The DARE TO BE GREAT Podcast: Recent Episodes

Manny D. Rosa

Manny D. Rosa: "Over the years, I have worn many hats. I spent many years being an artist. I have been a club promoter. I’ve owned a mixtape company. I’ve co-owned an internet radio station. I built and owned a Hip Hop media outlet. I’ve always been a writer. I’ve always done my own graphic designs. I’m a self-taught web developer (I’ve always built my own websites). I shoot and edit my own vlog. I co-direct visuals with my childhood friend “Tic Morales” (of Ticnology Films). I do my own direct-response Marketing. I own and oversee my own Music Publishing entity, Mags Publishing, LLC.

And guess what? Now I am a podcaster! Lol.

But above all of that, my first love has always been producing music. So yes, I own and operate my music production company, JAM3 Productions.

It’s safe to say, I’ve learned many lessons along the way. Lessons in business. Lessons in dealing with many different types of people. Life’s many personal enlightenments. And more importantly, many mindset shifts, to change the way I think.

My only agenda, and my only stipulation to agree to do this podcast is that I’m able to provide value to my Producer community. Everything I’ve learned along the way, I insist on passing those gems to my peers.

Giving back is part of my DNA. This podcast is my way of giving back to my Beatmaking brothers and sisters. But I insist that the conversation is two-way. Let's share knowledge together. Let's build together. Let's get our business right together. Let's be GREAT together".

Please understand. The amount of what someone brings to the table, should determine how much time and energy they are allowed to take up in your life. A lot of the time, we set aside too much time for those who bring negativity and/or idleness into our lives. But the people who pour positivity and encouragement into our lives, we see them once in a while. We have to be mindful of those who are influencing our lives, and make conscious decisions on who we allow in our circle.

No one ever became successful by themselves. Sometimes, when someone is the face of an entity, we think that one person is doing all of the work. But in reality, there is a whole team working behind the scenes, to make the ship go. In this episode, Manny D. Rosa shares a couple of stories from when he was much younger, where he witnessed collaborative efforts that made groups of people successful. He insists that there should be a shift in mindset, where the Producer community is concerned. Success is more easily obtained when shared interests are united, and teams band together with common goals. We need to start thinking about building the type of assets that can be passed on through the generations.

In this episode, Manny D. tries to understand why some Producers insist on creating this fake persona. The need to act like you’re more successful than you really are, actually has a negative effect on your progress. Just be genuine. Just be real. Just be giving. And just be a good human being. Your audience and your peers will gravitate to you easier, if you’re sincere. The telephone will continue to ring, if people have a great experience with you.
