The owners word weighs a ton. Or the weight of internal intros. Have you ever heard that phrase before? I first heard it from Basecamp Co-founder, Jason Fried. It's an important lesson for owners and leaders to understand that your comments and opinions carry a certain level of urgency for your employees if context is not handled properly. From the top down, you should be reliable with your work. You want your business's reputation to be known as reliable and you want your employees to be reliable with the work you require from them. As a result, people will come to you because they know you can deliver a result on time. On the contrary, can being the "go-to-person" become a liability? My thoughts in today's episode.

A restaurant in Arizona offers a meal for $25,000!! Your first thought probably is, who would ever pay that? To my surprise, the restaurant consistently sells this dinner to patrons. Of course, my mind goes to business strategy and being able to charge more for less customers. I'll break down this analogy and maybe you can create the "$25,000 dinner" in your business.

No one likes copycats, especially those who are copying your business. Copying the idea that you have worked on for years and put your heart and soul into. There are certainly some legalities to this, as I'll mention in this episode, but it's also a mindset on how to can choose to handle a copycat competitor. I hope this helps if you find yourself in this frustrating situation.

2022 was my third year competing in the Trainual IRONMAN 70.3 Indian Wells – La Quinta, near Palm Springs, California. In the most recent race, I competed on a relay team as one of three teammates instead of doing the entire thing myself. This decision came from an epiphany I had, and that epiphany is the perfect metaphor for building your business. And more importantly, building the right team around yourself as the business owner.

It's important to create a culture that celebrates failures as a result of pushing the boundaries. Trying something new. As leaders, it's our job to create a physiologically safe space to give employees the confidence to experiment. I also believe their are two types of failures in a business, experimental and performance failures. I'll go into more detail on each these in today's episode.

This episode's all about how to make your business investable. Troy is the managing director of MATH Venture Partners, which happens to be one of Trainual's investors. He sits on the Trainual board of directors and he's been a great friend, advisor and mentor for us over the last few years. So, we get into the story of how we built Trainual, how we met, and Troy's background before we ever intersected. He was a serial entrepreneur, one of the founders of Sure Payroll, which is the first online payroll company in the U.S. and he teaches entrepreneurship over at Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Business. He's on the board of the Chicagoland Entrepreneurial Center and the board of a bunch of other companies that he's invested in over the years.

So, what I love about this episode, if you have ever considered raising money, raising venture capital for your business, this is the hour of content to listen to, or even less than an hour. We packed so much into this conversation about whether or not your business can grow at the trajectory to be investable, about what you should do to formulate your pitch and make sure you've got the right metrics to be investible by an investor, about the types of investors you should look for. Should they be active? Should they be passive? How frequently should we be checking in with these people? And then why would you raise money and what is it supposed to do in your business?

So from start to finish, we talked about Troy's journey getting into investing, and then we broke down the details of how you can do this for your business. So, this is a great episode to share with anyone that's interested in raising money for their business, and if you are growing a company that could take investment, please listen to this.

Educational content from Troy and MATH Ventures about raising capital. Check it out!

How long should it take to onboard and train a new employee until they reach full productivity? Well, it probably depends on who you ask. In fact, our 2023 State of Small Business Report found that High level leaders are 3x more likely to think that onboarding and training only takes a week compared to low level leaders. I think it's closer to 90 days. So how come there is such a disconnect? Some leaders say 1 week, while others say 30, 60, 90 plus days is more realistic. Let's dig into it in today's episode.

This episode is all about People Operations for SMBs and the four stages of growing your People Ops team.

Now, maybe that just starts with you as the founder, but as you grow a business, you then start to lean on other people. Maybe it's an office manager, an assistant, a director of operations, somebody that helps you wrap your arms around the structure of the business and train the new people that are coming in. As your business grows more, maybe you bring on that first HR person or People Operations person, and then eventually they build out their team with all the different functions.

This was a really fun conversation where we dug into the three different people, four, including me, who have held those roles so far at Trainual over the last four or five years. We broke down each stage, the things that we were good at, the things that we were not so good at, and the things that maybe you should be thinking about in your business as you grow to develop an incredible employee experience. Enjoy, dig in and hear our story for how we've grown People Ops at Trainual.

Shoutout to Sasha Robinson, Chelsey Krisay, and Marlowe Everett for jumping on the podcast to discuss all thing people ops with me!

How to make fans out of your rejected candidates. It sound counterintuitive, right? Why would someone still love your business after getting rejected for the position? You'd be surprised at how an incredible interview process, treating candidates the right way, and giving them constructive feedback can leave a positive impact on everyone that applies. That lasting impression can come back to benefit your business even if you didn't hire them. With our incredible recruiting and interview team, we've seen this happen with our candidates, time and time again. I'll break it down in this episode.

In this episode, I'm talking with Trainual's Director of Finance, Drew Romney. This episode is about structuring your annual forecasting and why finance follows strategy.

The holiday music is playing when you walk through the retail stores, and that means it's time for strategic planning and forecasting. So as we approach the end of this year, I thought what better conversation to start to surface than one about how we do forecasting inside our business.

So I invited our director of finance, Drew Romney, onto the show. We talked through how Trainual does forecasting, how you should think about forecasting in your business, what metrics and numbers you need to have in order to do the forecasting exercise, and how to communicate it to your team. So if you are thinking about forecasting, about budgeting, about your numbers for next year, then you're going to get a lot out of this conversation.

Productivity paranoia? Let’s call it what it is: Lack of trust and autonomy. I think this increased paranoia from managers and boss' really stems from a lack of trust, autonomy, and clear exceptions, not a remote work environment. Let me explain in today's episode.

In this episode, I'm speaking with Lisa González. This is almost a little meta because her playbook or her book is called 'Process! How Discipline and Consistency Will Set You and Your Business Free.'Like mine, hers is all about creating a playbook for your business. And so a page from Lisa's playbook is a book about playbooks, like my book about playbooks. So this one's fun!

You're going to like this if you like anything about process and operations. Just hearing Lisa's story, how she grew up in an entrepreneurial family, how she became the EOS implementer that she is now, how she got involved with the community and co-authored this book was awesome. We loved talking about it and having this banter around process.

After applying all of the EOS principles in her companies and intersecting with Gino Wickman, reading 'Traction,' EOS had made such a profound impact on her businesses that she wanted to share her expertise and process with other growth-minded companies.

Today she's a speaker, an author, a process fanatic, and she's, like I mentioned, the co-author of this book, 'Process!' So dive in, dig in, take some notes and I hope it helps you better document your processes.

In this episode, Jonathan Ronzio joined me for a live discussion on recapping our incredible, annual small business event, Playbook. So this year, Playbook 2022 was epic! We had something like 5,000 virtual people registered and this was the third year we've put the event on. So, as always, we put together incredible speakers and this lineup consisted of marketing guru Seth Godin, Allyson and Wes Felix of Saysh, Montell Jordan, and tons, and tons more!

In this conversation we casually break it down, talk about the behind the scenes and biggest takeaways from those speakers. All from the perspective of the hosts of the event, which was my brother, Jonathan and I. For those of you who don't already know, Jonathan Ronzio is Trainual's CMO. So the two of us were lucky enough to be on stage together, having a lot of fun, talking to some incredible guests. Now we're going to break it down for all of you here in this podcast.

In this episode, I'm talking with Dan Pupius. This episode's all about monitoring employee productivity and wellness in remote work.

Dan Pupius is the founder and CEO of Range, a workplace collaboration tool for hybrid and remote teams. Prior to founding Range, Dan ran engineering over at Medium. If you've heard of Medium, the blog post website, he ran the engineering team there. Before that, he was a staff software engineer at Google, so a really smart guy. He left those opportunities to start Range, a tool of his own, which is specifically designed for maintaining connectedness and employee wellbeing for all of our remote teams.

These days where so many people are logging in remotely, when we only see people for a few minutes here and there on our video chats and Zoom calls, this software, this effort from Dan and his team is to try to keep people connected. To keep your teams mentally healthy. We dig into this conversation of what you should be looking for to keep your employees engaged, maintain productivity, and how to prioritize employee wellness in our remote teams.

In this episode I'm talking with best-selling author of The Soulful Art of Persuasion, Jason Harris. This episode is all about moving beyond a transactional mindset. Jason Harris is the co-founder and CEO of award-winning creative advertising agency, Mekanism. He's the co-founder of The Creative Alliance and author of the national bestseller, The Soulful Art of Persuasion. Harris works closely with brands through a blend of creativity and performance and he calls this approach Soul Plus science, working with iconic brands like Peloton, Ben and Jerry's, Jose Cuervo, Alaska Airlines, Charles Schwab and OkCupid, among others.

So what we get into in this episode is really the art of storytelling and the art of persuasion, what he calls soulful persuasion, but really what it is long term brand building with your target customer. Rather than just focusing on these short-term transactional sales, which maybe you'd think would be the default in scaling a business to the size that some of his clients have, it's really about long-term thinking.

How do you continue to pour in and invest in nurturing your target customer to eventually persuade them to want to work with you? So there's a hint of marketing throughout this whole thing, but really we're talking about human psyche, persuasion, storytelling. So dig in, take a listen and see how it applies to your business.

In Today's episode I'm talking with Patrick Campbell, founder & CEO of ProfitWell. Today's conversation is going to be all about pricing, particularly, how you price your product during this kind of recessionary environment that we're in.

We'll talk about whether or not we're actually in a recession. We're going to have a specific emphasis on SaaS products, software as a service, because Patrick specializes in that, but if you're not in SaaS, there will be tons of applications, gems, takeaways that you can apply to your business. This conversation is value packed, like Patricks framework for communicating pricing changes to your customers and how frequently you should be making those price adjustments.

ProfitWell was recently acquired by Paddle and we'll talk about the acquisition in this episode too. So what does ProfitWell do? It is a software for helping subscription companies with their monetization and retention strategies. We've been using it for years and years and years. In fact, I have ProfitWell t-shirts that I still wear all the time. I feel like it's almost a t-shirt of my own company because I just look at my ProfitWell dashboards and metrics all the time. It feels like an internal tool. That's how much I love ProfitWell. Prior to ProfitWell, Patrick led strategic initiatives for Boston-based Gemvara and he was an economist at Google and with the US Intelligence Community. So super smart guy. Patrick, so glad to have you here.

In today's episode, I'm talking with HubSpot Executive, Dan Tyre. This episode is all about perfecting your inbound sales to strengthen your companies future. This conversation is from one of our live sessions during Trainual's annual event, Playbook 2022.

If you listen to my podcast, Organize Chaos, then you know I love every chance I get to talk with Dan Tyre. So we're bringing him back for another episode. I read once that you can never read the same book twice because each time you read it, you're a different person and so you receive it differently and you learn different things. And I think the same goes with interviews. So some of you may have heard Dan and I talk before, but every time we talk there will be new nuggets of wisdom, there'll be new questions, there'll be new stories that Dan tells. You can already see his energy in the chat. This guy's infectious. So let's talk about Dan, 15 year veteran of HubSpot.

He was the first salesperson. He's expanded the sales through management and training the whole sales team. And he coined the term 'schmarketing,' which we talked about the first time I interviewed him. He's also the co-author of the book Inbound Organization. Awesome book, check that out. How to Build and Strengthen Your Company's Future.

This episode's all about a roundtable discussion talking about unique ways to leverage training in your business and how to implement new software in your business, which surprisingly is something that a lot of people fail at. You would be surprised to hear the stat. Erin Mathie is on a mission to create and document the processes that small businesses need to scale, hire, and train their teams. Her grit and love for systems led her to sell her first business and found Business Made Simple, her consultancy, in 2013. She's a serial entrepreneur, having worked with hundreds of small businesses worldwide. She's a member of our Process People community and a Trainual-certified consultant.

So I always love these roundtable conversations where we get other operators out there in the world coming on to give tips and just spitball ideas with me about how you can improve your businesses. So in this one, we talk about really unique ways that you can leverage training for training your customers, training your vendors, training volunteers, training guests at your house even. So training exists more than just inside our businesses. And we'll talk about a proactive approach that you can take to really fine-tuning those experiences and saving yourself a lot of inbound confusion.

And then we get into how to roll out software in your business. So if you've signed up for a software before, I'm sure you have dozens or hundreds of times, you know that not all of them succeed. So we dig into why that is and we recommend from both of our points of view how you can make sure that you have someone championing this and make sure that you're working closely with the company, or make sure that you find someone on the outside to help you make it a success. So dig in, enjoy this conversation, and we'll see you over there.

Check out the 'Software Rollout' template in Trainual.

I'm excited to dive into this one, so if you're running a business or working out a business and wondering how much should we invest in our people, how should we think about these expenses? Apple employees are protesting against their latest remote work policy. As of September 5, 2022, all Apple employees are mandated to be in the office 3 days a week. As the in person vs. remote work debate continues, it's interesting to see massive companies establish policies that we may have never looked at if it wasn't for the pandemic's pressures towards remote work. Here are my thoughts on the debate!

In this episode, I'm talking with Alan Stein, Jr. This episode is all about sustaining your game, both in business and in life.

Alan is an acclaimed basketball performance coach, having spent 15 years working with some of the highest performing athletes on the planet. I'm talking Kevin Durant, LeBron James, Steph Curry, Kobe Bryant, and as a huge basketball fan, I really enjoyed this episode.

So five years ago, he pivoted from that experience in basketball to working with high performing business leaders and teams. And how they can utilize some of the same approaches that he saw these world class athletes using to raise their game and sustain their game. So he has written two books on those topics. Raise Your Game is the first book from 2019, Sustain Your Game came out in 2022. And we dig deep into what it takes to play at a high level in your business. So we talked about managing stress on a daily basis.

We talked about how you can deal with the mediocrity or feeling like you're stagnating in the business, what to do about it, and then how to conquer burnout. So all of this is just his great lessons, great stories in basketball, translated into how they can impact you in life and in business. There were so many takeaways, so many gems and nuggets that I don't want to spoil at all in this intro. But just think like, if he was working with Kobe Bryant and asking him the secrets to life and the secrets to performance.

If he was coaching a 15 year old Kevin Durant, who is now a multi hundred millionaire, multi gold medalist kind of athlete. What kind of takeaways might he have to share with you? Well, this episode is jam packed with those takeaways. So listen in and hear Alan Stein Jr's takes on life, on performance, on business, and a little bit on basketball. Enjoy!

If you've found yourself feeling overextended and the commitments piling up, you know it becomes tough manage. An important lesson I've learned through facing this exact feeling, learn to say no. But what about when you already made the commitment? How do you back out of them gracefully? How to determine which commitments you should drop or future ones that get a no? How to pivot commitments with clients? Whether you're the business owner or the employee this a valuable lesson for everyone.

In this episode, I'm talking with Jason Feifer. This episode's all about building for tomorrow and why embracing change is essential for growth in business or any area of your life.

Jason's the editor-in-chief of Entrepreneur Magazine and the author of the book Build for Tomorrow, which is in bookstores on Sept. 6th. He's also the host of two podcasts. One's called Build for Tomorrow as well, which is all about why modern concerns aren't actually that scary. Then he's got Problem Solvers, which is about unexpected problems that entrepreneurs are solving in their businesses. Prior to Entrepreneur, Jason worked as an editor at Men's Health, Fast Company, Maxim, and Boston magazine, and he's been writing about business and technology for years in Washington Post, Slate, New York, and others.

I just love this conversation with Jason. He was a guest at Playbook, our annual event, back in 2020, when so much in the world was changing. He was just getting started with this book at the time, so we got to follow up 18 months later on what he's doing, how the world has changed and evolved, and his book, which is now out this week, so you'll get to hear a lot about change.

Change is one of those topics that, as businesses, you deal with whether you want to or not. There's change of rolling out new policies and processes. There's new products that get rolled out. There's change for your customers. There's change for your employees, the market's changing, so how do you navigate that all? Well, Jason talks about his four step process and makes it very practical for you to go through. He also shows how you can use history to kind of calm your jets when you get nervous about things that are going on present day. So take a listen, I know you'll love this one.

In the recent weeks you've probably heard the uproar of comments on Malcolm Gladwell's criticism of remote work. I disagree with the majority of his statements, but I do however agree on one aspect. Business leaders inability to effectively communicate the advantages of being a remote or an in person company. And effectively communicating anything that needs to be implemented for that matter. Regardless if you are a remote or in person business, you have to clearly explain why it's the best scenario for your work culture. To me, it's a person by person and business by business decision. You can't make blanket statements.

In this episode, I'm talking with Kate Williams. This episode's all about the importance of philanthropic alignment with your customers. Kate is the CEO of 1% for the Planet, which is a global movement that inspires action and commitment so that our planet and future generations thrive.

Kate's led significant growth in this community's scale and impact as well as some deep work on best practices for implementing these high-impact growth strategies, growing a network brand and operating as a thriving workplace in an incredible team. I loved this episode because frankly it's different from any episode we've ever done here on Organize Chaos. It's talking about how we can use what we do for work to drive impact in the world.

Whether you are wanting to make an impact in the environment or some other cause that's near and dear to your heart, Kate walks us through their framework for how to pick a cause, for how to build it into your operational model, how to do it consistently over time and how to get ROI from it so that you can actually market what you're doing and get more customers attracted to your business as a result.

Enjoy this story from Kate Williams, with 1% for the Planet, and all of the giving and ideas that come with it.

In this episode, I'm talking with Eric Youngstrom. This episode is about some of the different ways to fund a business, specifically leveraging working capital to grow e-commerce businesses.

Eric is the Founder and CEO of a company called Onramp Funds out of Austin, Texas. Onramp Funds is an innovative financing platform that's purpose-built for eCommerce entrepreneurs.

When you think about elevating your business, making your business more mature, more sustainable, maybe you think of one of the biggest problems that a lot of small businesses face, which is getting their finances under control. Maybe you've been in a position where you didn't know where your next payroll was going to come from, where you didn't know how to finance the growth strategies that you dreamed up on the whiteboard. In this conversation, we talk about some of those issues and ideas, and how to make sure that the finances in your business are solid, which is something that I know is on a lot of our minds recently.

In this episode, I'm talking with Tony Jamous. This episode's all about the future of work and how remote, async work can help tackle global inequality.

Tony's the CEO and co-founder of a company called Oyster, which is a global employment platform that aims to remove the barriers of remote work and distributed hiring. Tony grew up in Lebanon, went through the civil war and developed this incredible worldly view where he believed that we should eliminate the bias of hiring across different countries. He did this in his last company, which he took public. And then he set out to build Oyster as a way to empower all of us to hire across country boundaries.

So if you're growing a business and you've thought about tapping into this global workforce and finding people across the world to work for your business, but it just seems too daunting, the infrastructure, the taxes, the payroll, the setting up entities, the HR and compliance issues, that's why their company exists. So we get deep into remote work, which they've been for the last few years. We talk about growth while maintaining your employee wellness. They've grown from 50 to 600 people in the last couple of years. And we get into how COVID affected all of us in this remote world future that we live in. So this episode will dive deep in remote work.

In this episode, I'm talking with Tamara Kemper and this episode is all about finding A-players for your business.

Tamara Kemper and her team at The Process Mavens help companies like yours build employee training and operations manuals so they can scale and stay a wonderful place to work. She is a Trainual certified consultant, in fact, one of the first, and I've known Tamara for several years, since the first year of starting Trainual. So we go back and forth, banter a little bit about what it means to have A players in your business. How she and I both measure these things or define these, how we retain people once we realize that they're A players, how we set them up for success.

So this is just a fun conversation about talented people working in our businesses, how to find them, how to keep them, how to foster their growth and I know you'll get a lot of value out of this one. Enjoy!

Terry Rice is a Business Development Consultant and Staff Writer at Entrepreneur magazine. He's also the host of Launch Your Business, a podcast that helps entrepreneurs start their business, save time and make better decisions.

This episode's all about how entrepreneurs can adapt an exponential mindset. By exponential, I mean non-linear, I mean not just growing by 10% each year, what if you could grow by a hundred percent, a thousand percent, by totally blowing up and reinventing your business model? Well, it takes a certain mindset and a proactive thinking to get your results to match that kind of exponential result. And that's what we dig into in this interview.

We also talk about second order thinking and how you can get more out of your existing client relationships to build bigger, longer lasting partnerships. And Terry is quite a celebrity over on LinkedIn, posting a lot of content, getting paid for content that he puts out. And so we talk about how to be consistent, how to be authentic and how to come up with ideas for the types of media that you put out.

In this episode, I’m talking with Adam Wingfield. This episode is all about building systems, process, and handling compliance issues with small carriers in the trucking industry.

If you don't know much about the trucking industry, you will learn their business model, their greatest challenges, and you'll get to see some interesting tips about efficiency that you can apply really to any industry.

Adam's a member of our Process People community. He's a Trainual certified consultant based out in Charlotte, North Carolina, and he's been in the trucking industry for 22 years. He's the founder and managing director of Innovative Logistics Group, which is a trucking consulting and carrier services firm. He also co-founded a company called InnoPortal, a trucking dispatch system, which in just the last two years has done over $80 million in transactions. So, Adam knows his stuff.

What I liked about this episode, is just really digging into a different industry that maybe you're not so aware of. He talks about the success rate and the failure rate of how many businesses are getting started in this industry. And we go all the way into these autonomous vehicles and some of the future changes that will impact this industry in the future. So as you listen to this, I want you to think about your industry and how these nuggets can apply to what you are doing.

This episode is all about the warriors journey. Zachary Green is a serial entrepreneur and the founder of two successful startups, including LumAware and Foxfire.

His products are now used by over 80,000 firefighters, and are in three of the nation's largest retailers, in addition to being carried by the Home Depot. Zachary is a US Marine Corps's veteran, former Lieutenant with his local fire department and his book, Warrior Entrepreneur just came out late 2021 as an Amazon bestseller. What I loved about this story is he talked about just growing from the humble beginnings in Parris Island and through his Marine training to an amazing $30 million plus in revenue.

He hit rock bottom in the middle there, and I want you to listen to hear that story about how he developed his unfair business advantage. And he used that to propel himself forward.

In this episode, we're talking with Gino Wickman all about the Entrepreneurial Leap — the topic and the name of his latest book. Since the age of 21, Gino has had an obsession with learning what it takes to make an entrepreneur thrive. So Gino set out to help other entrepreneurs and leaders get what they want from their businesses. Based on years of his experience, he created the entrepreneurial operating system, which you may have heard of as EOS. It's a practical method for helping companies achieve greatness. He's the author of the award-winning book Traction, as well as Get a Grip, Rocket Fuel, How to Be a Great Boss, and What the Heck is EOS.

Gino is now devoting his time and energy toward helping entrepreneurs in the making get a huge jumpstart on how to be an entrepreneur and how to take that leap. What I loved about the episode is that whether or not you read the book, he breaks down the attributes of an entrepreneur. This is an episode you want to share with friends, with family, with children, with anyone thinking about whether this is the path for them. We spend so much time talking about practical tips for scaling a business. So this one takes us back to starting a business and deciding is this the journey I want to go on? And what kind of business do I want to build? When I was consulting, I always used to work with companies to map out the context for what they were trying to build before we created the plan to do it. And this episode will get you started on that path, creating your own context for your business.

When it comes to being open and transparent with your company’s numbers, it doesn’t always have to be filled with the fear of judgment or being too inclusive with that type of sensitive information. Chris challenges this thought and shares the positives he has seen from being open about Trainual’s numbers. Transparency also has a direct impact on your day to day relations with your customers and employees.

In this episode, I chat with Joe Martin, the GM and VP of Marketing at CloudApp, a visual collaboration tool. What I really liked about this episode is that he talks about, as a remote-first tool, how they're approaching this new remote economy that we live in. So he talks about the boom and traffic they've seen, the signups, and how they've adjusted things to be more applicable than ever. He also talks about customer experience because their tool relates to design and great customer experiences. And they've done a fabulous job of collecting customer and non-customer feedback and designing their product.

Sub Rosa is a strategy and design firm that has worked with some of the world's most iconic brands and organizations; including Adobe, Delta Airlines, Google, Goldman Sachs, Nike, The TED Conference, and The Obama Administration.

In this episode, I chat with Beate Chelette, The Growth Architect and founder of The Women’s Code about how to turn your passions and skills into profit. What I liked about this episode was her passion for small businesses and growing businesses. She developed a framework for scaling a business from the idea, the inception, all the way into building the systems and training that Trainual specializes in.

Beate was once $135,000 in debt as a single parent when she bootstrapped her passion for photography into a highly successful global business and eventually sold it to Bill Gates in a multimillion-dollar deal. While both of these segments are about different topics, they share a common thread. During both monologues, Chris hints at the idea that passion is an essential element to progression. If your business could survive being open 5 hours a week or your company is so self-sufficient that you only need to work 4 hours a week, would that stop you from putting in more time to continue to progress? If you truly are passionate about your business and focused on maximizing its potential, you're probably going above and beyond the minimum amount that is required of you. You want your business to be the best it can be because great things don’t last forever.

In this episode, Chris talks to Clate Mask, CEO and Co-Founder of Keap. What I loved about this episode is that Clate gets so specific in outlining the different stages of business growth that you go through. And at each of the stages, there's kind of a revenue marker that he points to. And there's a key problem that you need to solve. So, Clate I know from experience, is very tactical and surgical about the advice he gives. And you'll get to see that here in this episode.

So if you haven't gotten much media, or you haven't gotten much coverage, or you're just not sure where to start and you're too daunted by the prospect of reaching out to those top tier publications, Adrian will break it down for you and make it feel easy.

Adrian is the co-author of the FREE PR Book and the former co-founder of CanvasPop, which he bootstrapped to 8-figure sales. Now he’s a public speaker, startup advisor, investor, and PR expert who’s passionate about helping entrepreneurs reach mainstream success using the power of earned media. His companies have been featured in The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Today Show, The Doctors, Good Morning America, The Big Idea with Donny Deutsch, CNN, MSNBC, TechCrunch, Mashable, Fast Company, Forbes, The Verge, and WIRED. He is a global mentor for San Francisco-based 500 Startups and is the #1 rated advisor on Clarity.fm.

In this episode, I sit down with Alex Judd, business coach and host of the EntreLeadership Podcast. We talk all about the process of becoming a better leader. Right now we're going through a pretty crazy time where a lot of businesses are having to pivot and re-prioritize what they're doing and then communicate that to their teams. Alex walks us through, start-to-finish, how you tackle the habits, the mindset, the action plans, the priorities, and how to deal with getting out of this in a better place. So take a listen and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Alex joined Dave Ramsey’s EntreLeadership team in 2016 as a Business Coach and works with business owners every day to make Ramsey principles come to life in their organization. In addition, as the host of the nationally recognized EntreLeadership podcast, he is responsible for interviewing many of today’s biggest names in business and leadership. Alex is a passionate communicator who is driven by the belief that EVERYBODY wins when a leader DECIDES to get better.

This is a special episode featuring our host and Trainual CEO, Chris Ronzio, and Trainual CMO, Jonathan Ronzio. Chris and Jonathan have an impromptu discussion on how Trainual and the rest of the world are dealing with Coronavirus. Chris was getting a ton of questions on LinkedIn, from employees, and in his entrepreneur groups, so we thought it would be a good idea to have a candid discussion about what we’re doing, how we’re handling it, what we’re thinking about, and how we’re preparing to weather the storm. As we’ve been forced to transition to remote work just like a lot of you, we hope this episode provides some advice to help you get through it.
