Did you know that there is an invisible enemy within that needs to be acknowledged before it can be defeated? Nobody is immune. The effects of it show up in everyone’s life. It keeps things as they always were. It creates fear of the unknown. It allows ignorance to thrive. It’s called stasis. Stasis—that force […]
Remember the song, The Sound of Silence? Recently I watched a stunningly beautiful new rendition by the band, Disturbed. The power of the song demanded that I pay attention to the message. After hearing this song for years, I finally realized it spoke of two kinds of silences. The silence of quiet. The silence of […]
We all know we see what we believe. It’s not the other way around. Although we usually live as if it was. So here’s the question. If we want to live the fullest life possible and express the highest idea of ourselves, is it possible to do so by holding on to a past belief […]
In the past few years, I have learned something, which I knew, but didn’t appreciate as much as I do now. In fact, I am pretty sure that I haven’t fully appreciated it yet, but I am on the road to opening my eyes to the fact that I can’t see what I am looking […]

Del and I have been watching the Netflix series called The Crown. It’s so interesting to see the story of Queen Elizabeth’s life. As I watch it my admiration for Queen Elizabeth has grown tremendously. I suppose I was like other people in America, barely registering that there is a Queen, wondering how old is […]
Legend has it, Megan was born with a book in her hands. When she was a kid, her mom would ground her from reading in order to get her to do her chores. Megan’s dad — also an avid reader — introduced her to Tolkien in her late elementary years, and she never looked back. […]
The conference was over, and I was standing in line waiting for lunch. I was in a hotel/casino in Las Vegas. In Vegas, gambling is the product. They want you to gamble. They need you to gamble. There is almost nowhere you can go where there are not flashing lights, smoke, noise and lever pulling […]
When I looked at my iPhone screen, I saw the little red circle on the App Store icon that alerted me that a few apps needed to be updated. It showed the number as three, but when I opened the App Store, there were thirty-eight apps that had to be updated. I did the obvious. […]
I heard a story a few weeks ago that I can’t stop thinking about. Not because it is about potato chips, but because of what happens to them so that we can all get a perfect chip. After hearing the story, in my imagination, I turned the potato chips into thoughts. What if we did […]
For a long time I excused them by saying, “But they are so cute. And they keep the mouse and shrew population down.” For anyone not living in shrew territory. It’s not a harsh term for an angry woman, I am talking about those little buggers that dig in your garden. If you actually see […]
One morning last week, I had my earbuds in and was listening to podcasts while making the beds and getting the house ready for the day. Knowing that I had a coaching session with a client later that morning I realized that I would need my earbuds for the call. So I started looking for […]
What do John McWade, John Francis, Mother Theresa, Henry David Thoreau, Eckhart Tolle, Susan Lamont, and Morpheus have in common? They know the value of silence, quiet, white space. We have a plethora of evidence that silence, quiet, contemplation is necessary, not sorta necessary, but absolutely necessary, for our mental and physical health and yet, […]
Seth Godin says that either we are in resistance or going forward. It’s Steven Pressfield’s word that he is using. Admittedly, not anyone’s favorite subject, but something we all need to talk about at some point. However, I think you will find that we approach the idea of predator differently than you might expect. We’ll cover how they operate, what tools they use, how we identify them, how to protect ourselves, and how do we defeat a predator forever - without becoming on ourselves. It’s a podcast about freedom. Definitely shifting the story!

We all have thoughts about how we could have done things better. What if what you did was the perfect thing to do. She teaches how to shift the story into one that releases the desire of our hearts. Barb takes us into the world, of tapping, flower essences, herbs, and love for ourselves and our lives. We both agree - we have the right and the ability to shift any story into one that brings happiness and fulfillment. Come with us as we shift the story together.
Beginning with the right premise means we end up with a correct answer. This is true in every aspect of life. But when we are attempting to live our lives based on our highest understanding of Truth then it becomes critical. In these Reality Shifts my husband, Del Piper, and I explore such seemingly diverse subjects as Chinese healing, lines of demarcation, qualities, Mad Bear and the False Face Society, just to name a few. This time we focus on the idea of possession, protection, and provision and touch on the four steps to shifting from a material perception to a spiritual one. What’s the difference between being possessed, and possession. Let’s find out.

Kauser believes government can work for social benefit, and she demonstrates what that looks like every day in her work and in her life. I heard Kauser speak at Creative Mornings in Cleveland, and was moved by both her business and personal message. I think you will be too.
The title of this podcast is inspired by the Don Juan quote in The Power of Silence. “A crucial point of reference is freedom of perception; it is intent, it is the spirit, the somersault of thought into the miraculous; the act of reaching beyond our boundaries and touching the inconceivable.” In this podcast, we continue to trace Del's experiences with the Native American teachers that have guided him through the years and entwine what he learned with the principles of The Shift. As I record this it’s the holiday season. But no matter when you listen, know that this is my gift from me to you. Let's remember who we really are, so we can shift our stories out of any version that is not working for us and into the light. We are the object that divine light shines upon, and in this world, we are the light - the emitters of light, the reflectors of light. As light, we bring light to every situation. We are the beauty of the light revealing all that is good, and we are the light uncovering all that needs to be cleaned.
When I asked Kyla Plaxton to be on the podcast, she told me she had a story to tell if I thought my listeners would want to hear it. My answer was "yes, " and that is what she does for the first part of this podcast. She is compelling in her honesty and transparency. Kyla found a way to rewrite a story that could have shut down her life, and instead opened it up to service and happiness.
Do the right thing. How many times have we heard this, and believe that this is exactly what we should do? But, what price would we pay to do it? You may not know who David Frakt is by name, but you will remember what he did, and after hearing this podcast, I know you will be even more grateful that he is out there always choosing to do the right thing.
Do you like simple, straightforward advice and suggestions, then my guest today will satisfy your craving. Patty DeDominic has built three successful companies, sold two of them, and is taking what she learned and used it to coach others. The title of this podcast is inspired by the Don Juan quote in The Power of Silence. “A crucial point of reference is freedom of perception; it is intent, it is the spirit, the somersault of thought into the miraculous; the act of reaching beyond our boundaries and touching the inconceivable.” In this podcast, we trace Del's experiences with the Native American teachers that have guided him through the years and entwine what he learned with the principles of The Shift. Kara Gott Warner loves her job so much she can’t believe that she gets paid for doing it. Isn’t that something we all want to experience? For as long as I can remember I have been obsessed with the idea that perception and choices determine what we experience. So, what perception and choices did Kara choose? What job is she doing that she loves so much? It just might be one that you like!
As I listened to this podcast to prepare it for its re-release, I was caught up again in the simplicity of consciously choosing the reality we want to experience. Of course, it means we have to know ourselves well enough to make that shift, but we always have the right, and ability to do so. The why of its importance is sometimes so obvious we forget, and that’s what I think this series does - reminds us of the reasons, and the outcome. Once again, Del and I cover a multitude of subjects, including hypnotism, struggle, states of perception, and what happens when we shift. What changes? It’s a subtle but important answer. Since we do get to choose the reality we perceive, let’s bring ourselves to the point of view of the best reality we can imagine. In this way, we might touch the edge of big R Reality, and experience some of the infinite of its care for all of its expressions, unlimited and consistent care.
Have you ever heard someone say something from across a table, and you wanted to know more? That’s what happened when I heard my guest Karen Poirier-Brode speak. I heard enough to be intrigued. Karen was an OBGYM, and now she is doing a podcast on scrapbooking? How? Why? Karen has a wonderful shift story about choosing to say yes in order to move on from something she loved to something else. Did she find joy? How hard was it? Sometimes we get to choose our shift, and sometimes it chooses us. It’s what we do next that counts.
Although sometimes I build websites for clients, it’s on a small scale, so I wanted to find someone I could refer people to that I trusted and could work with. The day I decide to look for someone, I received a business email and one of the links in the information was to Raubi Perilli. I was delighted when I saw that Raubi was doing exactly what I would do if my primary business was putting small businesses online. I wrote to her, she wrote right back, we talked, and the rest is history. No, this podcast is not about building websites. It is about starting somewhere and allowing the steps to take you towards a life that expresses who you are.
I WATCHED AS Christine Bajorek uplifted a whole room by simply walking into it. When I asked her to be a guest on this podcast, her only worry was would she bring enough value to the listeners. I laughed. You will hear me laugh a lot in this podcast because Christine does what seems impossible […]
BEFORE I EVEN STARTED the recording of this podcast, Daniel J. Lewis had given me a tip that will make every podcast I do from this point on better. And at the end, he gave me another. That’s what he does. He takes podcasts from average to amazing. Moving from average to amazing is not just about podcasting, it is about life. And, of course, there is a story behind this. Because Daniel didn’t start out being a podcaster, and along the way, he made some hard choices about what was right for him and his stress level. He learned how to say no to something to say yes to something better. We all could use this advice. So, let's listen to what Daniel has to say.
One day I heard that internal voice tell me to find Kate Potter. That was easy; her Namaste Yoga has been my go to practice since it first appeared on a TV show about ten years ago. What was much harder for me was asking her to be a guest on this podcast? Why would she say yes? I have adored her work, and therefore her, for years. But she did, and her story is even more incredible than I expected - which is saying A LOT! Kate shares her shift. It’s lovely, profound, and in the end deeply inspiring. If you haven’t yet heard of Kate, you are in for a treat. If you already know who she is, well, you wish I would just let Kate talk. Okay, here you go!
FOLLOWING THE INSTRUCTIONS in my registration package at a podcasting conference not to eat lunch alone, I spoke up and asked the beautiful woman getting ready to sit alone, if she would like to have lunch with me. Chel tells an amazing life story, and in this podcast, she shares many of the tools and ideas that she has used to turn her life around. know you will find them inspiring and life-changing.
DOES CHANGE ALWAYS BRING a gift? What if it is an unwanted change? Writer Nancy Christie answered that question for herself, and her answer will help all of us as we experience changes we would not have chosen for ourselves. In this podcast Nancy explains how she dealt with the anger she felt when she found out her mother had cancer. As a result, a new writing career opened up for her. That meant she had to find a way to overcome her shyness. Listen to how she not overcame it and found the blessing in change.
This is one of my favorite reality shift podcasts. We were a little ahead of the podcast movement because we recorded this in 2008, but re-releasing it only makes me love it more. The question, what reality do you live in really is huge! And Del and I attempt to answer not only the question but provoke us all into choosing the reality we want to live within. We ask the question - what if this is a game? What would that mean? What kind of game is it? Is there a way out? We explore ideas ranging from quantum physics, nature studies, spirituality, and Native American wisdom. It’s the first in a two-part series - all about shifting perception and thereby shifting the reality you live in, with the intent of shifting to Big R Reality, the reality of the infinite.
WHEN WE STARTED TALKING about money and perception, we immediately bonded. Deborah Williams as a CPA and me, as a used-to-be Certified Financial Planner discovered our shared point of view; the mistakes people make about money. About life. About day to day living because we forget what comes first. In this Podcast, Deb shares her […]
RICHARD JONES SAID YES to ideas that completely changed his life, bringing it full circle into a life that he is thoroughly enjoying. He doesn’t only just say yes; he pro-actively asks if he can share. And that’s how I met him. I asked a Facebook group of podcasters if anyone had a story they wanted to share. Richard said yes he did - and I agreed! Here's what Richard told me: I recently had to make a major shift in my life. I worked for my hometown newspaper for 25 years. Things changed greatly in that time, and the job I thought I would have at this point in my career no longer exists as the newspaper got more corporate and eventually became managed out of town. So when they offered me a buyout two and a half years ago, I jumped at it. Since it came about suddenly, I had no idea what to do next. It's a story of how one thing leads to another, and how my interest in local history led me to develop the podcast, True Crime Historian, where I now have an international audience.

I met my guest Les Roberts at a writers retreat. An author with thirty-three books to his name, he was there to teach us how to write good characters. But, he did more than that. He shared marvelous stories that captured us all as we listened. If you have ever thought about making a shift or two in your life, and worried about what the outcome might be … listen to Les, as we shift the story, together.
This is about the perception and actuality of money. So many of us are confused and confounded by it. It’s no wonder. We have been trained that we need to get it and keep it, and yet the worldview game is set up to stop most of us from having it. Obviously we need to shift our perception about wealth. And that is what we are going to do on this shift shuttle. The wider the river, the bigger the flood. Let’s open the floodgates of wealth, Let’s be bold and follow our dreams, enjoying the process. Let’s be willing to pay attention to the little things and be grateful for what is already present. Let’s choose our money AND our life!
THE MOMENT I started listening to my guest Amy Harrison’s podcast I started smiling, and it never stopped. I became an immediate fan of her advice and her outlook on life. Amy lives and shares her creative ideas and joy as a copywriter, but it is so much more than that. Her life has taken many twists and turns but creativity and being happy are the guideposts. I bet you won’t be able to take the smile off of your face either as you listen to the wisdom and inspiration Amy shares as we shift the story together.
Years ago, when Del and I started thinking about making video’s for his business and then put them up on his website we were both completely stumped. We had absolutely no idea how to do it. So I did the obvious thing, I googled it, and was lucky enough to find my guest today who really, really, really knew how to do it. Not only that, he knows how to explain it. Who is this magic person? It’s Dave Kaminski, the founder of Web Video University. But, this podcast is not about making videos, it is about shifting stories, and Dave’s story about he built the life he wants to live can be applied to whatever you want to do. The primary key that he shares? Do it, and be it, with authenticity. No matter what kind of life you are designing for yourself, the tips Dave shares are powerfully effective!
Have you heard of Heaven Letters? If not, you will want to know all about them after listening to my guest today, Gloria Wendroff. Gloria and I have been internet friends for over 18 years so it was a great pleasure to hear her voice and her stories, and I know you will feel the same after listening to her. You’ll learn how she started writing heaven letters and teaching god writing. She even shares things that god wants us to know - that are incredibly powerful and freeing. You’ll have to listen to the very end to hear what God says about karma and forgiveness! It is most likely not what you expect. Sometimes you may have to listen very closely to hear Gloria, but it will be worth it. I promise.
This podcast is the second in the series where we explore the relationship between Quantum Physics and Spirituality, and the idea of living from the within to the without. I start by asking Del to review the idea that physicists begin by exploring the “without” and his answer should inspire even more questions. We hope it will lead you into deeper and deeper thoughts about the essence of life, and find joy in the knowledge that there is much more to it than what we see with our eyes. Listen
My guest today is Cynthia Sue Larson. Cynthia’s website is Reality Shifters. With a name and focus like that, you would think we would have found each other years ago. And yet, it was just a few months ago that we discovered that the idea that we can, should, and do shift our realities and that we have a choice to shift our story was what we both have been talking about our whole lives. It was exciting for us, and as you listen to Cynthia I know it will be for you too. Cynthia’s background as a physicist makes it even more enticing.
Prophecy and revelation, the magic of the number six, inner knowing and faith are just a few of the symbols and messages that Del and I discuss in this podcast about the month of June. That’s not all! We also talk about the porcupine, the moon of June, self-fulling prophecy, and dragons! We all pass through June once a year. Why not fully understand the messages, and symbols that it brings. It's a practice that is easy to follow and one everyone is the world can do at the exact same time. And that's pretty cool! Shifting the story together!
One day I told my husband that I was going to add more into my life that I love, because I love it, and only for that reason. The next time I checked my email I found an email from someone I did not know, offering a retreat with all the creative things I had just said I wanted to add more of into my life. And I could drive to it! Of course I had to ask the email writer Claudia Taller to be a guest on this podcast. She had read my mind. Claudia writes and talks about a life spent exploring creativity. Write because you want to, draw because it moves you, in fact do what moves you, no matter what it is. Live creatively! Isn’t she speaking our language? How did she come to the decision to live that kind of life? What shifts did she, and does she make in order to do so? Listen and she’ll share the how and why on this podcast as we shift the story together.
In this podcast I talk about the meaning behind Jonah and the whale, plus a little Native American and gaming symbolism thrown in. It’s about purpose, and living our unique spiritual blessing, instead of running, hiding, lying, and waiting. And I tell two of my favorite jokes to get us started. How are you using […]
Laurie Brown and I met on Instagram. I fell instantly in love with her posts filled with birds, and the beautiful jewelry she crafts in remembrance of them. I loved that she symbolized a heart based way to look at life, and once I talked to her I loved it even more. Laurie chooses her life based on what is most important to her, not what the world says is important. Laurie asks us all the question, what life do we want to live, what kind of world, what are our hearts calling for us to do. How she got there is a wonderful story, and what she is doing with it is lovely. You have to listen to this women who lives with the birds and let her inspire you.
My guest today. Sherri Cannon. has run her successful coaching practice for over 20 years. So of course you can expect wonderful words of wisdom and deep insight learned from coaching thousands and thousands of people, and you certainly will hear that. But, you will also hear how she learned to stop hiding her “shout” and say no to environments and demands that didn’t fit who she is, relax into what she wanted instead of working to overcome it, and what happened to move her into listening mode. Everyone of us has at one time or another tried to fit in, instead of being who we really are and designing a life that fits us. This podcast will help move you to a new place of courage and awareness. Find your shout with Sherri as we shift the story together.
I admit it, this is one of my favorite months. Not just because it is “our” month, and I have so many friends and family born in May, not just because it can be one of the most beautiful months of the year - no, it’s more than that. I love that May is the listener - thinker. Listening, and thinking sometimes appear to be lost arts in our hurry up and shut up world that we live in. In this month we can practice the idea of silence, and discover its treasures. In this podcast we celebrate May by talking about the symbols of the listening woman, the color black, deer, the hawk, ant, and armadillo. Plus the number 5 with all the symbols of what it means in many cultures around the world. I love that we can always count on the silence to hear any message that we need to hear. It’s that message, coming from within, that carries truth and power. Let’s continue to practice the arts of listening and thinking, it can only make our world a much better place, and our lives rich beyond measure.
Somewhere in the middle of this podcast with my guest Roxana Lewis you may be be saying to yourself “Wow - you’re kidding me.” By the end, you will be even more amazed. Seriously. Not kidding. Roxana went from considering herself an ordinary and normal person to discovering she isn’t, and neither are any of us if we so choose. She even explains what to do to find our non-normal and extraordinary self. Here's a hint about something you will find in this podcast. Roxana says, "DISRUPT AGING. While some think of aging as decline, I think of it as growth. There are those that say older people are burdens, I think I am a contributor." I don’t want to give too much away. Get ready to hear how she shifted her story, and let her inspire us to make the same kind of shift in our lives.
In this podcast we explore the relationship between Quantum Physics and Spirituality. Are they the same? Are they different? How and why? Because there is so much to explore and learn from, we divided the subject into two podcasts. In this one we begin with the idea that everything begins within, and then we see it without. Whether we are talking about quantum physics or the human condition or spiritual big R Reality, this is true. Since this is true, it becomes imperative to understand what is happening within. So come with me, and as we Shift The Story … together.
IMAGINE TRADING THE LIFE of a successful doctor for a life of a writer and publisher. That is exactly what Scott, otherwise known as Dr. Zed, did. Scott tells a powerful story of why he choose to shift his life. It is a story you will not forget. He lives the idea that we must first define our purpose and let everything else flow from there. I know you will be inspired to reexamine exactly what you want to do with your life after listening to Dr. Zed.
Ah, the beauty of new beginnings. That’s April! This month we talk about the necessity to begin from the right premise. That we are all one. That we can stand within the center of the circle, or the center of the pause. That we can and must "see" much more than meets the eye. We also cover the number twelve in great detail, the collapse of the wave function, and what Mad Bear taught Del. Plus, the hawk, the east, the event horizon and black holes, Taiji, and the somersault into the inconceivable. When Del and I began this series on the months, we started with April, a perfect place for new beginnings. Our intent was, and is, to expand the framework of Perception and in doing so, reveal more proof that we are all One. Del begins this podcast with a discussion of 3 different kinds of symbols. A great place to begin as we shift the story together.
HAVE YOU EVER found yourself thinking of someone that you haven’t seen for years, and the desire to talk to them won’t go away? I couldn’t stop thinking about about my guest Karen Malik. So I went searching, and when I found her I discovered why she was on my mind. In this podcast Karen shares what she did when her whole life unexpectedly fell apart. What she passes on to us is profound, important, and ultimately filled with promise. What would you do if everything that had defined your life was gone. One of the first thing that Karen does is pause. And listen. And now is following her new call. Her willingness to listen to guidance is an inspiration. We met years ago when Karen was a facilitator and fabulous teacher at the retreat center where Del and I met. As we said goodbye that year, we knew we would do something else together in the future. I am delighted that this podcast is part of that future. Let's listen to Karen explain how she stayed true to herself in spite of devastating outside circumstances.
Have you ever wondered if you are allowed to have a good life? Wondered if you are allowed to be who you want to be, do want you desire, live a life that makes you happy? I will tell you stories in this podcast, and give you practical tools, that will help eliminate this idea forever. Instead of waiting for the universe to bop you over the head with a 2 x 4 you can quickly see the signs of needing to make a new choice, and easily shift to the path that is calling you. It's all about perception because as you and I know, it always is. We have to control our preconceived ideas to see what is really going on, in order to see, receive, and use what is already present in our life as a gift. You'll laugh at some of these stories, maybe recognize stories like them in your life. Most of all, we all move forward into the life we were meant to live, together.
Today my guest is Karen Caplan the President and CEO of Frieda’s, a family run produce business responsible for bringing almost every interesting vegetable and fruit you can think of to your table. The company, and the founder who happens to be Karen’s mom Frieda, are featured in a new movie called Fear No Fruit. Great title for an inspiring story! Watch it, you will be amazed. It is a shift the story adventure. In this podcast Karen talks about how she deals with stress both within the business and personally. She shares how she learned to ask for help, and what happened because she did. Karen is well known in the produce world, a long time friend, and one of the first people to take The Shift Course way back when. I am delighted that she took the time to talk with me about her process of shifting a story and the power of conscious choice.
This month it is all about March and its symbols. The eagle, the number 3, the color brown, the three jewels of the body, the fact that the observer and the observer are one, and energy. Del also covers the states of mind called, Alpha, Theta, Beta, and Delta. Which one do we live in? Which one are we aiming to live in? We talk more about illusion, what is it? Plus why chasing goals is even more than a waste of time, and the big question … what is Truth?
My guest today is Mary Akers. Mary lives in the world of writing. Or said another way, she lives, and makes her living, in the world of art. What does that mean? How does she do it? Why does she do it? How does she deal with resistance? All questions we explored together, with Mary providing wonderful insight into the process of living creatively. And since this is a podcast about shifting I asked her what other shifts has she made in her life other than what she does around art, and her answer was menopause. Yep! What she says will surprise and delight you! Ready to find out what she said? Come with me as we shift the story together!
In this podcast I will take you through seven steps that will change the way you experience wealth. To make it easy, I'll use the word WEALTH to give you trigger words to help make this shift. For example, the first letter W - stands for WAKE UP. We wake up to the fact that wealth is all around us. We'll continue through the word, working on how we can shift our perception of wealth so that we will experience this truth consistently. You can listen straight through this podcast, or pause between each section, for few minutes or take a day and think through what you heard. Or perhaps play the whole thing over and over again for seven straight days. Which ever way you choose to work with this podcast, it will shift your perception about wealth, and that's a very good thing.
My guest today is Suzy Prudden. We start with a brief session on how we met (it involved big plastic rings and speaking). Then we settle into the many shifts that Suzy has made through out the years. She started in fitness - following in her mom’s footsteps - and then headed into her own territory, succeeding and selling businesses as she went along. Now, she has started another idea and after fifty years in business considers it the one she is going to love the most. She talks about money, success, failing, spirituality, and art. If you have ever wondered about the value of learning as you go - Suzy has stories that will answer that question.
My guest today is the prolific writer, and musician, J.Thorn. Whether you are a writer, or musician, or neither you will love what he has to say - with a little bit of laughter, a lot of wisdom. James talks about the practice of doing good. A simple, yet profound way to live. We discuss what he calls epic failure, and continuing on anyway. About the decision to not stop and to keep on with persistence and grit. How to be smart about your work. And most of all, trust the universe. I know you will be inspired by the way he chooses to see the world, and live his life. If each of us takes just a tiny piece of what he shares and makes it part of our lives, we would all experience a changed world. James has a new book that he co-wrote with Joanna Penn. Be sure to check it out in the show notes.
February is the month we focus on Honoring The Truth In All Things. It is the month of the Accessor - Appraiser. These ideas don’t just apply to those born in February, it’s for all of us as we move through the month. This podcast was recorded in 2010 which is why we mention the year of the tiger. (Yes, we were ahead of the podcast movement.) This year, 2016, it will be the year of the monkey. All symbols that help us find the purpose of our life. As in all the month podcasts - only twelve after all - we focus on everything ranging from what the color of the month, the animal of the month, the number of the month, notes from the Chinese, Tom Brown, Stalking Wolf, and the value of pausing the business of life. Plus, the idea of dissolving frozen moments. But, most of all Del covers all seven directions - yes seven - along with what they symbolize and the animals associated with them. And much, much, more!
Have you noticed how often we are guided from one path to another, and how often we would not have chosen a path but for the circumstances that seemingly forced it upon us? And then later, we look back and see that it was the perfect path for us to take? That’s what happened to my guest Paula Sassi. She decided to do something as a hobby and it became her life’s work. She became a master at unraveling our hidden mysteries simply by reading our handwriting. Paula has wonderful stories to tell about about shifting and thriving, and following the open path.
This episode's title is weird, but true. Everyone knows that we only see what we believe because we have all experienced it. But how does it affect our daily life? How often to we apply this principle, instead of the attraction principle, which will often lead us astray. In this podcast Del and I cover everything from wide angle vision to sweat lodges, the true dominion of the feminine aspect of each of us, and most of all how to start looking for what you want to see. What are you going to choose to look for, knowing that where your focus is, that is what you will see. You know that what you perceive to be reality magnifies. so choose well! The most important thing of all is to remember is that we are more than meets the eye. Listen, and you'll see.
My guests today are Dee and CW Gruenig. Does the name Dee Gruenig ring a bell? Perhaps you saw her on the Carol Duvall show on HGTV or bought her rubber stamps, or heard her talk around the country about her passion of what she calls "Art Without Anxiety." C.W. is her husband and he wrote a book about Dee called "Invitations Everywhere: Say Yes As Dee Gruenig Did." If you ever wondered if it is possible to build the life that you want simply by following your heart, and sharing your passion with the world, this podcast will give you your answer. C.W. and Dee have given us some wonderful examples of what that means, and what will happen when we do. Dee talks about her life as a magical journey and invites us to go on the same journey. Why not. Invitations are everywhere. Dee asks us to wake up to them and then most important of all, act on them. Dee and C.W. will inspire you to do just that!
In these Podcasts on The Months our intent is to share the connections found in nature, the Bible, Native American teachings, eastern pailosophies, quantum physics, numbers, and colors, to name a few - all of which point to the spiritual meanings of the season and each month. This podcast on January covers everything from birds, to dark matter, to the true meaning of debt (and how not to have it). We talk about inner calm, kinship with all things, and my favorite subject of all - perception. January is the month in which we all have a desire to begin anew. Fresh, open, ready to experience the beauty and abundance of our lives. It is the month of the Seeker - Doer. In spite of tradition it is not a month to set resolutions, which are just surface to do’s that we may or may not be able to keep. Instead, it is a month to set our intent. To find the deep meaning of who we are, and what we do. My hope is that this podcast helps you on that path to self awareness.
This is the third podcast in The Shift Shuttle series. It is full of stories. Stories about the power of the feminine within, stories about why some things we believe to be true, are not - stories about birds, my mother’s kitchen, fog, and dreaming. All stories about how it has always been - so we can choose to shift what we believe, to what is actually true. I tell stories about discovering who you really are, and living it, stories about being willing to grow and bloom in life. Although this was recorded years ago, the ideas have not changed. What has always been - is not necessarily what is true. And until we know the difference - we are not truly free. It's time to make your shift.
Mary Marcdante is my guest for this podcast. I could tell you that she is a writer, business woman, coach, friend … so may ways to describe her. But, in this episode you will meet Mary the woman who had just lost her long time friend, who just happened to be a cat. Whether you are a lover of pets or not, it won’t matter, because this episode is all about the beauty of love and the fullness of life. Mary share how we can all be more present in our life, not just for ourselves but so that the world benefits from the gifts that we bring. Listen now to Mary and share the love!
Almost all of us think “holidays” when we think of December, but do we also think of it being the month of gratitude, or of the Dreamer - Counselor? In this podcast on December we not only follow the Seneca’s ideas of what December represents, but also the Chinese idea of the mind of Toa and the three jewels in our bodies. All symbolic of course.
We also discuss the idea of Entanglement encountered within quantum theory, inner silence, and a somersault of thought as expressed by Don Juan. There is also the number twelve, white, the north direction and the tobacco ceremony. But it is the power of gratitude that holds it all together and heals the illusion of separation. December is a wonderful month to let go of the habit of looking at what doesn’t work, and practice the habit of looking at what does work. That is a habit that will pay unimaginable dividends throughout our lives. When things don’t appear to be going well, take a the only magic pill there is - the pill of gratitude. It works every time.
My guest in this episode is Sandy Hackett. Yes the son of Buddy Hackett. I asked him if being the son of such a famous person make life easier or harder for him. However, before he answered the question, he let me know that I had asked the wrong question, and then he shared his journey in life - full of shifts. He shared bits of wisdom from his dad - but the one word answer Buddy gave to Sandy in the midst of a major shift in Sandy’s life is my favorite, and I have used it more than once on myself since I heard it. Nope, not sharing it now, you will need to listen. Most of all Sandy stresses that true success can only be found by following your heart. I know he will inspire you to follow yours.
Do you journal? If so, you will love hearing what my guest - to me, the queen of journaling - Joyce Chapman, will share. If you have put off journaling, I can relate. It was not until I met Joyce that I found the value of it. Joyce journals everywhere, about everything. Her company is "Journaling For Joy". Because, yes, that’s what she does, she journals for joy. If you are asking yourself, where am I in my life right now, and what is it I want, perhaps Joyce will inspire you in a journaling practice where you can find answers to your questions.
Throughout the years I have done some speaking across the country, sometimes I get to address lovely churches and their congregations. Since most of you aren’t there, I thought I would pop into our regular programming and share one with you, every once in awhile. This one will only take up about five minutes of your time, but I think it has a visual impact that will last much longer. I am starting with this one, because I often think of it,and I often refer to the story … and now when I do … you will know what I am talking about. The question is - are we human? Or are we not. And if we claim to be human, how limiting is that claim? Listen to this episode and you will know the answer.
Do you believe that people can never really change? Perhaps you wish you could change, but everything you have tried has not worked. Then this episode is going to rock your world. Flying Through Life author Robert DeLaurentis did just that. He transformed himself from a man who didn’t care, and steam rolled over everyone (his description), to one whose every action stems from compassion and understanding. Robert tells entertaining and engaging stories and shares specific examples about his transformation. But that’s not all he shares. If you have ever thought that spirituality and good profitable business can never be partners, he will change your mind about that too. Even if you think you are already the best you can be, Robert shows you how you can be even better, and live your impossible dream.
This episode on the month of November is packed with inspiring ideas and interesting information. You will learn what the wolf howling at the moon means, hear how Penn and Taylor explain magic, how you can hide in plain sight, and what why November is about attracting and releasing. Plus the number 11, the rhythm of November and how we access it, a story about the value of paying attention by reviewing our actions, releasing ourselves from the prison of human beliefs, and the tree as the symbol of man. There is so much more, like why is it the month to focus on Walk In Truth, but one of my favorite pieces of information is how five hundred million empire state buildings relate to the human body!
In this episode you will meet Lisa Dawn Miller. She is talented, beautiful, an amazing singer, and a powerful business woman. For a few years we were business partners. We had fun, we disagreed, and then learned from our differences. She showed me the value of learning how to code, and taught me, by demonstrating it, that saying no to what you don’t want is a good thing. Lisa is an artist that understands, embraces, and celebrates the art of business. She thinks outside the paradigm. She is not afraid to put out into the world what she wants to accomplish, and then she goes after it with a plan and by listening to her heart. She loves synergy and collaboration, and the outcome is beautiful. Even if you can't sing and song, she will inspire you to sing your dream, which all of us can, and must do. Come with me and spend some time with this powerful woman as we shift the story … together…
Life is full of signs and symbols, but how do we interpret them? What if we misunderstand them? In this episode we continue the discussion we started in the first of this series on Understanding Signs and Symbols. Why is this important? Because all spiritual teachings come through symbols. Del shares how to correctly interpret - very important - signs and symbols, what causes - and stops - addictions, and how all memories are false. This is a really good thing to know. We will take you on a journey into signs following, where you absolutely can discover what you believe in. Why is this important … oh you already know … what we believe inside is what we get outside. Our point of view always has a sign following, always. And when it begins in the worldview it will always swing from good to bad and back again. How do we step out of that? What about how to deal with someone who is acting as your enemy - we explain that too.

We are never without a guide in this journey. Signs and symbols are always with us to lead us where we need to go. Learn how to translate them back to their original language, spiritual direction. We begin with the idea of understanding - what is it? From there we move on to the third step in The Shift, understanding signs and symbols. What are they? How do the affect us? Should we follow them? Should we ignore them? Some of the symbols we explore are breadcrumbs, zip lines, levels of faith, boxes and more boxes, and the shift key on your computer. In this episode you just might find some answers to questions you have, or the question that fits an answer you already know. What you can be sure of, is you will be exploring ideas that will benefit you in each day of your life.
Haven't we all wondered, at one time or another, if we are traveling in the right direction, doing the right thing, or if it is time to change what we are doing. Follow Lisa Bentson as she explains her plans to change direction. Or is it really a change of direction? Perhaps its just another way to express herself. This answer may apply to you too! Lisa’s mother, Ali Lassen, was the creator and founder of Leads Club, the very first networking club of its kind. Back in the eighties, for a few years, I ran three of Ali’s Leads Clubs in San Diego, CA. What I learned working with Ali, and running the clubs, changed my life. Not long after I met Ali, Lisa joined her mom and she is now the capable owner of this international business. I never know what to expect when I talk to someone, and in this case I was wonderfully surprised to find that Lisa has a new path in mind, and one that I know many of you will be personally interested in. Her insights into making shifts should inspire us all into following our hearts without fear. Don't forget - there is always a Shift Hack at the end...
