This is the tale of a man and his relationship with Japan which started at the age of two. His story ends with his sentencing to a Japanese Labor Prison. This project will give an inside account to his personal story.
We will get into the court process for a foreigner charged with a serious crime, And imprisonment.

Fortunato is born on the bayou of Biloxi MS because his southern belle mother refused to have a baby north of the Dixie line for fear of being shunned by her family back home. At the age of two Fortunato goes to Japan with his father and entered a Japanese life style with a Japanese step mother. They lived off base and he became fluent in Japanese.
