Welcome to the Relatively Conscious podcast. Hours upon hours of late-night/early-morning dormitory debates revealed that the internet lacked a voice that directly addressed our generation’s righteous anger and reticent angst with scholarly research, but twitter honesty. We’ve planned, conceptualized, and practiced the components for the RC podcast for months, but the tragic killing of George Floyd made us put away the plans and simply introduce ourselves. The world is outraged by America’s treatment of black people, so as we collectively rise to consciousness and oppose injustice, we hope that our podcast can supplement your struggle. We will be very black, erudite, honest, and consistent because that’s the least we can do for the community. That’s why we will address race, Politics, and everything that fuels the outrage machine every week so you can join us in Relative consciousness. Ervin Bryant is an alumnus an educator, orator, rhetorician, and community activist. He is the Student region emeritus 2018-19 for the Texas A&M University System. He has coached a nationally competitive collegiate debate team. He is a graduate of Prairie View A&M with B.A in History with a minor in Political Science. Antonious Brown is a combat veteran of the Afghanistan War. He received medals from the Army, NATO, and Air Force. He has work in politics on the Federal, State, and local level. He graduates from Prairie View A&M with B.A in Marketing with a minor in Political Science.
