I was rather surprised to read what Professor Bart D. Ehrman had to say in a recent article What Jesus Really Said About Heaven and Hell.[i] published by TIME on its website.
He states that there are over 2 billion Christians in the world, the vast majority of whom believe in Heaven and Hell and goes on to say that, ‘the vast majority of these people naturally assume this is what Jesus himself taught. But that is not true. Neither Jesus (as), nor the Hebrew Bible he interpreted, endorsed the view that departed souls go to paradise or everlasting pain.’

Perhaps one of the more controversial boundaries is the concept of purdah – the boundaries placed between men and women. Many opponents argue that the segregation of men and women disempowers women because it prevents them from fully integrating in society. On the 3rd of December 2019, a shooting took place at Oshkosh West High School. Students ran from the school building, not knowing the danger they were facing. Recently Daniel Gee of the Farnham Herald interviewed the Worldwide Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, His Holiness, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad (aba).[1]Concerning the rights of Muslim women and the reason why men and women are segregated at Ahmadiyya Muslim events, His Holiness (aba) said: “Separate venue, not value. Separate halls or marquees for women and for men, but the values are the same and the separate place has nothing to do with their teaching, their skills, their potential.”
