Based in Naturena, Gauteng - South Africa, Mapz launched his career early in 2010 when he met with Cool Jive who’s currently residing in Limpopo. They both produced tracks that are currently paving their way up on South African air waves (Radio), the track names are “Flight to mind (Released under Baainar Records), We are Afrika (Released under Real D records) and Love hearts (To be released in “Lets Play house Vol.1 mixed by Funk Deepstar”).
Cool Jive and Mapz were then recognized by big names in the industry when “We are Afrika” was played on the Urban Beat (Metro FM) by Vinny Da Vinci, Zeal and DJ Christos. Cool Jive and Mapz are currently signed with/under Real D Records which is owned by RedDeep.
Mapz has been featured as a guest DJ on Vow FM (House Of Rhythm) back in August 2012. He has played alongside upcoming top DJs and Artists, Namely “DJ Capital, Sliqe, DJ Mbuso, LZK Cristal Music, DJ Rogers, Sole Essential, Mo – Flava, Funk-Deepstar and many more”.
Few places where Mapz has played in his short stay in the music industry: Stones (Melville), Mi Bar (Rose Bank), Lefelong Café (Vaal – Bophelong), Co-fi ( Cedar Square – Fourways), Lemba Lodge (Limpopo), The Dave (Limpopo), Jaraz Butchery (Limpopo), Houghton (S.W.A.T ENT Parties) and many more. Mapz is currently singed with S.W.A.T Entertainment as their events DJ/Entertainer.
