Bridge Builders Community Church is a band of followers on mission to glorify God, transform lives and impact the world by sharing and living out the gospel of Jesus Christ. We are a community who gathers on Sundays and through out the week to celebrate, pray, learn, and enjoy the conversation and friendship.
Our desire is to know God through Jesus Christ and to learn to love and serve Him and each other well.

When we commit to a life following Jesus and living that life out loud… there’s a problem.The problem is this… The world we live in is hostile to that way of life. Right? So, there is a problem but there is also a promise. Jesus told us in John 16:33…“I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”
When we talk about being full of the Spirit, walking in the Spirit, and bearing this fruit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control—did you realize we’re actually describing what it means to be image bearers of God?
Jesus promises us an abundant life. He says in John 10:10, "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life and have it abundantly." Imagine that! He came to give us an intimate relationship with God, making it possible to live, communicate with, and enjoy life with the very Creator of life.This all comes down to one question: Are we a disciple of distraction or a disciple of Jesus? The answer is found in love. True devotion is fueled by our love for God; this is a love decision.

In this sermon, "Jesus Life: Living Life Out Loud Week 5," we explore what it means to live the "Jesus Life"—an identity received, not achieved. The sermon emphasizes that this life is about moving forward in God's presence, even through suffering, because Jesus redeems what hurts. A key theme is discerning Jesus' voice amidst the noise and deception of the world, as His sheep know and follow His voice, not strangers. The sermon also highlights consecration as an act of worship and devotion, helping us prioritize listening and obeying Jesus' voice. Ultimately, the "Jesus Life" is presented as one of abundant, purposeful living, marked by daily encounters with God, intimacy, peace, joy, connection, and freedom.
In fact, You and I were made for the presence of God. Designed and created to be there. You and I were planned for, positioned, placed and chosen to be in His presence.
Have I made God the ONE in every area of my life? Do I seek for, hunger for, desire after being in His presence every day of my life… do I desire to keep His face in front of mine over everything else? Do I hunger for more of Jesus in my life?
I think Jesus knows how to live! Our Messiah, King, Master, teacher, liberator, friend and older brother. The Good shepherd, the light, the door, living water, the bread of life, the way, the truth and the life, the resurrection and the life… I think Jesus knows how to live!And show us how to live! He knows how to give life, abundant life. To know Jesus is to know how to live… full, overflowing, vibrant… even extreme, is ours to have.
Here’s the truth. Loving Jesus, following Jesus… with all our heart, mind, and strength… this life is not troubled free, following Jesus, living a blessed life does not mean no hardship, or no sorrow! Life will be hard at times… Godly people face hard things in this world we live in.
The narrative of Jesus rising from the dead is told in all four gospels, from four diverse points of view. It is Mary Magdalene’s part of this story that intrigues me and amazes me.

Jesus is describing a blessing than helps us see suffering as redemptive and transforming. And that is what I believe we see in Palm Sunday, the arrival of the Messiah King who turns the world upside down… just not as the world was expecting.

More and more I need to trust in His definition of peace and not my own. My definitions and interpretations of peace are so wrong, so often that I need to learn to trust in His. Thankfully, God's peace is a gift that comes from a right relationship with Him, and it's a fruit of the Holy Spirit. And I want that fruit to be evident in my life.

Jesus instructed His followers to seek the Kingdom of God first and His righteousness… because the Kingdom of God changes everything. Our Messiah teaches us that Kingdom Life is the only life to pursue… everything else is incomplete and shallow.

The one thing to remember about Kingdom Life is this… we serve at the pleasure of the King. We are not our own, we’ve been bought with a price. (1 Corinthians 6:20) Redemption set us free… how we use that freedom, reflects on how we feel about our King. The poor in spirit are sons and daughters who understand that their value is defined by the generous heart of God. We are blessed… set free, redeemed former beggars who retain the mindset of one.

Friendship with Jesus is a sacred and pure thing. This is not being buddies with Jesus… He’s not my BFF, not my bruh… our relationship is not ordinary! Our Lord is inviting us into a level of intimate friendship extended to obedient sons and daughters of God. This is a covenant level friendship, a love relationship found in the Trinity.

This desire to see God is so tied to the value I place on my soul (and its care). Do I value my soul like God values my soul? (He died to save it) Do I try to fit God into my values? Or do I really want to see my amazing God?

Temple life is a pure life, a life set apart, devoted to bringing glory, dedicated to worship God our creator. Pure thoughts, pure actions, what I allow in my body, my mind, and my spirit… what I feed my soul with must honor His Temple.

You belong to God. You’re his. He is yours. Your body, my body is His temple… not my temple, His temple. Ownership of who I am is not debatable anymore. Temple Life is about living life inside out. When our inner life influences our outer life instead of the other way around. Temple life is a God centered life where we embrace these truths that His word teaches us.

This is the call to follow Jesus, to enter the world of the Messiah and journey with Him, not at a distance but up close and personal.

I think some of the bravest and most powerful hearts on the planet belong to women. The female heart is certainly the most beautiful vessel ever created to contain the love of the Messiah. The reservoir of emotional strength and life giving energy seems unlimited. One of the greatest powers demonstrated by this vessel is the wonderful ability to connect with other human hearts.

WE NEED TO REACH OUT…we want to touch the lives of others, we want to communicate in a way that influences them, that stirs their heart towards the Messiah, and in order to do that…we’ll need to stretch and expand.

When the Father asks a question…He’s very interested in your answer. The answers we give to God are not for His benefit…He knows the answer. Our answers often reveal our hearts and allow us to see the blind spots in our lives.
What are you reaching for? A position or a title? The pursuit of God means accepting whatever He places in your hand.

Of all the books of the Bible...I get the Psalms. The language and the style it's written in may be different from mine own but it speaks to me. The experiences... the rollercoaster-ness of life with God is real and raw. What the Psalms say to me is that my feelings, my emotions, my outlook, and the way I think and believe, AND the way I express them is important to the Father.
