In an unlikely merging, a punk rock guitarist/drummer and a hip hop emcee/beat producer join forces on a bold new project. Both looking for something boundary pushing and experimental they found they met in the middle with a common artistic vision. Writing and improvising on a guitar, looping station and sampler the process and the product is a complete collaborative effort.
Quiet Type Writers are ecstatic to announce the release of our newest single 'Cobras in Love'. A sprawling journey in sound exploring what it means to struggle with passion and intensity, to fight for life, this proggy noise clash collage of the soothing and the abrasive is a work we have poured our hearts into for the last year. Working as a team maximizing our combined powers, we DIY'ed this single release into existence by doing all stages ourselves. From jamming to recording to mixing to video production to promo, we used our combined skill sets to bring our music into the light of the techno future we live in. hopefully you can enjoy listening as much as we have enjoyed creating this oddball instrumental dad rock mega-mix.
