is speaking about veganism, it almost feels like you should be one because the reasons that he gives as to why he is a vegan are pretty compelling.
