Analyzes news events within historical, geographic and political contexts to expose and deconstruct propaganda propelling US imperialism and Israeli colonialism. The header image is from Israel's 2014 "Operation Protective Edge" in Gaza. It's obvious who needed the protection from whom.
The Palestinian Nakba is commemorated each May, marking the 1948 declaration of the state of Israel while seizing the historic land of Palestine and dispossessing its people.
Many, probably most, Americans have never heard of the Nakba - "catastrophe" in Arabic - when nearly a million largely defenseless indigenous people of Palestine were ethnically cleansed by Zionist terrorism (so-designated by the UN in 1948 and proudly claimed by Menachim Begin, head of the Irgun terrorist militia and future Prime Minister of Israel). Palestine was a highly developed region of Arab civilization - hardly "a land without a people" - which after fighting alongside the British to liberate their land from the Ottoman Empire upon a British pledge of national sovereignty should they prevail (recall Lawrence of Arabia), were betrayed by their former allies as a quid pro quo for Zionist influence enlisting US entry into WWI.
Under its Mandatory transition administration implementing the so-called "Balfour Declaration," the British had allowed Jewish refugee immigration from Europe increasing the Jewish population of Palestine from 10% to 30% in the 1920s and 1930s, against which Palestinians eventually rebelled. They were brutally crushed and disarmed by the British and were thus helpless in 1948 when the British withdrew and the nascent, US-dependent UN inherited the problem.
UNSCOP, the UN committee established to consider solutions, was heavily lobbied against a single unified or binational state, which most members favored, and eventually recommended partition with 55% of Palestine to the 30% Jewish minority that owned less than 7% of the land. After more heavy lobbying and US economic extortion to produce the 2/3 majority required, the General Assembly adopted this plan in UNGA Resolution 181. But the Security Council declined to ratify this plan, which violated the UN Charter principles of majority self-determination by emerging states, so Zionist forces launched a well-armed and long-prepared "Plan Dalet" to seize the land by force and expel the people who had lived there for centuries. Weak Arab forces from newly formed neighboring states intervened, attempting to protect areas designated by 181 for the Palestinians and succeeded in preserving half, leaving Palestinians with just 22% of their historic land. The strongest Arab force - the Arab Legion of Transjordan - cut a deal with the Zionists to keep the West Bank in exchange for non-intervention.
These historical realities were meticulously concealed by the Exodus myth - a work of fiction commissioned for both the book and companion film - and other Zionist tales of heroism and triumph until Israel's extensive archival records were declassified in the 1980s and its own historians were able to discover and report the facts. One such historian, Ilan Pappe who wrote The Ethnic Cleansing of Palestine, was harrassed and threatened into emigrating to the UK, where he is now chair of the history department at Exeter University. His book painfully recounts how Zionist forces committed 33 massacres to terrorize Palestinians into flight from over 500 villages, 13 towns and cities, seizing their homes, businesses, orchards, olive groves, vineyards, mosques and churches, public buildings, libraries, theaters, and have attempted ever since to obliterate all traces of Palestine's 1400-year Arab Islamic and Christian civilization, pretending and teaching their children that it never existed.
I include two audio segments from presentations by Dr. Pappe with thoughtful insights on Zionism and description of Israel's desperate campaign to obliterate the culture it still tries to deny and displace. In these presentation segments, Dr. Pappe describes the malevolent, still-ongoing Zionist agenda to secure all the land with as few Arabs as possible on it, Israel's long racist campaign to dehumanize Palestinians past and present, and to erase all historic memory and Arab identity from the land they stole. He calls this "memoricide" and ethnocide" which are inextricable components and inevitable precursors to the progressive genocide in Gaza and West Bank refugee camps that the world has been unable and unwilling to stop due to unprincipled American protection of Israel from international sanctions.
British betrayal of their WWI Palestinian allies, Zionist betrayal of European Jews by blocking escape routes to available destinations other than Palestine, and US manipulations of the UNGA in 1947, set the stage for this last European settler colonial state which festers still as an unhealed wound in the heart of the Middle East. Our steadfast support and diplomatic protection enabling Israel's ongoing criminality establishes an enormous moral debt that we owe the Palestinians.
Feature story Dr. Judy Mikovits received her PhD in biochemistry and molecular biology, and worked for many years at the National Cancer Institute with research collaborator Dr. Frank Ruscetti who was the first scientist to isolate a retrovirus. Ruscetti and Mikovits collaborated in a confirmation study of French scientist Luc Montagnier's discovery of the HIV virus, for which he received the 2008 Nobel Prize. Their paper was accepted for publication when NIAID Director Anthony Fauci reportedly interfered, blocked their publication, and commandeered the research program with Dr. Robert Gallo including patent rights. Mikovits frames this story within a larger issue, which was the 1980 Bayh-Dole Act that allows government scientists to patent products of their taxpayer-supported research, opening the door to serious conflicts of interest and potential corruption. In this case the temptation for corruption involves patented vaccines, which were granted immunity from liability by the 1986 National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act, which vastly reduced the need for self-protection and related costs of safety testing, and has led to a gold-rush proliferation of vaccines with insufficient risk/benefit assessment.
This video interview with Dr. Mikovits - Part 1 of a documentary titled Plandemic by filmmaker Mikki Willis - was quickly removed by YouTube, displaying its complicity with corporate and state agendas, but I downloaded it before its disappearance and provide a slightly reduced version to allow room for commentary here.
Dr. Mikovits is charging Dr. Fauci, the NIAID and CDC with scientific fraud, and is challenging the integrity of the pharmaceutical industry, which is the single largest lobby in Congress, the #1 source of cable news advertising revenue, and funds a substantial share of the CDC and WHO budgets. Predictably, she has been ruthlessly attacked by these heavily armed forces in many disguises to prevent public attention to her recently published book, Plague of Corruption, and attendant interviews on internet platforms. This, not "misinformation," is why Plandemic has been yanked from public view.
The chorus to discredit her has cynically focused on her efforts to discover the cause of chronic fatigue syndrome, a profoundly disabling condition that has long eluded solution by medical science. She and Ruscetti thought they had discovered a viral cause and published a hopeful paper, but efforts by other scientists to detect the suspect murine virus failed. Accordingly, a larger, 9-laboratory confirmatory study including Ruscetti and Mikovits was conducted, concluding that there had been false positives in the original data from accidental contaminants of the fluids examined. Ruscetti and Mikovits co-authored the non-confirmation paper, and CFS remains a mystery. This normal, responsible scientific process has been egregiously misrepresented by the Power Protectors as "claims" that were "discredited" by other scientists.
Of immediate importance, Mikovits is now challenging the official covid-19 narrative and draconian government response - as are many other bioscience and medical professionals - which will be litigated soon in lawsuits now exploding.

- In our May 8 celebration of VE Day, US government celebrants failed to acknowledge - must less credit - the Soviet Union, which effectively defeated the German war machine in the Battle of Stalingrad from August 1942 through February 1943, over two years before our Normandy invasion. In this heroic standoff the Soviets suffered over a million casualties but finally prevailed after holding off the German assault long enough to trap them in the Russian winter, and choked off their supply lines. Altogether, it is estimated that Russia suffered some 26 million deaths in WWII compared with our deaths of about a half million. Our failure to recognize that reflects the pathological narcissism of American culture that continues to blind us and preserve our hubris and other psychological immaturities that haunt the world with death and destruction.
- This led to discussion of US misrepresentation of heroism as willingness to invade and kill other people not in self-defense but in defense of "our interests" in other peoples' countries to secure their resources for theft and exploitation by "our" multinational corporations. In contrast, we provided examples of real heroes who took great personal risks for the protection and wellbeing of others rather than their defeat and conquest. We need to learn to distinguish these and honor mature manifestations of heroism, not the risk-taking of war glamorized by films and video games, which in fact reinforce our national mental illnesses of belligerence and criminality.
- And our mindless belligerence is losing influence in the world. Our belligerent Secretary of State Mike Pompeo recently visited Israel to persuade them away from a growing relationship with China, Russia is the new sheriff in Syria, and Iran is principal arbiter in Iraq despite our best efforts to bully, intimidate and cripple this much more mature culture that has endured for thousands of years. We are even losing pre-eminence as a weapons supplier. To protect themselves against the US/NATO threat, both Russia and China have developed superior weapons. Our own profit-driven capitalist MIC has developed far less since it is more profitable to simply keep direct and proxy wars raging that require constant ordnance and ammunition replacement, requiring little or no R&D and retooling expenditures.
- The immaturity of America is no more clearly represented than the personality of our impulsive, inarticulate, arrogant, unstable, incompetent president. We now see a virtual carbon copy in Brazilian President Bolsonaro. In his 15-month reign of arrogant impulsiveness, 12 ministers have been fired or resigned. The Trump administration has also been a comedy of musical chairs, while the few survivors in both administrations have been grossly incompetent family members. Bolsonaro's sons are given multiple roles for which they are eminently unqualified and Jared Kushner - related to the virulently racist Israeli settler community - is entrusted with responsibility for the Israel/Palestine White House desk. Both show flagrant disregard for the environment and looming climate catastrophe, and recognize no responsibility for humankind beyond their own borders and short-term interests. Bolsonaro's approval ratings have plummeted to 25%, and he is likely feeling the political heat since popular ex-president Lula da Silva was released late last year from prison where he had been conveniently housed on questionable charges during the last election. Even imprisoned, Lula polled double the popularity of Bolsonaro.
Feature story: Ever-suspicious of health-compromising machinations of industry in development and promotion of GMOs, EMF radiation, and proliferating vaccinations, Dr. Joseph Mercola - whose website receives 1.9 million novel visits per month, comparable with those of the National Institutes of Health - is widely perceived by the public as someone worth listening to. In this interview he discusses the covid-19 pandemic with Dr. Francis Boyle, Professor of International Law at the University of Illinois, who wrote the 1989 US implementing legislation to establish US compliance with the international Biological Weapons Convention, legislation that prohibits bioweapons production punishable by life imprisonment.
Dr. Boyle has been blacklisted by the MSM ever since he revealed the US biological warfare laboratory at Ft. Detrick, MD as the probable origin of anthrax mailed to key senators following 9/11 who were resisting adoption of the Patriot Act. He was proven right, but unsurprisingly, the responsible parties were never identified. An initial patsy was framed, then exonerated, and a second conveniently "suicided" just before trial that would have exposed the illegal program to judicial discovery. We had deadly biological pathogens then and have continued their development ever since. Through an estimated $100 billion program since 9/11, it is likely that a variety have now been tailored for specific purposes.
Boyle explains that covid-19 is almost certainly a bioweapon built upon the previous SARS bioweapon with "gain-of-function" properties, a project involving collaboration between our BSL3* lab at the University of North Carolina, the Wuhan BSL4 lab, an Australian lab providing HIV features, and a nanotechnology specialist who heads Harvard's Department of Chemistry. The collaboration is documented by co-authorship of published scientific journal papers as well as financial contracts including a large NIH grant to the Wuhan laboratory.
Mercola adds skepticism from an additional source: government manipulation of data and misrepresentation of risk used to justify radical social and economic measures that will surely produce grave economic effects.
Both agree that the event - whether intentional or opportunistic - is being manipulated to justify increased political control and provide the wealthy with opportunity to exploit the working and middle class by acquiring distressed assets at bargain prices. They end with discussion of potential legal action against the perpetrators of this huge, highly consequential conspiracy and fraud, with agreement that all BSL3 and BSL4 labs must be closed down immediately and forever as existential threats to ourselves and humanity.

Ilhan Omar has betrayed our anti-imperial expectations by signing an AIPAC-drafted letter to Secretary of State Pompeo calling for extension of sanctions against Iran, for which there is no justification and which is supported by the government's standard list of flagrant lies, which we identify and deconstruct. Eduardo attributes this capitulation to the DNC's lineup of opponents to unseat her in the primary.
- We report the bizarre invasion of Venezuela by (supposedly 3) teams of "Silver Corps" mercenaries led by former Green Beret Jordan Goudreaux, who received a $200 million contract from US-declared "president" Juan Guiado. Among one team of 10, 8 were killed and 2 captured. Silver Corps had provided security for the almost equally bizarre concert sponsored by flamboyant billionaire Richard Branson in Columbia last near along the Venezuelan border. Eduardo described the impenetrable Venezuelan jungle and terrain that is both indefensible and virtually impossible to traverse.

We discuss the threatened annexation of the West Bank by Netanyahu and Gantz agreement, which would create a "one-state" solution that Israel could no longer deny is apartheid unless Palestinians are provided full civil and human rights as equal citizens. Based on his platform recommendations for the Green Party, Jack would advocate this as a condition of US acceptance of annexation, without which Israel fears to proceed. Eduardo believes Israel will never accept Palestinian equality no matter what.

Feature story. Last week we reported two California studies that finally collected population prevalence data, which found low prevalence in general population samples in which the virus had circulated for at least two months as well as low morbidity and mortality rates among people who had contracted the virus indicated by the presence of antibodies. It is further learned that Dr. Faudi had known these rates from Chinese studies by late January, didn't report this until February 28, and then did so only in a medical journal rather than a public press conference for the MSM, and has still not done so as economic hardships have continued unabated for another two months. Rather than coming from him, it was revealed by US News from his medical journal paper. And he disclosed in a companion commentary to the research paper that the deaths occurred almost entirely among patients with serious underlying comorbidities such as elderly patients in nursing homes. It is thus noteworthy that doctors have been instructed to list covid-19 as primary cause-of-death when many have testified they would ordinarily list the underlying cause such as heart or lung disease with influenza as only secondary or contributory. So what's the agenda here?
A formal demand for investigation has now been filed against Dr. Fauci, the NIAID, and the University of North Carolina, which Dr. Boyle implicated in collaborative work with the Wuhan BSL4 bioweapons lab in our second program on this topic. The complaint charges Dr. Fauci, the NIAID, and UNC with registering a patent for any product of this research (e.g., vaccines or treatments) for personal gain. This was challenged in 2013 when the Supreme Court ruled it illegal to patent genetic products, whereupon their project moved to the Wuhan laboratory under at least partial US government funding through a NIH grant.
Had Fauci publicly announced the modest risks of covid-19, much of the worldwide economic devastation might have been avoided. I provide audio clips of public anger and police suppression from around the world and indicate the exposure to vulture capitalism this provides.

- Seemingly unprepared despite the January meeting of DoD and CIA top brass with the President anticipating the pandemic, Navy functioning has been seriously disrupted including high-level conflicts. One carrier Captain allowed his crew ashore in the Phillipines for health protection, and was relieved of his command for doing so by the Secretary of the Navy, who himself has now been relieved of his office with the Captain now reinstated. Another vessel bound for duty to harrass Venezuela hasn't made it past San Diego due to widespread covid-19 aboard.
- The US is conducting extensive and very aggressive military assault exercises in Saudi Arabia only miles from Iran across the Persian Gulf, and we wonder why. To intervene against the Saudi defeat and flight from Yemen? to relocate KSA's fleeing US-backed AQAP allies to Syria or Iraq? To threaten the Iran-backed Iraqi militias resolved to push the US out? To threaten Iran against closing the Straight of Hormuz should we attack them? We must wait and watch.
- Finally, we examine outrageous Israeli propaganda incorporated into the Netflix series Fauda now playing in the US, and provide corrective information about realities the series flagrantly misrepresents.
Feature story: covid-19 continued. This begins with a short interview clip with Minnesota Senator Jensen, also a practicing MD, who reports unorthodox CDC directives that will spuriously increase covid-19 death reports, followed by extensive interview clips from MIT and Stanford scientists who criticise the US covid-19 response.
Dr. Shiva (first name) from MIT identifies NIAID Director Fauci as a longtime medical bureaucrat embedded in the US pharmaceutical medical model which fails to train US doctors to understand the immune system, rejects the entire economic lockdown and self-isolation model as counter-therapeutic, and is suspicious of its likely long-term motives to serve the poorly regulated and legally unaccountable vaccination industry.
Dr. Jay (first name) from Stanford explains that the Fauci- and media-reported rates cannot be accurate since no population-based infection rate (the denominator in morbidity and mortality ratios) has been determined, a project he is currently working on, gathering data in Santa Clara County (San Jose & Silicon Valley), California. He was also dumbfounded that the economy had been shut down before these facts were known. These interviews were recorded about a month ago so I awaited the results of their study - published days ago - to include both together.
The SC County data found covid-19 antibodies, indicating infection, in 50 of 3,300 samples from self-selected subjects responding to a county-wide Facebook ad. Adjusting to match subject and county demographics yielded an infection rate of 1-2%, and extrapolating to the county population of 1.9 million yielded an estimated infection prevalence of 50,000-80-000. Using the midpoint in this range predicts a morbidity risk of about 1 per 1,900 and mortality risk of about 1 per 19,000. A simultaneous parallel study in Los Angeles County conducted by USC scientists found comparable rates, as have studies elsewhere (Germany, Iceland, Spain) now being reported.

- Santa Clara County recorded the first covid-19 death in the US in mid-January, so the virus had circulated there at least 3 months before the above data were collected.
- The socialist countries of Cuba, Russia and China have been the most helpful and generous toward other nations dealing with covid-19, extending their domestic socialist ethic internationally. Italy received substantial medical supplies from Russia, had already been leaning toward Russia, and has been the first EU country to sign on with China's Belt & Road Initiative. They helped more than Italy's fellow EU members, which should help along the growing EU schism.
- In contrast, the US has used the opportunity to squeeze Venezuela ever harder, transfering $32 million from Venezuela's Citibank account to a NY Federal Reserve account controlled by our appointed Maduro replacement, Juan Guaido. The US also proposes a "Democratic Transition Plan" (from Maduro to Guaido) for "sanctions relief" - an open attempt at extortion.
- The Atlantic Council (NATO's think tank) predictably describes Russian and Chinese help for Italy as propaganda devices but acknowledges that the US is losing the contest.
Feature story: All life forms are electrochemical systems evolved over millions of years within our planet's weak, consistently stable electromagnetic field. It therefore requires no stretch of the imagination to anticipate disruptions of micro-environmental, cellular-level organic processes caused by our recent, sudden introduction of artificially generated electromagnetic fields and pulsed radiation. This has been recognized and studied by science for almost 50 years. Several sources of harm have been identified, but just as the carcinogenity of tobacco smoking was covered up by the cigarette industry, and the toxicity of food plants genetically engineered to tolerate poisons such as glyphosate (Round-Up) that kills everything else in the field on its way to our morning corn flakes has been covered up by industrial agriculture, the telecommunications industry, ever-voracious commercial snoopers, and government surveillance agencies have covered up the disruptive effects of EMF radiation on living beings from insects to birds (both of which avoid proximity to cell towers) to ourselves.
The rapidy proliferating COVID-19 pandemic coincides in places and timing with the widespread rollout of 5G EMF transmission equipment, and peculiar symptoms described by treating physicians in 5G cities match documented effects of EMF radiation. One such effect, for example, is altered porosity of the hemoglobin molecule through "voltage-gated calcium channels" that affect its capacity to bind with oxygen molecules, without which red blood cells cannot efficiently distribute oxygen from the lungs throughout the body. Puzzled physicians have reported covid-19 patients suffering suffocation despite normally functioning lungs without the fluid congestion associated with pneumonia.
EMF effects upon biological systems have been studied extensively by Dr. Martin Pall, Professor Emeritus of Biochemistry and Basic Medical Science at Washington State University. He recently posted a concise description, which I read for listeners along with some commentary as connective tissue. His post is complete with lists of key published research citations, for which I provide interested listeners the internet source that has all the links.

Whether intentional, accidental or simply opportunistic, the Deep State is busy exploiting the chaos, confusion and economic constriction to its advantage both domestically and internationally. Dylan Radigan describes how the Congressional response will again transfer assets from horizontal distribution across our society into concentrated control by the wealthy, and how the public is once again betrayed by both political parties with no more than rhetorical distinctions between them.
Including excerpts from a Grayzone livestream, we also examine how the crisis is being used to further attack our international economic competitors and socialist political systems we have targeted for destruction, while rather than collapsing in defeat, these are displaying their character and courage before the eyes of the world and reflect the accelerating, tectonic worldwide power shift occurring to which our political class, MSM and general public appear almost entirely oblivious.

In response to attempts to dismiss international attorney Francis Boyle for having given an interview to Infowars, I describe his long, distinguished career of bedeviling the empire with too much of what Nietsche called "a little truth that screameth too loudly." Boyle has been blacklisted by the Deep State ever since exposing that the anthrax mailed to two key Senate leaders following 9/11 - and five others who died - originated in our Ft. Detrick bioweapons lab in Frederick, MD, obviously mailed by a US government agent, not a "terrorist." This successfully intimidated Congress into slamming through the US Patriot Act and the increased surveillance/security state that followed.
This has forced Dr. Boyle to turn to alternative media outlets. ("The Right" has as much right to facts as "The Left," but Jones' interview was admittedly terrible. He obviously had no comprehension of the facts presented, interrupted constantly, and dissolved into the hysterical indulgences that apparently keep his dollars flowing in.) Fortunately, Boyle gave other interviews to rational, well informed alternative journalists, and I included another following his discovery of four peer-reviewed scientific papers that conclusively support his suspicions, connecting Wuhan with US gain-of-function bioweapons research.
(It will be important to compare these studies with a hastily published paper from the Scripps Research Institute in La Jolla, stating "It is improbable that SARS-CoV-2 emerged through laboratory manipulation," which sounds much like the false "intelligence community" claim of "confidence" that Russia hacked the DNC server. "It is possible that a progenitor of SARS-CoV-2 jumped into humans," they speculate, possibly from pangolins or bats. It may be noteworthy that Scripps is a private research organization, heavily dependent on NIH grants, which has suffered financial setbacks with large-scale scientist layoffs in recent years. I'm sure these investigators knew full well what their funding source wanted them to report, gift-wrapped and delivered within carefully qualified language, sufficiently arcane to cover tendentious tracks. Dr. Boyle informed me in private communication that co-authors of this paper are associated with other academy-based US bioweapons labs.)
This interview material launches examination connecting other data points filling in the puzzle - although by no means completely - including our long historical use of biological warfare agents, employing Nazi and Japanese scientists given amnesty and family relocation to the US following WWII and the extensive use of "germ bombs" soon thereafter in the Korean War. I question the non-random locations where covid-19 first erupted, how this might have been orchestrated, and evidence that these were not all the same viral agents.
The broader context includes our recent assassination of Iranian General Suleimani, Iran's low-intensity warfare response, our looming loss of the Middle East to Iranian domination described by a YouTube exposition by Scott Ritter, and the possible function of this event as an engineered international threat against existential challenges to US empire.
Dr. Boyle notes the WSJ report of Big Pharma poised to exploit the public fear, and next week we'll note other vulture capitalists perched hungrily along our rooftops.
Broadcast in late March 2020, questions arise about the coronavirus pandemic originating in Wuhan, China - supposedly from a fish market featuring exotic meats - and now proliferating elsewhere but not apparently randomly, which leads to tentative alternative hypotheses about its origin, characteristics and geographic distribution. Adapting the classic French murder mystery formula, cherchez la femme (look for the woman) to my default formula for nearly any international crisis mystery, cherchez les etats unis (look for the United States), I begin with an interview recorded by another broadcaster a week or two earlier of Dr. Francis Boyle, Professor of International Law at University of Illinois Law School, who wrote the 1989 Biological Weapons Antiterrorism Act - the US implementing legislation for the 1972 Biological Weapons Convention - and authored the 2006 book, Biowarfare and Terrorism. Boyle is confident that this is a biological weapons agent built from the SARS virus with "gain of function" characteristics - e.g., more contagious and/or more lethal - that probably leaked from China's major bioweapons research facility which happens to be located in Wuhan.
This leads into an exploration and disclosure of US bioweapons research including some dozen labs in the US and some two dozen elsewhere around the world including Georgia and Ukraine right along Russia's borders. The initial coronavirus-19 epicenters of China and Iran seem more than coincidental since they correspond with a key American rival and a key American target. A Taiwanese virologist presents evidence that the COVID-19 virus was almost certainly American in origin, and, if the most virulent outbreak locations are more than accidental, I explore why Italy might also have been selected.
Jazz is America's only original contribution to world culture, which ironically grew from within the culture we cruelly kidnapped and enslaved, and arose within that culture first as blues, a vehicle of self-expression they refused to allow their rulers to crush. From it emerged an assertion of the right to genius among a long-demeaned people. We must all now adopt that same spirit of resistance and resiliency against the crushing forces we inflict violently around the world and insidiously at home, as well as the will and genius to transform our society with a liberated vision of empathy, intelligence, awareness, conscience and humility, hoping to earn the world's forgiveness.
I once represented the US at a 5-day United Nations drug abuse prevention conference in the Philippines. Following the final-day banquet musicians played a special number for each of the 13 Asia-Pacific countries in attendance. For the American they played The Saints Go Marching In, New Orleans style, and invited their American guest to demonstrate swing dancing to the lovely young Filipino dancers (I of course obliged). It struck me then that jazz best represents the potential for free interactive invention the rest of humankind once saw in us - the promise of America. Let's not continue to disappoint them.
This program uses excerpts from four interviews to focus on the recent revocation by Ecuador of asylum for Julian Assange and his immediate arrest by British authorities, no doubt a condition for the $10 billion loan to Ecuador announced in January by the IMF and its extortionist banking collaborators in Europe and Latin America.
We begin with a description by Assange on Democracy Now! of the methods, objectives and importance of Wikileaks to democracy, in particular its vast searchable database released on the DNC and Clinton campaign.
Jimmy Dore then follows with examples of DNC corruption exposed by these data that the MSM has steadfastly ignored – an obvious tactic to divert public attention from the content of the database to its origin through the fabricated Mueller Russiagate investigation. Dore displays the anger appropriate to these discoveries, an appropriate affect all too rare in the entranced American electorate.
Former British MP George Galloway, interviewed by Lee Camp, displays similar anger and contempt with the British government and media subservience to US manipulation and criminality in subverting fundamental international principles.
And we finish with an RT interview of Daniel Ellsberg relating this to his own persecution and prosecution for release of the Pentagon Papers. Ellsberg identifies this event as a grave threat not only to press freedom without which democracy is impossible but to those living in asylum everywhere throughout the world.
Immediately following the Israeli national election, this program focuses entirely on Israel. I include extensive clips from a speech by Netanyahu’s chief rival, General Benny Gantz, delivered to the annual AIPAC conference in Washington last month, and a segment from a 2006 speech by Israeli professor Nurit Peled-Elhanon, daughter of another Israeli general with very different views, Matti Peled. The newly formed Blue and White party of Gen. Gantz matched the Likud with 35 members each elected to the Knesset, but Netanyahu will no doubt be appointed PM by Israeli President Rivlin as best able to cobble together a coalition government. However, should Netanyahu be obliged to resign under pending indictment for fraud and corruption, Gantz seems now best positioned to replace him.
His speech reflected no daylight between the two candidates in their bloodthirsty racism and delusional vision of Israel. Gantz describes himself proud Chief of Staff during Israel’s genocidal 2014 “Protective Edge” assault on Gaza that killed some 2,200 trapped and helpless people, while rhapsodizing about their exemplary military morality, and boasts of being the last soldier to evacuate Lebanon in 2000, omitting mention that the IDF had illegally invaded and occupied southern Lebanon for 22 years, supported the horrific 1982 Sabra/Shatila massacre in Beirut that disgraced Ariel Sharon, and was retreating in defeat by the steadfast, asymmetric expulsive forces of Hezbollah, which was formed in 1982 and remains today Lebanon's defensive bulwark against Israeli aggression.
Professor Peled-Elhanon, sister of well-known Israeli-American Palestinian human rights proponent Miko Peled, describes her comprehensive published study of grotesque lies and racism universal in Israeli school books, addressing her question, “how can ordinary children be turned into monsters?”
I believe Martin Luther King should be honored not on his birth date but the date of April 4th, 1967 when he delivered his "Beyond Vietnam" speech declaring our country "the greatest purveyor of violence in the world," which I believe brought about his assassination exactly one year later on April 4, 1968 by the United States government. In this speech he moved beyond domestic civil rights and impermissibly challenged the methods and objectives of American empire, and had to be eliminated with its anniversary timed to deliver a message to other civil rights leaders who might be similarly inclined.
This was one of four government assassinations of transformative leaders in the 1960s that decisively ended a revolutionary movement, and we still remain today as he described us. We include clips from this speech and clips from an interview with William Pepper, the attorney who litigated a 1999 civil suit by the King family against Lloyd Jowers and the US government, conclusively establishing the facts of the assassination and the cover-up framing James Earl Ray. By commemorating Dr. King on his assassination date, citizens might learn the awful realities that have characterized American history from its beginnings through today, and might decide to stop it.
Comparing Democracy Now! clips of Glen Greenwald, President Trump and Phyllis Bennis regarding new Congresswoman Ilhan Omar's tweets on AIPAC money in politics, we discuss the depth of reach and tactics of the Israel lobby, its extortion methods to control Congress, its behind-the-scenes power plays to circumvent US electoral process, and its efforts to combat the BDS movement on university campuses with our own observed examples at UC Berkeley and the University of Oregon. We describe growing resentment and pushback, including Bennis' report of increasingly critical attitudes among Jewish Americans who no longer dependably support Israel in lockstep.
We then turn to Venezuela, describing US media distortions of conditions there and primary US/UK responsibility for their hardships through freezing their US- and UK-held assets, blocking their access to international credit, and withholding all their US Citgo petroleum revenues for redirection to Western-programmed, unelected, self-declared and Trump-anointed pseudo-president Guaido.
We then briefly report the recent Munich conference where VP Pence tried unsuccessfully to generate support for a Venezuelan coup, EU withdrawal from the JCPOA and support of US sanctions on Iran, and bellicosity toward Russia. Angela Merkel effectively slammed the door in his face, signaling that Europe no longer agrees to operate under the American thumb. As the North Atlantic imperium crumbles, the Russia/China/India/Iran coalition is rising - a development we have been following closely.
My first KEPW broadcast was a conversation with MIT graduate Joe Tyndall regarding 9/11. The complete improbability – in fact absurdity – of the official government pronouncements on the event had been immediately obvious to me as a psychologist from behavioral evidence, confirmed by the government actions that followed. When any clear-minded person recognizes a proffered explanation as a lie, the next logical step is a search for the truth and the motives behind the lie. Since millions of Americans shared my skepticism, many began examining available evidence and constructing theoretical models to more credibly account for the data. These were immediately discounted with knee-jerk regularity by all official sources as “conspiracy theories.” This further solidified recognition of a government cover-up.
Joe’s disbelief in the official story and subsequent search for truth was primarily based in physics. Joe explains how the conservation of energy principle provides conclusive evidence of the fraud. The sum of all potential and kinetic energy in the buildings, crashing airplanes and fires was vastly insufficient to account for the destruction and pulverization of 115,000 tons of concrete per building, the warping and severing of all structural steel supports, and extraordinarily high temperatures recorded in the debris pile for weeks thereafter. The official story, Joe explains, demands belief in the first documented violations of the fundamental laws of the physical universe in human history.
It is absolutely essential to understand this, since 9/11 has been used to justify violent, mass murderous imperial depredations of the Arab/Muslim world ever since in flagrant, non-stop violations of international law. It is noteworthy that Robert Mueller – now leading our witch-hunt to scapegoat and demonize Russia and distract from the illusion-devastating content of Hillary’s Wikileaked emails – was appointed FBI Director in August 2001, just in time to assume the duty of investigating 9/11 as an act of domestic terrorism. Rather than securing the crime scene – the first basic responsibility in any criminal investigation – the evidence was immediately gathered up and shipped for recycling to China. Need more be said about then or now?
We describe the 2017 US economic attack on Venezuela blocking its access to world financial markets, resulting in massive currency hyperinflation and steeply declining oil production and revenues then blamed on the Maduro government as justification for demanding regime change and declaring little-known and unelected Juan Guaido as new interim president. Guaido, who attended George Washington University and has been thoroughly trained in “color revolution” methods, has participated (CIA field-tested) in numerous violent anti-government demonstrations.
We must stop being surprised or allowing our perceptions to be manipulated by "news" when we need to recognize the same old recycled scripts decade after decade. Toward this awareness, we review the long history of Monroe Doctrine interventions in Latin America and the illegality of all these under international law. We contrast the familiar US media propaganda barrage with current realities in Venezuela where there are deliberately induced shortages of selected staple items but no starvation as hysterically reported, and life in the streets remains normal with large public demonstrations of support for Maduro.
Russia and China, with significant investments in Venezuela to protect, as well as major Middle East players Iran and Turkey, have declared support for Maduro against the US and its tagalong NATO and “Lima Group” neoliberal Latin American allies. As in Iraq, Syria, Libya, Yemen and potentially Iran, threats to the petrodollar appear the primary motive driving our aggression. Professor James Petras, who has studied Latin America extensively, fears another calamitous war, which may inflict the final blow to America’s fading empire. We include a Duran conversation recalling the Clinton administration’s criminal 1999 attack on Serbia, following which Serbia’s long, heroic resistance initiated declining US power, demonstrating to the world that the US is not automatically invincible and encouraging subsequent Afghan, Iraqi and Syrian resistance that have successfully frustrated our ambitions to dominate them.
As American citizens, we have the power and a duty to the rest of the world to not only put out the serial fires we create worldwide but to stop the arsonist.
I've stitched together a series of musical musings that reflect my state of mind about America, its history and stable existential state over time, and its future on this day of compulsory reflection. Holidays are ritual events not to be trivialized. The way in which they are treated reflects our collective soul, which I think needs improvement.

Our program first reviews key news this week. In Mexico a newly elected populist President Lopez Obrador was sworn in amid high hopes for significant change. Increased US forces in eastern Syria were announced, suggesting potential conflict with both Turkey and Russia if not reversed. A video was widely circulated of a young Palestinian man shot fatally in the back by Israeli gunfire in the West Bank just walking down the street, met with the usual impunity. Temple University announced that Dr. Eric Lamont Hill will not be penalized in any way for speaking the truth about Israel in the UN General Assembly. Two pending legislative bills in Congress designed to support Israeli interests were discussed, with supporters planning to sneak these into the must-pass budget bill. Congress abruptly voted to end support of the Saudi war upon Yemen, but with a dangerous loophole that allows US troops to remain to combat ISIS.
The second half of the show began with a Seymour Hersch disclosure on Democracy Now! that we are "conducting war" in 76 countries. This includes 53 of Africa's 54 countries. We then trace some background history including assassinatioins of Patrice Lumumba and Muammar Gaddafi to prevent pan-African independent resource development, and Clinton's secret support of Paul Kagame's 1994 invasion of Rwanda that launched the "conflict mineral" wars of central Africa capped by Obama's Hillary-driven destruction of Libya in 2011 which removed the last obstacle to our violent predation. This in turn has released the current flood of refugees into Europe who had previously found a home and a good life in Libya when fleeing violence, drought and poverty in the Sahel, eastern and southern Africa.
