After the credits roll, these two movie buffs dig into things, holding nothing back as they discuss movies, tv shows, and everything that goes into making and consuming them. Listen in for a format that isn't about assigning a rating, but instead is a conversation you might have with a friend. These guys are passionate about it, and hope to inspire the same in you.
Today we welcome Adrian back as we discuss the epic James Cameron follow-up to Ridley Scott's space horror, Alien, and Drew tries desperately to defend Burke's motives. We recast this movie, give an award to a certain Marine's stand-out performance, talk about how Ellen sounds a lot like Alien, and why the extended version is the best version that truly gives us the emotional weight of Ripley's motherly protection that drives this movie.

Today we say goodbye to one of the most important characters in the Harry Potter story with the penultimate story, The Half-Blood Prince.
Though this is the ‘Prince’s Tale’ in the title of the story, the true ‘Prince’s Tale' is in the final story. In this one, we learn all about Voldemort’s past, where he comes from, and his ultimate plan for immortality. We discuss the book again heavily in this episode to pad the tale because Voldemort’s past is one of 2 histories, the other being Dumbledore’s in the finale, that was unfortunately cut from the story overall. Kailee is back one last time for the Harry Potter movies as we also discuss Malfoy’s not-so master plans, Severus’ dilemma, count the times Kailee says young Voldy is cute, purposefully avoid discussing the Ginny romance, and try our hardest not to spoil what comes next.

Join us as we try to explain what makes Arnold's particular brand of comedy work, how foreshadowing plays out in this movie world, and why some old-school tropes need to return as we examine a fictional man, made aware of his imagined existence and how he struggles with pain and death for the very first time. This movie has heart, fantasy, action, Sonya Blade, the T-1000, a cartoon cat, and a mobster named Leo The Fart.. Guess what he does?... I miss the 90s.. Roll it!

Join us as we discuss this simplistic plot that, almost 50 years later, still astonishes, still captivates, still frightens, and still has you thinking twice about dipping your toe in the deep. It had to be something special and, though this movie ticks that box, it’s also with admiration and solemn spirits that we discuss this movie, The Goonies, a movie by director Richard Donner who passed away last week at the age of 91. The Goonies is as much a staple in Hollywood adventure films as Indiana Jones, National Treasure, or the ‘Pirates’ franchise but puts kids in the driver’s seat and let’s the adventure fly. Join Mikey, Brand, Andy, Data, Stef, Mouth, Chunk, and of course sloth, as these Goonies explore the caves and underground of Astoria Oregon in search of One-eyed Willy and his treasure that could same the home they are about to lose. If you’re looking for adventure, The Goonies are “good enough for you!”

The 90’s wrapped up with this, perhaps the most iconic (or at least top 5) of all modern teen movies. Channeling My Fair Lady, Sabrina, and even Cinderella, the movie bites with charm, wit, and quotables in a modern retelling, though that bite is with a mouth full of 90’s fashion, music, and slang (“Yeah, busy ‘Wiggin’”). Join us for the bet that made audiences ignore the jackassery of the male lead, Freddie Prinze Jr playing against type, with little redeeming qualities while semi-newcomer Rachel Leigh Cook steals, drinks, and wipes her mouth with every scene she’s in. You didn’t really think we’d fawn over this one did you? Oh you did? That’s so sweet.

Join The PCP this episode as we examine the movie Toys starring Robin Williams and directed by Barry Levinson. This was never Williams’ best or most revered movie, in fact some consider it his worst. We say not, but even Robin’s worst is still pure magic. Listen in as we navigate the director’s decision to base it in a fantastically whimsical world, filled to the brim with eccentric and gorgeous production design only to lose real structure, hoping the funny, hyper man-child would negate the issues the film has. It often works when Williams is on-screen, though it’s not often enough. The soundtrack is DOPE though! Shout out to Hans (Bubbie) Zimmer!
