Wintopia has received the Prix Pierre-et-Yolande-Perrault from the RVQC festival. The jury wrote: “There are films that seduce us right away, from the first images, the first murmured sounds. This is the case with this bold film, with its precise narration that grabs us right until the final credits.”

Wintopia was honoured with the Colin Low Award for Best Canadian Feature Documentary at DOXA! The jury selected the film for its “poetic, deeply personal, self-reflexive approach to Burt-Wintonick’s exploration of the complexities of her relationship with her late father, his search for utopia, and his legacy as a documentary filmmaker”.
