Welcome, Storytellers. It’s me, Dan. I’ve been your host, your tour guide, your librarian for 125 episodes. That’s 125 legendary storytellers from all walks of life (two repeat guests, but one episode with three guests – do the math). Writers, video creators (including a television show creator), podcasters, social media storytellers, poets, songwriters, business storytellers… what a journey it’s been.

This… this is the finale. I’m taking a hiatus from the act of creating new episodes to work on something else. Being that this is a hobby I do in my spare time, and I have a family and other activities—including the motorcycle I’m absolutely itching to ride—it’s time to allocate my time somewhere else for a bit.

Storytelling from Entrepreneurs to Politicians

Most of us are tricked into believing that success means fitting in. Following trends. Accepting bad habits. Making people happy. That goes for life, for business and for our storytelling.

That’s where Christopher Lochhead comes in. Christopher has been an advisor to over 50 venture-backed startups, is a venture capital limited partner and a former three-time Silicon Valley public company CMO, entrepreneur, and co-author of two bestsellers: Niche Down and Play Bigger.

He’s also creator and host of two juggernaut podcasts, Follow Your Different and Lochhead On Marketing. He’s a master storyteller, even if he doesn’t admit to it.

“Your success in life and in business will be constrained in part, or enabled greatly, by your ability to tell stories.” - Christopher Lochhead on the importance of storytelling.

On this episode Dan welcomes a previous guest back – only the second guest to return. Joe Pulizzi first joined The Storytellers Network to close out season 5, Inspirational Storytellers. He’s a business storyteller and a “from the stage” weaver of tales. But now he’s added another bullet point to his story: novelist.

“I listened to Joe’s book when he released it via podcasting and was blown away,” Dan says. “I couldn’t stop.”

The Will to Die is a suspenseful mystery based on an everyday person solving the murder of his own dad. It’s now available in print as well (or digital download), in addition to the audio version.

For Joe, it makes sense to make the jump from business books to novels. At the core, it’s all story.

“The stories that we tell bind us together. It’s probably the most important thing we do that separates us from any other animal on Earth.” - Joe Pulizzi on the power of story.

Author Chad Pettit grew up lost in the world of fantasy fiction but alienated from a knowledge of God. With no real direction in his life, he shipped out for basic training twelve days after high school. He continued down a path of sin and destruction through two combat tours to Iraq, but then God pulled back the blinders, and he met his Lord and Savior.

One passion that never left him was his love for fiction, and in 2013, he went back to school and earned his degree in English. This helped him develop his craft, spending long hours pounding away at the keys until his battles with guilt, fear, and shame came alive on the page.

Now he is on a mission to pull back the curtain on spiritual warfare and show others how to overcome trials through faith and start living their best lives for God.

“Stories allow us to gain empathy for other people. They allow us to understand flaws in our culture. They also allow us to understand the best parts of our culture.” - Chad Pettit on the power of story

Joy E. Rancatore writes fiction, nonfiction and everything in between. When she's not doing horrible things to her characters or dreaming up faery creatures and fantastic weapons, she beats her husband at card games, homeschools her two children, snuggles her two stinky dogs and lets her cat, Tolkien, do whatever he wants. They'd prefer to live in Middle-earth or Narnia or Hogwarts or in a galaxy far, far away; but, for now, they live across Lake Pontchartrain from New Orleans.

Her biggest writing accomplishment to date remains penning the cover story for the August 2003 issue of Leatherneck, Magazine of the Marines. It featured her brother, Justin.

“Words have built empires, articulated the deepest passions of the heart, defended beliefs and spread the power of dreams. Words hold great and lasting power.” - Joy E. Rancatore on the power of story

Storytelling with an Alternative Educator and Entrepreneur

Laura Sandefer is an author and the co-founder of Acton Academy, a school whose learner-driven model is spreading across the globe with over 130 locations in Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, Guatemala, Canada, Malaysia and more, and in 2019 is celebrating 10 years of letting children take learning into their owns hands.

Acton Academy bases their model of learning on the Hero’s Journey: a story pattern common in ancient myths and modern day adventures in which a hero goes on an adventure, wins a victory and comes home transformed. Children at Acton Academy know why they are being challenged to learn — they are on their own Hero’s Journey to find their passion in life.

Sandefer went on her own Hero’s Journey in starting Acton Academy, which she chronicles in her book Courage to Grow: How Acton Academy Turns Learning Upside Down. She became a reluctant entrepreneur, growing Acton Academy so other parents can start their own learner-driven communities.

When you have the hero’s journey narrative in your mind, what you realize is that every single human you come across has treasure within. Each person’s treasure is different.” - Laura Sandefer on story and empathy

Anese Cavanaugh, guest on episode #104 of The Storytellers Network, didn’t consider herself a storyteller. She thought that had to mean following a specific story structure, maybe creating a hero’s journey each time and coming up with stories.

In talking with Dan, listening to episodes and looking over the show prep for their interview, Anese realized that she’s been telling stories her entire professional life. She used stories in her first book, Contagious Culture. And she uses them in her most recent release, Contagious You.

Once she came to terms with how much of a storyteller she was, she decided she wanted to be more intentional.

So now Anese and Dan are starting a 21-day story gathering “writing challenge.”

Storytelling with Squareplanet’s Chief Word Guy

For years, Brian Burkhart has been on staff at Northwestern University’s highly prestigious Farley Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation. He’s coached 10 teams for TV’s “Shark Tank,” and most of them got deals.

Brian’s a podcaster, an entrepreneur and so much more. I invited Brian Burkhart to join me for this Educational Storytellers episode because if his education background – at the university as well as his speaking.

Brian is the “chief word guy” at Squareplanet, an agency that helps its clients tell better stories in presentations, events and more. Brian’s the founder and a hell of a storyteller (scroll down for his introduction email!).

“I’ve logged hundreds of thousands of miles on planes. A grand total of zero times I’ve poked my head in the cockpit and told the pilots how to fly. Just because I fly a lot doesn’t mean I know how to fly. But for some reason in the world of corporate storytelling, people think they know better and they don’t.” - Brian Burkhart on letting the professionals do their job.

David Flowers wrote Taming the Lion Tamers about the South Carolina case of convicted pedophile Eddie Fischer, and the people who protected him for decades. It’s a powerful story, and is the same case on which the Emmy-nominated documentary film What Haunts Us is based.

David fought for victims for decades, using story to their advantage. Now he teaches upcoming attorneys about the power of story.

Is there any type of storyteller “bigger” than someone who creates and writes a television show in prime time? We’re obsessed with our TVs and the characters who move us. Even in the world of streaming, network TV is still a juggernaut.

A Million Little Things, on ABC, tackles everything from suicide to infidelity to a man overcoming breast cancer (but who is far from a saint). On this episode of The Storytellers Network, the creator and showrunner DJ Nash (also a writer and executive producer of the series) takes time to explore storytelling at a whole new level.

“Every single one of them is broken because all of us are broken in different ways. Don’t let that be your limitation. Let it be your inspiration.” - DJ Nash on his characters

Today’s guest is author Michelle Keener. Writers definitely entertain us, and Michelle does so with purpose-driven stories like Mission Hollywood and her memoir Shared Courage.

Photojournalism to Comedy with Rich Prange

Rich Prange is a stand-up comic in Phoenix, Arizona. He’s also an award-winning photojournalist. Which is why I know him. We worked together at a TV news station in Kalamazoo, Michigan years ago. And it’s been fun to watch his story unfold, to where he’s now performing his comedy on stages. Rich sees comedy as a storytelling art form much like music.

“People will say they saw a comedian and it’s the same as they saw in a video. That’s because it’s scripted. It’s like a concert. They aren’t just going off the top of their head. It’s a song they wrote.” - Rich Prange on comedy performances.

Telling Stories Through Music with Willie Wisely

Today’s guest is… a musician whose music is hyper-personal, and by turns quirky and unexpectedly profound. On stage he delivers much more than just song. He plays and moves in a can’t-take-your-eyes-off him style that reminds you why leaving the house for live music is so critical to understanding the pop music art form.

I first heard of Willie Wisely when I discovered James Gunn’s Tromeo and Juliet. Willie was the film score composer. I dove into his music from there, had a few conversations, and even tried to help get him to my hometown with a living room concert. If you don’t know what that is, look it up. Unfortunately, it didn’t work, but I’ve kept in touch with him and followed his career. His albums Parador and She have been staples for me over the years. I’m stoked to bring you Willie Wisely on today’s episode.

The longtime Los Angelino (and now prodigally-returning son to his native Minneapolis/St. Paul), has surprised the LA songwriter scene with a recent career rebirth. He brings with him a decades-long, criminally overlooked catalog of pop recording and songwriting that might leave any Paul McCartney & Wings fan wondering why the hell Wisely isn’t opening at Dodger Stadium for Macca in July. Wisely’s love of music permeates his everyday life, including how he decided to cover a Jackie Lomax tune from an obscure Beatles era story.

“We were convinced we were the only people in the world who knew him [Jackie Lomax]. His obscurity was so deep, that when we played his tracks live at our shows we just said we wrote them.” - Willie Wisely on performing.

Chris brings the unique perspective of success from both sides of an event. He understands the challenges of the organizer that needs to move an audience, having himself facilitated over 1,000 events that have brought together business owners, toward economic growth, under the umbrella of Tampa Bay Business Owners, which he founded in 2008. And despite how the world of marketing has changed - as you’ll read in his book - Mark believes in the power of story as well as the power of authenticity in your own story.

“I was terrible when I started [blogging]. In my mind I had the perfect message for my target audience. I was bored, making up stories for what I thought my persona wanted to hear. So I decided to just be myself.” - Mark W. Schaefer on the power of authenticity

He’s an author of about two dozen books and says: “The future of publishing is about having connections to readers and the knowledge of what those readers want.” Seth Godin pioneered the idea of permission marketing. He’s a storyteller in written and spoken formats.

You can find him at his blog, where he upends the old adage that more is better. Sometimes he writes only a relatively few words, yet gets a ton of attention. His latest book, This Is Marketing, takes a look at the modern marketplace and teaches us that you can’t be seen until you learn to see.

Seth says one way brands set themselves apart is through their story, or their brand.

“Brands aren’t logos. Brands are promises. If Nike opened a hotel … with your eyes closed you’ could figure out what it would be like. But if Hyatt came out with a brand of sneakers, no clue! Nike has a story.“ - Seth Godin on story and brand

Inspirational Storytelling in Business with Joe Pulizzi

From a corporate media job to launching a blog to talk about something no one had heard of yet, to launching a movement, Joe Pulizzi’s journey so far has been pretty incredible. He founded Content Marketing Institute, put on Content Marketing World, has written or co-written about a half-dozen business books including the recent Content, Inc.

Joe’s known for his orange suit – which he explains in our conversation how that all came about – and what he calls his quirky personality. I mean, who else makes lists of 42 as a nod to the Hitchhikers Guide? This creative, authentic, kind, funny storyteller falls into multiple categories, so he wraps up Inspirational Storytellers in Season 5 in preparation for Season 6 and Business Storytellers.

“Some experts out there say there’s just too much content. There’s always been too much content. Since the dawn of time, since printing press was created there’s been too much content for people to engage in. But you always find [your] niche and that’s the opportunity.” - Joe Pulizzi on ‘too much content’

Storytelling with Photographer Robert H. Miller

Today’s guest is someone who not only tells stories, but who captures and curates and shares others’ stories. Robert Miller is an “Independent Book author and photojournalist for National Geographic Books.” His projects include the book “Veteran Voices: Remarkable Stories of Heroism, Sacrifice and Honor.”

I had the privilege of meeting Robert when he was a photographer for Nat Geo when Honor Flight flew our nation’s oldest living veteran at the time, Emma Didlake of Detroit, to Washington, D.C. His photographs tell inspirational stories.

Today’s guest asks, “Are you ready for a new focus and a powerful purpose?” He’s an inspirational survivor, speaker, and author. His thoughts on leadership have made him an internationally sought-out

Back on January 15, 2009, Dave Sanderson was one of the last passengers off the plane that crashed into the Hudson River, best known as The Miracle on the Hudson, considered to be the most successful ditching in aviation history. His book, Moments Matter, details the lessons learned from that miraculous landing and how to take a potentially tragic experience, what he calls ‘you own personal plane crash’ and turn it into an opportunity to survive and “create your own flight plan.”He has built a career as a motivational speaker, mentor and author. Dave averages over 100 speeches a year for major corporations across the world.

And it all started with “an elderly lady” at his first talk on his Miracle on the Hudson experience.

“She grabbed my left arm, looked at me and said ‘I was questioning if there was a God and I don’t believe in miracles. But you are physical evidence that there is a God and He does miracles.’ What happened to me impacted somebody, and now I have a different calling.” - Dave Sanderson on his speaking journey

Tom Ziglar runs the Ziglar media empire, helping the legacy of his dad Zig Ziglar live on. As CEO of Ziglar and key collaborator on his father’s 30th book, Born to Win, Tom carries on the organization’s “profoundly simple” philosophy: “You can have everything in life you want, if you will just help enough other people get what they want.

He also takes the stage, addresses leadership of all levels, co-hosts the podcast, The Ziglar Show, Inspiring Your True Performance, with Kevin Miller (our guest from season 2)… he’s definitely an inspirational storyteller.

“I started doing presentations and speaking … reluctantly. I was the guy who prepared the stage for The World’s Best. I was nervous. The story I told myself was, ‘They want me to be like my dad.’ But no. I realized they just want me to be the best version of myself.” - Tom Ziglar on his storytelling journey

Storytelling with a Purpose - Lessons from Legendary Vocal Coach Arthur Samuel Joseph

If you’re speaking in front of another person – or many – it’s not a presentation. At least, it shouldn’t be. It should be – a performance. That’s how Arthur Joseph sees it. And that’s how he teaches others to see it. From NFL Hall of Fame inductees like Emmitt Smith to Hollywood heavy hitters like Angeline Jolie, Arthur has helped thousands up their speaking game.

Now, he’s ready to help you grow. Arthur wants to do more than just bring a tip or two… he’s ready to offer you, my audience a Masterclass feel for our conversation.

Whether it’s preparing for a TED talk or a business presentation (performance!) – whether a keynote or a quarterly earnings report, or any kind of oral story, Arthur can help you go beyond the next level as a storyteller.

“I’d like us to step back each day as often as we can, allow a Conscious Loving Breath and slow this process down a bit. Let’s not just stream this data. Let’s learn how to embody the message and the messenger as we tell our story.” - Arthur Joseph on social media

Nick Usborne is The Conversational Copywriter. Conversational copywriting could change your business, your personal brand or your career.

Whether you own a salon or you’re a dentist, how you communicate with your potential clients matters. Even if you’re not a writer, you’ll need to communicate (or maybe hire a writer).

So often my goal here is to inspire, not necessarily instruct. Nick does both. We talk about what conversational writing is, what it isn’t, how to do it well and take your storytelling to the next level, and so much more. This is a great episode to take notes on!

“If I write you a 4-page [marketing] letter I know that I’m going to lose the most people at the end of each page… never end a sentence at the bottom of a page.” - Nick Usborne on the art of holding attention

Storytelling with Honor Flight network Co-Founder Earl Morse

Today’s guest is inspirational to many, even if he’s not technically a motivational speaker. But, he has motivated thousands of people to mobilize and serve on an amazing mission.

Earl Morse co-founded an organization that serves veterans in their later years – starting first with World War II vets, moving on to Korean War and Vietnam vets. It’s called Honor Flight Network, and it’s made up of more than a hundred local hubs… all because Earl saw a need and convinced a few other pilots to begin flying veterans to Washington, D.C. to see the memorial built in their honor.

Since May 21, 2005, thousands of veterans have taken their Honor Flight from all over the country. Earl Morse tells a great story, and has heard many, many more.

“The world is free because of [these veterans]. They’re in our community still to this day.” - Earl Morse

David Powell’s inspirational journey began at birth being born without hands and malformed legs. However, challenges have never slowed him down.

David was born in New Orleans. As a child he got around in an electric wheelchair using his feet as his hands. After the separation of his parents, David relocated to Dallas, TX. He then became a patient at Scottish Rite Hospital for children and started walking with the help of prosthetics.

With his feet no longer available, he once again adapted and learned to do everything he did with his feet, with his arms. As a freshman in high school, David lost his mother to a drug overdose, leaving him devastated. A few years later he fell into a dark hole of drug addiction and alcoholism until the age of 29.

Over time, and after a move to Salina, KS, David once again beat the odds and overcame those struggles. He is now fulfilling one of his lifetime dreams of becoming a motivational speaker to help people though helpful messages on life and its perspectives.

From Convicted Murderer to Motivational Speaker, a Conversation with Poet Will Latif Little

Today’s guest is a mentor, activist, poet, author, inspirational Speaker who has appeared on the TEDx stage … and a man convicted of murder.

Will Latif Little grew up in a single-parent home with his four sisters in Philadelphia. Without his father, or any father figure, Will began to venture out, picking up bad habits and negative ideas on the street. Becoming a product of his environment, Will dropped out of high school in the 10th grade and got involved in the Philadelphia drug trade and other illegal activities. This ultimately landed Will in prison for 10-20 years on a murder conviction at the age of 19.

While in prison, Will decided to turn his life around, by first getting his diploma by way of a GED. He became a voracious reader. What began as a way to pass the time actually helped him become a man, a storyteller, and an inspiration to others.

“He stalked me before. He had guns out, and saw me at restaurants and places with my lady and my daughter. He said everywhere he went, ‘everyone loves you but I didn’t care, you killed my brother.’” - Will Little on meeting the brother of his shooting victim

When I think of lawyers doing any kind of marketing or advertising, I think of the big, ugly billboards along the highway that scream at you to call am 800-number the next time you’re in a crash. Or I think of terrible jingles on the radio reminding you that the next time you’re caught driving drunk, you don’t have to pay the price.

Now, I have friends who are attorneys and I don’t think they’re all bad. I was still impressed with Jeshua Lauka, who uses social media to share stories and inspiration in order to develop relationships, which just might lead to new business. Imagine, using social media… to be social!

Jeshua Lauka from Grand Rapids, Michigan is incredibly talented at using social well, and not just spamming his connections with junk. According to his LinkedIn profile, Jeshua is “an attorney at a boutique business law firm located in downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan” where he “practices Business, Real Estate, Estate and Trust work, and related litigation.”

He loves what he does and has a special passion for non-profit, board governance, and social enterprise. He also writes about legal issues on his own blog, and isn’t afraid to be authentic and even vulnerable.

“We all want to show the best of ourselves. Nobody likes to share our weaknesses… I think those are things that make us human and things that allow us to connect. Do those things you might be uncomfortable with [sharing]. Be your authentic self.” - Jeshua Lauka on vulnerability and authenticity in storytelling

Storytelling with Video/Film Creator Luke Rafferty

Visual Storyteller and Branded-Content Documentarian Luke Rafferty loves to tell a story. On his website, Luke Rafferty says “If a picture is worth a thousand words, imagine the impact of a short film. Your organization has a story to tell. Through stunning visuals coupled with emotional narratives, we can spark a fire in the hearts of many. Together, let's tell those stories.” Sounds inspiring – and like he’s a partner in helping clients tell their stories. We talk about that, what it took to work with Make a Wish AND JetBLue – even as a small, one-person video company (there’s hope for all of us in that story) – and more.

To Luke, great stories often come from amazing experiences. Sometimes, you need to get out, see the world and experience life to its fullest.

“I was 18 at the time. The first thing that struck me was the gratitude and the love of the people. They were generous. We gave them solar panels. There was a lot of selflessness and a lot of giving... It wasn’t until the flight home that I lost it. I remember going to the bathroom on the plane and crying.” - Luke Rafferty on the power of an experience

Dominick Domasky is driven to inspire and motivate people and fellow authors through his books, motivational speaking and publishing. He’s the human behind Motivation Champs, and encourages others by sharing his life experiences. His motto: Let no failure define you. And I’m here to tell you – he does not disappoint. By the end of our conversation I was inspired – and I hope you are, too.

Whether Dominick is speaking from the stage, in a video or in his Facebook group, Dominick loves to tell stories.

"I remember watching Stand By Me as a kid. That movie spoke to me so much. I remember in college that I wrote some things and they would have red marks all over them. But the teacher would say, 'He has red marks, but he something to say.' I started to write down goals, which became sentences which became my first book." - Dominick Domasky on his storytelling journey

Meet Sarah Hill, founder of StoryUp. StoryUp is a tribe of storytellers, psychologists, developers, filmmakers, audio engineers and technologists.

They began in 2015, trying to find a solution for terminally-ill WWII Veterans who were not able to physically travel to see their memorials in Washington, DC. These men and women could not physically go on what’s called an Honor Flight. So, Sarah and the team started Honor Everywhere. These veterans experience an immersive event where they get to “go” to the WWII memorial in DC. It’s incredible.

Now StoryUp’s virtual reality experiences reach much further… which you’ll hear about during our conversation. Sarah believes that storytellers - even when they don't carry the official title - have power.

"A lot of people who are CEOs of their own company are storytellers... although they might not realize it or hold that title. To me, all founders and CEOs of companies are the Chief Storyteller. You're not just selling you product. You're selling your story." -Sarah Hill on storytelling in business

My guest in this episode, Rand Fishkin, is the founder of SparkToro and was previously cofounder of Moz and Inbound.org. He’s dedicated his professional life to helping people do better marketing through the Whiteboard Friday video series (which is why I asked Rand to join us), his blog, and his book, Lost and Founder: A Painfully Honest Field Guide to the Startup World. When Rand’s not working, he’s most likely to be in the company of his partner in marriage and (mostly petty) crime, author Geraldine DeRuiter. If you feed him great pasta or great whisky, he’ll give you the cheat code to rank #1 on Google.

Rand is full of insights for storytellers and start-up founders. One great tip: Be purposeful where you put your story.

"We always strove to put the content first on our own website where we could own and control the user experience. then we would stagger the distribution to social media. Own your home. Don't build your house on rented land, which is really what you're doing on YouTube or Facebook." - Rand Fishkin on content placement

Then he came to work with me in marketing, helping hopeful home buyers navigate their experience.

Today, Bill becomes the subject, a title he’s not always willing to put on, in order to share with The Storytellers Network his storytelling craft, his experiences and tips… in other words, HIS story.

As the CEO & Co-Founder at a Boston start-up called “WePlayed,” Rob Ciampa has a vested interest in telling a great story. Using his skills, Rob convinces financial supporters, early team members and others to believe in the mission of a untested company. Where did his chops come from? Experience.

Rob has been VP of sales and then CMO of a video marketing company called Pixability – which is where we crossed paths and I got know him – as well as an advisor to a group of media, advertising and marketing technology companies. He's also co-author of YouTube Channels for Dummies. Rob definitely believes in the power of story – especially video.

"It was the 50th anniversary of the peace sign. We had everyone dressed up in 60's garb [at the conference]. We had our support staff in tye-dyes but we hired actors to come in, in various garb. We broke the rules and had live 60's music. All of a sudden everyone is coming to the booth... telling their stories of the 1960s... and we had an 8,000% improvement year over year for that show." - Rob Ciampa on the power of story

Villy Wang had a crazy dream: to create a new kind of social enterprise that helps kids who, like her, grew up in the projects. Raised by an immigrant single mother in New York City, Villy’s desire to tell her story forged a passion for using the digital media arts to capture stories untold and to create social change. That’s why she founded BAYCAT, leveraging her impressive 25-year background in education, arts programming, nonprofit business and law.

Villy received her double B.A. in Engineering and Economics from Brown University, J.D. degree from Northwestern University, and her teaching credential from San Francisco State University. Villy filmed and produced a short entitled, “Unplugged,” that was featured in the 2005 Marin Environmental Film Festival. She is also fluent in Mandarin.

This social entrepreneur believes deeply in the power of story, especially video, to help connect people.

"You want to be like everybody else because there's this sense of belonging that every single person wants. There's something about the lack of story that makes someone feel invisible. Every person's story matters." - Villy Wang on the importance of stories

Using video for a form of "edutainment," George B. Thomas helps other learn a complicated marketing and sales software, a new strategy and a fresh way of driving business growth. A recovering youth pastor and former pub bouncer, George has always helped people...it’s just been at different points of their journey.

Now George is an inbound evangelist and creates training videos for HubSpot users. But they're so much more than standard training videos... You have to see it to believe it. He’s a branding guru, a video marketing ninja, an inbound marketing Jedi (yes he’s a total nerd and that’s awesome) and a HubSpot accredited trainer. The energy he brings is infectious and the knowledge he drops is inspiring. And he doesn’t need coffee to do it all — but it does help.

You are absolutely more powerful, more smart, more anything that you think that you're not. You have the potential to be great. You just need to find 'that thing.' You need to find that passion. You need to find that consistency. The most important part of this, you need to find that belief in yourself." - George B. Thomas on motivation

Jaime also runs Bottleneck Virtual Assistants, helping businesses find virtual VAs to help their business. And if that wasn't enough, Jaime is a generous soul who loves to help those around him, making the world a better place. As an entrepreneur and podcast host, Jaime says storytelling is huge in his world. Rising above the noise? He has a tip...

I think personalization is everything. That's how you rise above the noise. If you're trying to do everything for everybody, and you're just saying, 'It's for everybody. Everybody can use it,' well, I think you're missing the boat there. The more specific you get, the better off it is, the easier you'll find it is to convey your story to others - Jaime Jay
