Imam Bukhari began studying Hadiths while he was still young. He completed his initial studies, especially of Hadith, in Bukhara (his birth place). At the age of 16, he had memorized many books of famous scholars, At the age of eighteen, Imam Bukhari visited Makkah accompanied by his mother and brother. After performing the Hajj (pilgrimage), his brother and mother returned to Bukhara but Imam Bukhari stayed there for further education.
Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal [R] is remembered for many things. He was an Imam in Fiqh, Hadith, and many other sciences. Yet, the one matter he is most remembered for, one of the most defining moments in his life was his stance in the time of the Mihnah (the Inquisition)
Abu ‘Ubayd said: "If the intelligence of an entire nation was brought together he [Ash-Shafi’i] would have encompassed it." Similarly, Al-Muzani said: "I have been looking into Ash-Shafi’i's Risala for fifty years, and I do not recall a single time I looked at it without learning some new benefit."
Imam Malik was one of the most respected scholars of Islamic jurisprudence, he mastered the science of Hadith at the age of 17 and began to issue fatwa after 70 scholars confirmed his eligibility for the purpose. His tenure was the brightest period in the 92-year history of the Umayyads, He was the son of Abdul Aziz bin Al-Marwan, the governor of Egypt while his mother, Umm-i-Aasim was the granddaughter of Umar Ibn Al-Khattab [RA], he was very pious and averse to worldly luxuries. He preferred simplicity to extravagance. he even abandoned the royal palace and preferred to live in a modest house. He wore rough clothes instead of royal robes and often went unrecognized in public like his great grandfather Umar ibn Al-Khattab.

It is reported that Prophet Muhammad [S] said: ‘The better ones of you in the Days of Ignorance are the better ones of you in Islam when they understand (the religion).” These wise words of Prophet Muhammad [S] were best proved in the case of our hero Khalid ibn AI-Walid [R].
Salman al-Farisi is known as the Imam, the Flag of Flags, the Inheritor of Islam, the Wise Judge, the Knowledgeable Scholar, He came from a highly respected Zoroastrian family from a town near Isfahan. One day while passing by a church, he was attracted by the voices of men praying. Drawn by their worship, he ventured in and found it better than the religion of his upbringing. Muawiyah [R], He was born five years prior to the prophet-hood of Muhammad [S]. From an early age his parents realized that he bears extraordinary qualities of leadership, thus from his childhood his family encouraged him to seek various sciences of knowledge.
Julaibib’s lineage was not known. There is no record of who his mother of his father was or to what tribe he belonged. But what made him stand out from the rest of the companions?
Bilal ibn Rabah (may Allah bless him) is one of the most illustrious names in Islamic history. The Prophet selected Bilal to be one of his distinguished companions. Bilal’s rise to a position of prominence in Islam is evidence of the importance of pluralism and racial equality in Islam.
His life was full of purpose; a daily schedule was especially organized for praying, educating, and increasing his knowledge of the previous scriptures. He specifically became engrossed in the verses of the holy text that indicated the appearance of a prophet who will consummate the message of the entire prophecy. Talha ibn Ubaydullah was a cousin of Abu Bakr, He was also extremely rich. According to al-Masudi, he made 1,000 dinars a day from his business ventures. He also owned lots of real estate in Medina. Once he was rich, he gave all of his income to charity, let’s find out more about him.
One of the ten Companions who were given the glad tidings of Paradise while they were alive. He became a Muslim through Abu Bakr. He was a relative of the Prophet [S] through his mother. The Prophet often complimented him saying, "This is my maternal uncle Sa'd. Is there anyone who as an uncle like him?"
The image of dignity and grace, a handsome, pleasant, well-spoken man with a tall, slim physique and bright sharp eyes. These were the physical good looks of a man whom the Prophet [S] said: ‘Every Ummah has a trustee: the trustee of my Ummah is Abu Ubaidah bin Al-Jarrah.’
He was a very active young man aged only 19 or 20. When he heard the divine call of the Prophet, he went to the presence of the Prophet with his wife without any hesitation and they became Muslims. Watch on to know more about this great man.
Abdur-Rahman Ibn Awf [R]was one of the close companions of Prophet Muhammad [S] and his life story is certainly one worth studying and emulating. He was one of the first eight people to accept Islam.
Az Zubair bin Al Awwam (ra) is well known in the books of seerah as “The Disciple” of the Prophet (S). This title was given to him by Prophet Muhammad himself. Let us learn about this great companion.
Imam ‘Ali was about five years old when he was taken into the household of the Prophet Muhammad. He was one of the first to confirm the mission of the Prophet, although he was still but a youth.

Abu Bakr was always a very close Companion of the Holy Prophet, he knew him better than any other man. He knew how honest and upright the Prophet was. Such knowledge of the Prophet made Abu Bakr be the first man to follow the Message of Prophet Muhammad [S].
This series is about the ten companions that were promised paradise. From the commencement of life on earth till this day and generations to come, the only hope that we as Muslims are optimistic about is the belief that someday all our ups and downs shall come to an end and we will be rewarded bountifully in paradise. But there were ten that were guaranteed paradise.
Prophet Muhammad was brought up in God's sight and care. His father 'Abd Allah died before he was born, which meant that he had to put all his trust in God and submit completely to Him. He visited his father's tomb in Madina years later, cried his heart out, and on his return said: "I wept for my father and entreated God to forgive him.
