We continue the smut for another week on today's edition of the community focus podcast. Roger is at the helm with Bev, Dee, & Jack recording from Cantine on Fleet's high street.

'The Management' granted the team permission to enter the warmth of the Weekly Experience Studio, as Jack burned himself under the heat of the heaters at the Bear in the previous podcast, not really, he just got a little toasty warm.
'Spice Of Life Soaps' owner Serena Smith will be joining the team to discuss all things community, along with Emily Wickham Fitness, Jules of Groomers Spotlight, Lissie of Near & Far Mobile Bar, and Anna of Drain Doctor.

The way Andrew portrays his skill-fully written, atmospheric detail creates tension and drama which I could really feel from listening to him today, the perfectly timed pauses and character voices really bring the stories to life.
It was really interesting to ask Andrew about the inspiration he gets for his stories and fascinating to learn that most of his stories come out of the blue! Everyday life can be the building blocks to an amazing story, you just need to tap into your creative side to see it unfold!

The thing I love about Andrew Segal is the segment of truth that he puts his own special twist on to become an original story. What I also love is his ability to get into character as he tells the story. He smiles as he finishes. Which bit was real and which piece was fantasy???
We asked Andrew to read 3 of his 40 written stories, these were gentle musings compared to the blood and guts and murder and intrigue in other stories. His latest book on sale through Amazon called ‘I am a Gigolo’ well, that’s another story style again. Such an interesting man. Will he base a story on any of us today, in his future writings? There is a skill in broadcasting, the ability to think on your feet, fast, ability with words, good vocabulary, also smooth mixing from talking to record playing, news and weather segments.
Roger Noble has 35years in the business and gave us a glimpse of his broadcasting history from young trainee to working as a presenter on all sorts of shift patterns. Even a 1 pm- daybreak, and people were awake and listening!! So, he knows his music and works with charities and businesses alike, so is a perfect fit as a new member of our team.
Will he join us as a regular??

Today on the Weekly Experience Neil, Gem and Mike are talking about the introduction of compulsory face coverings in shops and how it will change how people think!!
Gem then brought up the subject of boxsets from the week before and Mike started on about the 70s hit show MASH.
Eventually, things got brought back on track to Mike talking about the Food Bank and how now with Surrey Heath Prepared closed how the food is being distributed.

I am proud to know there are many amazing business owners who love, care and respect the situation and responsibilities at this time. We will see light and clarity if we pull together and be proud of where we come from.
A return catches up with Reverend Mike Thomasson and Charles Barbor, The Power of Community in Surrey Heath is immense.

Reverend Mike and a group of Rotarians immediately spotted how frightening COVID 19 could be within the community and set about, in record timing a hub of volunteers.
Thousands of calls were taken and food and medicine distributed were needed for those who feared to leave their houses due to medical conditions and age. We were truly blessed as this immediately became the heart of operations with some members including Reverend Mike having no time off for weeks, keeping on full alert to care for the needy.
Along the journey, Surrey Heath Borough Council came onboard with fantastic help and care help organised through the borough council from their own office and staff were deployed who also did long hours and amazing work.
