Jay gifted us with two tracks crafted for the dance floor combining a deep groove topped with minimalistic elements resulting with mixed feelings and emotions since ‘Pandora’ tends to be funky and melodic while ‘Wtf is this’ has more a dark and heavy percussive soundscape.

Ounce Upon A Time tells a story of interaction. The purpose of this interaction is to come to a deal, where both participants get what they want. There is an asker and a giver in this discourse that interchangeably switch parts to come to an agreement. It is a conversation between two people translated into a percussive dialog where both leave satisfied… until the supply runs out.
The title track of the EP brings you back to Gunther’s dark and raw style. Satisfying, hard-hitting, and straight to the point, Shades of Black serves techno at its core. It ventures into your undeniable dark side and embraces it, questioning authority. It is the acknowledgement of reality without fake ideals and masks. In a world run amok, disobedience is a virtue.
The introductory track Sightless sets the tone of the EP with Gunther’s signature dark ambiance. Inspired from Lebanon’s trash crisis and the failure to find a dumping site, an ominous world is imagined where humanity is drowned in its own garbage. The soundscape is littered with industrial elements creating a dusky environment where machinery rules over man. It is the sound of a war that has been lost due to greedy improvidence and sightlessness. Total destruction.
Ending 2018 with Sonic Jay, rising talent from India taking us on groovy journey, ahead of his debut on our label with his Pandora EP scheduled to be released in January, enjoy this hour of sonic pleasure.
Shades of Grey is a collaboration between Gunther and Anthon. It is a partnership between older and younger, taking a surprisingly melodic turn – particularly for Gunther. The track deals with concepts of age and maturity signified not only by grey hairs, but also by openness to new ideas, and new sounds. It is a sonic representation of different generations working together for a higher purpose: creation. Time is transformed into experience, and knowledge into wisdom: preservation through development, development through unity.

About Rise 1969: Born in the UK and raised in Beyrouth, 23 year old William Mahfoud (aka Rise 1969) returned to London to obtain his degree in sound engineering from SAE Institute and has successfully drilled his way through the English electronic music scene. From taking part in the not-so-legal raves in London to playing gigs in The Ministry of Sound, and being associated with indie labels like ABCD, Metafiziq, Air Snare and the up-and-coming Lebanese label Din Is Noise records, Williamʼs music ranges between dark techno beats that carry a perceptible Middle-Eastern influence and sound experimentations involving EEG, neuro-feedback, brain waves and psychoacoustics. He is now working between Beyrouth and Dubai, working on his album release and collaborations with artists within the local scenes.

Stamina started Djing under the name of "The Gemini" (named for his abilities to play both musical genre, Drum n' Bass & Tech House), spinning on Vinyl's before moving to CD's, he is an expert in translating planetary movements and cosmic vibrations into actual frequencies, accessible for the human ear.
