Sometimes you just need a couch day. This week on The End in Mind, we are featuring one of my favorite episodes yet with @debmagick. Deb is an intuitive business owner - she empowers good souls to do great things as you stand against the dark. Her business is so intriguing to me, and in this episode she doesn't hold back.  One of my favorite parts is where Deb gives us permission to have days that we need to look inward. Take a step back from the hustle and bustle and actually listen to our bodies instead of constantly pushing, rushing, shoving ourselves into some distorted version that society “expects us to.”  This was a large reason why I wanted to start my own business as well, because, guess what… I love a nap, I love taking time to build flower arrangements between my calls, spend time with my puppy, grab lunch with my mom and my aunt. You name it, I wanted freedom to live that life that I desired - without being told what to do.

Has anyone seen this new interview of Reality Reckoning with @bethennyfrankel and @raquelleviss ?

If you know me, I am and have always been a reality TV lover - I find it easy to watch and super entertaining. This year most people discovered the show VanderPump Rules because of how intense this year's scandal impacted pop culture. In the past I never had actually stepped back and thought about how these stars have been impacted by the media. I honestly always thought the show was small enough that only Bravo fans followed the show anyhow - so why would most people care?

This year everything changed, or maybe I changed. I started to feel badly for the cast members, seeing their changes in their mindset, witnessing intense conversations flow between humans interacting.

It wasn't so much that the hate wasn't justified, I honestly started to see that people are normalizing this type of hate. We as humans have to stop normalizing this culture. That's how I feel anyway.

After listening to this interview I thought, “Should I stop watching?” This week I am sharing a conversation with a few of my favorite ladies @peaceandwellnesstherapy who have a mental health practice. We’re chatting about all things relevant to mental health, and you for sure don't want to miss this. I just have to know - are you all continuing this reality TV train? Are you taking time away? Are you worried about how this is normalizing hateful language like this?

Do you feel aligned when it comes to your business? Do you wake up in the morning and know exactly what you are going to share with your audience?  Do you feel passionate about how you’re impacting your community?  What holds you back from this if you’re not feeling positively about your answers to the questions above?

This week we are chatting with Barbora, @flourish.with.b! Barbora utilizes Human Design to help her clients accept themselves just as they are today, so when they face a moment where they may be challenged, or not able to show up as their best selves, Barbora helps her clients make sense of their reactions or emotions based on their design. It's a beautiful way of discovering a part of yourself!

Dr. Joe says in this week's episode the longer we dismiss our money stories, the longer we allow the stories to grow - just like fish stories.

The moment that we realize we have a story, a narrative around something, a belief, this could be directly affecting your income. Who would have thought that healing yourself would lead you towards more money? Most people think, “Push through, grind it out, find the sale and complete it.” But what if we did all of that - we tried pushing, we tried chasing, honestly, maybe we even tried not chasing, but the money and income still aren’t at the level we want?

It's time to dive into your stories. Dr. Joe shares in this week's episode how an incident when he was young - much like an incident that any little kid would face, like having an accident in daycare - impacted the way he thought about himself, which was directly related to the amount of income he was making. It was actually stopping him from going for it, and - even worse - it was affecting him subconsciously, so he wasn't even aware of the impact that his fish story had.

So what do we do? We know this healing journey takes time, but scarcity is creeping in. The more we hear about the economy on TV, the more we push, grind, TRY to make it work, it's not clicking. How do we step back and heal? In the midst of all of this?

My experience went like this - I knew I was having high blood pressure when I first started my business because of my fear around what I was doing. I would experience extremes when it came to stress - I would be paralyzed by it, and it would even impact how I was creating content, missing things, and losing concentration.

But I kept ignoring it. I figured, “Once I have money I will be able to deal with it. Once I have money, I'll have all of the time in the world.” But then I got a diagnosis, and I was even more scared. Now I was fearing death. What if I wasn't around to see the money? What if I never made it to the successful moment to enjoy when I literally killed myself in order to achieve?

That's when I realized I have been doing all of this backwards. I can’t create a business without addressing this stress, anxiety, and the fears that I ignored for the majority of my life because these habits were what was keeping me from actually getting what I wanted. What if I never could achieve what I actually wanted without addressing these first?

I thought that's it! So what did I do….

I stopped chasing, and I started listening. Once I listened I implemented, I watched, I felt, I cried…a lot. And then I felt better, I felt clearer, and I could start doing my job better. Which people saw. I didn't have to even say it, I just had to show up, and there it was. The energy of being me was enough.

Patrick, the Host of The Gives Me Anxiety Podcast, shares with us his story of anxiety. He talks about his experience as a journalist, what he's learned from having other anxious leaders on his show, and how he’s utilizing communication to help and empower us from situations or things that may scare us.

What I love about Patrick’s conversation this week is how the power of vulnerability brings communities together. We as people should share our fears, worries, and concerns. We start to see the similarities we all have, and it makes our fears less frightening when we all have the same fears, right?

When you think about marketing, try to think about having a conversation with your client or potential client one-on-one. When you think back to where your clients are, they may be 3, 4, or 5 steps behind you when it comes to your expertise. This is the biggest challenge my clients face when it comes to relating to their clients - we have to remember the journey and what it took to get us where we are today. We have to remember to meet our market where it is - when we don't, the marketing is information overload, your potential clients will become overwhelmed, and - worse - you might as well. The simple lessons can be shared through your marketing, and what is offered through your service will be your knowledge - the big needle movers. Learn more about your ad choices. This week we are highlighting Sales Coach @helenthacker! Helen helps her clients convert through content, Helen talks about how standing out online can be extremely challenging when you’re competing with almost 6 million people and posts across the globe. She talks about how to set yourself up as a credible industry leader, and why we are held back from staying consistent online - which most of the time is because of confidence.

We are so caught up in thinking about what others might think we actually hinder ourselves from expressing what we actually think, how we truly work with clients, the list is endless. Be you and you will convert. Period.

So tell us, have you been being your authentic self online?

Have you ever been on a webinar and thought to yourself - woah, I am way lost, or I am super behind when it comes to this type of skill?

When I first started coaching and course creation back in 2019 I realized that inorder to create content that actually moves the needle for my clients I had to learn where they were starting. I had to slow down, and explain things in an easy digestible manner or I would lose them. I found myself jumping around or sharing pieces of advice that were too far along for someone that was just getting used to posting on Instagram. When we become experts in our space we at times we can alienate ourselves by over sharing. Which does not help our marketing at all. So this week we’re diving into discussions around how to know where your target audience's knowledge level begins. And guess what - like most of our weekly content, we have the same overarching solution - the answers lie within.

First things first - we have to decide who we want to work with. Are we into working with people just entering into your area of knowledge, or have your clients dabbled in work like this before but needs to gain more in depth knowledge? Does your client already have support with what knowledge you're able to provide, but you help them curate and automate within your industry specialty? Once we have these answers, then we can start creating!

This week we are sharing one of the most interesting conversations I have had yet on The End in Mind with April the owner of the @themoonismycalendar!  April's passion is the calendar she developed. Here is a quick description of this amazing way of tracking time: the vision of THE MOON IS MY CALENDAR is to shift the tides to align with lunar time and awaken our cyclical nature to bring personal and collective healing.  The tools and creative practices we offer help you discover how the rhythm of the moon can guide you to see old habits and patterns more clearly. This awareness supports shifts away from burn-out and reactivity, and towards radiant well-being and authentic self expression. Do you follow the moon? Does the moon affect you?

The Spiral of Workaholism is REAL. Let me tell you, I used to think the more I work, the more I stay busy, the more I will be able to get where I want to go.

What I realized was the complete opposite. But here's the deal, it's hard to remember this! Especially as a perfectionist, we really truly believe that we are the only ones that know how to handle these tasks.

For example I was getting ready to get on the plane a few weeks ago for my trip and disaster struck LOL. It’s social media, but it still felt like a complete nightmare to be dealing with - dramatic of me, but true! My client's account had been inundated with spam accounts, and we had to remove them in order to save her insights and all of the hard work we had put into it. Urgency was crippling me, I started to feel tears in my eyes. Then the thoughts began - of course this is happening when I am going away, can I just have one vacation? “What the hell,” I thought.

This was the moment where I knew I had to ground myself. I asked for help. This was huge. Any other time something like this has happened I handled it because I thought that I would get it done faster by myself. But why? Is that even logical? Not really. Jayme, my lovely business manager, helped me. She assured me all is good, it’s all okay, they can handle this.

Do you all struggle with this as well? The need to still be involved in every little task?

This week we are highlighting one of my favorite humans, @claire.campagna!

Claire has one of the best stories when it comes to moving from corporate to entrepreneurship. She calls the start of her journey her “quarter life crisis”. She knew for a while that her time had passed at her corporate job; it was giving her financial positions, she was top in sales, etc., but it wasn't filling her up.

She talks about how many people stay in these positions and lifestyle because they are doing well, considered by the standards of others. But really, internally she knew that this job was taking more than it was giving to her. The job was a larger piece for her, because she was spending so much time there.

She felt guilty walking away, thinking so many people would kill for her position - this is what she went to school for, isn't this exactly what she wanted? But it wasn't.

And that is OKAY.

Guilt is one of the biggest struggles I have also had on this journey. So this week, if you’ve been feeling anytype of guilt - not to worry, we’ve all been there and we're breaking it down in this week's episode.

Steph is a specialist in Marketing, content, social media, all of the things we love here at Meraki!

Steph started out as a teacher which I know so many of you all also come from that industry, she is passionate about helping her clients get out of the spiral of posting constantly and never getting any traction.

This week we break down how to maintain a health mindset even as Instagram shifts and evolves in itself, it can be a lot. I find a lot of my clients end up just giving up because the overwhelm is so real.

But here's the deal which Steph explains so well in today's episode, Copy is at the center of everything that we do! And if we can’t touch base or speak to our clients, that is the gap that needs to be filled in order for entrepreneurs to really make it big in an online business, and even a brick and mortar business as well!

This week we are featuring my mentor Ryan Walter! Ryan is a mentor of mine, he and I met at a local networking event when I was at the start of my business journey. Ryan has a beautiful background in Corporate America, and he used his knowledge to start his own consulting agency. He started a podcast Accelerate to Achieve where he interviews business owners, CEOs, larger corporation participants and asks for their insight behind creating a productive business!

Ryan and I were actually chatting on this week's episode about passion. Why is passion so important when it comes to developing a business? He talks about how entrepreneurs normally don't have the normal job type where we can walk away from our jobs. Our jobs really become a large part of our lives and it's important to find balance between the two, but it’s also important to bring in an outside perspective for that reason.

This week's episode was diving deep with the lovely Ines! Ines and I met a few days or maybe even weeks after she lost her original Instagram account. She had started this new account to get back into things.

One of the things I loved about chatting with Ines initially was her presence and her undeniable glowing energy. Once I got to know her more, her light only shines brighter than before! She brings a much needed perspective to business coaching and talks about what starting a business in an aligned way feels like for her. This episode impacted a huge mindset shift for me, so I can only imagine what you all will think about it!

Leah Pardee is a Manifestation Teacher, Breathwork Guide and Business Coach. She hosts the Bare Naked Soul Podcast and is the author of her memoir Confessions of an Uncaged Soul. She teaches you how to move through fear so you can manifest your dreamiest, juiciest, most fully expressed life.

After reading Leah's (@itsleahpardee) Book Confessions of an Uncaged Soul I knew she would be a great fit for our podcast, The End in Mind. In Leah's book, she shares her real life experience of healing; she talks about her beliefs and what held her back most when it came to starting to live life as her true self. Things that I so directly related to.

One of my favorites that stuck with me was when Leah shared her thought process around her friends and what their gifts were. She talks about how each person in her friend group had a thing: one was into art, one was into music, another loves cooking etc. This held Leah back when it came to her belief around what she could do until she opened up her mindset. She writes that she realized that just because her friends were good at writing, why couldn't she also be? Eventually she even published the book I read.

This really got me thinking - what if we continued to stay with these beliefs that basically hinder our ability to share our information or story with the world? Wouldn’t we actually be causing more harm than good?

When I was 15, my dad passed away. I was thrown into a situation with finances that I would have never expected for myself. One week after he passed I was already processing the fact that I probably couldn't afford college, and might even have to pick up a job to help support myself and my mom.

It wasn't until I received a letter in the mail that everything changed. I was notified that I would be inheriting stock that my father had managed, and it was only for me because my mom and my dad were still legally divorced.

In a matter of minutes I went from thinking that I couldn't afford to buy my next lunch at school to managing stock as a 15-year-old. I was challenged to make financial decisions that I grew up with, and damn, I was scared.

But here's the thing, I didn’t let my fear cripple my experience. I realized that I needed to learn; I was extremely lucky to have many financially intelligent people around me to guide me, but I knew at the end of the day it was me making the decisions, not them.

I remember thinking that I could go to college, and I actually had the chance to look at school outside of possibly taking a few classes here and there. I could manage my investments to support my college education, and I could even manage them to help support myself while I was studying. There I was, my life changed in an instant. This is one of the many reasons why I have leaned into an alternative path - I realized at 15 that anything in life is possible. And if we play our cards right, we may even be able to use these miracles to continue to lead us down a path that originally we thought may never be possible.

This week we were talking miracles - if you don't believe in them, stay tuned for this week's podcast episode.

Infinite means: limitless or endless in space, extent, or size; impossible to measure or calculate.

If we go in to business and life with this mindset, we are giving ourselves the opportunity to see our accomplishments in every piece of what we do. I find that in myself, as a perfectionist, when I would set goals and miss them, or not finish them by the timeline I had given myself, my self talk would get worse, I would feel so down that I wouldn't know what to do next because all I had been focused on was this goal. But, when I focus on my successes coming day by day, or minute by minute, then I am reminded of how hard I work, and the small things that have led me to huge opportunities. Keeping my emotions geared towards driving my business, rather than beating myself up.

Do you find that goals hinder your movement in your business when you’re unable to reach them?

What do intuitive entrepreneurs do when we need to pivot our businesses?

We as HSP and empathic business owners have a hard time saying goodbye to our businesses that have brought us so much love and light! So when it's time for us to move on, a lot of the time we have a lot of resistance around this step.

This week's podcast episode, with @maggielynncoaching, is all about adjusting and moving your business to actually work with you, not against you. Maggie walks us through adjusting her business from a brick and mortar to an online brand. She shares with us the ups and downs of this shift.

I always find it interesting when people think that having an online business looks “easier”, what do you think?

Rosemarie and I had such a lovely conversation on this week's episode, we talked about all things promoting. If you are having trouble with putting yourself out there,  this week's episode is for you!  Rosemarie says that when shes chatting with potential podcast developers one of their biggest hang ups is having all of the things Before getting started, I know I can relate to this.

My first big question to my editor was “What mic should I get?” LOL! Rosemarie says that the mic should be the last thing on our radar when it comes to Podcast development.

The first key to launching a successful podcast is having a direction, who are you speaking to? What are you talking about? Why is this a message that needs to be heard by your audience?  Have you been thinking about starting a podcast?

Sometimes having no energy is a sign that we actually need to be slowing down…. What if we started to give ourselves permission to relax? On a daily basis? What would that look like for you?

Here is what I like to do to relax…

  • Walking with my baby bailey 🤎 check out my stories to follow along
  • Relaxing in a hot bath after working hours and watching my favorite real housewives series (obviously)
  • Sitting and doing absolutely nothing, that's right. Sometimes I just sit and take in what's around me. I especially like doing this after I have worked on a project in our house. I will just sit on the couch and stare at my work, even if it's not perfect. Sean frequently catches me doing this, he thinks I am Cray cray LOL
  • Walking or staring at nature. Watching life around me gives me life, it reminds me that the small things in life don't matter, it reminds me how amazing it is that people and myself are even walking on this planet!
  • I have many other practices that now have become daily rituals, which I hope eventually will grow into habits.

So what does real relaxation look like for you?

Here's the thing about us perfectionists, we don't need urgency, we need energy. We are constantly working, analyzing, developing etc. But if our perfectionism is rooted in scarcity what are we actually creating with all of this energy?

The interesting thing about today's society is that it is rare that people call themselves out on their shit, right? But we healing perfectionists want to be the BEST at healing, so here we are again expending so much energy looking at every thought, and analyzing. Is this a productive thought? Is this a limiting belief? What is tripping me up here?

No wonder we are so damn tired - once we find out we’re perfectionists, we’re busy trying to be a perfect perfectionist LOL. It's actually kind of funny once I think about it (imagining myself doing this overanalysis of my mind constantly, then wondering why I need a coffee in the morning HAH).

With that being said - we don't need the same type of guidance as others, we need to be spoken to, treated with tenderness and kindness so we have the space/energy to develop.

What do you think?

I have addictions to emotions. Yup, I used to think that patterns only played out in things I did, or how I interacted with people, but our patterns actually run much deeper than that. Our patterns flow around words, emotions, thoughts, and all of them funnel through a path in our brain, making some of those pathways much smoother, slipperier, easier to fall into than others. Something I like to think about it this way - if you go back in time to a moment where you're asked to say something great about yourself, an accomplishment, an achievement, something you did, just you, think about how that idea processes. For most of us it's uncomfortable to think about. We feel cocky, entitled, braggy even.

But that’s only because those patterns in our brains feel sketchy and uncomfortable, leaving us with the feeling of uncomfortability that if we are saying something good about ourselves, we doubt that…. Let that sink in for a moment.

Manifesting can work in both positive and negative ways. Basically, manifesting is a form of adding energy into an idea, thought, or situation. So of course if we are constantly focused on the things we don't want in our lives our brains will continue to look for those things, adding more and more energy into outcomes that we might see as less desirable. The same for things that we want, if we continue to think about all of the abundance we have in our lives, our brains will continue to look for reasons behind that.

So what happens when we put comparison into play when we are manifesting? Comparison can lead us down a path towards scarcity, a pretty linear connection. The definition of comparison is a consideration or estimate of the similarities or dissimilarities between two things or people. So if we are using social media to compare our lives, we're bound to feel that we are lacking. But what if we shifted to following people that are similar to us? What type of energy would that create for you?

One of my favorite things about my discussion with @suzi_intuitive this week on The End in Mind is that we were able to define what leading an intuitive business can do for your life and vice versa. Suzi has an inspiring story about how one day she decided to pick up her life and move to Italy. Once she set the intention, it felt like a matter of days before she and her daughter had found their dream home in Italy. The message she shares this week is that really anything we want in our lives, we have the power to create. Suzi shares the ins and outs of what it takes to be a master creator, saying we have a tendency to make things really “hard” but in reality, those things are already in the process of coming to fruition. So the more we are able to have patience and allow them to unfold, the less resistance we will feel through change.

What do you think about changing and developing a life that you love?

Have you been trying to find a coach that works for you? This week we continue our convo with @abbyarrizon & @tuthilllisa!

This podcast (part 1 & 2) is for you! We don't hold back when it comes to financial decisions, finding the right personality, marketing pain point selling etc! Click the link in my bio to check out part 1 & 2 will be coming out this Wednesday!

We are all navigating a new frontier when it comes to online business. So how can we decipher what level of coaching we actually need? When hiring a coach we really need to have our own awareness around what the vision is for this coaching. What do we want out of this? Most of the time when I work with my clients we might start with one vision, but we end up gaining so much more together in the process. However, it is on the coach to know when they can offer the support their clients need or if they need to pass someone on to a different expert, right?

In this week's Unhook from Urgency podcast with @abbyarrizon & @tuthilllisa we are taking on the coaching industry's biggest hiccups when it comes to finding the right coach for you. We cover everything from pricing, personally hiring coaches, what you should look for when searching for a coach, and how important it is to acknowledge that your coach is also always growing as well!

What do you do when someone starts to pressure you into hiring a coach? How do you respond with scarcity marketing? Does it make your body twinge? Or maybe even make your stomach turn? Here is the big question, what is the threshold between pushing yourself out of your comfort zone and just plain scarcity or lack. As a marketer, and as a business owner most of us know that we were taught to sell through scarcity, the ideology of looking where our clients lack and working to fill the void.

But here's the thing - we have all changed so much. What we know about people, how we address people, how we operate in society. Let’s face it, business has shifted. We as a society are changing, so how can we continue to use old sales techniques like scarcity? In my opinion it's time to move on from looking at what our clients lack and start to look at what they have to gain and the knowledge they already withhold!

This one is spicy for sure, one of my favorites yet!

In this week's episode with @bebrightlisa we discuss how to expand your energy to laser focus. We started our conversation on Lisa’s Podcast last week, Find Your Clear Vision. We broke down what intuitive social media is and how we can start to intuitively market on Instagram and other platforms.

What I love about Lisa and her show is that they are so in alignment with The End in Mind! Lisa and I have very similar outlooks, with different approaches. Lisa shares with us her framework for finding your clear vision and how to actually show up doing the things that yo

I remember when I was first introduced to entrepreneurship, one piece of advice I received was to get into a profitable niche. At the time, I would have done anything to get into a position that made me money.

But now, not so much. I found that when I was searching for the next profitable thing to do, or the next client, I wasn't living in the present moment. I wasn’t happy with what I was doing so it was easier to compartmentalize it, search for other opportunities, and bury my head deeper into a business that I really didn’t love.

What happened as a result of that? It blew up in my face. I had no other choice but to venture out and think, what am I actually good at? What do I love doing? What am I able to actually help people with?

I love… 🤎Helping people navigate their purpose 🤎Helping people feel empowered to share their knowledge online 🤎Helping people package their services in ways that feel aligned with their goals 🤎Helping people feel confident in what they are promoting

And I thought to myself… well why aren't I doing that?

Have you experienced this before?

Meditation is not the same for everyone. On this week's podcast with @tuthilllisa, Lisa explains that meditation can look differently for everyone, sometimes it's cooking, walking, getting outside, watching the wind blow in the trees, anything that gets you out of your head. When you are able to stop analyzing your thoughts or over thinking, this is a form of meditation. So if you’ve been struggling to sit still and hum your way through meditation, you don't want to miss this week's episode!

@mike__chu shares his fascinating story with us on this week's episode. Most entrepreneurs like Mike, myself and all of you, are pretty passionate beings. We like to create, expand and impact others. But sometimes, especially when we first start in this line of work, we start to notice some of the patterns we hang onto may not be allowing us to make the impact that we actually want.

Our conditioned beliefs actually teach us to not create, expand and impact others, rather than to stay stagnant with our lives and continue with the patterns that quite literally keep us stuck.

Mike shares with us his experience with launching several very successful businesses, hustle culture, family, alcohol and more. This was one of my favorites, and probably one of our most relatable episodes ever, I can't wait to share this with you all!

Thank you so much for coming on The End in Mind, Mike! @mike__chu

Have you ever considered integrating witchcraft into your yoga practice? After connecting with @yoginiwitchlibby I knew I had to learn more about this unique pairing!

On this week's episode, Libby and I dive into what witchcraft is, how you can start to integrate it into your daily routine (if it feels aligned for you). And what that practice might look like! As an avid card puller myself I loved how simple and easy Libby made this practice sound. She says it's a great grounding tool for her. Whenever she's feeling like she needs to come back to her aligned path, she'll pull a card!

I am totally using this tip in the future! Do you use card pulling in your daily routine? What cards are your favorite? I am always looking to expand my collection!

Lets just be honest, we as holistic, spiritual, intuitive entrepreneurs have a really hard time with getting our marketing down right?

Let's break it down…it's not because we are lazy, or we don't care, or that we don’t know what we should be saying.

It's because we are so connected to people we want to help and speak to everyone, because we know we can. Our sensitivity allows us to keep a pulse on our market so intently, but what happens is we become overwhelmed by the knowledge leaving us a stuck point, and unable to put into words what we are probably picking up on for our clients.

You are not broken, or not entertaining enough. You have all of the answers, what we need to do is use your gifts to help guide your business. Your gifts lead you towards a strong business, a strong path, that you intuitively know you are ready for, but the minor things like getting clients and marketing tend to be the difficult parts for us.

I want you to know that your work gives you a leg up into your marketing, your gifts actually allow you to connect with potential clients in a more indepth way than others, you have the messages that you need to share. We need to silence the noise, get quiet and allow the content to flow to you.

I found when I was manifesting a lifestyle I didn't actually want I was living out of alignment. So what does that actually mean?

I was doing and creating something that I knew intuitively in my body just didn't feel right. I wasn’t able to show up in a calm, realized state because I built a business out of a lack, scarcity mindset. Now, it's not what I was doing, it was actually how I was showing up. And this is important for me to share because I still find so much joy, and looking back on my skills and the information I learned during that time I know without that, I wouldn't be here today.

It's not that my business has suddenly shifted, it's actually that I opened my mind to the opportunity. I started to ask myself, what would feel good? Better yet what would feel the BEST when I get up in the morning? I dropped the stories around what it would take for me to change, the “trauma, hard work, time” and I just did it.

I stopped looking into 10, 15 years down the road. And I started living for today, it allowed me to develop a lifestyle. When I wake up I pinch myself…and it doesn't feel real. I have so many amazing people in my life, my clients, friends, family, what more could a girl ask for?

So what if we all started creating and thinking about this alignment, because of manifestation, we started to ask ourselves…. What if I could have all that I want? And I mean ALL…

@asknaketa and I had the most lovely talk on this week's podcast episode. As a highly sensitive intuitive business owner, do you find it difficult to set boundaries?

I know for myself this was a really difficult step on my healing journey, and honestly I am still navigating it at times.

One of the lines that really caught my attention while Naketa and I were chatting was that she mentioned that boundaries are meant to be expansive. Boundaries can start by looking one way, and may need to adjust with us as we expand our businesses or pivot. But the key to boundaries, Naketa says, is actually finding balance with our boundaries. She has a method she uses to find balance within her boundaries.

Have you ever used dance to help you process your emotions?

The first time I heard about this method I was chatting with Katie, @katieholland8, in the DMs. She shared with me what she does with her clients and why she believes that this dance is one of the most important pieces of getting more in tune with our bodies.

After experiencing imposter syndrome, I was on board. Katie shares her story in this week’s episode, how she went from working in the pro dance industry in Bollywood to taking a leap of faith, starting her own business from the ground up. All because she got a message one day telling her if she didn’t go after this goal, she quite literally might die.

@luminousvista_advertising Nicola and I had the BEST conversation in part two of the interview. Not only did we touch on what actually happens when you start to heal, we both touched on the fact that healing isn't always easy. Especially when we have past trauma, or situations where a belief we hold so closely no longer really impacts us the way it used to. When you are at this place, Nicola says it's really important to lead with Love. The Love that you start to express during your healing venture will flow off onto others, plus it keeps us out of this unnecessary spiral of inflated emotions. Love keeps us balanced and grounded, allowing us to show up as we truly are.

We need more love on Instagram, honestly we need more love in this world.

This week's podcast interview is with the lovely Nicola the owner of @luminousvista_advertising. Nicola and I have the same perspectives, we both believe that the more we as humans can lead with love, the more we start to Take Back our Own Power.

Some people might think that fighting for what you want takes more pressure, more talking, more movement. But we took the other side of the conversation in this week's episode, what if we just lead with love.

Would that make us more curious? Would it open our minds more? Would it make us happier at the end of the day?

You will have key takeaways from each of these analyses, it will make coming to your account much more clear. Join me for our Free Learn Your Insights Webinar next Wednesday, June 22nd to learn more about creating content and leveraging the data your account already has!

I have been exactly where you are. When I first launched Meraki I had no idea what I was supposed to be posting. I found creating content so challenging, and most of the time I just ended up not doing it. You can even scroll back on this account and still see some of that content that I created - don’t come for me, I know it wasn't good LOL!

Content creation is actually not as difficult as it seems. Once I started to step back and think about what my community wanted to hear from me the content started flowing. During the pandemic I started to open up more about my story and who I am. I started to see movies and signs on the street that prompted content ideas for me. It really came down to trusting myself and experimenting a bit, with no expectations attached to it.

When you write your content, how do you get ideas from it?

The most powerful form of manifestation comes when you start looking into the details, says @kate_hanson. Think about the coffee in the morning, the sun on your skin, the cold fruit you're eating, the family you have over, the moments in time you really want to create, down to every sensation you can think of.

We even get into a few fun exciting things I have been manifesting on my own recently. And it made me think, when was the last time you asked yourself - If you could have ANYTHING in the world, what would it be? No money restrictions, no outside environmental factors, what would it be?

Now, let's think about, what's the first step towards getting there? That's how @kate_hanson walks us through, turning a manifestation into a reality in this week's episode of The End in Mind! @kate_hanson walks us through, turning a manifestation into a reality

Our whole lives we are told to fit in, you should also stand out, but don’t stand out too much, or that might make you “weird” - GASP!

I used to believe that standing out too much would draw too much attention to me, I wasn’t sure if I wanted to be seen, or honestly who I really was if I was to be seen in the first place. So I decided to try and fit in, which most people do, right?

Fitting in meant following the status quo, doing the things that seemed “right”. Rather than doing the things that felt Real to me.

I remember the first time it was so obvious to me. I was sitting in class in JMU communications school, and a professor mentioned that “when” we get a job at an agency, this is how we should be writing our feedback, that's why we were getting this assignment in class.

When I was in school if I got an assignment I did it right away, it was a part of my perfectionist controlling personality. (I still struggle with this at times). So naturally after I got the assignment I went home and started typing. By the end of the paper I was so proud of myself. I even had a family member read over it (since hello, I'm terrible at grammar) . I could have used some extra eyes before the final draft was submitted.

When I got the paper back, I received an F. There were multiple markings all over the paper, it looked like my paper was put through a pen fight, LOL, looking back now this can be funny, but at the time I was heart broken.

I had to go to office hours so I could speak with my professor in person, I asked “What did you think was wrong with the paper overall”. He said, “You completely missed the assignment, no one in the real world would ever accept a paper like that.”

I stood there, suddenly feeling nauseous. Well if I didn’t fit in here, where the hell was I supposed to fit in? A common feeling I had throughout my life, but nevertheless still painful.

Have you all experienced anything like this before? Where you were quite literally told, you don’t fit in, you’re not good enough?

I used to think that the “trauma” word was something to be afraid of. When I was growing up trauma was one of those things you just never talked about. I am sure most of us felt like that.

Once I entered into the healing community as an entrepreneur I noticed that the word trauma wasn't scary, instead it had taken on this new meaning. I realized that I had thought of the word trauma as something negative for so long, almost like it's something I had to hide, or I would never even admit that I might have had some in the first place. But here's the thing, we all have trauma, some form of it. It's not like our whole lives could be so perfect to the point where we never experienced anything that may have tainted or impacted how we approach life. But the good thing is that since we all have some form of it isn't that the beauty

This really stuck with me, as a highly sensitive person which I chatted about with @kimvkeane on this week's podcast episode. If we all experience trauma shouldn't there be peace in that?

I find that when I entered this community of online entrepreneurs it was like opening up a door to a community that quite frankly I didn’t think existed. And to be honest I didn’t know if I would fit in, but I was so wrong. I finally found my people, we think similarly, we talk the same way, we focus on what actually matters and how we impact the world. I am so grateful for it.

And the added bonus was that I was actually creating a community of my own in the midst of it, which has now reached over 3,000 people! How amazing? I am so grateful for every single one of you. You just truthfully have changed my life and the way I think about people.

So tell me, do you feel like you have found your community? On or offline?

Most of the time I hear that my clients feel that their lives are not exciting enough to create content around. Here's the thing, your life doesn't have to be super exciting for someone to want to work with you especially when you are just starting, they do however want to know that you’re credible. So instead of focusing on what we may be lacking with our content, let's focus on how your content can add more value to your followers' lives.

Some of the content I like to focus on with my clients is by going over frequently asked questions or statements from their clients. What keeps coming up for them? It's likely that if it keeps coming up for one client it keeps coming up for all of them!

This week I have another lovely quest that I am so excited about! Carina is a boutique owner that has really found her niche online. Now she runs a large community of women that she supports to develop their own online boutiques.

What I love about this week's episode is how much Carina shared with us. She opens up about financial difficulties after purchasing 7 businesses that had some serious issues. She and her husband fell into a difficult time in their lives but they were able to prevail, by still sticking with the very first business she bought at age 26, a donut shop, and filing for bankruptcy.

She says that the first place you can go wrong as a business owner is getting greedy. This was a message I really needed to hear, I am so pumped for you all to hear it as well!

This week's episode was again another awakening. It's so interesting that once I launch a podcast all of the messages that I need to hear seem to find me, especially when I am speaking with such amazing guests!

@healwithkayla and I dive into what it means to rest, and why taking rest in business is so important for what we do. I recently have seen that when I am able to stay grounded and really take time for myself working in my business is actually much more enjoyable. Kayla talks about how she took time off when she knew her body needed it, and that's what I love so much about this episode, we really got into what it means to start listening to you!

When you’re first launching a business it's easy to feel like the family outcast. Especially when you are the first entrepreneur in your family, but even if you aren't, people still tend to look at you differently when you go all-in on investing in you.

Through this outcast feeling it becomes easier to seclude yourself, in fact its natural and sometimes necessary because you need to 1. Focus on growing a business and 2. If you’re launching online, most of the time you're working from home anyways, and it's not like you have team members to collaborate with.

In this weeks podcast episode with our lovely guest, Hana, @thebalancedhealer, we discuss every level of fear and rejection that comes from family, loved ones, that are simply just worried for our future. They honestly have the best intentions, but how as we the the “different” family members stay on the path, keep the trust within ourselves, despite what our loved ones say.

Last week we shared all about anxiety, and how it logically tries to get out of the spiral when I start to feel those lengthy emotions of fear settling in. And I wanted to make it clear that these emotions are good! Fear and anxiety help keep us balanced, it can stop us from making impulsive decisions in our business that could impact us negatively in time. So every time I feel these emotions I do sit with it, and ask myself where is this coming from? I try to think about it in the way of this emotion benefiting me?

For example… If I am thinking about investing with a new coach, but I have this fearful emotion arise, I'll ask myself - what is this bringing up?

  • A fear about an investment?
  • A fear about failure?
  • Am I worried about the person I am thinking about working with?

When I first started Meraki Media Management, I was stressed out constantly.

When I first thought about starting a business, I thought my life is going to be pure bliss, it's going to be such a great feeling, I can control my own schedule, I'll be less stressed etc…

In reality this was far from true. I actually became more riddled with anxiety. And today I still deal with some of these emotions, so I really wanted to share this part of my story with you all.

Most entrepreneurs when they’re talking about their journey that dont always give the good bad and the ugly, but honestly that's just not my style. So here it is… starting a business was one of the hardest things I have ever done. And I know many people are probably thinking well you’re so young, of course, I have seen a lot in my short life time, and even after grieving and losing close family members, this business still gave me more anxiety than greif at times.

And once I started to see patterns emerging over and over again, like most people in this industry, I decided to start digging. Where the hell was this coming from? And how could I make this constant emotion of stress disappear?

Are you living in a constant state of stress?

Marketing doesn't come easy for everyone, especially when it comes to a solopreneur business. Most of the time my clients say it's just really uncomfortable talking about themselves, that's why they might work with me through coaching or management. Because when you bring in fresh eyes, we can see all that you have to offer.

But even speaking for myself I have realized when you’re in it everyday for 3 years, it's easy to forget how far you have actually come. It's hard to remember where you started, and the more you grow, it's important to look back and say - Hey, you did this, you started this from nothing, and that's pretty cool!

In  this week's podcast episode we're interviewing @thetiffanywynn Tiffany has some amazing nuggets of knowledge in this episode, it's definitely one of my favorites!

Following your intuition is a necessity in everything we do in life, it's in business, relationships, shopping, etc. Our intuition teaches ourselves to be trustworthy with who we are and what we decide to do. It truly can guide us towards finding unconditional love for ourselves. It's something I am still working to connect with on a soul level.

Once I started working with I learned that trusting yourself will help build awareness as well. Susan helps her clients learn how to connect with their intuition, and since I have been a part of her journey. Her knowledge has taught me that sometimes it's not easy to make a decision like even getting dressed in the morning.

This week's podcast episode Susan and I will be diving in deep to discuss intuition, style, building a business and more about her story!

I am so passionate about social media because I find it so fun to connect with every single one of you. This is a place to discuss and express ourselves as entrepreneurs and women. It's a gift to be able to share our point of views and discuss them together on this platform. But at the same time it can also be hindered by the haters. So how can we find the balance between expression, business, community building and not pissing people off?

Here's the thing - people will always have opinions about others opinions. It comes down to us knowing that our opinions are valid, and so is the person that has a completely different perspective/opinion on this platform.

We need to remember that we as consumers have a choice to engage or not engage with content. We can decide as community leaders who has a spot in our community and who doesn't. If I offend someone or if someone offends me, I like to think about that feeling. What is this bringing up for me? Why do I feel this intense emotion? Most of the time it has to do with me - not them.

And if someone continues to feel an emotion that is unhealthy, maybe it's become a pattern with this other person, sometimes cutting ties is the best way to go. However I hope as a society, we can get to a place where understanding that other opinions are valid, even if we disagree, is just a part of life.

This week our guest is @ems_path Emily and I had the best time chatting about my limiting beliefs, past traumas and safety. The importance of safety had never struck me as an issue in my life until she and I had a session together. And it actually came up again in this episode as I shared some symptoms of where I hold tension. This podcast is definitely one of the most intimate I have produced thus far, however, I hope in the way that I share my story it will encourage you all to do inner work like this as well.

It became clear to me that if I didn't start to dedicate time to working on myself, pouring myself into my work would never be able to cover up the issues that I needed to face within my own brain. Working was only a temporary distraction to what was bubbling up under the surface. If you have been feeling this same way, or if you're interested to learn more about Theta Healing, this podcast is for you! Here are a few of the many things Emily offers as free resources, be sure to check out her IG for the links!

When I went to JMU I studied communications. We research elements of evolution around communication, how it impacts people and what it has done in today's society.

If you follow certain topics like this I am sure you have seen a few studies explaining social media effects on the brain, things like overindulging in social media is actually now being researched to see if that behavior can chemically alter your brain.

You may be thinking - well how would this impact business owners?

We as online serviced based businesses need to realize that when we use this application on an extreme level (just like anything in life), it can have a negative impact. Why?

Honestly I don't believe that endless social communication is good for anyone. It sucks energy, mindless energy, it's thoughtless, it's brainwashing if you aren’t careful of what we consume. And that's because communication on these platforms has evolved so quickly! We as humans haven't had a chance to adjust, and that's why so many people lost their marbles when the internet first came about.

Join me for more this week about social media impacts and how we as content creators and business owners can focus on our mission without wasting endless amounts of time trying to keep up with the Joneses.

When you think about instagram what do you think the best form of marketing is? What pulls people in the most when it comes to your account? I like to start thinking about it like this….

  • When you’re on Ig what do you watch the most?
  • What content do you find exciting or engaging ?
  • When you purchase things off of this app, is it from an ad? A story?

This is key when it comes to you understanding and gaining more and more insight

Remember when going Viral was the BEST thing that could have happened to you as an IG user?

Here at Meraki we like to refer to the Viral quest as the viral spiral, it can simply send you as a business owner completely off track and, as most of us know, hijack us from completing what we actually need to get done in biz - like lead gen and taxes (the boring stuff lol).

This week i'll be sharing more about what I used to think 3,000 followers would do for my business VS what it actually did and how I believe that outcome came about. As most of you know, you come here for a different approach to IG. We aren't about large accounts, we aren't about the more the better, instead we focus on our goals and work backwards. We start by thinking about instagram as a tool rather than the end all be all to our business. Which as a social manager had me caught up for a while - I thought if I didn't have 10K followers who the hell would listen to me? Why would people trust my success story of taking an account from 18k to 500k in under a month? Would I believe me if I heard that story LOL, probably not. And to be honest - this exact thought is what made me change my perspective on my business, however I eventually realized how harmful these thoughts were.

Do you get caught in the viral spiral?

Let me tell you I can 100% relate to that feeling! I remember at my previous position we were constantly brainstorming, what can we promote, what can we share on Instagram this week. And honestly coming up with the topic made the experience so crappy that by the time we figured it out we didn't have any motivation to create the actual content!

This week we will be sharing some tips and tricks on how to not get stumped when it comes to content writing! And you will want to stay tuned for our podcast episode where I will be giving my strategy - 3 ways to stay unstumped on Business Social Captions!

The thing is if we don't plan out some of our content to being with, most likely we don't have a plan for our business overall - which could be holding us back as business owners to more of that casssshhhh which so many of us need, especially when we are first starting out!

I want you to think about it- if you gave yourself 60 minutes to brain dump all of the things you want to do in your business this year, and separate each thing out to a different month, so its more doable for you, you would have a ton of topics to speak on weekly in your business! It would give you an entire business marketing plan without much thought at all!

For me I knew I wasn't reaching my full potential when I started to realize how much my patterns were affecting me. But I had no clue how to stop those patterns, not until I started working with people and asking for help.

@spiritually.curious Ilia came into my life when I knew I needed a change. After I started working with her and learning more about what she does I realized how many gifts all of us have. All we have to do is be willing to let go, and ask the right questions! Join me this week for more about Ilia and how her work has changed how I approach business, relationships, and almost everything in my life.

When I first started working with ilia I found us talking about the smallest things like ears ringing, hearing voices, seeing things, etc. and I found myself thinking, wow, that's what that means?

These small things actually are your intuition, something is speaking to you within, and until we start to listen its almost impossible to feel at peace. The best part about it - is that we all have it. Every single one of us. Ilia helps us find that voice, and figure out what that means for us, it's so enlightening to know that we are not alone. All of us experience this, however not all of us listen, do you listen?

I started listening… and it changed everything.

I love using Instagram to network, it's one of my favorite ways to connect with people all over the world. And I find it's the easiest way to communicate with my clients.

Have you all heard this idea that Instagram is the new business card? I love this term because honestly its so true! Your instagram is a place where you can cover Frequently asked questions by your clients, that way by the time you get on the sales call with them it makes the sale that much easier! And you will hopefully spend less time chatting with people that arent your ideal clients.

If you get a plan down to make this app work in your favor it will come back to you tenfold in the long run.

Here are some of the boundaries I have set with instagram for a long time, but when I start to blur them, I find my mental health is going off track…

  • Time Limits
  • Focus on connecting with the right people
  • Only consuming content I want to see, not have to see
  • And so much more!

Todays the day! This episode with Aoife Mind Body is one of the most raw episodes I think we have had yet on the End in Mind! I can't wait to hear what you all think!

Patterns are beautiful because we can start to see patterns within marketing, our clients, your work, patterns help us create habits right?

As we all know, sometimes habits/patterns can also be hurtful.

My goal this year is to understand patterns. For myself. For my clients. For my team members, etc.

Today's episode is all about when you break from the pattern and take a risk.

Living with the unknown used to feel impossible for me. I remember graduating college and thinking, for the first time in my life I don't have a plan, I don't have a school I am attending next year, I don't have any idea what I really want to do… WTF?!

Like seriously, when we step back and we look at what society does to us, it's really something uh? Youll go to school until you are about 22/23 years old, then they say good luck bitches!!! LOL, it's crazy!

You're basically coddled until you graduate then you’re on your own.

I used to think well I guess I should just go for it, it's all a learning experience, which is great, but it is a bit crazy. Then people wonder why we all have issues with anxiety? I mean my whole generation and generations before us had plans sometimes for years ahead of time and now all of the sudden were left with the unknown. It's scary! And add the stress of starting a business, it sounds almost impossible.

Over the past few years my business has actually become one of the most routine and helpful unknowns in my life. It was like jumping into an ice bath when I graduated, and now I feel like the tub is lukewarm, not perfect but it's getting there. And living with the unknown was/is not the easiest thing for me, but it's all a part of it.

What about you? How does the unknown affect you?

When I was in the middle of quarantine, stressed, worried, constantly thinking about the future, I would sit on my phone for hours. Sometimes looking at videos, other times, falling into a complete comparison on who I wanted to be, what I wanted to look like.

Which honestly was the biggest waste of time, why?

Because those hours I could have spent doing those things to develop the life I wanted. Those hours could have been used to design a new course, develop a new program, book a trip, work out, cook a protein heavy meal etc.

Social media constantly takes us out of the present moment. Think about when you are with a teenager, and their eyes are glued to the screen, sometimes they don't even look up from their phone when you’re talking to them, it's because they’re being transported, to somewhere else, to the future, to this fantasy life, which at the time may give them an escape but how does it actually make them feel?

I know from my own experience, not great. Until…I started following the RIGHT people. Now I only follow a specific type of person, a nice person, a driven person, that shares the good and the bad. I also limit the amount of time I am on this app. I don't waste time, instead I am on here to talk to clients, and get off. Why should we waste time here? There is no point!

I practice not being connected to my phone all of the time. When I am working I need my phone, when I am not, why can't I leave it home? Who actually needs me that badly? Remember, before cell phones you couldn't get in touch with people in a pinch, and there was a peace to that. Finding a happy medium will give you peace and freedom.

As the holidays are quickly approaching, I wanted to give some of the ways I prefer to plan my marketing out for me and my clients!

We work on a monthly schedule, that reason why we chose monthly was because in business things are constantly changing, sometimes if we plan too far out we end up adjusting things any how, this monthly planning allows for business owners to decide a weekly topic, something that are passionate about, and can speak on for a whole 5 days, and then each day of the week we build out the content, including calls to action that drive their business goals!

The best part? This topic can be used for a newsletter, a funnel to send an audience to from a speaking engagement, talked about on their podcast etc.! With a plan we can start to build the foundation of what is important to us that month!Hashtags, content creation, developing an audience online etc.

  • Managing your mindset, understanding the impacts of social media, mental health awareness, self awareness etc.
  • Timing, planning, how to impact your life, developing a lifestyle you love etc.

Just because I didn't like the story doesn't mean it affected all of her followers in the same way! Sometimes I think I may be sharing too much, too much about my personal life, maybe just giving a look into my life in an extreme way for my listeners, but then I realize, that's why they are here! They want to hear the negative, the positive, and we always give it an End in Mind spin!  This is the key to over sharing, how are you spinning it back to your business, how is the story you're telling impacting your listeners that may feel the same emotion you do? This is how we have to start thinking about our content in an emotional way, from there its a bit easier to package together!

Now that I work in the holistic space I have started to understand what my real driving force is, and I think for me it's that little voice inside my head that I am either willing to listen to or I am shutting it down.

When I shut it down maybe it's because I can't change the outcome in that moment, but is there something I can do that could help change or alter the path in the future? The answer is almost always yes.

We live in a society where everything is immediate. That's why it is so hard for most of us to learn patience (HELLO, me). But if we can start to lean into the unknown and trust that whatever cards we have been dealt are here to teach us something, no matter how annoyed we are with them, isn't there a beauty to this? That we can alter our path by one simple decision, it could be as small as changing your clothing, or calling a therapist. But what matters is listening to the voice first, and sitting with that potential unknown, it's hard as hell. But boy, did those moments change my life forever.

This podcast episode I am sharing a few stories about my past and how these experiences at jobs and at school really helped me find my footing before jumping into this business! A lot of us have soooo many skills, but we either don't give ourselves credit for them, we ignore them, or we minimize our gifts, that way we can stay inside of our comfort zones where we all feel safe! I wanted to run away from sooo many of these challenges when I was first faced with them. But now I see all of those challenges as blessings!

Tyrone is the owner of Opportunities to serve the Amazon of Business Services. He started his business after a career in the mental health field, he worked with all ages and he has a pretty similar story to mine!

He is so great at explaining how to optimize talents, how to have a grounded perspective on life, and how to start educating yourself. His approach is all about making the time, he says there is always time for things that are important to us. And I couldn't agree more, in this interview I learned so much.

A lot of what I experienced in this interview helped me shape how I thought about the stories I was sharing earlier this week! That's why I thought it would be perfect to share with you all!

So I have to know, do you consider yourself a leader? If not, why? How can we shift that?

I believe Music is one of the most powerful ways to communicate. You can even see trends developing through music, what song is on the top charts currently? What artist is the most famous? What do they represent their brand, who they are etc? What oldies come back after years of not being on the top chart list? It all has a meaning behind it! If that many people like a song, most likely, we can see something here.

Do you look to music for trends?

Humans are creatures of habit, but what happens when those habits actually harm us?

A few weeks back Facebook had a whistleblower step up and share some of these patterns and habits that seem to be recurring in young teens social media usage. The patterns and habits of going from a healthy eating recipe post, to a fad diet sales page happens within minutes of connecting with content.

When I was young this was a marketing tactic I started to notice on my personal Instagram page. I started following health and fitness accounts to get more ideas of workouts for the gym, it started out very innocently. A few before and after posts, a few workout videos and next thing I know I'm on my instagram explore page and I see all of these graphics “Skinny is better than…..” WTF?  I didn't want to be marketed by these types of ads, luckily at the time I was at JMU and my sorority was openly talking about eating disorders, it happened to be our philanthropy. I saw how much it can impact people.

This was actually one of the reasons why I waited/hesitated with starting Meraki Media Management. I didn't want to be known to work with a platform that could harm children, adults, everyone. So much so that I really contemplated it. I told myself when I was creating my first course I would share these negative thoughts that I had while I was using social media. I wanted people to know, they aren't alone, and they don't have to stand for this type of content!  How do you feel about this recent publicity around Facebook and instagram? Please know that this account is a safe place. We do not stand hate here, if you hate you will be blocked, take that hate elsewhere!

How do you show up on Social when you just aren’t feeling 100%

  1. Share stats! - Give your clients testimonials on your stories, tell them how you can move the needle. Because even on your worst day - you can still make a difference in someone's life!
  2. Tell your clients about your malfunction LOL - Don’t let one technical glitch ruin your day! You can bounce back, remember misery loves company, share your glitch with your clients, make them feel like you have human too! Its okay to have tech issues, we have all been there.
  3. Smile! - sometimes all you need to pull yourself out of a funk is a smile, push yourself to get on social, share a story, talk about your services, and SMILE! A simple smile can change everything! Give it a try next time you wake up on the wrong side of the bed, let me know what you think!

Ashlee Berghoff from ASquareOnline joins us to share all the stories of business struggles. Additionally, for all of my moms out here, you want to listen to this!

Everyone is talking about Manifesting recently - It's kind of a Fad Topic currently . Which is a short lived trend - I believe it wont last long because the fact is its really hard to simply manifest something! You have to follow your intuition and lean into the small moments where you feel your stomach light up. Take it and run! Don't think twice, our brains tend to talk us out of it! Just like I shared last week in my podcast episode.

When I first started networking I would show up to meetings at starbucks in college sweatshirts, hair up, definitely in need of some coffee type of look LOL.

Once I met my stylist she talked to me about how I was showing up for my business, was it how I wanted people to perceive Meraki Media? Definitely not.

My clothes became one of the easiest ways to help me manifest my life. If I wore something I looked confident in, it showed up in my energy! The best part - it didnt cost me that much money! Amanda took me to places I could afford, while still looking like a million bucks!

Sometimes I think we are too smart for our own good. If you believe in things like evolution you may realize that some of the primal interests we have built in our systems have actually been some of the reasons why I believe we combat daily limiting beliefs. That's why when I talk about things like Fear I reframe it. Fear can drive us, but fear can also keep us in the exact same spot for days or even months.

The truth? We have to be our own coaches when it comes to our limiting beliefs. We can go to shamans, coaching programs, courses etc. What we have to do all throughout those processes is turn into our own biggest cheerleaders. And not in a cocky way - instead a way of holding yourself accountable, finding the time to put you first, manage your mental health, decide what you believe without diving into the chatter.

Recently I have been working with a few clients that have concerns around their offers, is it what their clients need? Are they ready to put themselves out there and charge for their services? Do they have the experience? There are a lot of questions that roll around our heads when we start taking this leap of faith! And its scary - it also can come in the midst of already being in business and needing to “pivot” - mosted hated word of 2020 LOL

So this week were diving in - whats your one thing? Whats something that lights you up? What is your purpose? Do you know what type of impact you want to make?

Lets start there - then tomorrow we will dive into developing offers, and how to sell them online!

I was listening to a podcast recently where @projectme_with_tiffany was interviewing @theartistmonetbeauty. It was such a special episode for me because Monet starts discussing how to surround yourself with “high” vibrational people. This has helped her stay patient and keep her set on her goals.  How to separate yourself from negative vibes in the business world!

  1. Set boundaries - what can you put into place to allow these people to potentially be weeded out of your lead generation process. I'm currently working on setting up a questionnaire to send clients prior to us chatting, this way I know if they are a good fit for Merakis services before we get on the phone
  2. Don’t be afraid to build abundance into what you do with your clients. Frequently my clients will say things like “You’re so easy to work with” This is consciously a goal I had when I got into business. I want my clients to think when they receive our invoices - it's a relief, one less thing they have to worry about, helping their lead generation process while they are working. “Overgiving” is of course a thing - the more you lean into what your body is telling you the easier it is to know your limits with your clients.
  3. Say NO!  These must all seem pretty contradictory when it comes to running a business - but thats life right? ITs all about finding the balance of what works for you!  When you feel a pit in your stomach while youre on a sales call, do you still hire that client?  When you pitch your services and someone asks for a discount do you lean in?

Discover your Values - your values will lead you to the perfect combination of all three of these tips

Should you cancel your client call next time you feel “off” ?

Definitely not. Take the client call. Certain things we know we have to push through when it comes to running your own business. We know we have to keep our clients happy, and tomorrow you could wake up and feel “off” again.

However the more you tap into this feeling of feeling “off” or not, it helps with choosing and making decisions in business. Maybe a partnership, you’re interviewing someone for your podcast or on boarding a news client; I found that when I check in with my body I can feel tension, or a tightness when I am making a decision that might not be in alignment for what I actually want. It's so interesting how much our bodies and feelings can have an impact on what we want and don't want.

This idea of no one having any idea what they are doing was so exciting for me!

I had gone to college and been told by so many teachers, mentors, you have to have a plan. You need to know where you’re going to work when you graduate, you should know exactly what you want to be by the time it's junior year because you have to pick a major! All of society is constructed to put us in these roles. But the truth is that no one really knows what's coming tomorrow. No one knows what's going to happen next, we can try to plan but life isn't really planable.

Even writing this I can feel limiting beliefs arising. We have to plan, yes, we should plan, but we cant be disappointed when life gives us a different outcome, because we aren't in control.

It's actually really freeing when you think about it. If we all don't know, then don't we all have the freedom to write our own story? Without fitting into these constructs?

Stepping into the CEO role is a challenge. It’s almost impossible to visualize yourself as that person without working through self doubt first. I know because when I was getting started with my business I had no clue why I was having panic attacks, not able to sleep, feeling so uneasy about the future, the list goes on.

Do I care now that things might not go how I planned? Of course! I’m human right? But now I can manage my self-talk closely, notice when I’m slipping and hopefully give myself grace during those times instead of judging myself. It's the hardest lesson I’ve learned so far. It’s so hard because it's a habit that comes so naturally to the way our brains work, it's something innate within all of us. We have to step back and observe ourselves, become self aware enough of how we are treating ourselves. It's all starts there.

“It’s over, I can’t handle this, I’ve never done this before, why should I try? What if it doesn't work out? What if my family thinks less of me?”

These were the questions constantly running through my head before I launched Meraki. These questions almost stopped me from going after my dreams.

I woke up one morning and thought to myself, am I asking the right questions?

The real question that kept the Meraki spark alive was - “What if I don’t go for it?”

If I didn't go for it I would lie awake every night wondering what my life would have looked like in my own business. I would be thinking about business plans in my sleep but have no one to test them out with, I would have been filled with regret.

Once I stopped asking myself what could go wrong - everything started to go right.

It took time to build the business to where it is now. It’s running and growing at a pace I am so grateful for. I thank all of the people that supported me along the way because as we know, this stuff isn’t easy!

But again, we are told our entire lives that life has to be really hard. “It’s tough out there”, think about how many times we’ve all heard expressions like this. Once I decided to go against the traditional lifestyle I realized I could take steps to set my life up to make it easier, even if right now I needed to grind to get there it would be worth it.

What about you, do you think it’s worth it?

Everytime I go to speak at an event (virtual mostly) or am a guest on a podcast I tend to see a jump in my following. This is so exciting for someone like myself who started this business from scratch, having no clue what I was getting myself into. I noticed that when I was speaking to people in my ideal client target, business owners, students, young driven women, I was connecting with so many clients at once, and building my credibility so easily with them it made the sale that much easier. This week I want to talk about the importance of warming and landing these PR events, and why you should always be talking about the free value your instagram page has to offer! Join me for this episode to learn more about PR for your business!

Why is video content converting and being pushed more?  Lets think about the thought process of the Instagram Engineers LOL. When another platform like Tick Tock comes out - where people are verbally joking about “The hours they spent on tick tock last night”. I can imagine we would be as concerned as we would if a competitor came in and was stealing all of your clients! (AHHH)! The goal is to stay relative, so that's why they are telling everyone video is key!

What do we know? We know that our clients and followers are still liking our quote posts, our carousel images with information packed in, and our regular photos all of the time. So do we pivot everything to video? No! We simply keep this in mind!

Frequently I want to share more information about forecasting trends for my followers. I know that you all probably really want to be able to think about forecasting trends in your own industries for yourself and not just on social media. On this Podcast Episode we are sharing more about how our human behavior can teach us so much about our ideal clients, the content we enjoy and the moments that we feel certain emotions. Do you ever think about the Algorithms in your head like the algorithm that Instagram is trying to mimic? Its very similar once you think about it. And the more we can decipher what this means exactly, the easier it is to forecast trends and create content that we know our clients want to hear.

The End in Mind is all about keeping what you want in the forefront of your thoughts. That way when you're presented with a shiny opportunity or through, you can clearly decipher, is this getting me one step closer to who I want to be? Will this decision set me up in 5 years to become the CEO of my dreams? Or is this decision only to give me immediate gratification?

In our world of social media we see young kids leaning more and more towards immediate gratification. It's our job as consumers to snap back to the present. Pull ourselves out of this rabbit hole of impossible marketing and BS promises. When you notice yourself getting lost, anxious, concerned…

Stop what you're doing.

Put your phone down.

Grab a pen and paper and write something you're thankful for right at this moment. Anything at all! The senses allow me to be reminded of the present, that's why it's one of my favorite places to start!

My glass of water My feet on my comfy carpet My laptop playing music

Now sit in that emotion, let yourself feel the gratitude that one simple present moment can give which we so quickly move through.

What I love about what I do is that I can plan ahead and work sometimes two or three days a week. Especially if I am going on vacation. Being an entrepreneur seems so great because you hear so many others out there saying this same thing. I feel comfortable sharing this now because I have been blessed enough to grow an amazing team that helps me when I am going on vacation or taking down time with family and friends. Prior to having a team I was a crazy mess, I was overwhelmed, not willing to giveaway tasks and it ended up really hurting my health. It wasn't until the pandemic hit and my business was growing rapidly that I knew I needed and wanted to make a change around my daily lifestyle. My therapist was a huge part of helping me develop weekly/daily routines, managing time and a business.

WHO IS ACTUALLY FOLLOWING? Most of the time the followers you get from a single viral post tend not to be your ideal client, they end up unfollowing you and not engaging with your content, we like to refer to this as dead weight on your insta - it can have many negative aspects to the account including, skewing business insights, making your engagement look lower than it actually is, clouds the feed with people that you aren't actually selling to!

IT'S NEVER WHAT YOU EXPECTED - Once you go viral the expectation you have most of the time isn't met! This is with many goals, we think, if I go viral I'll make tons of money off of instagram and I won't have to work a day in my life! I wish it was that easy, the truth is we have to put in the work up front to go viral in the first place, and once it's there, the work has truly just begun.

WHERE IS THE CONVERSION? - Most of the time people that you see that are making tons of money off of instagram also have some other source of marketing or income. They almost always have multiple different types of income because they know that not every post is going to turn a huge profit. This is a business, just like ours, many influencers work very hard to keep and grow an engaged following.

DON'T DO IT FOR THE EGO - Going viral is really all about our egos, when you look at this app it's a completely ego driven app, it makes sense. We think that going viral is going to give us some sort of social status, unfortunately it's not. Even after we took Instagram from 18k to 500k in under a month, there is still soooooo much work to be done! You have to think about the actual goal and continue to drive that forward, but put all of the other ideas and shiny objects to the side and focus on why you started doing this in the first place. That's when going viral can actually be harnessed in a way to benefit the business!

When we allow labels to define our identities the lines get blurred. Somewhere along my journey I was definitely lost in the labels. The purpose of this episode is to help other adults that have struggled with societal labels their entire lives, to see their disabilities in a different light. The more you protect what you love about yourself the more you water the strengths you have as a person, instead of the weaknesses that education systems seem to magnify for young adolescents. When we can drown out the noise of being told what we can't do, we find all of the things we are really good at. I hope this episode inspires listeners to take a different look at their least favorite personality traits, and see how those experiences have set you up to create the life you truly want, not the other way around. This concept of the End in Mind allows us to work backwards, starting with the end goal, and mapping out a plan on how to get there.

If you're in need of some advice around Business Marketing planning, I would love to chat with you. We can help you come up with a road map strategy for your online marketing that gives you the steps you need to create monthly marketing plans with your end business goals in mind.
