For this episode I speak to former Royal Marines Commando turned adventure, racer Si Reed.

Si makes a living in the security industry working in Close Protection, which we talk about. We then move on to what a career in CP affords him: the ability to take on seriously crazy adventures such as the Yukon River Quest, a 444miles almost non-stop kayak race and the Yukon Arctic Ultra race, a 436mile race following the Yukon river in winter conditions often with only wolves for company.

Have a listen to these crazy adventures and give Si a follow on Instagram @SiReed1664

Hot on the heels of last weeks episode (S2E1) where I spoke to a friend currently serving at a Commando Unit who undertook Royal Marines training last year, this week sees me talk to a friend who has just finished 18months on a training team, taking Recruits through training.

If you're thinking of joining the Royal Marines, or have an interest in Royal Marines training, this conversation gives a really interesting insight.

This was first recorded back in 2017 after I was a guest on the Audioworks Podcast. Josh, the owner of the Audioworks Podcasts inspired, convinced and enthused me to do my own podcast which he would edit and host. We did twenty episodes before Josh sadly had to concentrate on other ventures.

Josh kindly sent me all the files so when I had the opportunity I could get these out again.

So, isolation time during the Covid19 pandemic and I'm rolling them out again. New episodes to come too.
