Marriage and relationships are challenging at times. It's much easier to walk away than it is to stay and fight when things get difficult (believe me I know). Before you make a decision to divorce try separating first. Sometimes a separation is necessary. Often times it's the thing your marriage needed to reignite the spark and get a clear vision of what you two want your relationship/marriage to look like. Other times a separation gives you clarity that divorce is the next step towards your freedom and happiness.
Candice and Brittany(Pretty Lit Pod)join me to talk about being dope and living for God. Having a relationship with God doesn't mean your life is boring. It doesn't mean that you are perfect and that you won't have problems. It doesn't mean that you will address every situation the correct way. It does build character, integrity, and morals. There will be trials, tribulations, and test while walking with God, but living your life for him is so worth it!

As Mama J would say, there are lots of knowledge nuggets to take away from this show.Mama J and Mike answer questions about brokenness, their separation, back sliding, and date night. Mike is full of jokes and Joyce is a character as usual. Excuse Mike's low voice, he clearly didn't do a great job speaking into the Mic. LOL
Brokenness happens to all of us. However, you don't want to end up hurt while waiting for a person to become who they are shifting into during their broken season. Ladies, ain't nobody trying to end up with a boy that was supposed to be a man.
Fall in love with yourself before you try to fall in love with someone else. Being happy alone is a major key to the well-being, success, and longevity of your potential relationship. Becoming whole, happy, and secure before entering into a relationship, will help alleviate some of the unnecessary BS that comes along with being in a relationship.
Welcome new listeners! After a little break Joyce is back to motivate and educate people about mental health. Understanding what mental health is and how it differs from mental illness is crucial to a person's overall heath. Make a commitment to take care of your mental health the same way you would take care of your physical health.
Joyce, Dom, and Candice talk about online dating etiquettes. They share some good first date ideas, red flags to watch out for, and a few love testimonies. This podcast will literally having you laughing your butt off. Enjoy!
The kids join Joyce to discuss discipline! Joyce gives some good tips to use when you discipline your children. Its important to use different methods of discipline for different situations. Spare the rod spoil the child.
As you all know Joyce likes to keep it real, so there are plenty of bloopers for you to get a good chuckle out of. FYI she knows how to say validity! Sometimes she gets nervous. LOL In this podcast Joyce sits down with one of her many favorite cousins, Whitney. They talk about natural hair, traveling, being selfish, starting a family, borrowing money from your spouse, and long distance dating.
Our reoccurring co-host Dom finally has her debut on the show. We talk about everything from baby bonding, love languages, raising teenage girls, chores, and social media. Sit back relax and get ready to laugh your butt off. It's always a good time with Mama J and Dom!
First of all excuse the dryness Joyce serves up at the beginning of the episode. She was having a rough day. LOL She answers questions from her last two podcast about the rewards and challenges of marriage. She goes on to reveal that she has felt like walking away from her marriage, then she offers encouragement for other couples in the same season.
In episode one of a two part series, Joyce discuss some of the challenges couples may face while being married.
Joyce talks about the difference between Baby Blues and Postpartum Depression, and ways to identify each. She shares stories from her Baby Blues struggles, and tips to make leaving the house with an infant easier.
In this intro podcast you'll get to know Joyce, and you'll get a sneak peek at what to expect from her podcast.
