3 Things We Must Do To Insure Healthy Relationships Within The Church Pt. 2 | 1 Peter 3:8-12
In the book of Colossians, Paul had to correctly diagnose the spiritual condition of the Church in Colossae and prescribe the appropriate spiritual remedy. Gifted with an Apostolic point of view and tasked with fervent prayer as well as discipleship, he took to warning the Church in Colossae of distractions. Paul knew that even Christians could lose sight of a true and undisturbed walk with Christ. Paul knew that the remedy for dangerous philosophy, self-gratifying pragmatism and jealousy, along with many other distractions, was a constant focus on the things above. All good practice and theology flow from an understanding of the implications of the Resurrection. Throughout the normal course of our lifetime we will question who we are and why we do what we do. A person may attach their identity to career success, a financial enterprise, drugs or any secular endeavor. They all fall short and provide only temporal assurance, if any.
