Hope, peace, joy, love. These words get thrown around a lot during the Christmas season, but do we remember why? The Christmas story is the story of how God intervened in history through the birth of Jesus. The lives of Mary, Joseph, and the shepherds were utterly changed by this event. They found hope, peace, joy, and love.
Can lives still be changed through the birth of Jesus?
Can ours? Join us this Christmas season as we find the truth of hope, peace, joy in love. Join us this Christmas as we – again – find Jesus.

O Sovereign Lord, You alone are able to establish Your Spirit within us and to bring us to life. You live in a high and holy place! Oh, that You would rend the heavens and come down. That You would restore us again, O God our Savior, that You would revive us again that we, Your people, may rejoice in You. That You would show us Your unfailing love, O Lord, and grant us Your salvation. That You would have mercy on us, O God, according to Your unfailing love. That You would create in us a clean heart and renew a steadfast spirit within us. You live in a high and holy place, but also with those who are contrite and lowly in spirit. And You alone are able to revive the spirit of the lowly and You alone are able to revive the heart of the contrite. So we humbly submit ourselves to You, O Sovereign Lord, turning away from our selfish desires and the Godlessness of our culture. For You are the everlasting God, the creator of the ends of the earth. And You alone are able to renew, restore, and revive us everyday.

We are born wrestlers. From the moment we are born we are wrestling - constantly grasping for more; to be first, to be known, to be loved, to leave a legacy.
In our wrestling we put on an act - a deception.
We wrestle - spiritually, emotionally, and relationally - throughout our lives, and yet God continually calls out to tell us that - even in our struggle - we are His and we will overcome.

Life is full of movement. Movement is not a bad thing. If we are moving, we are living. We are making progress. Movement, though, is also exhausting—physically and mentally.
In some ways, all this movement can be paralyzing. We feel stuck or caught because though we're moving all over the place there is no direction or meaning behind it. We know we're moving, but we wonder if we're really getting anywhere.
God says, "Be still". The Scriptures place an importance on intentional time taken to be still before God.
Through this series we will focus on God's call to be still and we will share in times of being still before the Lord. We will consider the Scriptural accounts of what God did in times of stillness and we will be encouraged to share in a 28-day devotional of reading, reflecting, and praying in stillness before God.

Many things in life leave us feeling empty; we search for meaning, we look for value, or we lack purpose. But what if we flipped the script and found fresh hope, renewed confidence, and solid assurance in the emptiness?
Come. Find hope. Find confidence. Find assurance.

An encounter that she never planned for, but one that was ordained by God. A woman who was hurting and a future that was hopeless. And then Jesus entered, and her life was forever changed.
What do you really need from Jesus right now? Has your life been forever changed? Who will you share this news with?

This Christmas we will consider the costs. What was the cost of Christmas to those who experienced it first-hand; Mary, Joseph, the shepherds, and all of Bethlehem?
Was it worth the price that they paid?
What will Christmas cost you?

Faith; the confidence in things hoped for and the certainty of things not yet seen. Rarely do we realize the impact of our faith.
Faith can bring forgiveness, healing, and health into your life and the lives of those around you. Faith can accomplish what is otherwise impossible. What impossibilities are you dealing with right now?

At Christmas, most people are wishing for something they don’t have.
Some say: “If I could only have this…then I’d be happy.” Some are on a search for something elusive, just out of reach.

Temptation is the desire to do something known to be wrong. Do you ever have the desire to do something you know is wrong?
The Apostle Paul wrote; "I am a person who does what is wrong. I want to do what is right but I do not do it. Instead, I do the very thing I hate. This has become my way of life: When I want to do what is right, I always do what is wrong. Who can set me free from my sinful self?" He concludes; "I thank God I can overcome sin and temptation through Jesus Christ my Lord!"

They were to be trained – to be assimilated – into the culture...
Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego resolved not to defile himself in the Babylonian culture around him. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego refused to bow down to the false god that King Nebuchadnezzar had built and commanded to worship. Daniel refused to stop praying to God when the King’s decree outlawed it.
Throughout all this God moved...and He will still move in our Babylon today.

From the beginning of time God’s heart has been for the lost. At the core of the Old Testament we read account after account of God’s desire to reach the lost. And the focus of the New Testament is His ultimate attempt to reconcile the lost world to Himself.
During this four-week series through the book of Jonah, we invite you to take on the mindset of a prophet and a heart for the lost.

Through this sermon series, “House Plan”, we consider our lives – our priorities – our commitments - our "house".
Is there a key element in which everything else in your “house” – your life – will be designed around and focused on?
It may require a bit of reconstruction – even demolition – to get rid of walls that stand in the way, doorways that need to be removed. It may be painful, but we will come away with a house plan that is well-designed, well-constructed, and lasts throughout time.
