Hello and thanks for checking out my podcast! This podcast examines what True Health really is!
True Health is not really the absence of disease but more of an understanding of your world and hopefully something about religion(s) -- and their place in shaping the underlying values, ethics and identities of the past and today's postmodern world.
True health is Integrative health and is absolutely critical to everyone, everything, and everywhere because our world is completely connected as one. There is no "privileged" status in today's marketplace on ideas. Our aim should always be for the 'common good' and 'well-being' of a flourishing society.
I use my decades of service to my community as a social worker, hospital nurse, medical provider (nurse practitioner), and seminary trained pastor to draw on the resources, insights and compassionate values of the holy scriptures as I contribute to the welfare and health of my family, patients, clients, colleagues and social platforms in society at large.
I have always been, and will always be, passionate about being a vessel God can use in the ministry of teaching one to allow oneself to connect to body, mind, spirit, soul, environment and above all, passion! Realizing to allow yourself to only be satisfied in one or some areas of your life is the epitome of unbalanced health and can lead to disease, unfulfillment, stress, depression, anxiety and sadness.
TRUE health is an integrative understanding of your mind, body, spirit, soul, environment and world! Connecting with your "true self" on every plane of mind, body, and spirit will require you to listen to those who are struggling and change the system that threatens their survival and keeps them from thriving.
True integrative health will always focus and dominate in these 3 areas:
Integrity of Creation (environment, toxic chemicals, hormones & antibiotics in animals used for consumption, chemicals on plants, gmo's, pollution of our waters, glyphosates on crops, heavy metals, toxic skin care chemicals and toxic products.
Government (the public good, social justice, diversity, inclusion, equality)
Society (well- being, technology, human dignity, violence, and harm)
