2007 born Pizzico avails itself of politically uncorrect aesthetics (..but we think so pretty graphics..) to sound the dramatic and obscure sides of last decades, from psyco and lysergic 70’s to darkest double identities of the 80’s and pleasant soul decadences of the 90’s, looking forward trying to reach for the good sound, starting from the assumption that all the true art on earth is dirty and torbid, even if it makes you perceive a foreshortening of the sun..

TENSIONE CASIO By Billy Bogus & Max Paparella
Tensione Casio is a record/project entirely devoted to a “cinema di genere” / genre cinema which no longer exists but still keeps being referred to nowadays: from Umberto Lenzi’s car chases (strictly on Alfetta), to Lucio Fulci’s visual deliriums and more, from Riz Ortolani’s illusory relaxations to Augusto Martelli’s detours on the theme. Directors who blends and get confused with their composers bringing about a precise iconography, a layered universe of sounds and images.

Pizzico celebrates his 50th record release with a new artist: Super Disco. The label fascination for this new South American wave - combining minimal, downtempo and leftover of incredible Mexican New Wave in a perfect Jorge Reyes style - is not a mystery anymore and “Guirlande” is the proof: subtle ambience, rhythmic summaries, voices in the deep jungle and a warm atmosphere. Super Disco, aka Alessandro Montano, sums up all this in a modern and essential way, creating four perfect tracks of meso-disco for any contemporary “warm up”, winking at archaic civilisation.

Pizzico is going to celebrate the first ten years of activity with an extravagant project. Four excellent remixers show their personal versions of “Noche a Bahia” and “Dalì”, two tracks that we could say are “Balearic Ante Litteram”, by memorable band CIAO FELLINI.
Severino of Horse Meat Disco, the most famous London party, Dj Rocca from legendary Maffia and worldwide famous producer, The Caribbean House, combo of historic minds from Technogod to Disciplinatha and Johnny Paguro, outsider from Pizzico, show their reworks in this record made for the most diverse dance floors, from breakbeat to disco-house.
Hailing from Modena, playful, open minded and irreverent, Ciao Fellini marked the 1980-1990 decade with several covers and bold italo-pop singles. They won a Festival Bar, got photographed by Luigi Ghirri, sold more than hundred-thousands copies of “La mia banda suona il rock”, were invited to the trendiest TV shows of the time such as Discoring and Super Classifica Show, they ran one of the most prestigious night clubs of the 80s in Northern Italy, il Graffio, it seems, therefore, impossible not to celebrate the thirty-year of their first original hit “Noche a Bahia” with a dedicated vinyl!

Pizzico Label head Billy Bogus is back on track, this time joined by Kasillen , mysterious producer and sound designer who comes from a hip hop and black music background, and is behind Italian pop stars such as Stadio, Umberto Tozzi & Samuele Bersani just to name a few. Bogus & Kasillen come up with two original tracks with the consistent help of a MPC 1000, blending old Italian horror soundtracks with dubby/cheesy analog sounds so to convey the sense of discomfort you feel while watching a thrilling Italian b-movie, but in a clubby way. The final punch comes from the acid psychedelia of a different version of the same track by In Flagranti and the 80's space-like vibe of homeboy Ma Spaventi .
Svengali is a 1931 American horror film where through hypnotism and mind control, a sinister music maestro controls the singing voice, but not the heart, of the woman he loves. As most of the Impressionist movies of early 30's it speaks metaphorically about european pre-war tensions and the incoming menace of Nazi Germany.
